Chapter 1: Leaving home
For the first of September, it was chilly out. Hermione grabbed her Korn hoodie, ignoring the argument she got from her mother. She was excited to go back to Hogwarts, as usual. She'd get to see Harry and Ron and everyone. "Christianna," she called into her sister's bedroom, "do you know where my hair straightener is?" Not many people knew Hermione had a sister. Being a muggle born, she was the only one in her family with magical talent. Chris was, infact, her twin. When Hermione had gone off to Hogwarts, Chris stayed behind and went to the local high school, North County High. While Hermione was becoming a sixth year, Christianna was entering eleventh grade. Though it was hard to deal with the separation at first, the two of them had grown accustomed to it.
"'Mione?" her mother called from downstairs, "ready to go?" "Almost," she called back.
Hermione went back to her room to cram her last minute items back into her trunk. Christianna came into the doorway holding Hermione's straightener, "I can't believe you're leaving already." Hermione looked at Christianna. A lone tear slid down Christianna's face. "Awe Chris, I'll be back for Christmas." They shared a hug.an extended hug that reinforced their sisterly bond. Afterwards, they both wiped their eyes and Chris helped Hermione carry her stuff down to the car.
Making her way onto platform 9 ¾, Hermione's dread of spending months without Christianna, once again, lifted as soon as she saw Harry, Ron, and Ginny waiting for her on the other side of the barrier.
A/N: Yes, I know its on the short side.its my intro thing. Next chapter will be the train ride.
