Chapter 2-War Storys

The Rider Squadron and Strider Squadron where sitting all together outside on some tree lugs around a fire. Trigger sat besides Hiccup. Astrid sat near Hiccup and Snotlout near her. Ruff and Tuff where sitting between Fishlegs and Count.

Suddenly Astrid spoke up "Hiccup, right?" He nodded. "Why is your Tail fin red?" She asked him.

"That's actually a really funny story" he began. "Here we go again" Trigger teased him.

"As i said, it is a funny story" he began again and glared at Trigger who laughed. "In my last squadron we had that tradition that if we get hit by something we would mark that spot red. Bullet wholes got patched up and then a red circle got drawn at the spot where it hit. So i sat in my A-10 Warthog and covered our troops retreat. When we were finished, we got called back to base but as i was flying back a FLAK round hit my left tail fin and ripped it completely pf my plane. I'm glad that i've flown the A-10 because i'm not sure if i would have made it back. Anyways as i got to base i saw that my tail fin was missing. I got a new plane and i had to paint my tail fin red so i did. The next mission was a Air superiority mission so i got an Fighter. To be exact an F-15 C. While fighting we heard the enemy radio calls talking about a pilot with a red tail fin and how he was so good and he decimated their whole squadron" Trigger shook his hand on head at that point. But Hiccup continued "After that mission I saw a movie i think it was called How to train your Dragon or something but i saw that one Dragon... the Nightfury and i thought to my self that i'm going to be that Dragon in the air. Because the Dragon got shot down and lost it's tail fin too so i marked the tail fin with the Emblem that guy ,who actually was called Hiccup too, had on the Missing tail fin on his Dragon. We renamed our Squadron from Viking 10 to Dragon Squadron. And it got stuck with us so our new name was Dragon Squadron. And that's why my Tail fin is red" Hiccup finished and all the others besides Trigger and Count where stunned by the story their leader just told them.

"You know Hicc i've never herd so much BULLSHIT came out of your mouth which is actually true. But I'm jealous of you you little shit because it's true" trigger said teasing receiving a slap to the back of his head from Hiccup and all laughed beside Snotlout who wasn't really happy about the fact that this new guy was better than him.

"Wasn't your last name Haddock?" Snotlout suddenly asked making all go silent. Hiccup nodded still recovering from the laughter. "Yeah why?" Hiccup asked him. "And isn't your last name Hofferson?" Snotlout then asked Astrid who nodded too and made a questioning look.

"The two Ace Pilots Valka and Finn wasn't they too Haddock and Hofferson?" Snotlout aksed again ignoring the questioning looks he received from the group.

"I think that those two Idiots never where Ace's especially not that Finn guy" Snotlout said. Hiccup jumped up but Trigger held his armto prevent him attacking Snotlout.

"And this bitch Valka died for nothing. I easily could shoot down those two Felons" everybody gasped.

"YOU GOD DAM BASTARD TAKE THAT BACK!" Hiccup yelled and tried to attack snotlout but got held of by Trigger and Count. "GET THE FUCK OFF ME I'M GOING TO KILL THAT BASTARD!" He was in complete rage.

"Snotlout you should leave. NOW!" Trigger said to him holding Hiccup.

Snotlout got up and ran off not prepared for that outburst from Hiccup. "Hicc Calm down!" Trigger held him. "He isn't worth it come on" Trigger managed to calm him down after that outburst of him.

The rest of the day was uneventful. Hiccup and the boys went to their Barracks and the Girls to theirs. Huxian and Brownie looked at a terrified Astrid. "What happened?" Brownie asked. "Hiccup... he snapped at Snotloud because he insulted Valka the Ace" Astrid explained. "He did WHAT?" Huxian almost yelled. "He Insulted Valka" Astrid replied again. "No he didn't" Brownie sanpped again. "Why? What's so bad at that?" Astrid asked. "Lieutenant Valka was his MOTHER" Huxian explained to Astrid and Ruffnut.

Meanwhile in the Barracks of the Boys Snotlout managed to evade Hiccup for the evening with the help of Trigger and Count. Snotlout went to the other end of the barrack and Hiccup was brought to the end across of Snotlout.

The Sirens went off warning everybody of an enemy air attack. "Rider Squadron Scramble" A voice said over the speakers. Hiccup, Astrid and Fishlegs where the first one's by their Planes. Hiccup got into his F-22 and fired the engines and started to roll towards the runway. Behind him Rider-2 (Astrid- Stormlfy) and behind her Rider-3 (Fishlegs- Meatlug). Then Rider-4 (Snotlout- Hookfang) and Rider-5 and 6 (Ruff and Tuff- Barf and Belch) came into view rolling towards them.

"Rider-1 permission to start. Link up with SkyKeeper" The Tower Control said to Hiccup and he began to push the thrust leaver to the end and the Plane moved forward speeding faster and faster until it pulled up. The other Pilots did the same.

All 6 Pilots where in the Air and flew to the location of the bogeys. The Radar of the F-22 was superior to the Radar of the Planes of his comrades. The 6 AMRAMs Locked to 6 different targets only waiting for permission to fire.

"Rider Squadron here is AWACS SkyKeeper, weapons free. Smoke'em". The radio call came from the AWACS aircraft. "Here Rider-1 FOX 3, FOX 3" Hiccup yelled over Radio and fired all 6 AMRAM Missiles. Hiccup then broke off and rolled down to the left. Astrid followed him. Snotlout broke off to the right and Fishlegs and the twins followed him.

"Hookfang you got this element and Nightfury you take over your Element. Nightfury is still squadron Commander" A radio call from SkyKeeper came and breefed the Pilots in mid Air.

More Bogys (now Bandits) popped on on the Radar of the Pilots. Element 1 (Raptor-1) Nightfury and Stormfly engaged the first enemy Squadron which had about 5 Fighters. Element 2 (Raptor-2) engaged to Squadrons in which where more than 10 Aircraft.

Nightfury and Stormfly downed Bandit after Bandit until an Fighter came with an foreign emblem. "Stormfly fall back!" Hiccup yelled over radio. "What? Why" She asked. "Just do it god dam it" He yelled again now more powerfull. Astrid sighed and broke off his side and fell back.

"SkyKeeper what the hell is he doing here?". "I don't know just shot him down and leave the Area" SkyKeepers reply came. Hiccup engaged in a Dogfight against a SU-33 which was more manoeuvrable than the F-22 but the F-22 had better sensors and radar than the SU-33. Hiccup managed to get behind the Bandit and fired a AIM-9 but the Bandit evaded it with it's flares. Hiccup got nearer and fired his M61 Vulcan at the Bandit and hit him multiple times. The Bandit suddenly pulled up and made the Cobra manoeuver and suddenly the Bandit was behind Hiccup. Hiccup pulled to the side to evade enemy lock on and dove down whily dropping Flares. The Bandit followed him. Hiccup tried everything his plane could do to evade the Bandit but the Bandit still got some hits with his cannon. Hiccup had enough and rolled to the left and did an high G turn and almost turning on the spot and then he was again behind the Bandit. Hiccup fired again his Cannon and destroyed the right tail fin and the right engine making the Bandit go down.

Hiccup caught up with Astrid and she was stunned at the battle she just whitnessed. They both then went on to support Raptor-2 becasue they still where figthing the enemy.

Hiccup had only one AIM-9 left. And Astrid had only 2 R-37 Short range air to air missiles left.

"Rider-1 FOX 2" Hiccup stated and fired his last AIM-9 missile after he got a lock on to one of the bandits.

He then got into Dogfight after Dogfight and won all. "HEY THAT WAS MY KILL" Snotlout yelled ad Hiccup shot down a Bandit who was in front of Snotlout who tried to get a lock on.

Hiccup didn't respond to that and just broke off to search for another Aircraft but saw none and his Radar was clear to. "SkyKeeper this is Rider-1 any contacts on your Radar?" Hiccup asked. "uh, negative rider-1 my radar's clear" came the respond from SkyKeeper.

They made their way to back to the Base and landed on the runway and rolled to the hangars for their fighters to be maintained.
