Hard To Get - Part 9

Bodie stood in the cold air, watching the dust being kicked up as the Escort howled away. His breathing was heavy, he couldn't catch it..he felt ill..Shit! What was wong with Terri?! He had only been chatting to those girls, though he couldn't deny that the brunette had touched his cheek, but at his invitation. He had been boasting of his baby soft skin. He paced up and down outside the pub doors. This wasn't fair, this wasn't part of the bloody script! WHY did Doyle have to choose this pub to bring Terri to?!

Bodie ran through it all in his mind, continually finding reasons why he wasn't in the wrong, ie Terri had seen it wrong, that he and Terri weren't an item and that he wasn't cheating on ANYONE! He debated whether to go back in for another drink but decided against it and flopped into the Capri. He rested his head on the wheel. Bloody hell. He knew he was to blame really. What cut him up most was how upset Terri sounded when she had called out his name. It had gone through his skin and chilled him to his bones. He sighed. Why had he done it? The warning sign had been there, the pang of guilt he had felt the moment he had stood up to go over to those girls. Why hadn't he taken heed? Now he risked losing Terri, the sweetest girl he had ever or probably ever would know.

Doyle was probably loving this he thought. Bodie who couldn't keep a girl for five minutes, finally feeling serious about somebody and then chucking it away. He saw himself in the wing mirror and shouted at the reflection. Stupid bastard! Bodie then jumped as a farmer walked around to the car and leaned in menacingly. "Hope that wasn't for me my lad..a pitchfork could be put to good use on you..." Bodie saw red and gunned the Capri. "Bugger off Farmer Giles!" he retorted and he swerved away violently.

Bodie was going to find her, that's all that mattered to him. He headed towards Camden and Doyle's flat. No sign of them there, though he waited outside for five minutes without taking his thumb off the buzzer. Next was Terri's. He'd driven halfway there, before it dawned on him that he didn't know which number she lived at. His mood by this time was very black and thank goodness that no OAPs and children stepped out in front of him because Bodie didn't know whether he would stop.....

As he screeched into the car park at CI5, Murphy was walking out and Bodie barked at him. "Terri and Doyle here?". Murphy nodded slowly. "Yes, the Escort is here..bit of a giveaway Bodie!" but Bodie walked straight past him. He marched down the hallways of CI5, nothing was going to get in his way. He was going to get his girl back..
