The phone rang on her nightstand table. Jill was startled, people rarely called her at 11:30 at night. She put down the magazine she was reading (the article was about relationship tips) and picked it up.
"Hello?"
"Hi Jill." Her heart started beating faster. It was Chris His voice was strong and full, but tonight it seemed sad and weary. Was something wrong?
"Yeah, Jill, hi. Umm…I've been trying to, y'know, work up the courage to tell you this for the past few minutes and, uh, I just wanna say that it's like over between us? You see, I kinda, you know, found someone else who can satisfy my needs. I wish you all the best and, uh, bye!" Click. Dial tone.
She slowly replaced the cradle. She stared blankly at the wall. After a few moments she headed for the door. She grabbed a her jacket off the mantle and headed into the cold night of Racoon City.
The more Jill walked the more her thoughts began to unjumble. Chris and her had been so close- what had gone wrong? She walked through the darkened city alone. No cars, no people. Everyone was asleep.
It was all so confusing after the mansion incident Chris and her had supported each other in the aftermath- they'd needed each other and their relationship had grown out that support. How could Chris…?
Her emotions settled on anger. Her hands clenched into fists. Damn men. They were all selfish pigs. Tears were forming in her eyes. She turned into a darkened alley. Maybe what she needed someone who was more than a man yet wasn't male. She made a bitter laugh. What nons-
A tall dark figure whom Jill hadn't seen stood at the other end of the alleyway. She let out a gasp. In the darkness Jill couldn't make out his (it's?) face.
"Hello?" She called it. It didn't respond. In a similar situation she would have heeded her police training and leave the area. But she didn't feel like was in danger in the stranger's presence. She moved closer. Jill suddenly had an idea who it was.
"Nemesis?" She began to jog towards the black figure. The pupil-less eyes. The surgery scars. The exposed teeth. The black leather trench coats. Jill stood before him and looked upwards into his face. Being only 5'5 in comparison to Nemesis' seven feet she had to tilt her head quite a bit.
"You're back…" she whispered. Jill then through her arms around the monster and embraced him. Her emotions came pouring out and she started to sob. The B.O.W closed it's arms around the S.T.A.R.S woman and returned the embrace.

"So how did she take it?" A very naked Wesker asked as his equally unclothed partner climbed into bed.
"Jill's a strong woman. She'll find someone new," Chris answered. "Good night Wesker," he said as he switched off the bedside lamp.
"Good night Chris."
