Ch 13
It's been a long time, huh? Sorry for the wait my friends, but I had some irl problems
This chapter is most likely my best so far, so a review would be most appreciated, I really do work hard on these chapters (even if my English is a Little lacking) but love and time goes into every chapter.
"To everyone who has advanced to the final round of the third test of the chunin exams, congratulations." Hayate said to the victorious genin standing in front of him, "sensei, I have a question…" Sakura said as Kakashi turned to her, "about lee, I assume?" Kakashi asked as Sakura nodded,
"well, I'm sorry, but I don't know much. But you can go visit him later". Sakura nodded, she wouldn't help but feel sad and worried , "I'll be gone for a bit" Kakashi disappeared in a Whirlwind of leaves .
Kabuto…
"Kabuto, I want you to bring Sasuke-kun to m-" kabuto gave him a puzzled look, "isn't that a bit of a impatient move? I mean aren't you sure Sasuke will come to you, seeking power?" Kabuto interjected as Orochimaru frowned,
"I'm not saying I'm not sure, but the problem is the Girl. The boy has feelings for her, and those feelings will mess with my plans" Orochimaru explained as Kabuto nodded, deep down he didn't want Sasuke coming to Orochimaru. if Sasuke did it would compromise his power.
Orochimaru saw the troubled look in Kabuto's eyes as he smirked, "if you don't want Sasuke-kun replacing you, now is your chance killing him…" Orochimaru said as Kabuto's eyes widened, Orochimaru was reading Kabuto like a book, "…I'm just kidding, now running along" Orochimaru said as Kabuto walked away, he had put an irresistible offer in front of Kabuto. Now he had to wait and see…
Back in the tower…
"You will have a months time to prepare for the last part of the chunin exams" hayate said as the genin nodded, 'Finally, I can go eat, and go see Sasuke-kun!' Naruko thought as she sighed in relief. Hiruzen walked forward as he smoked his pape,
"I'd like to congratulate you all for the mostly great show of talent, but you aren't out of the woods yet. The daimyos will come to see the last part of the chunin exams, so I want all of you to be on your best performance" hiruzen said as he saw most of the genin light up with determination excluding garaa, dosu, and Neji.
In the infirmary…
Kabuto had Dealt with the anbu, most of them didn't take him seriously, because he was a *genin, but now they lay on the Ground at his feet, Kabuto scoffed, so called elite forces of konoha. He walked over to Sasuke as his hand lit up with chakra, "poor boy, I didn't want to kill you, but you just got in the way of my plans".
kabuto was about to kill Sasuke, when he caught a kunai, "well done, Kakashi-san. Stopping me from your blind spot" Kakashi glared a hole through the back of Kabuto's head, "if you try again, I'll rip your heart out, and feed it to you" Kakashi said as kabuto chuckled,
"you're no ordinary genin, are you? You sensed my attack, and caught it without trouble" Kakashi enquired as Kabuto smirked, "you're right about me not being a genin" Kabuto said as Kakashi approached, "what do you want with Sasuke? Depending on your answer, I'll haul you off to TNI, or I'll kill you where you stand" Kakashi tightened, his voice filled with venom.
Kabuto scoffed, "I wonder if that's possible for the likes of you" kabuto mocked as he turned towards Kakashi. Kakashi looked into the arrogant eyes of kabuto as the glass wearing boy smirked, "are you looking to take me on?" Kakashi asked as he fixated his glaze on Kabuto.
"I have one last question for you, yakushi Kabuto, if that even is your name. Now tell me, are you associated with that paedo orochimaru?" Kabuto adjusted his glasses, "if you arrest me here now, you might never be able to prove me working for orochimaru-Sam-" Kabuto was cut off as Kakashi glared at him, "shut up and answer my questions, Baka" Kakashi interjected as Kabuto scoffed.
"what if I say no?" Kakashi's glared increased in heat, he was getting annoyed. "I'm the one asking questions around here, idiot. Now give me answers or your the new play toy of idiki" Kakashi said, he was losing his patience, and a part of him wanted to kill Kabuto on the spot,
"you'll find out soon enough, if you let me go, so can you make an exception just this once?" Kabuto half heartedly asked as Kakashi gave him a deadpan stare, "you, idiotic wilful brat. Don't mess around with former anbu"
he held a kunai to Kabuto's throat, Kabuto chuckled, "Don't be so arrogant. The circumstances are in my favour" Kabuto said as he pulled out a kunai, and held it to Sasuke's neck, Kabuto was bluffing and lying through his teeth, he was sweating a Bucket Worth of sweat. He had only one way to get out of here.
Kabuto tried stabbing Sasuke, but Kakashi back handed him into the wall. A anbu got up and tried attacking Kakashi, but was slammed into the ground by Kakashi's shadow clone. Another anbu got up and threw a kunai through the window, breaking it and jumped out of it.
Kakashi ran over to the window as he saw the anbu falling, the anbu removed his mask revealing Kabuto. As Kabuto landed, he vanished into a crowd of people, " impressive" Kakashi said as walked over to the body of *kabuto* "as I suspected. The Shikon no Jutsu (dead soul), if someone this good is working for that snake, I can't slouch off on my training" Kakashi said as he checked all the anbu, all of them were dead. Kabuto had killed them with precise attacks, most of them didn't see it coming.
Back at the tower…
"Before you all take your leave, you'll need to take a piece of paper from the box Anko-san is holding" hiruzen said as the genin lined up, and started taking one piece of paper each. After everyone had their papers with numbers on them, ibiki step forward, "from left to right, tell me the number on your piece of paper" ibiki said,
"I'm number 8" Dosu said as he held up his piece, "I got 1" Naruko said as she held up her one. After all the genin gave their number, hiruzen again stepped forward, "now, about how the final round tournament will work. Ibiki, bring forth the pairings" hiruzen said as Ibiki nodded. Ibiki pulled out a clipboard with the names of the genin, naruko and Sakura both paled as the saw who Sasuke was up against.
"I have a question" Shikamaru said as hiruzen nodded, "go ahead" hiruzen said, "does that mean, there will only be one winner of the tournament? That only one of us will be able to become chunin?" Shikamaru enquired as hiruzen shook his head,
"No, on the contrary. The judges of the final, I, the kazekage, the daimyos, will decide on your promotion. But even if you were to win the tournament, there's a chance that you will not become chunin, understood, Shikamaru?" hiruzen finished his explanation as he asked Shikamaru. Shikamaru nodded as he groaned, 'all of this is troublesome!' Shikamaru thought, 'I'll need to find Kakashi-sensei, and tell him I need his help training" Naruko thought.
Later…
"Um, where's the room that Sasuke-kun's in?" Naruko asked the lady at the front desk, "I'm sorry, uchiha-san is not allowed visitors" the receptionist said as Naruko groaned, she had come all this way for nothing. "Yo" Kakashi waved as Naruko ran over to him, "Kakashi-sensei, I ne-" Naruko was cut off as Kakashi put a finger on her lips,
"sh, I have answers for both of your questions. Number 1: No, you can't see Sasuke, he's still out cold. Number 2: No, I can't train you, but I searched for someone to watch your training" Kakashi nonchalantly said as Naruko groaned,
"But, I want you to train me! And that's bull crap I can't see Sasuke-kun" Naruko exclaimed as Kakashi sighed, he wasn't being paid enough for this, well he didn't get paid if he didn't do missions, "I have things to take care of, And I'm not the one who ordered Sasuke get no visitors, Hokage-sama issued that order, so my hands are tied" Kakashi said as he patted the blonde on the head.
"Well, can you tell me who's gonna watch me?" Naruko asked as Kakashi pointed behind her. As she turned around, her face went from hopefully to are you kidding me, "Not that closet pervert!" Naruko yelled as Kakashi held back a laugh.
Ebisu's eye twitched at the accusation, " such insolence!" Ebisu said. Naruko groaned, her day was just getting worse. "Ebisu, closet pervert?" Kakashi asked as he scratched his head, "But you see! A long time ago, with my harem jutsu, this guy!" ebisu's face drained of all colour as his mind flashed back.
"Wait, why would you make a jutsu like that?" Kakashi asked as Naruko rubbed the back of her head, "well, it's useful against men. Well, it worked against him, and hokage-jiji". Kakashi facepalmed at the Absurdity, "your the only one dumb enough to make something like that. Anyways, ebisu is important, because you still need a grasp on the fundamentals" Kakashi said as he turned and started walking away. "Wait! I don't want this guy!" Naruko yelled as Kakashi lazily waved, "have fun!" Kakashi said as he disappeared.
"Now then, let's go", Naruko put her foot down, "I'm still not convinced. Fundamentals might be important, but I won't get strong by being taught by someone weaker than me!" Ebisu sighed in dismay as Naruko stubbornly held her ground,
"so in other words, you're saying that I'm weak?" Ebisu asked as Naruko's eye twitched, "who else is here?!" Naruko yelled as Ebisu crouched down, "I was certainly surprised having that indecent jutsu used on me that time. But it's premature of you to judge my ability on just that" Naruko deadpan stared at Ebisu,
"even though you were knocked out cold, pervert" Ebisu Slightly winced at the jab at his Pride, "fine. Then, why don't we put that to a test?" Naruko gave him a questioning look as Ebisu stood up, "Naruko, run. If you can outrun me, I'll back down quietly" Ebisu said, "Back down?" Naruko asked as she gave Ebisu a questioning look, "yes of course, I'll speak to Kakashi-san about him training you"
Naruko jumped in surprise, "what!? Really!?" Ebisu smirked, it had worked, "this elite instructor doesn't go back on his word. However. This is only if you outrun me" Naruko was jumping in happiness, "then that makes it easy!" Naruko yelled as she began running.
Even Later…
Naruko was running through the village as people gave her odd looks, and glares, But she didn't pay any action to the looks, and glares. She was too busy running, "ha, that perv isn't catching me!" She said as she continued running. Naruko finally stopped on a roof, to catch her breath. She looked around, and there was no sign of Ebisu.
Naruko let out a sigh of relief, "I knew I was an exceptional ninja!" Naruko exclaimed bashfully, "who's exceptional?" Naruko looked up to see Ebisu standing on a water tower, "surely you're not thinking you can outrun me that easily?" Ebisu mockingly asked as Naruko glared at him, "w-what're you saying?! The chase has just begun!" Naruko threw down a smoke bomb as she disappeared
Somewhere…
"He's good, I guess" Naruko said as she stood on another roof. She turned around, looking directly at an Icha Icha advert on a billboard, she grinned as she got a idea. "Don't even think of using that 'jutsu'!" Naruko again looked up to see Ebisu on the billboard.
Naruko grunted as she pulled up one hand sign, "Kage banshin no jutsu! (Shadow clone)" A bunch of Naruko clones appeared as Ebisu prepared for the worst, "catch us if you can!" The Naruko clones yelled in unison as they darted off into the village.
Ebisu sighed in relief, he wouldn't be shamed by that jutsu. "Not bad, but you aren't the only one with shadow clones" Ebisu made a hand full of clones, and they followed the wave of blonde. The Ebisu clones started dispatching the Naruko clones as they looked for the real blonde
After dealing with the clones…
Naruko was panting on a bridge, "shouldn't have used that many" The shadow clones send back their memories after being displayed, so yeah, like every 2 - 5 minutes new memories of getting punched, or kicked, or thrown off a building.
"Have you reached your limit already?" Naruko turned and glared at Ebisu, who was standing on one end of the bridge, "the hell!? Come on! Just gave up already!" Naruko yelled as Ebisu scoffed, "Naruko, you have understood my greatness by now, right? It's about time you surrender and move on to training-" Ebisu was cut off by Naruko
"I'm not giving up! I'll have Kakashi-sensei train me!" Ebisu smirked at the stubbornness of the blonde, "it appears you still have some spirit left" Naruko lunged at Ebisu, but on contact the clone displayed, "the game's over, Naruko" Ebisu once appeared on the other side of the bridge, "come on, let's go" Ebisu said as Naruko groaned.
Later…!
Naruko and Ebisu were eating at ichiraku. After the long run Naruko was hungry, and the whining finally got to ebisu. So he was here just to shut her up, "you need work on your chakra control." Naruko gave him a confused look, "control?" Ebisu nodded,
"that's right. Now then, comparing you with Sasuke and Sakura, I will explain your bad points in order." Naruko slumped down into her chair as Ebisu cleared his throat, "as you know. In the case of using Ninjutsu, genjutsu and the like, Ninjas build up chakra and activate the jutsu" Ebisu said as Naruko frowned, "I know that already!"
Ebisu placed down his empty bowl as he turned to Naruko, "then, in the case of comparing the three of you, I will explain specifically how you are inferior." Naruko scoffed, "you should have seen Sakura's match" Ebisu sighed, he had seen Sakura's match, and it really was a waste of time,
"maybe you aren't inferior to Sakura fully, but in terms of chakra control, you are" Naruko again slumped down, 'ah, I'll get stronger then Sasuke-kun!' Naruko thought as Ebisu continued, "Sakura's chakra control is near perfect, and Sasuke is somewhat poor at building up chakra, But his control is good. And then there's you, you leak chakra like a open tap, and because of that your control suffers" Naruko continued to slump as ebisu went on,
"Your jutsu's are unstable because of that. But there've been times-" Ebisu as Naruko enthusiastically cut him off "when I was greater then Sakura and Sasuke-kun!" Ebisu again sighed, he was annoyed, No he was really annoyed,
"that's only because you happen to have more stamina and chakra, then the both of them combined" Ebisu said as Naruko grinned, "well, that's something good, right? I mean isn't more chakra, and stamina good?" Ebisu nodded, he had to agree. she had something good, and a lot of it at that.
'Well, I'm pretty sure that your chakra control is bad due to the influence of the kyubi, which also increases your stamina' Ebisu thought as he got up, "anyway, there's no mistaking you can become strong, if you train that is" Naruko's eyes lit up as she jumped up, "really?!" Ebisu chuckled, "I guarantee it. Now then, let's go" Ebisu said as he paid for the ramen. That was the last time he'd pay.
Later…
Ebisu and Naruko were walked to the Hot springs, "now then, you're training begins" Naruko stared him down with a questioning look, "what exactly do you want me to do? And if you say something perverted, I'll hang you upside down on the womens side!" Ebisu sweat dropped at the threat, "I mean, walk on this hot water" Ebisu's answer only confused Naruko more.
"What's wrong, why are you staring me down again?" Ebisu asked, "walk on hot water? Can you really do that?" Ebisu's eye twitched at the question, "of course, you idiot!" Naruko covered her ears, because of the volume. Ebisu cleared his throat as he began speaking, "I heard from Kakashi-san. You already did the tree-climbing Training, right?" Naruko nodded as she grinned, she remembered the experience. The training was hard, but she had fun with Sasuke. But this time she wouldn't have the luxury of training with him.
"It's that, but you'll have to do it on a ever-changing surface. This should in in theory, improve you're chakra control" Ebisu said as he stepped onto the water, his feet glowing with a thin layer of chakra, "wow, that's cool!" Ebisu crossed his arms as he turned to Naruko.
"Well, this is how it goes" Ebisu said as he pointed to his feet, "oh! Ok! Let me try!" Naruko tried to step on to the water, but to no one's surprise, she fell right in, "hot! Hot! HOT!" Naruko yelled as she got out of the water as Ebisu smirked, "I forgot to tell you, but this water is 60C. So try and not fall in. Well, try not falling in again" Naruko glared at Ebisu, her clothes, and hair were wet, plus it was hot water, REALLY hot water.
"Couldn't you have told me earlier!?" With that she tried again, and again, AND again. After a good while of boiling, Ebisu was getting ready to add spices. Naruko again tried, and she managed to sand on the water…for about 7 seconds, "well, this time you managed to stand on the water…for a little bit at least" Naruko groaned as she tried again.
Ebisu looked to his right as he saw a white haired man peeping into the woman's side, "what do you think you're doing!?" Ebisu ran at the strange man. The man slammed his hand on the ground covering the immediate area with smoke. Ebisu was suddenly wrapped by a tongue, "w-wha-" he was then head first slammed into the ground, knocking him out, "I was doing my *research*" the man said, 'one pervert lost to another, ah?' Naruko got out of the water as she approached Ebisu.
"Hey. Perv, you awake?" Naruko poked Ebisu. He was out cold. Being slammed into the ground by a old pervert was a good way to get knocked out, "some trainer. He's out cold" Naruko's attention turned to the man standing on a toad "alright frogman, what was that all about? Who do you think you are, anyway?" The man struckup A strange stance, "I'm glad you asked! I'm the great toad sage from mount myoboku! Jiraiya-sama!".
"What? Toad sage?" Jiraiya nodded as he dispelled the toad, "well, listen you Ero-sage, what are you gonna do about this?!" Naruko exclaimed as she pointed to Ebisu, "this guy is supposed to train me! And you knocked him out cold!" Jiraiya just sighed, "well, he shouldn't have interfered with my *research*" Naruko just glared at the man, "your research?! You mean peeping on women!?" Jiraiya waved his hands in defence, "you see, I'm a novelist. A writer of great books, like this" the said as he pulled out a orang book.
Naruko's glare intensified, "you wrote that Smut?!" Naruko exclaimed as she pointed at the book, "don't call it smut. It's a great book for man and women alike!" The man said as he waved the book, "research, Yeah, right. Just an excuse for you to peek at girls in the bathhouse!" The noise had finally gotten the attention of the girls in the hot springs. The girls were gone before you could say research. Jiraiya paled, "look at what oyu've done! You've ruined my peekin- I mean *research*!".
Naruko just gave the old pervert a deadpan stare, "dirty old Ero-sage" jiraiya swung his fist in the air in frustration, "you little… there's nothing dirty about it! I happen to be a serious artist, who's inspired by beauty!" Naruko facepalmed as she continued to watch jiraiya's antics, "yea, whatever you say, Ero-sage. Nobody, and I do mean NOBODY believes that. And what about my training?!"
"hm? Your training? You mean, the walking on water technique. You were having trouble with that?" Jiraiya asked as Naruko nodded, "you can do it? Ok, then it's up to you to teach it to me. You at least owe me that!" Jiraiya again sighed, this was getting annoying, and it was interrupting his *research, "huh, stop bothering me, kid. I'm busy" jiraiya started walking away.
"Hey, wait! Come back here, you Ero-sage! Where's your sense of responsibility!?" Jiraiya scoffed as he turned to Naruko, "I can't train someone who has no respect for a true artist!" at that a certain blonde demolition expert sneezed.
Somewhere…
"I feel like someone is comparing my art to something vile!" The blonde yelled as a hunched over man sighed, "shut up, deidara, or I'll run you through, and turn you into a puppet" deidara snorted as he turned to the man, "try it! I'll turn you into my art!" Deidara yelled as a clay bird landed on his shoulder, "we're gonna be late, let's go" the man said as they continued walking. They had work to attend to.
Back with our blonde…
Naruko scoffed. Who the hell compares peeking on women to art?, "besides, I don't like kids" Naruko crossed her arms as she glared at jiraiya. Maybe lying would work, "uh, actually, I thought your book was, uh, really well-written, and interesting" jiraiya saw Right through the lie as he sighed. "Liar. The purchase and reading of that book is prohibited for anyone under 18".
"Oh, yeah. But the reviews I read were great" if lying didn't work, flattery worked most of the time, "Do you really think that's gonna work on me? What do you think I am, an idiot? I'm a sage! Save your breath, kid" jiraiya started walking away, again, "hey, wait!" Naruko's yelling fell on deaf ears as jiraiya jumped on a roof. "Goodbye, and good luck!" Jiraiya said as he began roof jumping, with Naruko hot on his tail.
Later…
Naruko had inevitably Lost sight of the old pervert. Now she was running through the village trying to find said pervert, "HEY! Ero-sage!" Naruko yelled, she stopped to catch her breath as she looked around, 'where'd he disappear to?' After catching her breath she began running, again. Well at least it was good cardio.
After running for a bit longer, Naruko heard a women scream followed by the loud sound of someone getting slapped, hard. "What do you thing you're doing, you disgusting old pervert?!" At that Naruko knew jiraiya was nearby, "I'm sorry, but you have such a beautiful pair of soft and lovely bo-, uh, hands!" Naruko turned to her right as jiraiya, once again got slapped, harder then before.
'What was I thinking? This guy is real pathetic. At least edisu had the common courtesy to not be a pervert openly. But it's not like I have much of a choice' Naruko thought as she approached the floored jiraiya, "ah, the women of this village are no friendlier then before" jiraiya said as he got up, rubbing his cheek.
"So you've been here before, huh?" Jiraiya sighed as he turned to Naruko, "I'm surprised they don't make you wear a leash. You old pervert!" Jiraiya paled as he noticed he was in the middle of a busy street, and Naruko was calling him a pervert in front of everyone, "shh! You know, I really wish you wouldn't call me a pervert".
"Oh, yeah!? Well, tell me how'd you like if I call you a joke? Cause that's what you are, mister. A joke! First I got stuck with that closet perv, and now, oh! Why can't I get some to train-" Naruko was cut off as jiraiya picked her up by the back of her jacket, "put a lid on it, would ya?" Jiraiya did the only reasonable thing he could. He threw Naruko in a large pot, put a lid on it, and put a large rock on it, "have fun!". Jiraiya said as he happily walked away.
Somewhere in the forest…
Jiraiya sat down to rest for a little bit, "ah, what I'd give for just a few minutes with a pretty, young girl" jiraiya wondered aloud as he looked up at the sky. His musings were cut as he jumped behind a log to avoid several kunai thrown at him.
"Did you think you could get away so easily?" Naruko said as she approached where jiraiya was. But there was no jiraiy, he had substituted and ran. "Not bad, old man" Naruko ran off trying to find jiraiya, but jiraiya didn't run. He was hiding behind a tree, "she'll have to be a lot smarter then that to outfox the great toad sage"
"Oh, yeah? How am I doing now?" Naruko asked as jiraiya slammed his head against a tree.
Later but not too later…
"Ok, I'll admit you're not totally without talent" jiraiya said as he leaned against a tree, "so does that mean you'll help me train?" Jiraiya shook his head as he sighed, "not so fast, Bart. It's a question of quid pro quo. I'll give you what you want, but in return, you have to try and get me what I want" Naruko tilted her head.
"So what do you want?" Jiraiya perversely chuckled, "you must know by now, I like ripe and luscious, with curves like that, see? I'll train you if you can bring that to me" Jiraiya said as he made a weird Motion with his hands. Naruko's eye twitched as she glared at jiraiya, 'how does someone be this shame less?' Naruko got a plan.
Jiraiya never specified what he wanted, only vague descriptions. "Alright, you got a deal!" Naruko said as she ran off. Jiraiya noticed a pair of women walking, and he grinned, 'hehe, it's not like we had a contract, kid' jiraiya thought as he ran up to the women, "can you show me the way to town, huh?" Jiraiya asked
Getting tired of these laters…
Jiraiya and those girls were now in a bar. They were laughing at jiraiya's story, "it's funny, yes. But it's not just a story. Every word is true" Jiraiya boasted as the girls chuckled, "what happened next?" Jiraiya continued his story as they continued to laugh.
"Hey, ero-sage, I'm back!" Jiraiya paled as the girls laughed at him, "I told you not to call me that!" Naruko proceeded hold up a massive watermelon, "just like you wanted. A ripe and luscious one with curves" jiraiya's eye twitched, "that's not what I meant, you baka!" Jiraiya took the melon and chopped it up in his frustration.
"Then cure to explain what you meant?" Naruko asked as she dug into a piece of melon. Jiraiya sighed as he sat down, "there's no use explaining something so simple to you".
Ebisu had finally woken up. After searching he had found Naruko and jiraiya. And now was spying on those two, "I've wasted too much time already" jiraiya said as he got up, "hey! What are you talking about? Where are you going? What about my training? We had a deal!" Jiraiya didn't have the time for this. He had to ge t back to his *research*.
"I don't give a damn about your training. I have my research to conducted!" Jiraiya yelled as Naruko glared at him, "it's not like I don't have better things to do then hang around with a old pervert like you. I've got to train until I'm stronger then anyone, because I've got to pass the chunin exams. And then, someday, I'll be the first female hokage!".
"Huh, did you fell on your head as a child? Is that what makes you this way? Now I know you're wasting my time! I need to get back to my research. No fruits, no vegetables, but a lady!" Naruko tilted her head as she stared at jiraiya, "a lady? Oh, if that's what you wanted, why didn't you just say so?" Naruko asked as she went through hand signs.

Later…
Jiraiya and Naruko Were in the forest, sitting by the river. "Ok. We'll just pretend none of that ever happened. Now, let's begin your training" jiraiya said as Naruko turned to him, "and you really mean it this time?".
"A sage always means what he says. Now, go ahead and show me your water walking" Naruko got up, walked Over and stepped on the water, "I'm doing it!" Naruko walked to the Centre of the river and stood there for a good amount of time.
Then fell right in, "not again!" Naruko swim back and stood up, "you really do need help, don't you?" Naruko removed the drenched clothes, and stood in front of the water, "go on and build your chakra one more time" Naruko did as jiraiya ordered.
As she built up chakra, the eight trigrams seal appeared on her stomach, 'so that's the seal minato used? Good thinking. Wait…what's that?' The five elements seal appeared as jiraiya frowned, 'that has to be why she's facing problems with water walking. If I had to guess this Is the work of that snake'.
Jiraiya walked over, his fingers glowing with chakra, "gogyō kaiin! (five elements release)" jiraiya said as he slammed his hand on the seal, knocking Naruko to the ground, "that should do it" Naruko glared at jiraiya as she got off her back, "what was that about!?" Jiraiya chuckled as he walked over.
"Just pushing a pressure point to loosen ya up. Now, go on" jiraiya pointed to the river as Naruko walked over. She stepped on the water and found it much easier this time, "I'm doing it! Just don't ask me how" Naruko jumped around in the water as jiraiya looked on.
'Ha. I think it's time to teach her how to control the foxes chakra' jiraiya thought as he waved over Naruko, "alright. Out of the river. I'm going to teach you something useful" Naruko ran over as her eyes lit up, "you mean something powerful and destructive?" Jiraiya shock his head as Naruko groaned.
Later…
"Now, then, there's something you need to understand, kid, before we go any further. I don't think you're even aware of it, but you possess two chakras within you." Jiraiya was trying not to say, hey kid you got the nine tailed demon fox in your stomach.
"Huh? Two chakras?" Jiraiya nodded as he asked the important question, "haven't you ever felt it? A different chakra?" Naruko thought as she shrugged. "Well, I'm not sure. Hm, I do kind of remember there was this one time." Naruko went even deeper into her memory as she recalled
"All of a sudden, I had this odd upsurge of power and anger, and I didn't know where it came from. I don't remember when it was exactly." Jiraiya nodded, 'well, at least the kid has used it in the past. I don't have to do everything from scratch'.
"If it was a colour…I'd say it was red" jiraiya nodded, "that's enough for one day. Plus I have my research, so go do whatever you kids do those days" jiraiya said as he got up and cracked his back, "that's it?! Why don't we finish it today" Naruko exclaimed as jiraiya sighed, "kid, I've got my research to attend to. I'll see you tomorrow!" Jiraiya said as he disappeared in a whirlwind of leaves. "Stupid, Ero-sensei" Naruko Muttered as she walked off
Later In the village…
Sasuke shot up and felt he's neck burning with pain, "about time you awoke up" Sasuke turned to his right to see Kakashi holding his book, "w-what happened. Why am I here?" Kakashi sighed as he looked up from his book, "you hit the ground like a pile of bricks, and were unconscious after the sealing. That should answer you question"
"What time even is it?" Kakashi looked towards The Clock, then turned to Sasuke, "it's about 2am. You should go back to sleep, your training will begin Tomorrow" Sasuke nodded as he laid down, "are you gonna stay here all night?" Kakashi nodded as he went back to reading his book. 'I wonder what naru-Chan was up to' Sasuke thought.
The next day…
Naruko headed back to where she and jiraiya had trained. To find jiraiya peeping on girls, "OI! Ero-sensei! You're up to this again!?" Jiraiya paled as the girls ran away, "not again!" Jiraiya turned to Naruko as he sighed, "don't call me that. All right, I guess it's time to teach you, brat" jiraiya walked over to the, now Empty river side.
"Ok, do you remember what we talked about yesterday? You know, that stuff about chakra?" Naruko nodded as she walked over, "you said that when you exerted massive strength, you felt red chakra?" Naruko again nodded as jiraiya put a hand to his chin. "All right, try building up that chakra, right now".
"Right now? Well, I guess if you say so. I'll give it a try" as she tried building up the red chakra, or more commonly known as the chakra of the kyubi. "Well did it work?" Jiraiya asked as Naruko shook her head, "no, it's not right. my normal chakra is just coming up".
"Oh, man, you really have absolutely no talent, don't you kid?" Naruko scoffed, "hey, don't go acting like you're so great! Ero-sensei! And besides, I can't help it, I mean, I don't even understand those to types of chakra myself, all right?".
"Would you stop calling me that? And just keeping trying. You'll get it eventually" Naruko grunted as she tried again, 'hmm, so she doesn't understand it, huh. Naruko probably still hasn't realised that that chakra is really of the nine tails. Judging by her story it seems that strong emotion like fear, or loss are the key to summoning the kyubi's chakra'.
"It's no use. I'm only getting the usual chakra. Hey, hold on a second. Maybe I don't need to summon that chakra. I mean, what in the world does it have to do with the jutsu that you're going to teach me anyway?" Jiraiya sighed as he stood up, "ah. Listen brat. For that jutsu, the chakra you've used unit now is nowhere near strong enough" he said as he poked Naruko on the forehead protector.
"If you want to use this jutsu, you'll have to be able to pull it out all the stops and tap into that chakra that's dormant within you. Summoning it up at a moment's notice." Jiraiya said as Naruko Grunted, "yeah, that sounds cool and exciting, but how do you even know that I really have that chakra inside me?"
"That's just what I wanted to hear. Actually it's because I am a sage" well, not wrong. But it's the worst kept secret in konoha. "Talk about giving an answer without giving one." Naruko said as she sighed, "anyway, that chakra will be become your greatest weapon in due time. I'm sure of that"
"Greatest weapon? Really?" Jiraiya nodded as he put his hand on Naruko's head, "yes. Not using it is like blowing up a goldmine, before mining it. Look, there's no need to blindly follow the same training regiment as everyone else, right? Everyone has their own strengths and weaknesses. You have your own style. Your training until now was taijutsu and maintaining and releasing a set amount of chakra. In other words,"
" it was training you to control chakra, and not letting everything out at once like a floodgate. You have two types of chakra, and don't exhaust easily. So you should learn to release the largest amount of chakra you can, and then train yourself so you can increase the total amount you of chakra you can use. Once you do that, a whole world of jutsu will open up to you."
"Seriously? Like what could I do?" Naruko asked curious as jiraiya chuckled, "well, for example, the Kuchiyose no Jutsu (summoning) that I'm gonna teach you. Ah, there, yes, that's perfect" jiraiya walked over to a clearing as he sat down, "really?! You're finally gonna teach me a cool jutsu!" Naruko exclaimed bashfully as jiraiya chuckled at the blondes antics.
"Yeah, yeah. Hold Your horses. Before we begin, you're going to need to use all of your normal chakra, so that the other chakra is the only one available." Naruko Vigourously nodded as she jumped back, "Kage banshin no jutsu! (Shadow clone) Naruko started making clones as jiraiya looked on.
"So, you already knows the Kage banshin?" Jiraiya asked as Naruko nodded, "I've got a pretty good idea how to use up chakra quickly, just see" at that she kept making more and more clones. And after that started fighting the clones
Later…
Jiraiya was standing a safe distance away from the violent blondes. Naruko knew a pretty deadly fighting style, so the fight didn't last too long. Short and violent. "I think that's enough, kid. You used up most of your chakra" jiraiya said As he approach the battered and bruised Naruko. "Now I can finally teach you the jutsu"
"Yea! Finally, I've been waiting all day!" Naruko jumped up and down with excitement as jiraiya shrugged, "I couldn't tell. All right, first I'm going to show you how it's done. Now watch carefully" jiraiya bit his thumb, and slammed his hand into the ground. A sealing matrix appearing on the ground. Smoke covered the area, and after it cleared it revealed jiraiya standing on a toad.
"Whoa, that's awesome. That's the coolest thing I've seen" the toad had a large scroll in it's mouth. It used it's tongue to place the scroll in front of Naruko, "go ahead and open it. It's the toad summoning contract. Just sign it with your name written in blood, and stamp it with your fingerprints in blood" Naruko opened the scroll and saw a pretty familiar name.
"Wait. The yandaime signed this too?!" Naruko asked in disbelief as jiraiya nodded, "of course, he was my student!" Jiraiya said proudly, well minato taught himself more then jiraiya taught him, "that's awesome! I'll sign it right now!" Naruko bit down on her finger and began writing.
After she wrote down her name and stamped it, jiraiya showed her the hands signs. "Kuchiyose no Jutsu! (Summoning)" Naruko slammed her hand on the hand and smoke appeared. The smoke cleared only to reveal A tadpole, "you've got to be kidding me!" Jiraiya bursted out laughing as Naruko glared at him, "that's… the funniest thing… I've seen all day!" Jiraiya rasped out in between laughs,
"I wasn't ready that time! You'll see this time it'll work!" Naruko tried again only for another tadpole to appear. Jiraiya's laughter only got louder with each attempt. Naruko walked over to jiraiya, and hit him in between the ribs, knocking the air out of him, "would you shut up already?!" Jiraiya nodded as Naruko went back to trying, 'not the hardest I've been hit by a blonde' jiraiya shuddered as he thought back.
Naruko again tried, but again a tadpole, "it's bigger then last time" Naruko sheepishly said as jiraiya facepalmed, "who cares? It's still a tadpole. You need to summon toads!" Naruko tired again and again, but to no avail
Later…
It was getting dark and Naruko was still only summoning tadpoles, and there was no sign of the kyubi's chakra, "that's it for today, kid. We'll have better luck tomorrow" jir said as he approached the floored Naruko, "wait…let me try again" Naruko got up only to see jiraiya had left, "stupid old pervert!".Naruko decided to head to the village and try her luck finding Sasuke.
Naruko walked through the village, it was pretty Normal night in the village. Travelers and foreign merchants in the markets. People just minding their own business, but as usual some folks took the time to glare at Naruko. Naruko had Gotten used to it, but it still hurt.
After wondering for awhile Naruko finally bumped into Kakashi and Sasuke "Sasuke-kun!" Naruko yelled as she wrapped the raven haired boy into a hug, "I missed you so much!" Naruko Squeezed Sasuke harder, "I get it. You don't have to squeeze me that hard!" Sasuke said as Naruko let him go.
"I missed you too" Sasuke said as he kissed Naruko. Her cheeks lit up as giggled, "all right. you two better get walking, it's getting late" Kakashi said as he started walking away, lazy waving as he pulled out his book, "come on, let's go" Naruko and Sasuke held hands as they started walking.
"So, what did you do all day with Kakashi-sensei?" Naruko asked as she leaned her head on Sasuke's shoulder. "He had me climb up a Cliff one handed, with no chakra." Sasuke was still sore after doing that with Kakashi
Later…
Sasuke and Naruko had made it to Sasuke's appointment. They had enjoyed each other's Company. Sasuke had told Naruko to go home, but Naruko had insisted on staying at Sasuke's place. So now both of them were in Sasuke's apartment.
"Why do you have to be so stubborn?" Sasuke asked as he sat down on his bed, Naruko sitting on a chair. "What, you don't like me being around?" Naruko asked as Sasuke sighed, "no. It's not like that" Sasuke said as he sighed, "well, you can have the room down the hall. I'm going to sleep now" Sasuke said as Naruko grinned.
Before Sasuke could react Naruko Tackled Sasuke onto his bed, "nope, I'm sleeping with you" Naruko said as Sasuke turned beet red "wait. you ca-" Sasuke was cut as Naruko kissed him, "shut up. Just enjoy it" Naruko purred as she cuddled up to Sasuke.
Sasuke's face was red hot, but he couldn't say he didn't like it. He wrapped his arms around Naruko causing her to giggle, "finally liking it?" Naruko softly asked as she kissed Sasuke's cheek. Sasuke buried his face in Naruko's long hair, and mumbled something. Naruko didn't care she just leaned her head against Sasuke's chest, "I love you so much" Naruko said and Sasuke kissed her head, "I love you too".
Naruko didn't have anyone who loved her for most of her life. Having Sasuke was the best thing that happened to her. Naruko hugged Sasuke tighter as Sasuke kissed her on the head and held her tighter.
The next day…
It was early in the morning when Sasuke's alarm went off. Sasuke grunted as he turned it off, and snuggled up to Naruko. Then he noticed his alarm went off, he'd usually get up early thanks to the nightmares, But today his alarm went off. 'That was odd' Sasuke thought as he kissed Naruko's cheek, and blissful fell back asleep.
Later…
Sasuke again woke up as the rays of sunlight hit his face. Sasuke grunted as sat up, he didn't want to get up but it was getting late. He grunted as he stood up and stretched, "why couldn't the night just last a little longer?" He mumbled as he made his way to the kitchen.
Sasuke made himself some coffee as he sat down, he didn't have much to think about ,Well except the chunin exams. After he finished his coffee he went to wake up Naruko. Sasuke walked into room and stared at the sleeping form of Naruko, he didn't want to wake her up but it was getting late.
"Alright, time to get up, sleeping Beauty" Sasuke said as he gently shook Naruko. Naruko groaned as she grabbed Sasuke's hand, "ahh, shut up and come back to sleep" Naruko groaned as Sasuke chuckled, "no. It's time to get up, Naru-Chan" Sasuke said as he patted the blonde on the head.
Naruko grunted as she sat up, and stretched. Sasuke momentarily blushed as he kissed Naruko on the cheek, "have I ever mentioned how beautiful you are?" Naruko blushed at the compliment as she looked away, "um, t-thanks" Naruko mumbled as she stood up, she was not a morning person, her brain didn't work well in the morning.
"Alright. Come let me make you something to eat" Sasuke said as he grabbed Naruko's hand, and dragged her to the kitchen, "from when did you become so caring?" Naruko asked as Sasuke shrugged, "well, I don't care. I like you more this way" Naruko said as she kissed Sasuke's cheek as the boy blushed.
Later…
After they'd finished eating, Naruko and Sasuke left Sasuke's apartment, "so, I'll see you tonight?" Sasuke sheepishly asked as Naruko grinned, "you liked it, didn't you?" Naruko jokingly asked as Sasuke blushed, "well, I um-" Sasuke was cut off as Naruko put a finger on his lips, "I'll be here tonight, dattebayo" Naruko kissed Sasuke, and began walking.
After a bit of Naruko found jiraiya peeping on the women, who were near the river. "Ero-sensei! Stop whatever you're doing and let's start training!" The women in near the river screamed as they began running, "NO, not again!" Jiraiya exclaimed as he burst into anime tears.
Jiraiya composed himself as he turned to Naruko, "ah, since you've ruined my research, again!. Why don't we get started" jiraiya stood up and walk to the river side as Naruko followed, "you know what to do, so get to summoning, kid".
Naruko began summoning, it was most the same as last time, but now the tadpoles had legs. Jiraiya sat in the shade observing Naruko with an unimpressed look. "This is hopeless! It's just more and more of the same thing, tebayo!" Naruko exclaimed as she punched the ground.
"You'll hopefully get it down, sooner or later" jiraiya said as he laidback and continued lazily observing. Naruko summoned a Slightly bigger tadpole with four legs, and sighed, "I guess I'm getting closer"
Later…
Naruko dropped to the ground nearly exhausted. Jiraiya walked over and knelt down, "alright, this is clearly getting us nowhere. If you want to succeed with the Kuchiyose no Jutsu, then you must do it like your life depends on it."
"What do you think I'm doing!? I train every day like I'm gonna die, dattebayo!. If you have time to complain about it, teach me a trick to do it" Naruko shot up and exclaimed. jiraiya put a hand to his chin as he wondered, "a trick? Well, I don't know about that"
"So you aren't gonna teach me?" Jiraiya continued to wonder, then he clapped both his hands together. "You need to put your life at risk. It's no joke. Even so, are you willing to do it?" Naruko Vigorously nodded as jiraiya's sweat dropped, "of course. I always risk my life. There's no point in anything if you don't give it you're all!"
"I see. Now, follow me" jiraiya said as he started walking, and Naruko followed. "I need you to keep an open mind, no needless thoughts, You'll have pay your complete undivided attention" jiraiya said in a Stein tone, he was not messing around. "Okay, I'll try my best" Naruko said as she tried to focus.
'I'll bet the chakra of the kyubi is triggered by loss, or the fear of certain death. I just hope the ghost of minato or kushina comes for me" jiraiya grimaced, he didn't want to test it this way, but it was the only way.
"Naruko. Starting now, you must Stare death in the face. To stave off the horror of death, you must release that chakra." Jiraiya said after what felt like hours of walking, "where even are we?" Naruko asked puzzled as jiraiya shook his hand Dismissively,
"Now, stand over there" jiraiya point as Naruko followed, she was now standing on the edge of a cliff, "if you don't wish to die, do something about it. Now!" Jiraiya said as he pushed Naruko off the cliff. Time felt slowed down as Naruko fell, she tried to use chakra and grab onto the cliff walls but she was going to fast, even if she were able to grab onto it, it would just rip her arm off.
'No, no, no, No! I'm not dying like this! I'm not gonna die like this!' Naruko closed her eyes to focus, to think of anything that would work. She opened her eyes to find she was not falling. No, she was standing in a dimly lit hallway, water pooling on the ground. She felt a weird sense of calling coming from in front of her.
She started walking, noticing the many pipes coming in and out of the walls, some of which were broken and leaking water. Naruko felt the anxiety and fear start creeping up on her, it was like this hallway never ended, A labyrinth of endless turns and miss directions. She starting picking up Pace, eventually starting to run.
She finally reached where the calling was coming from, A large room with a pair of large barred steel gates, 'what even is this place?. Why am I here??' Naruko wondered as she stepped closer to the gates. She stepped back in fear, A pair of large crimson eyes stared her down,
"So, my jailer finally decides to visit me. How wonderful" it's voice bellowed, filled with sarcasm. Naruko finally found some courage, and stood firm, "what are you?" She asked as the thing bellowed with laughter "you don't even know what I am, and yet you stand before me?. Tell me, what do you think I am?"
With a small glimmer of light Naruko saw nine tails waving freely in the air, "y-you're the nail tailed fox" Naruko proclaimed as the fox chuckled, "indeed, I am. Now tell me, why are you here? Just to disturb my slumber? Or here to demand my chakra for yourself?."
"You're in my body, and you owe me rent. So for payment I'll take your Chakra. You got it?" Naruko said after mustering the little courage she had. The fox again bellowed with laughter as it stared down the small girl. "Well, I suppose I can't kill you, can I? After all, if you die, I die, and I'm not particularly looking forward to dying." The fox said as a wave of reddish orange chakra flowed towards Naruko.
Outside…
Naruko snapped out of her Mind scape, and felt the chakra of the fox flowing through her. She bit down on her finger and went through hand signs, "Kuchiyose no Jutsu! (Summoning)" out of a large cloud of smoke, appeared a massive toad.
"Where am I?!" Gamabunta boomed as he grabbed onto the cliff walls, "that was way too close" Naruko mumbled as she caught her breath. She looked around and saw she was on a massive toad, "JIRAIYA! WHY DID YOU SUMMON ME HERE?!" Jiraiya started backing away, and disappeared . Gamabunta jumped up with a thunderous leap, Naruko held on for dear life as Gamabunta careened through the air.
With a loud boom Gamabunta landed. Naruko fell face first onto the ground as Gamabunta noticed the mysterious kid in front of him, "tell me, kid, where's jiraiya?!" Gamabunta asked as he lowered his head, "I don't know" Naruko said as she stumbled to her feet.
"That bastard summons me for no reason, then leaves!" gamabunta boomed in anger, "but he didn't summon you, I did" Naruko said. Gamabunta roared with laughter as he stared down Naruko, "I hate to tell you this, girl. But even if I were willing to believe that you actually summoned me, and trust me, kid, that's a really, really big if, if you're the kind of your the type of person who could fall of my back that easily, then there's no way I could accept you as my summoner"
"Now that I'm here after such a long time, if jiraiya doesn't need me, I'm going for a walk" bunta started walking as Naruko called out, "No, wait!" bunta grunted in annoyance as he smoked his pipe, "listen, why don't you just get out of here and go home? It's clear you're incapable of serving as my henchmen" bunta said as he turn away.
"Fine. If making you respect me depends on me staying on your back, well then I'll just make sure I don't fall off your back" Naruko said as she ran up gamabunta, and sat down on his back, "fine, girl. Have it your way, but I won't make it easy. You'll have to stay there all day!"
Jiraiya watched in amusement as gamabunta comedically tried to get Naruko off of him, "best of luck, kid, you'll need it"
Much later…
The day was coming to an end, Naruko had managed to stay on bunta's back. She would've won but physical stress of the day finally caught up with her. Naruko fall but was caught by the gamabuntas massive tongue. "You almost made it, brat" bunta said as jiraiya appeared.
"The brat didn't lie. She really did summon you" jiraiya said as he opened the summoning scroll, "you didn't have to point that out, jiraiya. I am fuller aware that this girl summoned me. This was a test, like the one I used on minato" bunta said as jiraiya chuckled "yeah, I do remember that" jiraiya said, his voice filled with the nostalgia.
