"Kevin, your mom is fine." Dean assured as he drove the Impala down the road, with Bonnie and Kevin in the backseat and Sam riding shotgun.
"How can you possibly know that?" Kevin asked worriedly.
"Because Crowley needs her to be. He's probably got the place stacked up with bodyguards right now protecting her so that when you do show up, they'll pounce on you both." Dean said.
"It wouldn't hurt at least to make sure she's alright. Besides, Michigan is on the way to Virginia too. We can afford a small detour before Mystic Falls." Bonnie pointed out.
"They've got a point, Dean." Sam said.
"She's bait, man, plain and simple and you wanna swim right up and bite the hook?" Dean snapped before he looked up into the mirror to see Kevin's pleading look.
"Dean. My mom's all alone. She's surrounded by demons. Can you really not understand why I wanna make sure she's OK?" Kevin asked
Dean noticed Sam and Bonnie giving him the same looks as he sighed. "Fine."
On the driveway, Dean made a detour as he grumbled under his breath.
Later, Neighbor, Michigan
The Impala was parked outside Kevin's house as they were on the stakeout, with Sam observing the house with the binoculars.
"Tiger Mom, 9 o' clock." Sam said.
"Where?" Kevin asked, taking the binoculars.
"Left window." Sam said.
Kevin observed as he saw his mother Linda look out the window before returning inside the house. "She seems OK. Sad, but OK." He said, relieved.
Dean and Sam then noticed a mailman walking around Linda's house and Bonnie could tell something was off.
"Check out the mailman." Dean said as Kevin turned the binoculars to see the mailman.
"Yeah, that's Carl. So what?" Kevin asked.
"Yeah, well, Carl's filled your mom's mailbox three times since we've been sitting here." Dean said.
"He's a demon?" Kevin realized.
"And I think the gardener is one too. Don't you think the plants are watered enough?" Bonnie asked, noticing the gardener watering the plants, while the water was spilling onto the pavement down the stairs.
"Good catch." Sam said.
"Yeah, well, one of our vampire enemies once compelled a whole town to do her bidding." Bonnie said, remembering Katherine. "Any ideas?"
The demon gardener was watering the plants, when the hose stopped watering. The gardener was making his way to the backyard but noticed that the hose had been detached from the valve, when Dean snuck up on him from behind and stabbed him in the chest with the demon-killing knife as the gardener fell down.
The demon mailman heard the commotion and was about to enter the backyard, when Sam ambushed him and stabbed him with the demon-killing knife.
Linda was talking with her neighbor Eunis inside the kitchen, when she heard doorbell ring and Linda approached the door and opened it and she stared in disbelief, when she saw who was the visitor.
"Hi, Mom." Kevin smiled.
Linda laughed, barely able to hold back tears. "Kevin."
As she was about to hug him, suddenly, Dean and Sam emerged and splashed her with holy water from their flasks.
"What—" Linda looked confused.
"She's clean." Dean said.
Kevin hugged Linda in relief as she returned the hug, when Bonnie sniffed something. "Is that sulfur?"
Dean and Sam looked alarmed as they immediately realized what it was and they entered the kitchen and saw Eunis open her mouth as black smoke came out, the demon about to leave her meatsuit.
"Et secta diabolica, omnis congregatio, omnis legio, omnis incursio infernalis adversarii, omnis spiritus, exorcizamus!" Sam said rapidly as the demon returned into Eunis's body and seeing an opening, Dean stabbed her in the chest, killing both Eunis and the demon as Eunis screamed and glowed yellow before Dean pulled away as she fell down.
"Eunis!" Linda cried in horror and shock as Dean turned to her.
"That's not Eunis." Dean said.
After filling Linda in, she sat down on the couch, staring and processing. Even though she was aware of the supernatural after the mess with the Leviathans, demons, King of Hell, possessing people?
"Mrs. Tran, your friend was possessed by a demon." Sam explained.
"Have you ever seen 'The Exorcist'?" Kevin asked and Linda turned to him with a skeptical look.
"Is that what you've been doing all year? Watching television?" Linda asked.
"I know it's hard to believe. But it's all real." Bonnie said and Linda sighed before turning to Dean and Sam.
"Did you really have to kill her?" Linda asked.
"The demon would've warned Crowley where Kevin was if we didn't." Dean said.
"And Crowley is the one who kidnapped you?" Linda asked, turning to Kevin again.
"Yeah." Kevin sighed. "He needs me to translate his stupid tablet so he can take over the universe or something."
"Which is why need to make sure it doesn't get into his hands or something worse than what happened with Eunis will happen next." Dean said.
Linda considered as she turned to Kevin. "Prophet of the Lord, huh? That does have a nice ring to it." She then got up. "I'll get packed."
"We're gonna need a safehouse, since Crowley's been to the cabin." Dean said.
"Safehouse? I thought we were going to get the tablet." Linda said.
"We are. You need to get as far away from the demons as possible." Bonnie said.
"And risk letting Kevin fall into the hands of this Crowley again? I don't think so." Linda snapped.
"Ms. Tran, with all due respect, Bonnie's right. Crowley, he's not just a killer, he trades in torment and if he can find a way to separate your soul from you, he'll take that soul to Hell and roast it until there's nothing left but black smoke. Look, it's best if you let us handle this." Sam said.
"I understand." Linda nodded. "But it's not my soul I'm worried about, it's my son's."
Dean sighed as he turned to Kevin. "Kevin, you wanna back us up here? We came all the way down here to pull her out of the fire, now she wants to jump right back in."
"Like I can tell her what to do." Kevin said sarcastically as he noticed Linda's disapproving glare.
"OK, coming with us has few conditions." Dean said.
"I'm going to make you protective charms and hex bags, that way you'll stay off the radar of the demons." Bonnie said.
"And you gotta get inked up, just in case." Dean said.
"Do what now?" Kevin asked.
"Yeah." Sam cleared his throat and Sam pulled the collar of his shirt to reveal the anti-possession tattoo on his chest. "You too, shortstop, it keeps the demons out."
"Fine." Linda nodded, surprising them.
"Really?" Dean asked.
"What, like it's my first tattoo?" Linda asked, amused, while Kevin stared in disbelief. He had never seen this side of her in his life.
Dean, Sam and Bonnie waited outside the tattoo shop, while Linda and Kevin were getting the tattoos on their wrist.
"You think that tattoos will protect them from demons?" Bonnie asked.
"It's done a job for us." Sam said.
"How'd you do the exorcism thing?" Dean asked, turning to Sam.
"I just said the verse backwards." Sam shrugged as Dean and Bonnie shrugged back after a moment, surprised that even worked.
Later, Laramie, Wyoming
After circling the perimeter, they approached the lockers in the bus station.
"The place is clean, as far as we can tell." Sam said.
"Alright, positive thoughts." Dean said as he pulled out the key and opened Kevin's locker but were surprised what was in there. "You hid the Word of God in a diaper bag?"
"No." Kevin said as Dean checked the bag, only to see that the tablet was not in there.
Putting on their law enforcement suits, Dean and Sam went to talk with a security guard named Jerry.
"Been nothing but trouble with these lockers. Got broke into nearly every day a while. Could never figure out who it was until yesterday." Jerry said.
"So you know who did it?" Sam asked.
"Sure, it was Clem Smedley, the guy who worked the desk before me." Jerry said.
"Please, tell me he's at the county right now." Dean said.
"Yup, waiting for arraignment." Jerry said.
"Thanks." Sam said.
Dean and Sam went to visit Smedley in jail as they were in the interrogation room.
"Should have known they'd plant a LoJack in one of those bags. Sharp guy, that Jerry. He'll be a fine replacement for me." Smedley said.
"Right." Sam said. "Well, in one of those lockers, there was a tablet. Do you know where it is?"
"Can I even acknowledge that without my lawyer here?" Smedley asked.
"Uh, look, I'm sure we can work out a little, uh, something-something with the locals, if you just cooperate." Sam said.
"What kind of something-something?" Smedley asked, while Dean stared, flashbacks from Purgatory coming back to him.
Dean and Benny were fighting monsters before Dean pinned one to the tree with a blade to its neck.
"Leniency. So here's what I'm thinking. Full immunity from all charges, both past, present and future." Smedley said.
Sam sighed, frustrated as he wiped his face, when suddenly, Dean took off his tie and used it as a noose, wrapping it around Smedley's neck before Dean pinned him to the wall with the knife to his throat.
"Hey! Dean, come on!" Sam yelled.
"You feel that?" Dean sneered.
"You feel that?" Dean sneered as he aimed the blade at the monster he had chained to the tree. "Tell me."
"Hey. Dean!" Sam yelled as Dean's mind returned to the present.
"Pawn shop, 1st and Main." Smedley said, terrified.
"Dean." Sam said as Dean pulled away and sighed, realizing his PTSD from the Purgatory was getting to him.
"Go on." Dean said.
"Three days journey. Follow the stream. There's a clearing. You'll find your angel there." The monster said.
"You know what, mutt?" Dean smirked. "I believe you."
The monster gulped as Dean drove the blade through his chin into his skull.
"Dean." Sam called as Dean came to his senses and they turned to leave.
They parked outside of the pawn show and went out of the car as they noticed the Ferrari sports car in front of them.
"Whoa." Kevin said, admiring the Ferrari.
"Hey." Linda called as they entered the pawn shop.
Dean and Sam showed their badges to the pawn shop cashier.
"Hello, sir. Agents Neil and Sixx, FBI. We're looking for a tablet." Sam said.
"About, uh, yay big, got some hieroglyphic crap on it." Dean said.
"Sold to you by a thief named Clem. Ring a bell?" Sam asked.
"Nope." Lyle, the cashier, denied, while reading a magazine.
"Hey, Lyle, I've had a really, really bad day today so I'm not in the mood to dillydally. If you wanna do this the rough way, I am happy to oblige." Dean said.
"Sure. We could do it that way, if you wanna get famous." Lyle smirked, gesturing to the security cameras above them and they realized that brute approach was not going to work.
"Is that your car outside?" Linda asked.
"What's it to you, mail-order?" Lyle asked.
"Hey! Pal." Dean said, slamming the counter.
"I got it." Linda assured. "I've noticed you're driving with expired tags. Maybe because you just acquired it in a trade. And I'm guessing that means you haven't registered it yet, which means you haven't paid the tax. Is that correct?"
"None of your business." Lyle sneered.
"Kevin, average Blue Book on a 2010 Ferrari F430 Spider?" Linda asked.
"270,000." Kevin said.
"And the 5% Wyoming tax?" Linda asked.
"10,850." Sam added.
"$10,000 is a lot." Bonnie said.
"Something tells me you're the type who might balk at a tax bill that big." Linda said with a smile.
"What is this? An FBI audit?" Lyle asked nervously.
"No. But my brother, who happens to work for the Wyoming tax assessor's office could arrange that if he thought something untoward was happening here." Linda said with a smile and Lyle paled as Dean, Sam and Bonnie looked amused.
"So, what's it going to be? The tablet or that piece of Euro trash crap you call a car?" Linda asked and Lyle looked at Dean and Sam nervously.
Later, they arrived as the motel as Sam knocked on the door to the room but got no response.
"You sure this is the right place?" Sam asked.
"It's what the pawn slip says." Dean said.
"Kevin?"
They turned to see a man in striped suit with a hat and a walking cane approach them.
"Who wants to know?" Dean asked as he and Sam approached.
"Oh, relax, Dean. I'm not going to steal your prophet." The man assured before noticing Linda and Bonnie. "Ah. And you must be Kevin's mother. And Bonnie Bennett. Welcome back to the land of living."
"OK, so you know who we are, how about if you tell us who you are?" Bonnie asked.
"Beau, and it is my absolute pleasure." Beau said as he bowed and kissed Linda's hand. "And, uh, Kevin, imagine my luck. Here I was working so hard looking for you that I never stopped to think you might be looking for me." He reached into his pocket. "I have something for you."
"What is it?" Dean asked.
"An invitation, dear man, to a very exclusive auction." Beau said as he pulled out an envelope with Kevin's name written on it.
"Let me guess, where you'll be selling the tablet." Dean realized.
"Well, when we acquire an item as hot as the Word of God, it's smart to unload it as fast as possible. And we are in such desperate need of a headliner for tonight's gala." Beau said.
"Well, I hope you have four extra tickets to your eBay party because the prophet's with us." Dean said.
"Oh, if you're worried about the safety of the prophet, rest assured that we have a strict no-casting, no-cursing, no-supernaturally-flicking-the-two-of-you-against-the-wall-just-for-the-fun-of-it policy." Beau assured.
"Is that right? How'd you manage that?" Sam asked.
"Well, I am the right hand of a god, after all. Plutus, specifically." Beau said.
"Hmph. Is that even a planet anymore?" Dean asked, amused with a snort.
"He's the god of greed. And my liege has warded these premises against Hell, Heaven and beyond. Quite necessary with some of the players we see. And incidentally, quite possibly the safest place your precious prophet could be." Beau assured.
"Well, since time is of the essence, perhaps I'll just go ahead and add a plus-four to the prophet's invitation. Copacetic?" Beau asked as he dropped the invitation before he teleported away.
"Well, thank you, Mr. Peanut!" Dean snapped.
"Does this happen with you guys often?" Bonnie asked.
"At this point, I've lost count." Sam said.
"All right, what do we have to bid?" Dean asked as Kevin picked the invitation, while Sam scoffed and Bonnie looked at him incredulously. "Well, we can't show up empty-handed."
"Dean, all we have to our name is a few hacked gold cards." Sam said.
"Alright, well, then we're gonna have to get creative." Dean said before an idea hit Sam.
"Wait a second. These auctions, they display the items to the bidders beforehand, right?" Sam asked.
"They should." Bonnie agreed.
"So all we gotta do is get Kevin close enough to memorize the spell." Sam realized.
"What do you think, Brainiac? You think you can swing it?" Dean asked, turning to Kevin.
"Of course he can swing it, if the bumper stickers on my Previa mean anything." Linda assured as she patted Kevin on his shoulder.
They entered an abandoned warehouse where the seats were prepared for the auction as Dean passed through, the metal detector beeped as Beau approached.
"Now, now, Dean. The system only works when everyone participates." Beau said and Dean looked annoyed as he put his guns and knives into a nearby box.
"I'll be back for this." Dean warned with a glare.
Bonnie looked around, fascinated by the things on display in glass cases, such as Da Vinci's sketchbook with Vitruvian man, Thor's hammer Mjolnir and other things she never expected to see with her own eyes or think they that they would be real.
"How the hell are we supposed to know who's who?" Dean snapped.
"It's pretty simple, Dean. They're all monsters." Sam said.
"Hey. Hey!" Dean said as they stopped and saw the Demon tablet in the glass case on display.
"Any ideas?" Bonnie asked.
"Well, we're gonna have to come up with a Plan B." Sam said.
"And what, pray tell, could possibly have been Plan A?"
They turned to see Crowley as Dean and Sam glared.
"Bring the prophet to the most dangerous place, memorize the tablet and then vamoose?" Crowley asked, amused. "Hello, boys."
"Crowley." Dean growled.
"Kevin! What a pleasure to see you." Crowley said. "And your play date's gone to hiding. Smart, but who is this lovely young thing?" He eyed Linda. "Must be your sister."
Next thing Crowley knew, Linda punched him in the face.
"Stay away from my son." Linda sneered.
"Charming." Crowley said, amused. "Defiling her corpse has just made number one on my to-do list."
"Or how about if I sent your ass back down to Hell again?" Bonnie taunted.
"Ah-ah-ah." Crowley lifted his finger. "Don't mind a love tap but anything more and our pals may throw you out and that would be a shame."
"He's right, Bonnie. It's not worth it." Dean said.
"Listen to them, darling." Crowley smirked as they saw a bald man in black jacket walk down the hall.
"Honored guests, please find your seats." Beau said.
"That's Plutus? What is he? God of the candy aisle?" Dean asked, unimpressed.
"Ladies, gentlemen, the auction is starting." Beau said.
"Good luck with the bidding." Crowley said.
Before they could approach, a blonde young man in Wiener Hut cashier outfit and cap approached Dean. "Dean Winchester?"
"Do I know you?" Dean asked.
"No, but, uh, I knew Castiel." The man said.
"You're an angel?" Dean realized.
"This was the nearest vessel, short notice. Don't usually come to things like this but, uh…" The angel trailed off.
"You're chasing the magic rock." Dean realized.
"We protect the Word of God." The angel nodded.
"Well, awesome job so far, uh, Alfie." Dean said as he read the nametag.
"Actually, my name is Samandriel." The angel corrected.
"Let's just stick with Alfie." Dean said.
"I wanted to ask you about Castiel. What happened to him?" Samandriel asked.
"Well, me and Cass… we, uh, iced Dick Roman and got a one-way rocket ride to Purgatory for our trouble." Dean said.
"But you escaped. Did Castiel?" Samandriel asked before he saw the pained look in Dean's eyes as he realized what had happened. "You know, there are some in Heaven who still believe, despite his mistakes, that Castiel's heart was always in the right place."
"Are you one of them?" Dean asked.
"I think too much heart was always Castiel's problem." Samandriel said honestly and Dean, well, he couldn't argue with him there, remembering what had happened back in the Purgatory before he entered the auction room.
"Ladies, gentlemen and other, welcome to this once in a lifetime event." Beau said.
"Samandriel." Crowley greeted as they sat down, while Samandriel glared at him. "Slumming it, are we?"
"Our prices may be high, but our quality is unmatched. And we stand by our product." Beau said as Dean, Sam, Kevin and Linda began gathering their cash.
"Don't know why you're so keen on that hunk of dirt. So it tells you how to blast back a few demons. I'll just make more. You can't get rid of all of my black-eyed boys, Samantha." Crowley said.
"Yeah, we'll see." Sam said as he turned back to the group. "So how much we got for Plan B?"
"Well, we got our hacked credit cards, about $2,000 and a, uh, Costco membership." Dean said.
"Our first item, the Amulet of Hesperus." Beau said as he showed a golden necklace on display. "Let's start the bidding with, um, three tons of dwarven gold."
Dean, Sam, Kevin, Linda and Bonnie stared incredulously. What kind of auction was that?
"Ah, this lady. I have three. Do I have, uh, four? Ah. Four. Gentleman here. Four going for five. Five?"
"Any ideas for Plan C?" Bonnie asked.
"I was hoping we wouldn't have to come to it." Dean sighed as he got up and walked off. "I'm gonna use the restroom."
Dean followed one of the guards with the carts of artifacts to the storage room before he waited around the corner and waited for the guard to pass by as Dean 'bumped' into him. "Sorry."
Dean approached the storage room door and pulled out the key he had pickpocketed as he opened the door but froze upon seeing two more guards in the vault.
"Hey, this isn't the men's room." Dean said awkwardly before he saw the Demon tablet. "OK."
Dean closed the door and tried to come up with a plan.
"Our next item up for bid, the hammer of Thor. Mjölnir." Beau said, with Mjolnir on display.
"A finger bone from the frost giant Ymir." Mr. Vili offered but Plutus shook his head before Mr. Vili pulled a bloodied bag out. "The bone and five eights of a virgin."
Plutus nodded and Beau smiled. "Sold."
Dean returned to the auction room and sat down. "Plan C tanked."
"Maybe you should try Plan D, dumbass." Crowley mocked.
"Our next lot, the Word of God. Capital G." Beau said as he showed the Demon tablet. "Very old. Very rare."
"Three billion dollars." Crowley said as he got up.
"Whoa." Dean said as he and Sam looked at Crowley in disbelief.
"The Mona Lisa." Samandriel said as he got up and Bonnie widened her eyes. What had she gotten herself into.
"The real Mona Lisa, where she's topless." Crowley said and at this point Bonnie had to wonder whether they were just spitballing whatever came up in their heads to trump each other's bid.
"Vatican City." Samandriel said.
"Alaska." Crowley said.
"Palin and a bridge to nowhere? No thanks." Beau said.
"All right, the moon." Crowley said.
"You're bidding the moon?" Dean asked incredulously.
"Yeah. Claimed it for Hell. You think a man named Buzz gets to go into space without making a deal?" Crowley said.
"Ah. I'm sorry, gentlemen, it seems that our reserve price has not been met. So in order to stimulate the bidding, we're going to add an item to this lot." Beau said as he pointed at Kevin. "Kevin Tran, Prophet of the Lord."
Suddenly, Kevin disappeared from his seat and was on the podium in chains.
"No!" Linda exclaimed.
"Mr. Tran is the only person on Earth who can read this tablet, which makes them a perfect matching set." Beau said.
"So out of your league." Crowley said.
"Hey, you can't just take him and sell him, when he's not an item to sell in your auction the first place!" Bonnie protested.
"Mr. Tran has relinquished his freedom, when he agreed to bid for the Word of God. What good is the Word of God without a prophet to read it?" Beau said. "So do I hear a bid of, um—"
"No, stop! I'll give you whatever you want." Linda begged. "I have a 401k, my house."
Beau smiled, amused. "Good effort, Ms. Tran, but I'm afraid this is a little out of your price range."
Linda closed her eyes before she decided to make one last desperate gamble. "My soul."
"Mom, don't!" Kevin protested.
"I bid my soul." Linda said firmly.
"Are you insane?" Bonnie asked incredulously.
"Are you sure? That's a big move." Dean pointed out.
"Interesting." Beau said, fascinated.
"If it's souls that you're after, I can give you a million souls." Crowley said.
"Hey, flyboy, you gonna get in on this?: Dean asked, turning to Samandriel.
"We guard the souls in Heaven, we don't horse-trade them." Samandriel shook his head.
"So we have a deal?" Crowley asked.
"It's not about the quantity, chief. It's about the sacrifice." Plutus said, turning to Linda. "This little lady's soul is the most valuable thing she has. It's everything. Are you willing to offer everything, Mr. Crowley?"
They turned to Crowley, who looked stunned, much to Dean's amusement.
"Tick-tock." Dean said with a grin on his face.
"Fine. You win." Crowley said before he raised his voice to sound firm. "I bid… my own soul."
Plutus laughed, amused. "Mr. Crowley, you don't have a soul."
Crowley shrugged before Plutus turned to Linda.
"Congrats, sweetheart." Plutus said.
"Thank you. Thank you." Linda said, barely holding back tears.
Crowley fumed before he left the auction room.
Dean, Sam and Bonnie looked at each other in disbelief, while Bonnie was processing. She had agreed to help her friend to retrieve something valuable but in the process they had to sacrifice an innocent woman's soul. What had she gotten herself into?
After the auction room was cleared, Dean, Sam, Bonnie and Linda sat across each other.
"Losing my soul, is it going to hurt?" Linda asked.
"Probably." Dean said.
"Will I die?" Linda asked.
"No. You'll just wish you were dead." Sam said.
"There wasn't another way, was there?" Bonnie wondered.
Dean and Sam looked at each other before turning to Bonnie.
"Without bloodshed, no." Dean said.
"And it's not likely we'd all make it out alive." Sam admitted.
Beau opened the door. "It's time."
"You alright?" Dean asked, turning to Linda.
"Yeah. Can I just have a minute?" Linda asked as Dean, Sam and Bonnie walked off.
Linda was about to leave, when Samandriel approached her. "Excuse me, Miss. Hi, my name is Sam…" He stopped, remembering his outfit. "Alfie. I'm an angel."
"Who works at Wiener Hut?" Linda asked, noticing his outfit.
"No, this is, uh... It doesn't matter. What you did in here was amazing. I want you to know that my friends and I can protect your son." Samandriel promised. "The Winchesters are exceptional men, but they're just men. If Kevin comes with us, then—"
"Oh, no, no. The last time that angels tried to help my son, I watched them die and Kevin went missing for a year. So no offense, but I'm gonna take my chances with them." Linda said and Samandriel nodded as he walked off.
Linda was about to leave, when Beau shut the door. "Now that was very, very stupid."
Linda screamed as Beau pinned her to the wall and grabbed her by her wrist, ripping off the protection charm as he pulled out a lighter, burning off the anti-possession tattoo.
"Mm. Mjölnir, I've missed you." Mr. Vili said, taking the hammer.
"Where's the kid?" Dean asked.
Plutus snapped his fingers as the guards dragged Kevin in.
"What are you going to do with her soul?" Sam asked.
"Whatever I want. I might sell it or maybe I'll just tuck it away with my other precious objects. Let them keep me warm at night." Plutus smiled as he reached with his hand. "Whenever you are ready, my dear."
Linda reached out, about to approach, when Bonnie looked down at Linda's wrist. "Where's the charm I gave you?"
"Wait." Dean said, noticing the burns as he took Linda's hand and rolled up her sleeve, realizing that Bonnie's protective charm was gone and the anti-possession tattoo had been burned off.
Linda's eyes turned crimson red as she spoke with a familiar voice. "Hello, boys."
"Crowley." Sam realized.
Next thing they knew, Crowley in Linda's body threw them away.
"No. You can't! My warding spells!" Plutus protested.
"Your girl Friday showed me a few loopholes." Crowley said as Plutus turned to Beau, realizing he had been betrayed.
Beau then stabbed Plutus in the heart with a wooden stake, killing the god before Crowley picked the stake and threw it at another guard.
"Exorcizamus te—" Bonnie began.
"Not this time!" Crowley said as he waved his hand, flinging Bonnie across the room as she hit the wall.
"Bonnie!" Dean yelled.
Sam tackled Crowley as he picked the tablet, while Crowley got up and ran off, with Dean chasing him.
Beau pulled out a gun and fired as Sam took cover behind a table, while Bonnie recovered, hiding behind it with him and Mr. Vili, who held Mjolnir in his hand.
"You OK?" Sam asked and Bonnie nodded, clutching her head.
Kevin turned to run, when Beau aimed the gun at him. "Don't!"
Kevin stopped and turned to Beau nervously.
"You know what's better than one private island? Two private islands." Beau smirked but he didn't notice Sam sneaking up behind him as he bashed Mjolnir on his head as an explosion of lightning followed, splattering blood on the wall and floor.
Mr. Vili got up and turned to Sam. "OK, give it back. Give it back."
Sam was about to hand Mjolnir back but paused, when he remembered for what price had Mr. Vili bought the hammer. "Where did you get the five eights of a virgin?"
Mr. Vili shrugged before Sam bashed Mjolnir at his head, killing him.
Crowley was running to the exit, when Dean tackled him to the pillar as he dropped the tablet.
Kevin and Bonnie approached, while Bonnie reached with her hand, pinning Crowley to the pillar telekinetically.
"Exorcizamus te, omnis immundus spiritus, omnis satanica potestas, omnis incursio infernalis adversarii, omnis legio, omnis congregatio et secta diabolica. Ergo, draco maledicte. Ecclesiam tuam securi tibi facias libertate servire, te rogamus, audi nos!" Bonnie yelled in Latin.
Linda's mouth opened as the red smoke escaped from her body while disappearing through the vents underground.
Linda was sitting across Kevin, catatonic as he looked broken.
"Has she said anything?" Sam asked as Kevin shook his head.
"Is she going to recover?" Bonnie asked and Dean sighed.
"Demonic possession can be traumatizing. Trust me, I know. But she seems tough, she'll pull together." Dean assured.
"Is there anything you can do?" Sam asked, turning to Bonnie.
"Look, I can do a lot of things but entering a mind and fixing it is not one of them." Bonnie sighed. "I'm sorry."
"At least we made sure that Crowley doesn't have the tablet anymore. And with a bit of time, your mom might recover. That's the best we can hope for." Dean said.
"What if she doesn't?" Kevin asked as Dean sighed.
"Look, one problem at a time. Crowley's in the wind but he'll be back for you and the tablet, so our priority is to make sure you're safe, all of you. We know a friend who can protect you." Sam said.
"Sam's right. We can't protect you both the whole time. You need to lay low. I'll call Garth. He's a friend, he does what we do, in his own way, but he's a great hunter. He'll look out for you." Dean said as he pulled out a number and Kevin nodded.
"And we had a deal." Sam said, turning to Bonnie. "Next stop, Virginia."
Bonnie smiled as she looked at Sam appreciatively, looking forward to reuniting with her friends.
Hell
After being exorcised and recovering his meatsuit, Crowley sat on his throne, fuming. Bonnie Bennett and the Winchester brothers were becoming a bigger pain in the ass than he had thought they were and Crowley began to think about how to get rid of them.
"Sir, we've got no leads on Kevin Tran yet." One of the demons said.
"Well, get on with it and find him and the Winchesters! I want them begging for mercy with my boots on their necks!" Crowley exploded, when two of his demons were thrown across the floor as the door burst open to reveal a young man.
"Well, look what we have here. The King of Hell? I'm not impressed." The young man said as he eyed Crowley.
"Who the bloody hell are you?" Crowley asked.
"Well, someone who was enjoying his fresh freedom. You see, I'm glad she left some of her blood behind, though it took some time to fix the Ascendant. And here I was looking for Bonnie, since her leaving me behind, uh, so rude, but then I find some demons looking for her and chatting about her, well, I have to say, they are so fragile and it was easy to get them to tell me about the entrance here." Kai smirked before he snapped his fingers as the demons around Crowley glowed and screamed before they fell down, dying.
Crowley was about to snap his fingers but was unable to move, when Kai raised his hand and stopped him.
"And I heard Bonnie Bennett has made some new friends. And I'd like to make some too, considering that she left me behind to rot. Though I don't need a geezer like you to talk back at me." Kai said, flinging Crowley across the floor before he sat on the throne. "It's time for a little change in management."
Virginia
"Why don't you call this Elena or someone, if you miss them so much?" Dean asked as they were nearing Mystic Falls.
"I think it's best if they see with their own eyes that I'm back." Bonnie said.
"I think Dad might've mentioned Mystic Falls in his journal. Hold on." Sam said as he opened the glove compartment and pulled out John's journal, skimming through it before he found it as he began reading.
"July 16th, 1992, I arrived at this town outside Richmond, Virginia after hearing about rumors about some killings that were too far from my taste. I left the boys at Bobby's so that way I wouldn't have to worry about them. I have yet to figure out the entity doing the killings, but it appears to be some sort of vengeful spirits. I did some digging and the history of the town seems like it's trying to cover something up. The massacre that took place in 1864, caused the town to lose quite a bit of the town's most prominent citizens. The Salvatore family was all but destroyed, and upon further digging I found that the Gilberts and the Salvatores are tied into this history especially. I stayed at the boardinghouse, Zach Salvatore is the one running it. I asked him about the history, but he was very evasive. I tried to talk to the sheriff, but apparently the sheriff was busy because a young mother went missing. Abby Bennett, mother and wife, just disappeared."
"That's my Mom." Bonnie said, causing for Sam to turn to her and Dean raise his eyebrows as they noticed the pained look in her eyes.
"Do you know what happened to her?" Dean asked.
"Yeah. It's… complicated and there was some mess with the Originals going on and she was turned into a vampire by Damon." Bonnie said and they looked at her incredulously as Dean stopped.
"What?" Sam demanded.
"Like I said, it's complicated and I wasn't happy about it back then, but it had to be done to stop a ritual from one of the evil witches. It's a long story, but we'd come to terms with it long ago." Bonnie said as Dean and Sam looked at her in sympathy.
"If this Damon guy is as bad as you've told us he is, I'm surprised you trust him, despite what he's done to you all." Dean said.
"He has his… moments. Depends on the circumstances." Bonnie said as Dean and Sam looked at each other, deciding to see what to do with Damon themselves.
"Anything else mentioned in the journal?" Dean asked as Sam took a look.
"Upon investigation I found that it had something to do with the young Gilbert girl, Elena." Sam read as they looked at each other and Bonnie, remembering when she had mentioned her best friend looking like Stefan's and Damon's sire. "The whole town knows something. Looking into the records, I've noticed patterns not just about the supernatural entity, but also about the town's positions of authorities. It seems as though the Lockwoods reign over the town, and the Fells are the doctors alongside the Gilberts. The sheriff position has been held by a Forbes for almost as long as the town has been around. I looked into the registries some more, and there were other occurrences that bothered me. The Salvatore boardinghouse alone appears to have had its fair share of murders. Back in 1912, the man was killed just outside of it, and in 1930, there was a suicide. In 1953 there was an 'accident' where it seemed that Zach's great grandfather fell down the stairs, and again in 1961, where his wife finally died of a heart attack. Then in 1990, two years ago, there was another suicide, where Zach's brother, Albert Salvatore hung himself off of the balcony. His daughter Samantha moved away. When I asked Zach why he stays in a house like this, he told me that it's family tradition."
"I'm sure Damon's behind it." Bonnie said.
"Give me one good reason not to kill him, since the list of 'to kill' keeps getting longer." Dean drawled.
"I asked about anything ghost related, but he just brushed me off, and said that there was no problem. However, it was last night that the most startling thing happened. I was awake in my room, when I heard a ruckus going on, and crept over to one of the locked rooms, and looked inside. I saw two brothers that were fighting, arguing. I recognized their faces, from old pictures from way back in 1864, they were the two Salvatore brothers, from way back then. Then, I blinked and they were gone. The house appears to be haunted. I checked back into the story and read about the Salvatore brothers, Stefan and Damon. They fell in love with the same woman, and they both were shot down the night of the massacre. I asked Zach if he had anything from the original house in this one and he said that yes there are, but they're mostly found up in the two locked rooms. He told me not to go into those rooms under any circumstances. I asked why, but that night I had another sighting of the Salvatore brothers going at it again. They were still fighting, and it was that night that Zach finally kicked me out. He told me or rather advised me to never return there again." Sam finished.
"Dad just walked away? Doesn't sound like him." Dean frowned.
"I think I might have an idea why he did." Bonnie said.
"Let me guess, the Jedi mind tricks these vampires do." Dean drawled.
"Compulsion." Bonnie nodded. "If it was Stefan, I'm sure he did it to protect your father."
But then, much to their shock, ahead of them they saw a man in dirtied trench coat walking down the road and as Dean passed him by and they saw the man's face, they widened their eyes.
"Dean, stop!" Bonnie ordered and Dean hit the brakes before he looked into the rearview mirror and then they turned around.
"We all saw that, right?" Dean asked as Sam and Bonnie nodded.
"You said that Cass stayed behind back in the Purgatory." Sam said.
"And there's no way he could've gotten out, if he's not a human." Dean said.
"Then what was it? A ghost?" Bonnie asked as they began to consider the options, when they heard 'crash' ahead of them.
"What's going on?" Sam asked.
Stefan Salvatore was limping to the borders of Mystic Falls, when he grunted as he began bleeding from the gut and picked a rebar and approached the van in front of him that had been flipped over as Stefan tried to pry it open.
"Hey! Everyone alright?"
Stefan turned around to see two men around 30 years old run towards him but what shocked him was who was with them as his eyes widened. "Bonnie?"
"Stefan?" Bonnie demanded. Of course he had to be involved in it.
"But Damon said—" Stefan began.
"I'll explain later, just tell me what happened!" Bonnie said.
"Damon and Alaric." Stefan pointed to the crash site. "We have to help them."
"OK, let's go." Dean said as they approached the van, when they saw Stefan coughing blood.
"You OK?" Sam asked.
"Don't worry about me." Stefan said, when he picked a rebar.
"Give me that." Dean said, while he gestured at Alaric. "Sam, go help him."
Sam nodded as he approached Alaric.
"There." Stefan pointed to the door as Dean jammed in the rebar and pried the door open to reveal two men in shackles.
"Everyone alright?" Dean asked.
"Get us out of here." Damon groaned as Dean grabbed Enzo, while Stefan grabbed Damon as they tried to drag them out.
Sam approached a dark-haired woman who was resuscitating a tall muscular man who was coughing out blood.
"You OK?" Sam asked, but his eyes widened, when he saw the man. "Alaric?"
"You know each other?" The woman asked as Sam knelt down, when Alaric took a closer look, recognizing Sam.
"Sam Winchester." Alaric chuckled, when Sam knelt down, holding Alaric's wound. "I'll be damned."
"Come on, you're not dying here, man." Sam muttered.
"Hold his wound, I'm gonna try to get his heart pumping." The woman said as she began chest compressions on Alaric, when Alaric began passing out.
"Come on, Ric." Sam muttered as the woman continued with chest compressions.
"Stay with us. Come on." The woman begged before Alaric coughed and breathed heavily, holding his chest.
"Something's wrong." Alaric said.
"Don't move." The woman said.
"No, something's wrong. I'm not supposed to be alive." Alaric said, looking around in confusion.
"There's no reason you shouldn't be. I've sealed the wound." The woman said.
Sam laughed. "Well, why am I not surprised you're in over your head?"
Alaric laughed back.
Sam then turned to the woman as he offered his hand. "Sam Winchester."
"Jo Laughlin." Jo introduced herself as they shook hands.
Anyone else finds Sam's reverse exorcism both stupid and hilarious? It's surprising it even worked but what makes the whole thing dumb is that after 8x02 they never tried it again, when a demon tried to smoke out of their meatsuit.
A major change was Dean not going all killer on Crowley in Linda's body due to his Purgatory PTSD, so no Kevin running off but Linda would still be traumatized and catatonic but Kevin wouldn't be so angry that he would run off and bail on Dean and Sam, unlike in the show, so Dean and Sam are sending them to Garth earlier than in the show.
And now they are in Mystic Falls. This should be fun.
Though Crowley and the gang are in for it, since Kai is out and taking over Hell like Lucifer did in Season 11 of SPN. Not so much fun. Considering that Bonnie had left some of her blood behind with the Ascendant, Kai would still find a way to escape and some demons were shown to be well-versed with magic, like Crowley, Alistair or Belphegor, so it's not that much of a stretch that Kai would siphon off them.
So, what do you guys think?
