A/N I don't own any of the properties. This will be the last chapter of Corona. I hope you enjoy it. After it, it'll be Monstropolis then Kairi and the others will go to let's just say another new heart or at least who I think it is. It won't be Arendelle yet, that comes after and I will flesh out Arendelle more but enjoy this first.
Eugene was looking at the satchel with guilt. He then sighs and stares at the castle. He knows what he has to do. He is gonna sneak back to the castle and take the crown back. However, he doesn't know that he's being watched by Marluxia.
"Now, now. thief. You can't return the crown just yet... you have a part to play." He grins and snaps his fingers making more Nobodies appear.
"Knock him down but do not kill him." He ordered. The Nobodies didn't answer him, instead made their way towards Eugene.
Rapunzel meanwhile was waiting for Eugene to come back. She narrowed her eyes and widens in horror.
"EUGENE!" She screamed in horror. What she doesn't see is him being tied down and unconscious. A Dark corridor appeared revealing Marluxia.
"Oh, dear. He's run off with the crown and forgotten you." A voice called. She looks over to the source of that voice coming from Marluxia grinning.
"No... he wouldn't." Rapunzel protested. "Who are you?" She asked as she looked over at Eugene's boat.
"Forget Flynn Rider. You know where you belong, and it's not with him. Now…" He summons his Reaper nobodies and makes their way toward Rapunzel. Rapunzel runs away in fear. She then has her hair stuck in a tree branch. She tried to pull free before they could get her. However, she heard a familiar voice.
"RAPUNZEL!" She gasped.
"Mother?" She finally pulled the hair out and walks over back to the shore to see her "mother" taking care of the Nobodies. She embraces Rapunzel.
Oh, my precious girl.", said Gothel with great relief.
"Mother, how did you-?"
"I was so worried about you dear. So I followed you. And I saw them attack you." She then hugged Rapunzel. "All right, let's go, let's go before they come to."
Rapunzel stops and looks back at the boat on the lake. She slowly turns back to Mother Gothel, holding a green lantern in her hand. Rapunzel pauses as Mother Gothel sets the lantern down and opens her arms, beckoning her. Rapunzel's lip quivers and she starts to cry, running into her mother's embrace. Mother Gothel strokes her hair as she sobs.
After taking out the Nobodies. Sora and the others were about to rest until they spotted a familiar-looking girl.
"Isn't that Rapunzel?" Naruto asked.
"It is." Sora said. "And that's her mother." Sakura stared at Rapunzel's mother. She's not smiling or doesn't look relieved. In fact, she's smirking so she decided to investigate.
"Hey, Rapunz-" But before she could get her attention, she was interrupted by Marluxia who appeared out of a dark corridor.
"Show some decorum." He grinned. "The girl has found her dear mother.", said Marluxia. "You should let them be."
"And why is that?", asked Sora.
"Because Rapunzel is far too important." He answered. "She must remain out of sight and live out her days with Mother Gothel."
"And never see anyone else?", asked Goofy.
"But..." Ahsoka spoke. "That's like locking her up in some kind of prison."
"That's exactly what it is." Marluxia smirked. "Rapunzel's hair holds the powerful magic of healing. When she was a baby, mother Gothel kidnapped her and took her to her tower where she can never be found."
"I knew it!" Sakura pounded her fist. "I knew there was a reason why Rapunzel was stuck in that tower."
"Correct, young one." Marluxia. "You got it.", said Marluxia. "And, if Mother Gothel's actions will protect Rapunzel, preserve her...then she is doing the Organization a favor."
"What favor?", asked Sora.
"Let's say she's keeping Rapunzel on the shelf for us. An extra pawn in case you fail to find the remaining guardians of light, and we have occasion to call on other hearts of light instead. A New Seven Hearts to fill out the ranks."
"New seven hearts?" Naruto asked.
"Yes, Demon Fox." Marluxia said. "Seven lights who inherited the princess lights after their role was fulfilled." Hearing that gave Kairi a bewildered look. Did she lose her princess of heart powers? She doesn't feel it but right now, she's more worried about Rapunzel.
"So you don't care about her!" Sora angrily shouted. "You guys just want Rapunzels for your own purposes.
"Well now, you're done!" Naruto finished as he and Sora wielded their Keyblades. Marluxia scoffs at the heroes.
"I just knew you would go and make a scene. Very well, then. I can't have you lot interfering…"Marluxia extends a hand, blowing a pink wind toward Sora. He drops the
Keyblade, his eyes closed, and falls to the ground.
"Sora!" All of his friends exclaimed Kairi put his head on her lap.
"Sora, wake up!" She said while shaking him. Naruto eyes Marluxia who grins.
"Consider this, Demon Fox. You and Sora... have a connection."
"What do you mean by that?" He asked. He was about to jump on the Nobody but he disappeared before Naruto can hit him. Naruto clenched his fast in confusion and anger. He shakes it off and joins Kairi and the others to help wake Sora up.
Meanwhile, Rapunzel in her room in the tower was lying down sadly on her bed. She clutches a purple cloth while Pascal looks on. She stares up at the ceiling where many of her paintings are. Her eyes grow wider and she holds up the cloth where a golden sun is stitched into the fabric. Rapunzel looks back and forth from the cloth to the ceiling. She sits up to get a closer look, her eyes widening, and she gasps as she sees the exact same symbol etched into the paintings on the wall. Over and over and over again. They shine down at her, She sees it in her eye, the symbol of the royal family. Her mind flies to the mural in the city plaza with the baby with golden hair. She imagines placing the tiara on her head, her crown as the lost princess of Corona. Her realization hits her. Mother Gothel hears her bumping over her nightstand.
"Rapunzel?" Gothel asks but Rapunzel was too busy in her train of thought. Rapunzel walks out of her room panting.
"I'm the lost princess." She said quietly. Gothel scoffed.
"Speak up, Rapunzel. You know I hate the mumbling."
"I am the lost princess.", she said louder. "Aren't I?"
Gothel's face was filled with shock and her eyes widen. How did she find out?
"Did I mumble, mother?" Rapunzel glared. "Or should I even call you that?" Gothel laughed it off. Trying to convince Rapunzel to forget it.
"Rapunzel, do you even hear yourself? Why would you ask such ridiculous questions?"
Rapunzel, However angrily pushed Gothel back away from her, "It was you! It was all you!" Gothel glared at her fake daughter.
"Everything I did was to protect you." She said. Rapunzel didn't buy and pushed her out of the way as she walks downstairs.
Rapunzel pushed her way past Gothel and stormed down the stairs, "I've spent my entire life hiding from people who would use me for my power..."
"Rapunzel!" Gothel stormed after the girl down the stairs.
"...when I should have been hiding from you!"
"Where will you go? He won't be there for you."
"What did you do to him?"
"That criminal is to be hanged for his crimes. And your other friends... will share his fate in the darkness." She said referring to Sora, Kairi and the others.
Rapunzel gasped. "No." Gothel approaches the young princess.
"Now, now. Listen to me. Everything will be alright. Everything is as it should be." She was about to hug Rapunzel but she grabbed Gothel's wrist in anger, not taking any more of Gothel's emotional abuse as she squeezes it tightly.
"No! You were wrong about the world. And you were wrong about me... And I will never let you use my hair again!"
Rapunzel stumbled back at the hard tug from Gothel when she finally yanked and pulled her arm away from her. Upon falling, she tripped over a mirror, which toppled over and shattered, sending shards of glass scattering across the floor. Rapunzel walks away and hopes to save Eugene from being hung. Gothel stands back up and pants angrily while being surrounded by a dark aura.
"You want me to be the bad guy? Fine, now I'm the bad guy..." She menacingly approaches Rapunzel.
Naruto meanwhile is shaking Sora's body. He then slaps him so hard. Kairi held his hand. Donald and Goofy looks at him in worry. N
"Man, if that was me and they were trying to wake me... Sakura's strength would have done it." Naruto said in his thoughts. They hear Horse hooves clicking. They look up to see Eugene escaped from prison.
"Flynn?" Naruto said. Sakura puts her hand on her heart.
"Thank goodness you're okay." She said.
"Yeah, I escaped thanks to Maximus, but is Sora all right?"
"We don't know." Ahsoka said. "This guy in the black coat came and said that Gothel is leading Rapunzel back to her tower... she's not Rapunzel's mother."
"What?" Eugene said surprisingly.
"And he used his dark powers to knock off Sora." Sakura explained.
"Ugh... we gotta wake him up then save Rapunzel." Eugene said. "But first we gotta wake up Sora!"
"Sora!"
"Wake up!"
"Hmm… Unresponsive sidekick…", said Flynn.
Sora finds himself in a familiar spot. He sees that he's on top of a platform that depicted Naruto. He walks around in confusion. The last thing he remembers is confronting Marluxia now he's back in the Dive of the heart.
"Is this Naruto's heart?" Sora sees the platform of Sakura holding her heart. "What is going on?" He runs over to the end of the platform to find the stairs. He turns around and gasps. He sees a silhouette. He walks to get a closer look and sees a red-haired woman with violet eyes and a hair clip on the left side of her face. She was wearing a green obi over a short-sleeved mesh shirt with a pair of dark blue shorts and brown shinobi sandals. She gives the young a Keywielder a heartwarming smile that felt familiar to him.
"Hello, Sora." She warmly greeted. "It's been 16 years." This confused Sora.
"I'm sorry but do I know you?" The young woman giggled.
"Let's just say that... I knew your father."
"What, you knew my dad?"
"There's no time to talk. Your friends need you... Naruto needs you." Now Sora was even more confused.
"Why does Naruto need me? Doesn't he have Sakura?"
"Yes, and I like her but no time. You must stop Xehanort." She warned as she disappeared into the light.
Sora felt a lick on his face. His eyes suddenly start to open
"Get out of my face, Pluto..." He stops to realize that Maximus is licking him. He felt Kairi hug him.
"Sora, you're okay!" She said with relief.
"Huh... where is that lady.." Sora muttered. He shook his head as he realized he is back in the real world.
"Oh, No. Flynn. Rapunzel's being held prisoner."
"That's right. In her mother's tower.", said Flynn. "This calls for a rescue. Are you with me?" He asked as he offered his hand. "Are you with me?" Sora smiled and took his hand.
Flynn pulls Sora up onto the horse with a proud cackle. Naruto joins him while Donald jumps up onto Sora's shoulders and Goofy tags along on Maximus. Suddenly, they lose height and Maximus falls down with them falling off. Sakura and Kairi facepalm in embarrassment.
"Maybe we should run on foot?" Naruto said with his eyes dizzy.
"Yeah, Good idea." Sora agreed. They shook it off and jumps back up and followed Maximus on their way to rescue Rapunzel. As they reached the forest, they were surrounded by Nobodies. They all summoned their weapons.
"Flynn, we'll take care of these guys." Ahsoka said. "You go save Rapunzel."
"Right, thanks." He said as he runs back to the tower. he takes off with Maximus, leaving the Nobodies to them. As they follow along through the forest. Naruto crosses his fingers and uses clone jutus to kill some Heartless. Ahsoka twirls around and strikes the Heartless with her Keyblades against a Heartless. Naruto summoned three clones and kill all Big bodies and others.
"C'mon. Let's go help Flynn rescue Rapunzel!" Sora cried. Kairi and the others nodded and runs through the Heartless while slicing them to reach Rapunzel.
Eugene Finally made it to Rapunzel's tower. He hops off of Maximus and walks closer to the tower.
"Rapunzel?" He calls out. All he heard was silence. "Rapunzel, let down your long hair!" Again, no response. Rapunzel's long hair suddenly falls down from above. Eugene grabs it and climbs up the tower, then enters through the window. A second later, Rapunzel's hair flew out the window and fell past him. He grabbed it and hauled himself up into the tower.
"Oh, Rapunzel... I thought I would never see you..." But he stopped to see Rapunzel all tied up and gagged. He gives a confused look until he felt a blade stab his back. It was Gothel who gives him a cold hard glare.
"Now look what you've done, Rapunzel.", said Gothel in a mocking tone. "Oh don't worry dear, our secret will die with him!" she walked over to Rapunzel and grabbed her chains. "And as for us, we are going where no one will ever find you again!" Gothel yanked on the chains, dragging a struggling Rapunzel who desperately tried to get free.
"Rapunzel, REALLY! Enough already, STOP FIGHTING ME!" Gothel growls. Rapunzel's cloth gag came off.
"No! I won't stop! For every minute of the rest of my life, I will fight!" She defied "I will never stop trying to get away from you!" She said while panting. She then turns to a dying Eugene before turning back to her captor.
"But... if you let me save him, I will go with you."
"N- no, No Rapunzel." Eugene gasped while holding on to his gut.
"I'll never run, I'll never try to escape... Just let me heal him and you and I will be together forever, just like you want! Everything will be the way it was... Just let me health him!" She begged. Gothel gives her a cold glare before grabbing Eugene and putting him in chains.
"In case you get any ideas about following us!" Gothel snarled. Rapunzels walks up to him "Oh, I'm so sorry. Everything is gonna be okay, though." She said as she gathers her hair around him.
"No...Rapunzel…", said Flynn as he put his hand on her hair.
"I promise. You have to trust me."
"No! I can't let you do this."
"And I can't let you die." Rapunzel said while squeezing his hand. Eugene gives out a cough.
"But... if you do this then you will die." Rapunzel gives Eugene a sad smile.
"Hey, it's gonna be okay." She reassured. Eugene gives her a small grin.
"Rapunzel, wait..." Eugene said. He began to stroke her hair. She moves her face to his to prepare for a kiss but to her surprise. He grabbed a glass shard and uses it to cut Rapunzel's hair. He drops the glass while her hair turns brown. Rapunzel holds her hair in shock.
"Eugene, what...?" Gothel's eyes widen in fear that she is losing her once golden locks of hair to turn a deep brown. Mother Gothel tries to gather them up in her arms before the magic is lost.
"Oh no. No… What have you done?" The aging spreads across her body like a weed, her skin turning pale and her hair a pallid gray. She screams out in sudden shrieks, her body moving feebly, as she covers her decrepit face with her hood. She writhes about the room, crossing closer to the window, where Pascal pulls on the long bunch of hair, causing her to fall off the tower.
She screams as she falls, aging out of existence, the shroud flying down through the air as Sora, Naruto, and the others reach the base of the tower. Marluxia watches from the hill.
"Fallen to darkness…", he said. "We can't allow her near our pure light now. Her presence would only cast a pall over it."He motions with his arm, suspending the cloak in midair surrounded by petals of pink. An orb of darkness bursts forth and branch-like limbs erupt from within, followed by a tail. Another set of limbs and the creature crashes to the ground, the darkness pulling back, revealing a large tree-like Heartless. The monster growled at our heroes. They all prepared their weapons.
"What happened up there?" Sora asked.
"I don't know..." Ahsoka said. "But we have to stop the Heartless!" The Heartless flies toward them, its tail moving like a serpent, as its large mane of leaves crashes to the ground, sending pollen everywhere. It swings at the party with its four arms. It can also spawn propellers on its wrists and charge at Sora, as well as pound the ground with its head, kicking up pollen that inflicts the Sneeze status ailment. Sora jumped on her and gives it a couple of hits. It then launched bombs into the air and landed near everyone. Naruto grabs Sora and shouted "Shadow Clone Jutsu!" And Clones of Sora and Naruto reflected bombs. Ahsoka force pushes some bombs and shoots them at the Heartless.
She then does a spin attack at the vines while Sakura Shot at the limbs, and Kairi fires projectiles at the Creature. She then sees one of the vines sneaking behind Sakura. Quickly she summersaults and lunges at the limbs. Kairi's power became stronger and it powered up an attraction. She summoned the Blaster blades as Ahsoka and Sakura joined her and shot at the tree. The Heartless then traps them with her vines. Kairi and Ahsoka team up and do a spin attack on the vines, cutting them off and freeing Sora and the others giving it one final attack. The Heartless disappeared into the darkness. Once it was defeated, Sora and the others climbed up the ladder.
Rapunzel clutches to Eugene, trying to revive him.
"No! Look at me! Look at me, I'm right here. Don't go! Stay with me, Eugene!" She said with tears. She was trying to use her hair to save him... she didn't notice Sora, Kairi and the others made it to the top and enter the tower.
"Flower gleam and glow...Let your power shine...Make the clock reverse, Bring back what once was mine..." But it wasn't working.
"Rapunzel!" Flynn wheezed to get her attention.
"What?" Sniffed.
"You were my new dream." Eugene said.
Rapunzel felt more tears well up in her eyes. "And you were mine." She said sobbing. With that, Eugene drew his last breath. Kairi started to tear up and cry on Sora's shoulder Sakura not knowingly was sniffing before bawling her eyes. Naruto held her hand. Donald and Goofy put their head down in sadness while Ahsoka wiped her tears. They heard Rapunzel singing...
Heal what has been hurt. Change the Fates' design. Save what has been lost. Bring back what once was mine, what once was mine." A tear dropped on Eugene's face. Light bursts forth from Flynn's wound as it turns into a flower, surprising Sora and the others. When the flower faded... so did Eugene's wound. Rapunzel looks closer to his face and sees his eyes blink...
"Rapunzel..." He mumhured. Rapunzel lets out a happy gasp.
"Eugene..."
"Did I ever tell you; I've got a thing for brunettes?" Eugene quipped.
"Eugene!" She throws her arms around him and he leans on his side to embrace her. She pulls away and laughs then kisses his lips which he returned. The heroes look in amazement. Sakura hugged Naruto in celebration.
"How did that happen?" Ahsoka asked in confusion.
"It must have been Rapunzel's tear." Kairi explained. "It must've revived him." Ahsoka looks down in disbelief. Then she remembered Rapunzel must be full of magic. She then puts her thumb on her chin.
The gang made it to the castle, and they confirmed to the guard that they found the lost Princess. At first, he was hesitant but he took a closer look at Rapunzel and sees that she looks similar to the queen. They took a good look at the guard who simply nodded. The Couple looked at each other before they head out of the balcony. Rapunzel twirls her hands in nervously. She feels a hand holding her left hand. She looked up to see Eugene giving her a reassuring smile. She feels another hand pat the right side of her back. She sees Kairi, Sakura, and the others smiling at her. The door opened and it revealed the King and Queen. They stood there silently until the Queen moved to Rapunzel's side and touches her cheek. Her Motherly instincts tell her that she is indeed her daughter. She lets out a smile and embraces her long-lost daughter. The king joined them with a smile and chuckle. The Queen takes a motion for Euguene and the others to join them. Eugene takes it and was surprised that she pulled them. Sora looked at the others and he shrugs and joins the reunited family.
Later on after the reunion, The king and Queen pardoned Eugene for his crimes and then invited the heroes to their throne room.
"Thus for bringing our daughter back and stopping those horrible creatures from destroying this kingdom and the village, I hereby give you medals as a token of gratitude." The king declared as the queen put the medals around the heroes' necks.
"Thank you for returning our daughter to us." The Queen said. "You are worthy to be called heroes.
"No problem, your majesty but we are happier that Rapunzel is reunited with her parents." Sora said. The whole family smiled.
"You are welcomed to stay for our ceremony." The king offered.
"Thanks for the offer, your majesty..." Sora began.
"But we need to continue on our journey." Naruto finished.
"Aw... you're leaving?" Asked Rapunzel sadly.
"Yeah. We can't let the Heartless destroy other worlds." Ahsoka said. Rapunzel puts her head down. Sakura smiled and puts her hand on her shoulder.
"Hey, chin up. We'll be back to visit." She reassured.
"You will?" She asked while wiping a tear. Sakura nodded.
"Yeah..." Donald agreed. "Now no sad face." Rapunzel giggled and hugged the rest of her friends.
"Okay..." Hope to see you sometime!" Sora nodded. He turns to the formerly known as Flynn Rider.
"Flynn... I mean Eugene. Look after her." Eugene gives him a thumbs up.
"You got it. Take care, my sidekicks!" He said. Sora and Naruto laughed in embarrassment. After saying their goodbyes, The heroes walked into the flower fields. They see their gummi ship.
"Well... I guess we better head out to another world." He turned to Kairi. "For a novice Keybearer, you sure did great Kairi" He smiled with his hands behind his head. This made Kairi blush.
"I-I did?"
"Yep." Sakura said as she pat on the back. "If it weren't for you, That vine would have strangled me. You saved me Kairi. I owe you one." Kairi felt touched by the praise she's receiving. She turns to Sora.
"All right, then..." Kairi looked over at Sora and gives him a hug. "When I see you again, Sora... I will become even stronger."
Yep. That is the final chapter. Sorry that it took so long. I was having writer's block but now I am back and I promise the next chapter is coming soon. This time we will see the girls go see a certain spy who can do anything... It's Kim Possible and it's based on "So the drama." This will be the only Disney channel world but I will have other Disney animated series characters soon and they will have an arc. Well, Good night and hope you have a good time.
