Chapter Eight: The Rebirth of Ties Between Terrarium and Horedora

In the world of Horedora the Grand Royal Council was doing another round of work making sure that the kingdom's rulers were maintaining a decent standard of living for their subjects. In the years since Soren Diabolus had taken the throne of the kingdom of Salode the standard of living in Salode was not up to the standard of the royal council by far. The council had been working hard to send people to enforce the standards but thanks to his wife's gift it was nearly impossible to send an army there.

There were seven continents on Horedora each continent was required to have one representative on the council, normally it was either the heir to a throne of one the kingdoms that layed on their continent with a distant family member on the throne that they barely had any connection to them, a noble that had similar circumstances or a commoner that had knowledge about the laws. Then again all of the members of the royal conseil had to have knowledge of laws in order to even become an apprentice of the council.

When one became a member of the council one of their responsibilities aside from ensuring that all the kingdoms on their continent maintained the standard of living set by the council was that they were to choose their successor. Each one had to have five successors by the time that six months had passed from their inauguration into the position. All of them had to be people that were outside of their personal lives has to maintain professionalism. Once a member retired, they would choose one of their apprentices to take their place and it would be confirmed by the other members of the conseil.

But that wasn't the upmost concern of the newest member of the conseil. Her name was Shari Henderson, and she was from the Kingdom of Zathage a kingdom that neighbored Salode and was from one of the noble houses with in the walls of Zathage and they were dealing with problems of their own thanks to their own Princess Francesca. So many in fact that there were rumors that her parents were considering having her younger brother take her place has heir to the throne. Shari was a blond-haired woman with blue eyes. She wore a long blue off shoulder dress with a purple sash around her waist. Her hair was down with a purple flower with blue beads traveling across her head from it.

She was currently seated in her office in the conseil building that housed the staff of the Representative of the continent of Emptheria. It was a rather large office has you would expect for someone in such an important position, the walls were made of a stone and the floor of a dark wood. It was dimly lit by torches on the walls and a chandler the hung twelve feet from the floor.

The office was filled with a desk, chair, table, more chairs, and many books on selves. Most of them were reports on the events surrounding the kingdoms under her vision and the rest were books about Horedora's history and international laws. But there were a few books that were about the laws that kept the peace between Horedora and Terrarium.

Despite King Soren Diabolus's claims that the twins were dead she knew better than to trust him and his wife. They had lied to the council many times before, what would stop them from doing that again? The other members of the council didn't believe them either and she knew that they didn't believe it either. They also knew that they knew she didn't believe them either.

It wasn't something that they needed to say with their words. It was just an opinion formed from experience that was shared amongst the council though most to a lesser extent then herself. That was why she and the rest of the council was planning a meeting to discuss what to do about them.

Right now, she was reading one of her books on the laws between Horedora and Terrarium. She wanted to make sure she was ready has the time that the two worlds would reconnect, and it was fast approaching so it made since that it she got ready for the day that they truly reconnected.

She had just finished the fifteenth chapter when a knock on the door disrupted her before she interrupted her. Setting the book down she called out to the person at the door. "Who's there? State your purpose."

The voice responds, "Mistress Shari, it is I. I come bearing word from the Terrarian kingdom of Atlantide." The voice informed her with a calm tone. Shari nodded and looked at the door in though has to why this kingdom would contact her.

"You may enter then, Junaita Weaver." She called back to the voice. She knew that her head secretary wouldn't bother her unless needed. She trusted her enough to know and handle her task when needed. She was a woman with brown hair with dull blue eyes. She wore a gray dress with gold sash and matching cuffs on her arm with brown boots

The sanctuary entered the room while keeping her steps quiet. She was holding a envelop in her hands. "Mistress Shari, I received word from the Terrarian kingdom of Atlantide. It was from a lawyer under the name of Kristin Thompson. She has given us evidence that the Princes and Princess of Salode lives."

She showed a gift test that showed that the signature of the gifts was the same has the princes. And a picture of Amira with them in the hospital. Furthermore, they also showed documents with their signature on them.

Shari looked at the evidence and nodded. "I see, I order the trusted member of my staff to take all necessary measures to ensure that Soren Diabolus and his wife and loyalist, along with Princess Francesca and her loyalist do not learn of this. None of this is to leave these walls without reason. Make sure that only the trusted members of my staff are aware of this. Understood Junaita?"

"Yes ma'am, but that is not the only reason I come here at this moment. The reason I received word of this is because their aunt and uncle's attorney Mrs. Kristen Thompson sent a request of official court records. It appears that they wish to take precautionary measures to ensure that if King Soren Diabolus or Princess Francesca Sullivan does find them they won't be able to do as much damage. I have the documents with me now." Junaita nodded with a frown.

"I see, understandable considering their circumstances. Very well, I'll begin handling that immediately. Make sure that no one aside from you and I handle this situation understand? Also make sure that only the two of us know about this request." Shari ordered with a nod.

"Yes ma'am, understood. I'll take my leave for now to ensure the orders are carried out." Junaita nodded in understand. She gave a polite bow before swiftly taking her leave. Shari looked at the packet and letter that sat before her.

Placing a bookmark in the book that she had been reading before Juanita had entered, she closed it and set it to the side of the desk so that she could fill out the forms that she needed to sign and fill out. She then walked up to the door and flipped a sign that hung on the door that was meant to signal to the staff if she was allowing people to enter the office or if she needed to work uninterrupted. She then locked the door from the inside and made her way back to her desk.

She decided that she would read the letter first. The letter was sealed in a plane envelope with a wax seal. She took out her letter opener and began to read the contents. It didn't tell her anything that she didn't already know. But it was good to know that the attorney was on the same page has them. She then began looking over the forms.

Setting the form down she looked at the next forms which were basically Ritchie, Brandon and their aunt and uncle giving the attorney and all other necessary parties permission to see the file. Seeing that the forms were properly signed by the right people, she quickly began to fill out the form that would grant them permission to have the file. Opening the curtain of the window behind her desk at she looked out on the country lands that surrounded her.

"Mark my words Soren Diabolus, one day you will lose your hold on your kingdom for what you have done to your subjects, for I, Shari Henderson, representative of Emptheria to the Royal Grand Council, will ensure that you will see justice for what you have done to them." Shari vowed while staring into the wilderness that surrounded the building.

Meanwhile, over in Atlantide, it had been a few months since they recused Amira and Leah. Amira had been released from the hospital and had been brought to Divinus island to live with her aunt, uncle and the rest of her family. Emelia also joined the guild has an honorary member, putting her gifts to use in the infirmary.

With the whole family living together the small apartment that they had in the guildhall wasn't enough to house all of them. So, they need to remodel quite a bit, but they made due. With the family that Divinus Magia had become Marcelina thought that it would be a wonderful place for Amira to grow up.

Right now, most of the guild was either training, working in the garden or having fun. No one wanted to take a mission right now after the big one that had just happened. So, they were taking the time to spend time with one another. Afterall it was important for guildmates to maintain a working relationship with one another.

Meanwhile at Oceanus King Steve had just finished a meeting with the royal council of Atlantide. They were the ones responsible for advising the king on certain matters and assisting him in his duties to the kingdom. They consisted of eight elected officials every eight years. However, the problem with this batch he was that didn't trust them has much has the others before them.

There were a number of reasons for this but the most important one was that they somehow seemed familiar to him, his fiancée, and her children. Which was the only reason that he still didn't trust him. If it was just him, it could have been easily written off has nothing. But with his fiancée and thinking her children feeling the same way, that meant that there was something they were missing about the royal conseil members.

Speaking of that, he had similar feelings about the new grand guild master. His name was Nathan Arscott, a man with blond hair and blue eyes. Donny and more recently Leah had both complained that they both found that they thought they had seen him somewhere before.

While he wanted to investigate the situation, he couldn't open an investigation into them without proper evidence that they were either planning an assassination of a member of the royal family or other government officials or they were the suspect of a crime.

Speaking of the recently found Princess of Minecraftia, there was something that he and the young girl had discussed when were talking area when she had arrived at the palace. It was about the Divinus Magia guild. You see each Kingdom had two or more royal guilds. In order for a regular guild to become a royal guild they needed to have support from the public and the endorsement of a public official. And it just so happens that after Leah saw their performance during the time, they were rescuing her from Dark Storm that she felt that they deserved to be a member of Atlantide's Royal Guild Council. With that in mind, she had decided to endorse them.

Now while there weren't any rules that said that the endorsement had to be from a high ranking official in the country, it was rear for that to happen with potential royal guilds. This was mainly due to the laws that stated that a public guild could only take quest that stayed inside the country. So, the fact that the until a month ago missing princess of Minecraftia was endorsing an Atlantideic guild was bound to make a news headlines across the kingdom.

What mattered about this decision was if the royal family voted to make them a royal guild or not. Despite how well they've operated there was still a fair amount of people that opposed the formation of the guild or them gaining the powers of a royal guild.

However, the fact remain that they are still widely supported for their policy of reforming criminals and that their support rating had gone up in recent weeks with the take down of one of Dark Storm's major bases of operations.

With that being said, there were two more handles that they had to pass before the king could decide if they would join the royal guild council. While the Royal Council had decided to vote yes on the matter, they still had to hear the decision of the civilian parliament and the royal guild council themselves.

The civilian parliament was a group of middle and lower class civilians that helped run things like the royal council did. Only their powers had to act has a check on the rich members of the royal conseil. Before the royal council could bring a bill to the king, they had to send though the parliament to ensure that it would not have any conflict with the kingdom's constitution and make sure that it would benefit the middle and lower class, not just the rich and higher class.

He now sat on his throne to wait for the prime minister, who led the civilian parliament and was their spokes person to the king. Carly was next to him while the Nanny was watching the children so they could take care of this. After they were done speaking to the prime minister, they would be spending time with the children for an hour and then would meet with the royal family members who were over 12 to vote on if Divinus Magia would be offered the chance to become a royal guild.

Taking a moment to think about the reports about Divinus Magia that the Royal Guilds submitted crime had gone down since the day that they had formed. That along with how well the guild worked together gave them a considerable chance of winning the votes. However, their collections of criminal records dampened that slightly. However, their performance the historic endorsement of Princess Leah, balanced that out. Not to mention the public's opinion on them was rather high. Overall, he was rather hopeful that they'd be made a part of the royal guilds of Atlantide.
