Kindergarten. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Sister Helen ushered a very excited Duo into the building. Why was Duo excited you ask? It was his first day at kindergarten. Duo looked at all the bright and colourful pictures hung on the wall. He looked at all the toys, puzzles, crayons, glue, paint, pencils, paper, building blocks. There was so much stuff here!!! "Now Duo, remember to behave yourself. No pushing other children, wash your hands before you eat, wipe your mouth after you have eaten, not with your sleeve but with the tissue I put in your pocket oh and most importantly, Duo remember to share. Remember what I taught you? Sharing? Try to share the toys with the other children. I'm going now. I'll be back this afternoon to pick you up. Bye bye" Sister Helen waved to Duo and disappeared out the door leaving a fascinated Duo running towards large pile of building blocks he had spotted.
"Crash! Haha Shinganami is here!" Heero Yuy turned to see who was causing so much noise. He saw a boy dressed in black with an extremely long braid. "Crash! Thud! Smash!" Heero glared at the boy. He was making too much noise to his liking. He decided to have a talk with him. Heero walked over and tapped him on the shoulder. Duo turned to face the boy and smiled widely. "Hi I'm Duo Maxwell but Sister Helen just calls me Duo. You can call me that too if you want. Whats your name?" "Hn." "Hn? Is that you're real name? Or is that what you want me to call you?" "No my name is Heero Yuy. You can call me Heero and I just want to let you know that you are being noisy. Also its Shinigami not Shinigami." "Sorry." Duo looked sad and for a moment it almost made Heero guilty for interrupting his fun. "Yuy are you picking on the new kid?" a small black haired boy who was holding a teddy bear walked up behind Heero. "Chang! Go away. I am not picking on the new.I am not picking on Duo." "Who's he?" Duo asked curiously. "My name is Chang Wufei and I'm part of the dra-" "I'm gonna call you Wu bear cos you're holding that teddy bear with a pink ribbon around its neck." "Why you! Don't call me that. It's an insult to my family." Wufei said angrily. "Ok." Wufei stormed off in the direction of the sand pit.
Duo was having a blast during outdoor activity time. The children were on a scavenger hunt. They had to find seven different coloured pieces of paper hidden in the play area. Heero was the first to complete his task and was now sitting back watching Duo wonder around the looking for the last piece. The boy's happy go lucky nature captivated him. Heero found himself wishing that he could be more like Duo.
So carefree and happy.
