Chapter 3: iFly

[A/N] Well this has been a year and a half in the making, Carly finally returns to Seattle. I appreciate all of you that are reading this as I do hope to continue this story as well as other things in my life. But I hope you do enjoy the return of the story.

[Carly's POV]

It is only now, sitting in the airport, that the reality of my life returning to the way I loved it with the people I love, the places I love and the webshow I love is actually a reality rather than a fantasy.

{Flashback}

Carly and Sam begin to talk to the camera, knowing this was likely going to be their last iCarly show for a long time.

"We have something to tell you." Carly states bringing the show to a more sad tone than their usual wackiness.

"Now, this isn't goodbye."

"No it's not. But, iCarly is going to be taking a break."

"Carly's going to Italy to live with her dad for a while." Sam presses the groan button on her remote to add effect and steps out of the camera shot, leaving Carly there on her own to speak to her audience that she has built up over most of her teenage life.

"Listen, doing iCarly for you guys has meant so, so much to me. And, it's changed my life."

"And it's kept me out of prison," Sam steps in, "most of the time."

Gibby also steps in, "show's been a lot of fun"

"And um." Sam and Carly have a side hug of support. "And I wanna say, to the fans of iCarly, thank you"

"Without you guys, we'd just be a couple of idiots with a camera, in an attic."

"Which we are."

"Well yeah."

Carly and Sam bring a bit more energy to close of the show, "till we see you again."

"Keep your sock full of butter"

"And if you're attacked by a moose."

"Make sure you scream."

"OH MY GOD, I'M BEING ATTACKED BY A MOOSE!"

"IT'S EATING ME!" Carly and Sam start screaming.

Things get serious again, they realised this is the last time for years, maybe ever they would say these words. Holding emotions back, they finish their show, one last time. "I'm Carly."

"And I'm Sam."

"And this has been."

"iCarly."

Freddie switches off the camera one last time, also trying to hold the emotions in which are brewing, "and, we're clear."

[Carly's POV]

Memories like this come flowing back to me, saying bye to everyone and that kiss with Freddie in the studio while he was packing up his equipment, his sweet lips on mine, that is what I miss more than anything.

A couple of hours of daydreaming which felt like waiting for Christmas and just like when I got on the plane which took me away from Seattle, I begin to watch iCarly moments still finding it difficult to believe that the show I loved making so much, I can make again. After a little bit of time passes, I decide to have a nap to pass the time and dream sweet dreams of my life in Seattle returning once more before it becomes a reality.

Countless years later, I approach the Bushwell Plaza where I once lived and once I enter, will live there once again. I walk in without Lewbert's presence which feels very strange, instead there is a young, handsome man standing in his place.

I take the elevator up to 8-C and I can finally see the living room which holds so many past memories in person. I can now sit on the couch which I once sat on regularly, especially when with Sam, Freddie or Spencer.

Speaking of Spencer, he walks through the door and instantly greets me, "Carly!" He runs over and gives me a welcoming embrace. It was so nice to finally see Spencer after so many years. "I have been waiting so long to see you again. It's been so strange not having you and the gang here daily bringing so much energy and life."

"I've missed you too Spence. I've missed you, I've missed everyone else, I've missed Seattle in general."

"It's good to have you home Carls." Spencer goes into the kitchen and gets a rootbeer. "Shall we invite Freddie and make some Spaghetti Tacos like old days."

"Couldn't think of a better evening." I run up to my room which has remained untouched, despite me being gone for years and get changed for when Freddie comes over.

I wake up to the announcement from the cabin crew saying the plane has safely landed in Seattle. A tear of joy drops as I step on home soil after what felt like centuries away. Dad calls for a cab to take us back to our real home. Sitting in the backseat of the taxi, driving down the Seattle roads I once walked down regularly. I cannot stop feeling so excited about being back in Seattle, I never knew it would mean so much to me but the memories in this city are the painting of my life and me as a person. The cab stops and I open the door and step out of the cab to look up and see the eight letters on the building I once lived in and live in again. Bushwell. I am home!

[A/N] After a year and a half of waiting, that is chapter 3 wrapped up. Following the conclusion of this chapter, I'm sure you all have an idea of what to expect from the next chapter. Thank you for reading, I'm glad that I'm finally back and can't wait to get further into this story showing a different way of how Carly could return to Seattle and how the gang's adulthood could go. Things are getting more and more interesting by the chapters and I hope you enjoy the ride.
