Young Justice: Rise of the Black Knight
…
Chapter 4: Total Knock Out
After the initial surprise at the speed which the ship flew, Aegon managed to sit back in his seat and enjoy the view the cockpit window afforded him. Almost everything was a blur as the Waverider flew through the air at speeds that even the Targaryen dragons when they once flew the skies of Planetos couldn't even hope to reach. But aside from that, the trip was relatively boring; Aegon had hoped that there was at least an open window to feel the air rushing over his face, but he imagined that the speed which they were flying at would likely throw him on his back.
The sky then grew overcast as clouds seemed to obscure the sun's rays from shining down on the earth below and the Waverider itself began to slow down and descend towards the earth and Aegon then the gleaming buildings come into view.
"We've arrived?" the young knight asked Captain Hunter who nodded before climbing out of his seat saying, "We have. We'll disembark and make our way to the Boom-Boom Room," he said and he looked at Aegon and told him, "Now if anyone asks any questions, you are my step-son and I've decided to take you out to a strip club as a form of bonding or an early birthday present. Do you have a problem with that?" he asked.
Aegon shook his head in response which made Captain Hunter nod in satisfaction before speaking to Gideon. "Gideon. Keep the engines running. We may need a quick getaway, but I'd rather avoid that if we could," the man said to the AI who replied in her smooth voice, "Acknowledged, Captain Hunter and good luck to you both."
"C'mon, time to get going," Rip then said to Aegon who nodded before following the man off the ship, realising the ship had parked itself in a practically deserted yard. The rancid stench of decaying refuse hit Aegon's nose making him scrunch his face in disgust and discomfort.
"Gods! For such a modern world, you'd think they'd clean their cities better," the young knight said sourly as he put a hand up to cover his nose, fighting the urge to gag at the putrid smell.
"It's not as bad some places I've been to. Believe you me," Rip told him as he pulled out a small remote from his pocket and pressed on it. With a rippling shimmer, the Waverider concealed itself from view.
"Where's the ship gone?" Aegon asked.
"It's still here, but I don't want any nosy passers-by taking a gander at the ship and trying to get on board," Rip replied before he then set off at a brisk walk. "C'mon. If we hurry, we may just beat the line-up," he said to Aegon who quickly followed him.
After ten minutes of walking the streets, they came to what Aegon could only guess was the seedier part of Gotham. Not that was saying much to begin with, Aegon thought to himself privately as his first impression of Gotham when he first found himself in the city told him that the city was seedy all over and not just in appearance.
As Aegon walked beside Captain Hunter along the dirty streets, they passed by many denizens who looked to be on the lower end of the scale, or even completely off it. Aegon's hand twitched, almost going to the hilt of his glamoured sword as some of the citizens appeared to size him up.
Captain Hunter appeared to notice Aegon's tense stance and said to him, "Stay calm. Don't make any sudden moves and walk with confidence, that way no-one will look twice at you." Nodding in understanding, Aegon then walked with an air of confidence and self-assurance, or at least what he felt portrayed that image.
Not long after, Aegon and Captain Hunter came to a building where a bright flashing neong sign hung above the double doorway. The sign read: The Boom-Boom Room along with a pair of round balls with lit wicks in them.
"This is it?" Aegon asked looking at Captain Hunter who nodded and replied, "This is where we'll find our first recruit. She should be on stage in the next ten minutes."
"How do you know this? Have you been here before?" Aegon asked dryly.
Captain Hunter gave a grin and said, "Purely scouting for Miss Oak. Nothing more than that."
"Right," Aegon muttered as they made their to the entrance of the building where a large bald-headed man wearing a black sleeveless shirt, trousers and boots, his thick arms folded over his barrelled chest and an all too serious expression on his face stopped them.
"ID?" the bouncer simply said.
Aegon brought out his driver's license as did Captain Hunter. The bouncer scrutinised the information on the cards, as though he were trying to detect some kind of forgery. With a grunt, the bouncer nodded and allowed them to pass through the doors.
Aegon's ears were then assailed by the thunderous beat of music being played to an absurdly high volume that boomed out like drums or thunder. If he had to guess, Aegon thought that the music may have been the establishment was called the Boom-Boom Room, for the music that was being played was certainly loud enough.
Captain Hunter then led Aegon over to a table with a pair of seats right near the stage. "Just in time," Rip then said to Aegon. "Miss Oak will be on next," he informed him.
"And how are we to get her attention? Much less recruit her for what you're planning?" Aegon enquired.
"Easy enough; we'll get her to give you a private dance," Captain Hunter answered.
With a blush spreading across his face, Aegon opened his mouth to ask a question or protest when the club DJ spoke into the loudspeakers.
"Gentlemen, put your hands together for this next act; she's everything you could want in a woman, she's drop-dead gorgeous, she's~… Knockout!"
With music blaring out over the speakers, the new dancer strutted out onto the stage as though she owned it and Aegon was a little wide-eyed at the sight of her. The picture really didn't do her justice; her face was gorgeously youthful, with neither plumpness nor the ravages of time on her freckled face. A mane of thick, full and voluminous red hair cascaded down her shoulders, so long that Aegon wagered it would reach the small of her back. Her looked both athletic and voluptuous with wide curvy hips well suited for bearing children and full heavy looking breasts that could nurse any hungry child. Her legs were long almost never ending clad in deep green high heeled boots reaching to her upper thighs that looked thick with muscle. And her arms looked strong and healthy with corded muscle beneath the soft looking skin. Her outfit was nothing short of scandalous that barely concealed her indecency but still hinted at the carnal pleasure one would get if they looked intently enough.
"That's her?" Aegon asked Captain Hunter weakly his eyes glued to the dancer as she began her routine.
"That's her," Captain Hunter confirmed as he made a passing order to a scantily clad waitress.
Aegon had to fight the urge to blush as he swore the dancer on stage looked directly at him and snapped him a flirty wink and a lick of her bottom lip as she gyrated her delectable body as she hooked a leg around the metal pole set in the middle of short runway that speared through the middle of the room. Forcing himself to look at Rip and not the dancer, Aegon asked the man, "Are you sure a dancer can help us?"
"I'm positive, Ser Aegon," Rip told him. "Eyes up. She's coming towards you," he warned.
Aegon reluctantly focussed back on the stage and was met face to face, or rather, face to bosom forcing him to crane his neck upwards to looked into the amused gaze of the dancer.
"Hey, cutie. Your first time here?" the dancer asked him with an impish grin on her full lips.
Aegon was lost for words as he could barely focus on making a coherent response which seemed to amuse the dancer who giggled uproariously and say, "Definitely your first time here." Her expression became more seductive and kittenish as she declared, "I like breaking in first timers. So much to teach them."
"Err…" was all Aegon could muster as a response and Captain Hunter took over.
"My step-son. Wanted to give him an early birthday present this year. Thought this would be a good way to do it," the man explained to the dancer who nodded sagely in understanding.
"I see, I see. Wanna foot the bill for your boy's first time?" she asked.
"Happy to," Captain Hunter replied with a smile and he looked at Aegon and asked him, "Any objections, son?"
Aegon looked at the dancer and Captain Hunter bewildered. If Lord Jon knew what was happening right now, then Aegon had no doubt that the exiled Lord of Griffin's Roost would drag him out by his ear and tan his hide so hard he wouldn't sit straight for a whole year. Contrarily, Rolly would probably roar with laughter and egg him on, encouraging to accept a private dance from such a woman.
"I suppose not?" Aegon managed to offer hesitantly and the dancer got off stage, took him by the hand and led him over to a private booth, complete with a door. It was then Aegon realised just how much taller the dancer was then him; she towered over him by a good three or four feet in height. He was then sat down in the comfortable black leather chair and the noise of the club was silenced as the door closed blocking out the noise.
"A few rules before we start, cutie," the dancer purred out to him, a kittenish smile on her lips. "You are not to move from the chair until the dance is over. No touching unless I say you can, this a look but don't touch show," she said to him.
"U-U-Understood," Aegon stuttered out, his body shaking with the sudden influx of hormones and nerves that threatened to overwhelm him. He hated to admit it, but he was a virgin boy as he was expected to marry either his aunt or the daughter of some highborn Westerosi lord to secure an alliance and further the family line. Yet all that seemed like a distant thing as a thumping yet sensual beat filled the room as the dancer slowly strutted toward him.
Aegon gripped the armrests of the chair tightly, hoping that such an act would prevent him from touching the woman before him. Slowly and sensually, the dancer shimmied to the beat of the thumping music that reverberated in the room. Aegon felt the blood rush from his head southwards and his pants felt uncomfortably tight as his Dragon liked what was happening right now.
Running her fingers over barely concealed breasts, the tips hooking on the hemline and pulled them aside slightly, the dancer had a wicked grin on her face as Aegon barely managed to conceal the gasp of surprise as her nipples were teasingly shown to him. Removing her fingers, covering her indecency, much to Aegon's strangled noise of protest, the entertainer moved forward and straddled him. Aegon almost released his grip on the armrests of his chair to grab the dancer's hips and thighs, but it was either sheer luck or self-control that he didn't act on such a primitive urge.
Spinning around so that her back was facing him, the dancer then gyrated lovely bottom against the young knight's groin making him groan, desperate for release. Looking over her shoulder with a wide grin on her lips, the dancer continued what she was doing to her client, clearly enjoying the wild, desperate and yearning look in his eyes. Arching her back, the entertainer rested to the crook of her neck and shoulder under Aegon's chin allowing him to smell her perfume.
Between the scent of the perfume, the thumping beat of the song playing and the beauty of the woman nestling her posterior on his manhood, it was Aegon could do to not rip his clothes off, beat his chest and rut like some mindless animal with the woman before him.
"Enjoying yourself?" the dancer asked teasingly.
"Yes!" Aegon managed to reply.
"Good~," the dancer purred out sensually as her hands looped around to undo the clip of her brassiere, revealing her breasts before slowly turning around allowing Aegon to get an eyeful before she pressed his face into her bosom.
Aegon was lost in a deep fog as his face thrust in the valley of the dancer's cleavage. Gods, he was so hard right now, so hard he feared he might burst his dam if this woman showed him any more of her form.
Then the song ended, fading out and the dancer stood to her feet, a grin plastered on her face. "Shame. Wanted to keep going with this, but it's how it goes," she said regretfully and Aegon was left panting and wanting more, but he reluctantly got up from his chair, his body still jittery from the near sexual high he had experienced and made to leave the room, but not before the dancer stopped him and whispered sensually into his ear. "If you want more than what I gave you, then meet out the back in ten minutes." With a playful nip to his ear that left Aegon shivering with almost undisguised lust, the dancer left the room and after calming himself down, Aegon exited the room as well.
…
After exiting the room, the young knight found Captain Hunter sitting over by the bar, chatting to the bartender although with the music of the club blaring out so loudly, Aegon couldn't even hear what Captain Hunter was saying.
Weaving his way through the throng of tables, patrons, dancers and waitresses, Aegon found an empty seat beside Rip who looked at him with a grin on his bearded lips and asked, "How did it go?"
"It… was something," Aegon admitted, his hormones still shaking with the pent-up arousal that burned inside him, begging for release. "She offered to show more if I meet her out the back," he then said.
"Perfect," Captain Hunter said with a clap of his hands. "It's all coming together now," he added.
"How do you imagine that?" Aegon asked in confusion.
"Trust me on this," Rip said. "You'll soon see the capabilities of Miss Oak and then we'll bring her into the fold," he explained.
"Are you sure? She mightn't be receptive to whatever it is you're planning. And you haven't even told me what it is you're planning," Aegon replied.
"I know. But I promise to reveal all when we have our recruits all together," Rip said. "And it's almost ten minutes. Time for your little rendezvous with Miss Oak," he added with a conspiratorial grin.
Reluctantly, Aegon rose from his seat and was given directions of where to go out back for his meeting with Miss Oak.
Making his way out to the back of the building, Aegon found Miss Oak leaning against the wall of the building, smoking a cigarette pinched between her lips. Seeing Aegon standing there, observing her, a wide grin stretched across the dancer's gorgeous face as she took one last swig of her cigarette before tossing it away.
"Didn't you think you'd take up my offer, cutie," Miss Oak said to Aegon who blushed furiously but managed to give out a reply.
"I could hardly refuse."
"Good, because I hate being refused." Miss Oak slowly approached the young knight who had to fight the urge to shy away. Seeing his nervousness, Miss Oak smiled disarmingly and said to him, "Relax, handsome. I don't bite… hard." With a chew of her bottom lip, the dancer stood right in Aegon's personal space, towering over him, his face directly in her bosom.
On one hand, some hormonal part of Aegon wanted to give into this woman's seductions and finally be able to call himself a man and not a virgin. But another, albeit, smaller part of Aegon reminded him of what Lord Jon would think of this.
His hormones winning the argument, Aegon placed his hands on Miss Oak's wide curvy hips and his fingers dug into her fine delectable rump. Gods, she felt magnificent under his fingers; she was soft and solid at the same time, like rose petals and silk covering hard iron.
"Ready for me to show you how it's done?" Miss Oak asked him coyly.
As Aegon opened his mouth to reply, a thundering boom interrupted him and there was a bright flash of light and Aegon and Miss Oak looked to see a trio of women standing before them.
The first woman was a tall platinum blonde haired woman wearing revealing ivory armour and held a pair of sharp looking scimitars in her hands. The next woman had dark hair done in a high ponytail and wore a series of horizontal straps all across her body and a long black whip was grasped in her hand. The final female was crouched low like some kind of beast with near stark yellow skin, vivid green hair, whited eyes and a fang filled grin framed by scarlet lips.
The scimitar wielding woman looked at Miss Oak and spoke, "Knockout! Did you really think you could leave the Almighty Darkseid so easily?" she demanded angrily, her beautiful face contorted into a scowl.
"Considering how Barda left, Guillotina, I figured I had a shot at it too," Miss Oak AKA Knockout replied flippantly as she released her hold on Aegon and stood before the three women defiantly placing her hands on her hips.
"Then you and Barda are both fools!" the whip wielder rebuked harshly. "None can leave Darkseid's Honor Guard alive! Only death can release you from service!" she declared with an almost fanatical smile on her lips.
Knockout looked at Aegon and said to him, "You better run, pup. This is gonna get messy!" A wide grin was on her lips as she said this.
Having a feeling that Captain Hunter might object to him leaving a potential recruit to die, Aegon sighed before pulling his sword from his back, mentally commanding the glamour to dissipate, revealing the dark smoky blade of Valyrian steel. Knockout raised an eyebrow at this and remarked, "Huh, so it's not for show? I knew I liked you for a reason, pup." A saucy grin was on Knockout's face as she palmed a fist, cracking her knuckles in anticipation as she looked at the three women and said to them, "So, what was that about me not leaving the Honor Guard?" Her tone was conversational with an underlying threat to it.
The grinning woman cackled like a hyena and said, "Make you bleed, Knockout! Make you wish you died!" She then launched herself at Miss Oak who met her lunge with an uppercut, while Guillotina whirled her scimitars in a figure eight motion and advanced towards Aegon.
It was clear to the young knight that this Guillotina was very well trained, perhaps better trained them and if her age indicated anything, she was likely more experienced as well and had been doing this for longer. But never one to back down from a foe, Aegon held his sword in a ready position, focussing on the foe before him.
"Aw, aren't you cute?" Guillotina commented coyly. "A little knight in shining armour protecting a whore," she mocked coldly.
"Are you going to briar me with insults all day? Or are we going to fight?" Aegon deadpanned.
Guillotina gave a sneering grin before dashing towards the young knight who blinked in surprise as she suddenly appeared in front of him. He barely got his sword up in time to blocked a downward strike and the force of the blow sent vibrations all along his sword and into his arm making the limb shake and his teeth chattered. Gritting his teeth together to stop them chattering, Aegon attempted to push the blade of his foe's weapon off his own. Keyword here being attempted. Guillotina seemed to laugh at the young knight's futile attempt at pushing her off him and she pressed harder, all with one arm.
Switching tactics, Aegon slid between the woman's legs and swung his own legs in an attempt to trip his foe up. But with seemingly natural ease, Guillotina smoothly hopped over the knight's limbs and prepared to stab her swords down onto Aegon. His eyes wide with panic, Aegon rolled to the side as the sharp serrated blades of the scimitars pierced the worn and dirty asphalt ground. Swinging out blindly with his sword, Aegon was rewarded with a yowl of surprise and pain, surprise being more evident as Guillotina looked at the small scratch on her outer thigh and she glared hatefully at the young knight who grinned despite himself, pleased to have landed the first wound however small it was.
"A scratch," Guillotina sneered dismissively. "Let me return the favour!" she spat as she swung her swords at Aegon who hurried crawled away on his back as the razor sharp edges of the blades carved deep furrows into the ground and it was sheer luck Aegon kept his feet, legs and body in general away from those absurdly keen scimitars. Then something wrapped itself around the knight's throat and tightened painfully enough to make him choke and he glanced to see the whip wielder with a grin on her face, the lash of her whip having wrapped itself around his neck.
Stars dancing in the corners of his eyes, Aegon struggled to draw breath as he tried to remove the cord that tightened ever more painfully around his throat. Guillotina gave an evil leer as she prepared to spear her sword into Aegon's chest. Then something was hurled bodily into the platinum haired woman, bowling her over. The whip wielder looked to see Knockout dusting off her hands, a few small scratches on her exposed areas and her lingerie was slightly torn but otherwise she was no worse for wear.
Then a loud whining bang broke out and the whip was shot from the woman's grasp, Clutching her now bleeding hand, she and everyone looked to see Captain Hunter standing there with a revolver in his grasp.
Removing the lash from his throat and giving a spluttering cough, Aegon wheezed out, "You took your time!"
"Apologies. Needed things to play out," Rip said apologetically before he looked at the whip wielder who glared at him spitefully. "You're outnumbered. I'd hightail it back to wherever you came from and hope your master is lenient with you," the captain advised her.
The woman glared angrily at Captain Hunter who stared back unperturbed. She then grabbed her comrades as another portal opened but not before looking over her shoulder and saying to Knockout, "This won't be the last you see of us, Knockout! More will come!" With that lingering threat, the whip wielder departed with her comrades.
Once the threat was gone, Captain Hunter holstered his weapon and helped Aegon to his feet. "Are you alright?" he asked the young knight who rubbed his sore throat and nodded.
Miss Oak then looked at Captain Hunter and Aegon for a moment and said to them, "Okay. What's going on here? Was this set-up cooked up by you two?" she asked.
"Believe me, Knockout, my companion and I prevented you from being dragged back to your former master broken and bloodied," Captain Hunter said mysteriously.
"And what would you know about my former master?" Knockout said condescendingly. Rip beckoned her over to him and she walked over and leaned down to which the captain then whispered in her, though what he said to her was unheard by Aegon. A pale, grim and shaken looking expression was on Knockout's face after Rip whispered whatever it was he knew into her ear and she stood up straight.
"Okay, you're well-informed, I'll give a bug like you that much credit," the dancer then said with an air of bravado but it was clear to Aegon that she was a little shaken given how pale her face looked which made her freckles stand out more. "Still don't get what this has to do with me," she then added.
"I'm putting together a team of unique individuals for impossible missions to faraway places and you're one of the potential recruits I want on this team," Rip told her.
"What's in it for me?" Knockout asked in a business-like tone of voice a she folded her arms over her chest in a defensive position.
"Well, join this team of mine and I can help make certain that your former employer won't bother you ever again," Rip offered.
Knockout raised an eyebrow at this before she glanced at Aegon who shrugged and said to her, "I too am a recruit for this team Captain Hunter is building and he hasn't said too much on what it is he plans on doing."
Knockout gave a dry "Uh-huh," before giving a smile and said to Rip, "Alright, I'll take you up on this gig. I got a few conditions and wanna see the rest of this team first before deciding anything."
"Of course, Miss Oak," Captain Hunter said politely. "We still have some others to recruit for this endeavour first before I can tell you anything though," he added.
"Right…" Knockout licked her bottom lip before she looked at Aegon and said to him, "I believe we were in the middle of something?" That wicked kittenish expression was on her face again and it was clear to the young knight that Miss Oak AKA Knockout wanted to resume what they had almost been about to do.
"What? Right now? After fighting those… former comrades of yours?" Aegon asked weakly.
"Yeah, nothing gets me in the mood then after being in a fight!" a devilish smirk was on Miss Oak's lips as she looked about ready to pounce like a lion would a gazelle.
"Can I call for an adult?" Aegon asked in a small voice.
"Ser Aegon is right. We're on a schedule here, and doubtless your former comrades arrival will have alerted some nosey people," Captain Hunter coming to Aegon's rescue.
"Well, I can't exactly pack up and leave," Knockout replied.
"Already taken care of," Captain Hunter said easily as he pulled out a small remote and pressed a button on and shimmering into view was the Waverider. The hatch door opened and Rip stepped onto it before he looked at Aegon and Knockout and asked, "Coming or what?"
Knockout looked at Aegon who nodded at her. With a non-committal shrug of her broad shoulders, Knockout entered the Waverider with Aegon following after her. Once the hatch door closed, the Waverider turned on the spot before ascending into the dark cloudy sky before rocketing off into the atmosphere to another destination.
TO BE CONTINUED…
A/N: There! After a long wait, I finally updated this! I apologise for the wait, but other projects got in the way as well as real life things such as catching Covid. It's nothing life-threatening, Covid that is, just a sore scratchy throat, blocked runny nose and occasional bouts of coughing, but other than that, I'm fine. I've had three vaccinations in the past couple of years since Covid hit and I've been putting off getting the fourth shot, but it'll have to wait now that I currently have Covid at the time of this chapter.
Moving along.
This chapter we've seen the introduction of Knockout in the Young Justice universe, or at least my poor interpretation of her. I know that the Female Furies show up much later in the canon and Barda is still very much loyal to Darkseid, but hey, this is fanfiction, I can do what I like.
For the next recruit of Rip Hunter's own Team, I'm thinking either Rose Wilson AKA Ravager the daughter of Deathstroke, or Roxanne Sutton AKA Roxy Rocket. Rose could be fighting in cage matches for drinking money in some scummy dive bar somewhere in Asia and Roxy could be in the midst of committing a bank robbery in her usual thrill seeking way. Depends on my mood. I might even cram both of them into the next chapter which would make it longer than the previous chapters. We'll see how we go.
In other news, I've finally gotten around to writing and publishing my Highschool of the dead/Elder Scrolls crossover and I've reopened the poll regarding. It's not a romance poll, I've got the pairings figured out in my head, but rather the poll is which Fallout game/story should be the setting and thus far, Fallout New Vegas seems to be the most popular choice, which I'm okay with, but as good as New Vegas, maybe it would be nice to see some other Fallout game get the spotlight for a change, yeah?
Anyways, not much more to say, so I'll leave this here and see you all in the next one.
Be kind to one another,
Angry lil' elf.
