Well, everyone... Here we are. At long last, the end is here.
I said I was going to leave all of my blubbering and gushing until the very end, but now that I'm here, I don't know what can even be said. I started writing this story on a random whim, and I'm really happy I did. This was a ride from start to finish, and I absolutely adore how it turned out. I hope you all feel the same way, because it really was incredible to write this. Just... Wow.
I was hoping to write this story for a long time, back before Spirit of Justice released, but I never actually pulled the trigger to do it. I'm glad I decided to wait since I think this story is much better than it would have been if I had written it back when I first started getting my ideas for it. My original characters have evolved a lot since then, and giving them that much time in the oven really helped with the development process. I love how this story ended up, and I'm glad there were others interested enough to join me on this journey as well.
I don't really have all that many acknowledgements here, but I do want to say thank you to Lily for listening to my brain rot when this story was in the earliest planning stages. I also want to thank Nico for offering me his thoughts after every chapter and fueling many discussions and fan theories that I loved hearing. You two know who you are, and I'm glad you were there to help me out throughout this year and a half long process of planning and then writing and publishing.
As of now, I don't have any plans to continue this universe. I wrote this as an alternate timeline to Spirit of Justice and a retroactive way to fix the writing problems of Dual Destinies, and I feel like the story kind of wraps itself up neatly at the end. There is potential for more, but I don't have much of a desire to continue it beyond maybe the occasional one-shot. If anyone else wants to write or make content for this universe though, I would love to see it, so feel free to reach out to me on Twitter ( _digitaldreams) or Discord (digitaldreams#2903) if you do something like that.
I will say though that I have been entertaining the idea of writing more Ace Attorney fic in the future, specifically more long fic for canon. It won't be happening for quite a while, but I do have ideas of a potential Apollo Justice sequel in prose style like this story. It would probably turn into a full trilogy that ignores Dual Destinies and Spirit of Justice, but I have no guarantees of when it would come out. Long story short, I had the opportunity to start it later this year/early next year, but I decided I needed a bit of a break from the extensive planning of Ace Attorney stories like this since my notes document for this story ended up as... Well, over 70 pages. I'll probably send my notes document in my Discord server for my stories after I post this so anyone can read it if they're so inclined or curious about my process.
All of that to say, I have plans of returning to Ace Attorney one day to write that Apollo Justice sequel and trilogy, but I'm not sure when it'll be since... Well, I've got a lot of other stuff planned in the meantime, and I'm going to need a bit of time to recuperate after this behemoth of a story. This case reveals her part in the Oracle project as well as her mother's true murderer, finally allowing her to trust the agency as full allies.

In the final case, Cotoli looks after his injured sister before unmasking himself as a member of the Oracle project.

Phoenix unmasks her as the mastermind of the Oracle project, at which point Chrysalis reveals that the legal world is twisted and cannot be trusted. Her actions as Oracle are meant to mitigate the damages. She invites the Wright Anything Agency to join her as members of the project, and they accept her offer.

Still, she pushes back against him when the time comes, loyal to the agency to the end.

When Miles picks up the search again, Kay uncovers Oracle's true identity and decides to work with them in the future.

Upon learning of Oracle's real identity, Reva takes matters into her own hands and tries to kill them only to be murdered herself at the hands of the true mastermind, leaving her to be framed for Oracle's machinations in death.

Samuel was caught by Aloist, and in the scuffle that followed, Samuel killed Aloist, though he was caught when the case went to court.

The exposure ended with Darcie Russell tracking Huber down for his crimes in the GC-9 Incident, and she murdered him for being responsible for the execution of her brother.

Klavier is a prosecutor and Apollo's partner. He is a kind and good-natured man who ends up a witness in the trial of Huber Turner's murder. Klavier is also close with Sora since the two bonded over their love of music after the SR-3 Incident. He is fiercely sure of her innocence even after she is arrested for Reva's death, something he is sure to explain when approached on the subject.

Simon's testimony helps to reveal the truth behind the victim's death and the one responsible for the crime.

Darcie is a coroner and the sister of the suspect from the GC-9 Incident. Despite all the proof proving her brother's innocence, he was found guilty because of forged evidence. Darcie grew to despise the prosecutor for the case as a result, and following the exposure of his crimes at Oracle's hands, she decides to exact her vengeance once and for all. She kills Huber on the day of his departure from the Prosecutor's Office, believing her brother to finally be able to rest in peace with Huber's death.

Darken was the suspect of the GC-9 Incident and Darcie's brother. Witness testimony and many pieces of evidence proved his innocence, but forged evidence from all sides ruined his chances of an acquittal. When Huber Turner piled on charges on top of his murder conviction, Darken was executed, and the truth of the GC-9 trial seemed to fade away long with him. His sister would go on to kill Huber in his name, believing that his death would finally allow Darken to rest.

Franziska is a prosecutor who collaborates frequently with the agents of Interpol. This work brought her to meet Shi-Long Lang and Fleur Haynes, both of whom helped her with an evidence transfer meant to help investigate Oracle's true identity. Unexpected circumstances and Fleur's death led to Franziska being arrested for murder, though the lawyers of the Wright Anything Agency were able to prove her innocence. In the final case, she is the reason for Maya traveling out to the city for a planned date.

Lang is an Interpol agent and longtime collaborator with Franziska. He was placed on guard duty for the evidence transfer of proof revolving around Oracle. After he is attacked, the evidence vanishes at the hands of the criminal and her associate. Lang testifies in the trial that follows, and his words help to prove Franziska's innocence.

Maya is a spirit medium and Phoenix's old investigation partner. She ends up as a witness in the murder case revolving around Fleur Haynes' death, a title she shares with Pearl. Later on, Maya helps with the final investigation into Reva's murder, a string of events that reveals the truth behind the Oracle of the Law's identity. After hearing who Oracle really is, Maya is sworn to secrecy alongside her cousin, and she keeps the truth close to her chest as the final trial plays out.

Pearl is a spirit medium and Pearl's younger cousin. Alongside Athena, Pearl helps to dig up the secrets of Natasha Morix's death, including a photograph of Hugo Osborne from years prior. This information leads to the truth of Oracle's identity coming out while simultaneously helping to catch the mastermind.

Jo is a detective who finds herself as a witness in the Fleur Haynes murder because of her role in the evidence transfer. In truth, Jo is not a person on her own, instead acting as an alias and extension of the Oracle of the Law. She was on the train to try and keep an eye on any incriminating evidence that could point to her real identity.

Fleur is an Interpol agent and coworker to Franziska and Lang. Upon gaining an interest in the Oracle case, she began to investigate the truth behind the spy's real identity, ending with an evidence transfer so she could continue her search. The evidence transfer is stopped in its tracks by Lara Burgess who kills Fleur to get her hands on the paperwork she had been working on. Fleur dies by poisoning at Lara's hands, not realizing the waitress before her is truly an assassin.

Lara is an assassin hired by Gordon to help with a heist to interfere with the evidence transfer. Lara's collaborator, Gordon, helps her to get away with the crime as much as he can, taking the remainder of the evidence she had to leave behind. In the end though, it isn't enough, and Lara is found guilty of Fleur's murder.

Sebastian is a prosecutor and old friend of Miles, Kay, Raymond, and Justine. While there, Sebastian witnesses the tail end of Douglas' death, a fact that drags him into the greater investigation at hand. He remains with Raymond throughout the duration of the case since the two witnessed the murder at the same time from the same place.

She is one of the spy's aliases who took over the case alongside Sora to try and learn the truth behind the murder at hand while defending Cotoli from any potential wrongful convictions.

Connolly stabs him in the back after growing fed up with the blackmail, and Douglas dies at the hands of one of his oldest clients.

Connolly is a defense attorney with an impressive win record dating back to before the SR-3 Incident. This mistake came to hang over his head like a guillotine and led to his co-conspirator, Douglas, blackmailing him for the forgery. Connolly snaps and murders Douglas after months suffering from the blackmail.

Juniper is a legal student and Athena's longtime friend. She spends much of her time caring for plants, something that finds her as a witness in the murder of Reva Nyde. She discovers Sora at the scene of the crime before Gordon arrives to arrest her, leaving Juniper as the first and primary witness for the case. Her words help to reveal the truth behind Gordon's actions, eventually exposing him as the mastermind behind the events of the last few years and Oracle's creation.

Natasha was Cotoli's mother and a prominent employee at Sparx Factory. She was respected and loved by everyone she worked with, leaving it as a shock when she was killed. After May Lin's death, Natasha took in Sora and tried to investigate the case. Natasha found a picture of Hugo Osborne despite his attempts to erase his existence from the public memory. Her investigation ended with her death at the hands of the very man she had been pursuing for her children.

May was Sora's mother and a famous singer. She raised her daughter alone, unaware the father of her child had two other children elsewhere. May taught Sora the ins and outs of showmanship before her death. She was killed after witnessing an evidence deal being carried out by Hugo Osborne, and he tracked her down and murdered her. In truth, Hugo never died, instead killing the real Gordon Ponce before assuming his identity and life. Hugo lived for the next few years under this false pretense, doing all he could to erase the truth and wipe his past life off the face of the planet.
