The villagers began muttering and whispering among themselves about this mysterious visitor. "Who was that! What is he! He wiped out half of those raiders like they were nothing!" One of them cried.

"I saw him too. He looked a lot like a juggernaut, only bigger and more muscular. And more terrifying," another added.

"Could that have been the Avatar? Or is it some spirit?" someone else asked.

"No, No it can't be! That man couldn't be an avatar, no avatar or any spirit could have that kind of strength!" One woman said.

Kya remained silent. She kept a tight grip on her daughter who trotted by her side. The villagers didn't understand what was going on, and neither did she. That man, whoever he was, was the most terrifying force of destruction Kya had ever seen. And yet he saved her and protected everyone. She looked around at everyone around her; people were talking amongst each other, most of them seemed very excited. Some of them had their heads bobbed up in disbelief.

Others spoke softly, quietly, and cautiously. There were others who appeared frightened, terrified even, by the man. Kya knew better though, seeing the looks of relief written on people's faces when the armored man appeared. She knows he isn't evil, because he has done everything for her and for her family.

And had it not been for him, she probably wouldn't be standing here right now. He saved them all, she will never forget that.

Suddenly, someone shouts. "That's him! That's the guy I told you about."

"Really?" Another voice piped in. "Are you sure? Are you positive that it was him?"

A chorus of voices replied affirmatively to the second voice, causing Kya to turn back to where the masked man disappeared. A wave of nervousness washed over her and she unconsciously clutched the capsule in her hand, her heart pounding furiously inside her chest.

Well, for our sake, she thought, hopefully he's on our side.

"What do you mean, old man?" Kya heard one child ask. "What do you mean you know that's him?"

"He's the Sentinel of legends, the eternal shield, he's nightmare incarnate consumed by ultra violence. He is our savior, the Red Glow of the night… Doom Slayer," the old man replied with a solemn voice.

The villagers as well as Kya, Hadoka, Katara, and Sokka were stunned silent, and stared wide eyed at the old man. Kya's mouth slightly agape, her eyes wide with surprise. Doom Slayer… had she heard that name before? Yes. Yes, she has. She remembered her great, great grandmother telling her stories of such a warrior. Of course her husband believed them to be real, never believed in anything supernatural, because what was supposed to be impossible. Yet when she read about it in scrolls she always found herself intrigued. Even more so when the stories said that Doom Slayer was every nation's guardian. He had been rumored to have died ten thousand years ago, when an ancient war raged. Rumors said that he had vanished without a trace. No one knew where he disappeared off to. The story said that he was a powerful warrior, able to single handedly defeat entire armies, but no one knows what happened to him after that.

He left a lasting impression on the land, a legend in the minds of many, much like the Avatar.

"But it doesn't make sense," Sokka spoke up, breaking the stunned silence. "If that was really him, how in the world did he find our village just in time before the sea ravens could take us out?"

"He has us to thank."

Everyone turned their attention to four little cloaked figures approaching them. Each of them was wearing a hood, and four of them wore blue cloaks. In unison they folded their hoods over their foreheads revealing themselves to the villagers. They were all young looking girls, ranging from age five to thirteen. They were quintuplets and looked identical with each other including the brunette hair, the same piercing gray eyes, the facial features of their mother, and were dressed identically.

Kya recognized the quintuplets. Their leader was Aanya, next to her stood her older twin sisters, Zai and Zuri. Lastly, the one to her left was Lai.

"We saw the ravens earlier and knew we had to act. So, we went and woke him from his tomb. Heh, heh, although he was a bit cranky when we woke him up." Aanya chuckled.

Lai laughed along with Aanya. "Yeah, the look on Zuri's face when he glared threateningly at her was priceless. She was so scared." She giggles.

Zuri glanced at the snow floor, grumbling. "I wasn't scared! Not even a little!" She pouted. Aanya, Lai, and Zai shook their heads at her, knowing full well she was lying.

"Well," Hadoka glances at the many sea raven corpses scattered across the area. "He sure did make one big entrance… a slaughterhouse at that."

"Do you think he'll come back?" Katara asked, looking up to her father curiously. Hadoka thought it over, his brows furrowed and lips twisted into a frown.

"It's possible that he may return, but until then it seems highly unlikely for him to show up here again."

"So…what are we going to do?" Sokka asked, glancing over at Kya. Kya nodded her head, agreeing with Sokka's question. She understood Katara and Sokka's concerns.

"Well," Kya said, turning her gaze back at the children, "for now, we'll focus on what's in front of us. Getting all this cleaned up, reconstructing our village, and uh… rid away those bodies." At that last statement she shuddered at the prospect. Her gaze flickered over to the dead bodies, and her stomach roiled uncomfortably at the sight. The raven soldier's corpses littered the snow ground, and the ground was red from bloodstains.

"So let me get this straight…"

The room was quite quiet, except for one person, General Boa. His voice was stern and his body was tense. The raven group soldier's heads hung low, ashamed to look directly at their general.

"You mean to tell me that one man," Boa says with venom lacing his tone. "One. Man. Not only got the best of you, but slaughtered a few or more of your men and you just… ran away?" Boa continued to question the soldiers with his eyes burning with fury.

"Yes, General, we ran. But please sir, you must understand we had no choice. We had no way of knowing who or what he was! This man was the most unstoppable force in the world. He's unlike anything we've faced before, nothing like a normal human being."

Boa snorts derisively.

"And you expect me to believe you? To believe that some random stranger is capable of destroying an army that size with just a few blows?"

"Sir, he wasn't an ordinary man. You weren't there when he broke General Yon Rha's arms, you weren't there when he slaughtered my comrades one by one. We lost almost too many. What I did was for the best…"

"Enough!" Boa roared, slamming his fist against the table, causing a loud crash which caused the three people sitting down to flinch.

The remaining five soldiers sat silently in fear.

"You're all cowards! Every one of you, hiding behind your leader's backs." Boa spat at each man as he spoke, anger apparent in his voice. "And I will hear no more excuses from you. Especially you, soldier," he turns towards the raven soldier. "Tomorrow, I will send word to the other fire navy ships. We will go back to the southern water tribe and retrieve or kill the last water bender, and as soon as we get back to the fire nation, I will take great pleasure in deciding a good enough punishment for you sorry excuse of a firebender. Do you understand soldiers?"

All the raven soldiers nodded their heads.

"Good… now get out of my sight."

The soldier slowly rose from his seat, walked towards the door, turned around to face the general, and bowed deeply, before making his way out of the room. Followed by five others.

Once the door clicked shut behind the soldier, Boa breathed heavily through his nostrils. "This whole affair will be over sooner rather than later…"
