Personality/History: Neon Katt- Cat Faunus, Atlas Huntress in training, Party lover, Music enthusiast, friend, etc. These describe her to a T, making you wonder if there's more to this feline.
Neon was born in Mantle to a small family. Her home life was typical with her mom, dad, and older sister. Her life outside her was pretty bad when you're a Faunus cause the kingdom of Atlas has a reputation regarding the treatment of Faunus. So Neon and her family were an outcast among most humans. The first couple of years were rough, and Neon struggled to fit in.
The only coping mechanism she had was watching TV and internet videos. Gaming and prank channels gave her something to smile about, and the jokes always made her laugh. TV shows, Short films, and animations leave her at the edge of her seat, waiting for what happens next. Neon could honestly watch these videos for hours on end until her family makes her stop. She always enjoyed how people can create entire worlds with simple words, sounds, or sketches.
But one genre she watched more than any other is music videos, Minstrilian pop music videos, to be exact.
It's no secret that Neon was an avid music lover. But couldn't explain why, but something about these videos resonated within her soul. Almost like a window to the kind of person she wished she could be. It made her wish she lived in a world like these videos.
When she got older, she started dressing and acting like people in music videos in school, in public, and at home with mixed reactions.
Some made fun of her more, and the other kids befriended her through their common interests.
But as it seemed Neon's social life was finally going somewhere, her family suffered a blow when her father lost his job at the SDC due to 'Budget cuts.' He, her mom, and her sister had to take odd jobs to get by. This action made Neon start thinking about her future.
Inspired by what happened to her and her family, she wanted to make the world a place where Faunus, like her, doesn't have to be treated like garbage. She at first tries to achieve that with music, but it doesn't go anywhere. Then she witnessed Robyn Hill and her Happy Huntress in action. She noticed how huntsmen like them received more attention, and their words carried more weight to them than most authority figures in Atlas. Realizing that could be her ticket, Neon sighed up for combat school, went to the Atlas Invitation, and met her partner Flint Coal. Now the team set out with a goal to right the wrongs of Atlas and maybe become a band in the process.
Semblance: "Rainbow Rush" Neon can move at high speeds in her skates, leaving a rainbow trail behind her.
Hobbies: Music, Parties, and just about anything on MyTube. (The Remnant equivalent on Youtube)

Ok, I did use her base personality as a template for Neon.
But if I'm being frank, the part about her finding joy and happiness through Youtube videos. I took a page from myself.
I too found happiness when watching media and Youtube. Whenever I was down, Youtube cheered me up. My family would also do the same and tell me to do something else.
Watching media and content creators creating entire worlds with simple words, sounds, or sketches. Kind of what got me into writing my own stories.
But anyways, that is enough about me. We are nearing the end of the canon Vytal festival students. Theirs only a few more, then I go into OCs I made.
Like the other two members of FNKI cause Kobalt and Ivory were more placeholders. Unlike the others, we got jack squat from them. So I made my own, stay tuned for that.
