Chapter 12: defend the Baratie

"Big bro!" Johnny says rushing to zoro. "What is it Johnny?" Zoro asks. Annoyed he was woken up from his nap. "It's mihawk! He's outside!" Johnny finishes. This gets his attention.

"He's here? Now?" Zoro asks smiling. 'This is my chance.' Zoro thinks to himself. "Let's see how strong he really is." Zoro says as he walks outside of the Baratie.

Luffy and the rest of the crew follow zoro to see what will happen. "Don't die on me zoro." Luffy says simply.

"Hawk eye mihawk." Zoro says as he tied his bandana around his forehead. "And what do you want?" Mihawk replies somewhat coldly.

"My goal is to become the worlds strongest swordsman, and to do that I must defeat you." Zoro says drawing this three swords.

"Is that so? And why do you seek this?" Mihawk asks curiously. "I made a promise to a dear friend that I would become the worlds best swordsman." He replies.

"Very well." Mihawk says, unsheathing a tiny dagger from around his neck. "Is that supposed to be a joke?" Zoro asks infuriated. "My apologies, I don't have anything smaller." Mihawk confesses.

"I'll make you recognize me!" Zoro yells out. "Three sword style: oni giri!" He calls out slashing his three swords at mihawk who stops them all with the tiny knife.

"Damnit!" Zoro says. "Let's see you stop this! Three sword style: three thousand worlds!" He calls out trying once more to attack the worlds greatest swordsman, however something happens that zoro didn't expect. Mihawk cut clean through zoro's two unnamed blades.

Zoro falls to the ground panting and injured. He drops the two broken Katanas. "I've….lost…" zoro says as he stands up facing mihawk who had drawn his famous sword.

"Tell me boy, why do you not turn away from me?" He asks, awaiting an answer. "Wounds on the back are a swordsman greatest shame." Zoro answers truthfully. Mihawk grins. "Excellent!" He says as he slashing zoro's torso, who drops to the ground.

"Grow strong roanoa. This is the weakest sea. Go out to the world and learn what it truly means to be a swordsman and I will wait for you at the top." Mihawk declares. "You." He then says to Luffy. "What is your ambition?"

Luffy gives his large d grin. "To become the king of the pirates!" He says cheerfully. "I see. That's an even tougher goal then his." He says nodding to zoro.

"Luffy, do you hear me?" Zoro asks. Luffy just nods his head. "I will never lose again, until I become the greatest swordsman. Is that ok, king of the pirates?" He asks, tears flowing. "It's perfect zoro." Luffy says smiling at his friend and first mate.

Moments later the krieg pirates arrive. "It's mihawk!" Some scream in terror. "Have you came to finish the job?" Krieg asks mihawk who shakes his head.

"No, my boredom has been satiated," he says as he begins to leave. Don krieg fired at mihawk deflects the shot and then slashed up kriegs remaining ship before leaving.

"Fine, we'll just take this boat. Everyone leave, this is claimed by the krieg pirates!" He declares. "Patty, open the fins." Sanji instructs to the cook.

"Good, I don't want to get my new ship destroyed." Krieg says confidently. "Zoro, rest up." Luffy orders as he approaches krieg. "Im gonna kick your ass." Luffy declares. "Bring it on boy!" Krieg says laughing.

"I've got the walking trash can." Sanji says nodding at pearl.

Sanji vs pearl:

Pearl rushed at sanji trying to ram him, however sanji jumps out of the way. Sanji tries to kick pearl but it gets blocked by one of pearls pearl shields.

"You'll never manage to harm me!" Pearl boasts. "I've never been injured in battle, even once!" He declares. "Pearl present!" Pearl yells knocking sanji back by slamming the shield into him.

"Damnit, you're annoying." Sanji says as he runs towards pearl, avoiding another blow and managing to kick pearls nose, causing it to bleed.

"Wha-what's this!?" Pearl says, freaking out, as he touches his face. "B-b-blood!?" He continues as he moves around. "Fire pearl!" He yells lighting himself on fire.

Pearl tries to smack sanji with his pearl shield again, however sanji blocks the fiery hit with his leg. "How come you aren't afraid of my fire?" He asks surprised.

"I'm a chef, I can't be scared of a little fire." He says as he kicks pearl again knocking him out.

"Gin, kill the chef." Don krieg orders. "I refuse don. This man has been good to us."

"So you're disobeying me? Fine, I'll kill you after this kid." He says, getting ready to fight Luffy.

Luffy vs don krieg:

Luffy stares krieg down, thinking back and getting some memories of how it went down the first time, how gin was poisoned, and set off to die.

'Not this time gin.' Luffy thinks to himself. "I'm in a hurry, so let's get this over with." Luffy says as he crouches down. "Gear second!" He calls out powering up.

"Gum gum jet rifle!" Luffy yells out slamming his fists into krieg. "Jet Gatling!" Again, raining a flurry of blows against the man.

"Time to finish it, gum gum….. jet pistol!" He says slamming his fist into krieg, ending the fight.

Luffy ends second gear and stares at the rest of the krieg pirates. "If anyone else wants to fight, fight me." He says walking away from krieg.

"Oh gin." Luffy says turning towards gin. "You should take over for him." Luffy says pointing at krieg. "Train up your crew, and then join my fleet. Do you have a den-den mushi?" Luffy asks. Gin nods his head. "Good, give me the number and once I get to logue town I'll buy one and call you. We'll see each other again, as Allies." Luffy says as he walks inside the Baratie.

"Sanji, you won't be able to payback the old man by staying here. Come sail with me." Luffy stated simply. Sanji let's out a sigh. "I can't…." He begins but zeff interrupts him.

"Listen up shitty eggplant. You need to travel the world. I've taught you all I can, go see the world and grow." Sanji looks at the older chef with tears in his eyes. "I'll never be able to thank you for everything zeff. I promise, I will find the all blue!" Sanji declares.

Decided to cut this chapters end short as it was getting long.

Luffy: captain

Zoro: first mate

Usopp: sniper

Nami: navigator? Not official yet.

Sanji: cook

Yamato: trainer

Grand fleet: gin pirates (need a cool name for his crew)
