Ok if you see any resemblance from the twilight books you are wrong! (throws my old copy of twilight into my bookshelf to be hidden away from your judging eyes) don't at me I don't like throwing away books and yes I was a twilight fan in high school
Anyway I hope you all enjoy this filter chapter, next chapter we will be getting into the main plot of the entrance exam, so time skip! (Also as you can see I suck at filter chapters lol i want to get into the main story all ready!)
please leave a review!
Katsuki growls, tapping his pencil against the desk, trying his hardest to pay attention to the the man was making it way more boring than it should be. But he was the best, he was going to U.A. That meant he needed good grades and that meant listening to his boring ass teacher.
He hears snickers and looks over to the two extras who had helped him teach the shitty nerd his lesson. They were hiding their mouths behind their hands, snickering at the sight of the empty desk. He rolls his eyes, clenching his pencil tightly in his hand "Of course when Deku is not even here he keeps getting into my fucking head….being so annoying!"
It's been two weeks and the damn nerd still hasn't come back. It was a good thing too. Maybe he'll get that fancy waste of air to get him home school so he'll stay out of the way of people who actually matter in society.
"That's the best place for the Quirkless loser. Being locked up away as the fucking shame he is," he growls, the others ingoring it as he took notes. He and the others looked up when the speaker crackles, turning on as the unknown voice rang throughout the school building "Greeting staff and students, this is Red Hood and I will be your host for today and unless you want some bullets in ya I suggest ya listen. I'm on behalf of the Musutafu Board of Education," Katsuki feels dread in his stomach at that, why would the board call a hero? A hero that he really didn't know about, only that the guy use to be a Robin and the fact that he uses guns like Snipe (who he only knew because the hero was a teacher from U.A). "And until further notice Aldera Elementary, Junior High and High School are to be close down, probably til the next school year for negligence, abuse, unlicensed Quirk Counselors, Quirk discrimination, and encouraging illegal Quirk use But fear not students, the board is kind enough to place you in different schools around the area. Please head to the gymnasium to wait for your parents so you can talk to members of the board. Members of the staff…just wait right there until the police comes and get you…or run…I don't care might give me a workout,"
The speakers died down but the noise was soon replaced with the whispers of his classmates. Katsuki stares with wide eyes, his dream, no his plan on being the only student from this shitty school was now torn down. He looks to the extras, whose faces were pale as they stared at the empty seat of Deku. he growls, explosions popping off his hands in anger, "Did that stupid Deku snitch on the school? This is why you can't be a hero shitty nerd. If you can;t deal with a little beating then there is no way you can fight villains," growling angrily, ignoring how the extras flinch at the sounds of both his growls and his explosions he stuffs everything in his bag and walks out of the classroom.
"Remember concentration and control," Izuku takes a deep breath as Bruce turns the key, locking the chains that wrapped around the straitjacket, both hugging his body tightly. He shakes his head as he feels the blood going to it as he hangs upside down, "Focus on them and you can master any escape,"
"Kinda hard to do that when I'm upside down," Izuku giggles but stops when Bruce frowns at him, "Right..sorry..sorry..concentration and control…got it!"
Bruce holds up a stopwatch, his blue eyes looking into Izuku's green, before he starts it, "Go!"
Izuku begins to wiggle, swing back and forth. He growls, turning this way and that way. "Come on…you can do it…just wiggle the chains off like Bruce told you," but to his anger the chains kept hold of him. Soon to his displeasure he was swinging back and forth wildly, "Get off!" he screams as he starts to bite in the chains.
"And that's time," Bruce states, making Izuku look up.
"No! I can do it!" he pulls at the chain with his teeth, the clicking sound of metal echoing in the cave, "I can get it off!" Bruce sighs, shaking his head and taps the chains with his cane. Izuku's eyes widen when not only do the chains fall off but so does the straightjacket. The rope tied around his ankles unravels and he screeches as he falls to the floor, with a grunt. He sts up rubbing his chin while he glares, "I could have done it if I gotten more time,"
"Maybe," Bruce said as he picks up the gear, "But this was a lesson for you," Izuku blinks staring at him, "I have noticed that you been pushing yourself too hard," Izuku looks at him, blinking, "Izuku, I don't expect you to do everything right the first time. I started training when I was nine, I had 17 years of training and you're trying to push all of it into ten months," Izuku winces at the look he was giving him, rubbing the back of his head.
"I have to be the strongest," he slowly stands up, "People will be staring at me, always judging me for my lack of Quirk. If I don't work a dozen times harder than everyone else is, they might use that as an excuse to throw me out of the Hero Course,"
"Put that fear out of your mind," Izuku looks to Bruce, "When you get into the Hero Course, they won't kick you out, unless you actually do start slacking off, which I doubt," Izuku chuckles, "I know you're worried about how U.A will treat you because of your lack of Quirk but I know Nezu and he will rain down a whole heap of punishment on anyone who does it,"
Izuku nods his head but was still nervous a bit. He was still going to do his best to train, he wanted to make Bruce proud, to show that the old man chose, he sputters when Bruce throws him some clothing, quickly grabbing it. "Your new school uniform," Bruce informs him, "Alfred will be taking you,"
Izuku blinks but nods his head before slowly heading up the stairs to get into his room. Coursan Junior High had a frightening total of three hundred and fifty-seven, now fifty eight students; Aldera had more than seven hundred kids. Couran was the school where the rich people of Musutafu send their kids to, all the kids had grown up together, having met in many galas. "Their grandparents probably have been toddlers together," Izuku thought with a frown, a shiver going up his spine. "I'll be the new boy from a one of the worst public schools in Musutafu..a curiosity and possibly a freak because of my lack of Quirk. A charity case…" he sighs a part of him wishing he could keep going to Aldera as he slips on the dark blue jacket over the red vest. He stares at himself in the mirror and winces, "I look like I'm a delinquent trying to go to a fancy school," he sighs, thumbing the scar across his face and ruffling his short hair.
Coursan's uniform consisted of a light blue collared shirt with a red vest and a red and orange tie along with dark blue slacks and a dark blue jacket. Staring at himself in the mirror wearing it, Izuku couldn't help but think he looked sallower, more unhealthy, the dark circles underneath his eyes looking more pronounced.
Gulping he grabs his yellow bag and heads down stairs, where Alfred was waiting for him with a hot warm bagel in hand. Nodding his head he walks out of the manor. It was drizzling outside, but not too much to soak him as he ran towards the limo and slipped inside. Izuku sighs, munching on his bagel as Alfred started the engine and began to drive towards the school, trying to ignore the way his heart was beating in a panic.
The school wasn't that far off from the manor, and looking out the window he now knew why Alfred decided to drive him when he could have walked. It wasn't obvious that it was a school, only the sign that declared it to be Coursan Junior High told him it was. Looking like a collection of matching mouses, built with maroon-colored bricks. There were so many trees and shrubs Izuku couldn't see the place at first.
"The school used to be a university long ago," Alfred explained as he parked in front of the first building, which had a small but fancy sign over the door reading 'Front Office'. No one else was parked there so Izuku was sure that if was off limits, "But when U.A was built they converted it into a junior high,"
"That's right…U.A is a mix between a High School and a University," Izuku thought, having studied at the school that had the best Hero Course. "Actually all high schools that have a Hero Course Program have University classes since most of those who go to those schools want to become a Hero or work in the Hero business," Sighing he thanks Alfred for the ride and the older man smiles while wishing him luck as he stepped unwillingly out of the toasty warm limo.
Walking down a little stone path lined with dark hedges, Izuku opens the door and steps inside the brightly lit and warm office. It was small, a little waiting area with padded fancy chairs and dark fancy carpet with notices and awards cluttering the white walls, a big clock ticking loudly. Plants grew everywhere in large plastic pots, most surrounding the long wooden counter that cut the room in half, cluttered with wire baskets full of papers and brightly colored flyers taped to its front. A woman who had a cocker spaniel for a head was manning one of the desks behind the counter.
She looks up, her blue eyes looking at him behind glasses, "May I help you?"
Izuku gulps clutching his yellow bag, "I'm Izuku Midioriya," he informs her and the way her eyes lit up with immediate awareness and curiosity made Izuku flinch. He still wasn't used to all this attention, a topic of gossip no doubt. The newest ward of Bruce Wayne who has been hiding for the last twenty years in his home, coming out of the shadows to adopt a newly orphaned boy.
"Of course," she said nodding her head as she dug through a precariously stacked pile of documents on her desk till she found the ones she was looking for, "I have your schedule right here, and a map of the school," she walked over to the counter to show him, going through all the classes he had, highlighting the best route to each one. It was shocking how kind she was being, since he knew that his files would have his Quirk status printed with bold letters. He nods his head at her in thanks taking the schedule, map and slip to have each paper sight that he had to bring at the end of the day, "Also Midiorya, the Principal wishes me to tell you that if you have any troubles with your fellow students to tell him. That we at Corusan want to reassure you that you will not be dealing with the same idiocy as you did at Aldera, and that we take pride in our very strict anti-bullying policy,"
Izuku blushes and shyly smiles as convincingly as he could before he thanks her. Stepping out of the building he sees that more students have arrived and soon walks over, following the crowd but keeping in the back to not pull any attention to himself. Looking at the map he jumps when he feels a tap to his shoulder and swirls around, smiling and relaxing when he sees Ibara, wearing the same uniform but with a knee-length dark blue skirt instead of pants, "Hey Mistah Zu, how you feeling?"
"Like someone is going to bite me," he admits, chuckling as they both walk around what could only be a cafeteria. Ibara chuckles, taking his scheduling and smiling in glee telling him that they had the same classes. Izuku's shoulders slump in relief knowing that he wasn't going to be alone with a total bunch of strangers as they walked towards building three. A large black '3' was painted on the white square on the east corner. Walking inside the classroom was small, Izuku could feel the many eyes turning to his direction, all gazing at him with curiosity and wonder. He ignores it while walking to the teacher, a bald man whose desk had a nameplate identifying him as Masoni. Izuku winces when he openly gawks at him, face flushing red but at least he sent Izuku to an empty desk at the back, without forcing him to introduce himself, making it harder for his new classmates to stare at him.
The rest of the morning passed in about the same fashion, and Izuku soon followed the flow of it. He felt more relaxed with Ibara with him even though he glared at his math teacher who made him stand in front of the class and introduce himself. But he was glad that Ibara was able to sit beside him in math and English and she introduced me to several people who names he unfortunately forgot as soon as she told him. He was sure that she knew it with the way she rolled her eyes.
It was just so strange though, no one was using their Quirks madly. None of the teachers called him out or sneer at him, no one tried to make him trip. "Is this how a normal person is treated? He thought as he grabbed a bowl of salad to go along with the bowl of rice, fish and strawberries. Nodding at the food he selected he goes to walk over to the table where Ibara was sitting with several others, when his luck decided to come knocking once more.
He yelps when he slips on a puddle of cold milk that someone had spilled, and brace himself to fall on his butt and to have his food drench him when an arm wraps around him, stopping his fall. Opening his eyes warily he blinks at the large anthro crocodile that had his red scaled arm wrapped around his waist, holding him up. His white scaled arm quickly shot up grabbing the tray and with quick reflexes grabbed the falling food before it could hit the floor.
Izuku couldn't help but be embarrassed as his face warmed up and was cursing in his head for his preferences. His mom called him a monsterfucker, a term that was used before the Dawn of Quirks. It meant that he was romantically attracted to those with inhuman features. It was the most embarrassing talk he had when his mom saw him blushing over some videos of Godzillo fighting against his archrival Ghifordah. It was not a fun time when he discovered the wonders of puberty..but it explained so much on why he liked looking at fights of Gang Orca as much as he did All Might.
Staring at the other, his face flushed even more as he stared at the humanoid crocodile. He was tall, quite tall and the uniform hit him tightly, showing that he was quite muscular for his age. His scales were evenly split between two colors; white on his right side and red on his left. His eyes blink at him as he helps him stand up and Izuku couldn't help but stare at them, "They're beautiful," he thought looking at the turquoise and gray eyes but blinked at the rough patch of scars that marked the scales around his left eye.
"Are you alright?" he rumbles and Izuku shyly nods his head, not trusting himself to not say something stupid and embarrassing, "That's good," he holds out Izuku's tray to him and Izuku gladly takes it, nodding his head in thanks. He nods before he turns around and Izuku has to fight the urge to look down as his tail sways with each step he takes.
Shaking his head he quickly goes over and sits down next to Ibara who was opening giggling at him. Huffing at her, looking at him in the corner of his eyes he sighs, "Who is that?" he asks Ibara in a whisper, turning to her.
"That's Shoto Jones," Izuku looks up, recognizing the last name of Killer Croc, "Yeah..he's the nephew of Killer Croc who, unlike most Gotham Villains, retired fully along with his wife June, aka the Enchantress. He lives with them," she said underneath her breath, "No one really knows who his actual parents are…just that his mother is Croc's sister. But there are rumors that his parents gave him up because he got the same mutation as his uncle,"
Izuku sighs, stabbing a fork into the salad and shoving it into his mouth. The taste of the italian dressing filling his mouth made him smile a bit, "And I thought humanity was bad enough, my mom thought I was fragile when I was declared Quirkless but at least she never gave me up," he mutters and Ibara nods her head in agreement.
"Do not worry, whoever his parents are, they will suffer for their sins by our Lord," Izuku smiles, "But, I heard that he's going to U.A as well, he's taking the Recommendation Exams though," Izuku's eyes widen at this, heart beating madly as he looks at Jones in the corner of his eyes. The boy was sitting alone, eating a bowl of cold soba with a plate of fish on the side.
"He seems lonely," he whispers and Ibara nods her head in agreement.
"Jones mostly sticks to himself…I think its because he sees no point?" Ibara shrugs her shoulders, "It's no doubt he definitely going to be pick for the Recommendation with how strong he is with his mutation Quirk along with his regular Quirk," Izuku looks at her with curious eyes and she giggles when he pulls out his Waynepad to write it down, "I don't know much about it, just that he can control ice on his right side and fire on his left…even though for some reason he never uses the fire..just the left,"
Izuku sighs as he writes it down, "Even his Quirk sounds beautiful," he moves his tray and slams his face into the table, making the others surrounding him chuckle.
"But yes, he sees no point making friends here. While lots of Heroes in the area send their kids to this school, its mostly filled with children of Support Companies or other businesses that don't even have anything to do with Heroes. And U.A has a hard rule on how many people they can take from a single junior high," Izuku nods at that, it made sense and its was one of the reasons why he knew Aldera focus so much on Bakugou.
"Don't even waste your breath Midoriya," one boy who had horns in his head scoffs, "Apparently none of the people here are good enough for him," Izuku looks up and raises his eyebrow at him while biting at his lip to stop the smile. He wonders when Jones turned him down.
He then turns his gaze back to Ibara who was giggling, looking at her phone, "What are you doing?"
"Just telling Conner and Denki how badly you are simping," she squeals, holding her phone above her head out of Izuku's reach, "Ah~ Ah~ Ah~ no way Mistah Zu! This is pure gold for us!" she giggles standing up even as Izuku tries to lunge at her, "You're always so serious! It's funny seeing you act like a teenage boy," Izuku playfully growls and lunges for her again, and she expertly dances out of the way. Her brown eyes shining in mirth, but also relief. He knew that the other three worried about him, how he didn't react to jokes the others made, or reacted to memes. That he was very much far behind in development in social interaction with people his own age.
The two chase each other around the cafeteria, laughing and joking around. For the first time since he walked into the school building, he felt his anxiety washed away. He never noticed the blue and gray eyes watching him, following his every step with curiosity in them.
Shoto sighs as he trudges into the living room, his mind running a mile a minute in confusion...and a bit of awe. The last week…has been different…and all because of Izuku Midoriya.
He didn't have any classes with the new Quirkless Wayne Ward, but he heard rumors running around the halls of the school. He hasn't even spoken a word to the other, except for when he stopped the boy from falling. But he did watch him, running through the halls, sitting with the Isley-Quinzel girl, listening to the chatter of the others and putting his own opinion in.
He watched as the green haired boy slowly pulled out of his shell, stopped flinching when someone who wasn't Isley-Quinzel touched him suddenly and seems to even walk with more confidence as the days go by. What even surprised him more was when he kept waving at Shoto, smiling at him and wishing he had a good day.
Usually people were afraid of him, he scented their fear each time they looked at him, all worrying that he'll be like his Uncle Waylon. But when Midoriya looked at him, there was no fear scent, not even when his heart rate quickened at the sight of him.
"Shoto?" he turns his head to see his Aunt June, are you ok? You seem more tense than usual," he could see the way that her eyes glowed that she would release the Enchantress on the problem that was making him upset.
"I'm fine Aunt June…it's just…" he swallows, "There's a new boy at my school. I don't talk to him but...he doesn't seem afraid of me? I don't scent any fear when he looks at me. But during lunch he seems to look at me, he even waves to me and greets me," he flops on the couch sighing, "which is strange because I do hear his heart quicken when he sees me…but no fear,"
Aunt June blinks at him, "Does his face turn red when he sees you? Does he seem to have lost the ability to speak?"
Shoto blinks and thinks about it, before nodding his head, "He does…his face becomes red when he sees me. And while he doesn't lose the ability to talk he does stutter more when he greets me,"
"Well it seems that he has a crush on you," Shoto's eyes widened at that. A crush? On him? He had pushed away thoughts of dating or even marriage unless it was someone his father chose for him. He knew that not everyone was like his Aunt June, that even today people with mutations have it hard. That in some places people kill their children for having mutations. But to know that someone looks at him, and thought of him as mate material..it made his inner animal rumble in satisfaction.
His Aunt June chuckles, softly petting his head, "Now that you know what are you going to do with that information,"
"Watch him for now," Shoto states, laying down on his stomach, "I heard that he plans on going to U.A's Hero Course like I am..he's Quirkless which there's nothing wrong with that," he shrugs his shoulders thinking, "But if he does have the strength to get into U.A's Hero Course..then he might have the strength to become my mate," he smiles making his Aunt June chuckle.
He leans back into the couch, thinking of that sharped fang smile, those green eyes shining with some sort of strength, "I don't think he'll have any problem with it though,"
"Sometimes you are too much like your Uncle, you know that Shoto," he just smiles at his aunt, a rumbling sound escaping his throat.
Yep! in this universe Shoto has a crocdile mutation that he inherited from his grandfather the father of not only Rei but Waylon aka Killer Croc! Also in this shoto was raised by Waylon and his wife June (aka the Enchantress) so is much different than his canon counterpart but still much the same as in he hates his father but at least he has better childhood now.
I decided to make Shoto have a mutation Quirk because of the recent chapter with Shoji... I won't spoil too much but I think that what author was trying to do is a good one except its happening during the finals chapters of the manga and its not even with one of the main characters but a background character, no hate on Shoji of course but the main good guy characters are Izuku, Shoto, Bakugou (unfortunately) and Uraraka and once again he's dropping this during the final chapters of the series..this should had at least happen way before, maybe in the overhaul arc or something! So yeah Shoto has a crocodile mutation Quirk along with Half-Hot Half-Cold and Izuku is very much a simp.
Anyway I hope you enjoy the story! Please leave a comment!
