She thought she knew so much about it from the TV shows but it was actually Izumiko's first time experiencing Valentines' day.

"I may have gotten too excited. This is too much chocolate."

"Yeah, a little too much, I agree. You even gave me some. Thank you." Mayura hugged Izumiko, oblivious to the gazes around them.

Two girls hugging each other on Valentine's day. This won't cause another rumor, right?

"So, when are you giving it to him?"

"Mmm, I don't think I can." She said looking down.

"Are you crazy?! So all those chocolates you are bringing are not for him?!"

"Yeah, I want to give some to my classmates. The student council members. Some in the history club …"

"Wait! Everybody except him?" After nodding, Mayura gave a sigh of defeat. "I can see a demon in the making. I don't think I'd be able to save you Izumiko."

At class C, girls are going around, distributing chocolates. Izumiko did the same but reserved the specially made ones for Manatsu and her closest female friends. Surprisingly, she also got a bunch of chocolates herself, some are in her locker, others in her drawer. She couldn't refuse them as they were already there when she arrived. Mayura said in other countries, Valentine's day is when boys give chocolate to girls, unlike Japan, so it's very likely that what she received were from them, though she just shrugged it off.

Aside from it being Valentine's day, everything else went smoothly. However, when she was heading to the student council room, she saw multiple known and new couples around her. The meeting had already started but they didn't seem to notice her arrival. It was still February. Finals and the closing ceremony are happening in March. The student council election should happen next year though the members are likely to remain the same. Just adding new first year members. So, there really wasn't much to do yet.

The meeting ended and the members proceeded to their usual tasks. Only the upperclassmen, her and Mayura are left since the other first years were sent for an errand. Izumiko took that opportunity to distribute her sweets to the remaining members.

"Umm, Honoka senpai, Rena senpai, here are some sweets, if you don't mind, would you accept it? I also left some for the rest."

"Thanks! I was wondering who'll give some this year."

Rena said as she was unwrapping hers while Honoka.

"You're really so lady-like! You should learn from her Mayura!"

"Quit it Youhei! My chocolates are mine alone!"

'Except for the limited others.' Izumiko remembered the clumsily wrapped chocolate she got from her. Since both of them are so bad at cooking, Mayura also sometimes tugged along her practices and somehow learned to make some too.

The rest of the first years arrived. Miyuki was eyeing the empty wrappers and chocolates on the table as he entered.

"Oh, you got some from Izumiko, too? It wasn't bad, huh?" Mantasu appeared behind Miyuki.

"Yeah! It was really good! Pretty sure the boyfriend got even better!" teased Youhei.

"President Honoka, here are the files you asked for. I'm done for the day, I'm heading out first."

"Uh, okay. Good job today."

Without looking, Miyuki left the room, leaving everybody speechless.

"Uhm, so, he didn't get some?"

"-coff-, Suzuhara, I don't want the student council and our tasks to be affected by any … personal matter so I want to keep the harmony here as much as possible."

"I'm so sorry Honoka senpai."

"If you're done, you may leave early and … sort things out."

"Yes! Thank you! I'm heading out first."

Not waiting for any response, she left the room in a hurry.

"Youhei! If you have nothing good to say, shut it, will you?!"

"Wai- it's not - why would she- but not-"

"Let it go Mayura, it's not really his fault, is it?" even Manatsu couldn't back up Izumiko this time.

"Mayura, I have a favor to ask of you …"
