Let me be honest, One Piece doesn't belong to me. Neither do five out of the seven gamer systems in this fanfic.
I'm gonna try to write from a third person perspective.
Future me: After writing the chapter I realized how hard it is to stop using I for someone who's supposed to be me. Writing third person is easy but when the character shares a similar name it's hard as hell. I'd rather right in first person but if y'all prefer third person let me know.

Out on the ocean.
Jay was walking backwards, looking back at Kura. "Hey Kura, what did you do back on earth? How did you die?"
Kura sighed. "Honestly not a great story, it was that fucking truck!"
Jay erupted into laughter. "Yo you got the most uninteresting death in anime. Cliche death having ass."
"Yea just laugh about someone dying, you're such a great guy! How did you die?!" She asked angrily.
Jay cast his eyes down in misery. "Let's not talk about it."
"Huh?! Jay either you're gonna tell me, or I'm burning you." She threatened.
"Well I mean, we're literally out on open water."
A fire lit in her hands. "Try me."
Jay began to sweat and ultimately gave up. "It was an airplane, it crashed into my housing complex while I was playing Overwatch."
Kura gasped. "How the hell did you get so unlucky, what kind of vendetta does god have against you."
His shoulders sagged and he began wallowing in his shame. "Let's just keep walking."
Kura pat Jay on his back, trying to cheer him up as Orange town came into sight.
On the island.
"Get back here! Give that chart back, you damn woman thief!" The young woman was being chased by a small group of pirates.
Kura and Jay had seen the commotion from afar and looked at each other. "Should we help her, or do we wait for Luffy?" Kura asked.
"Let's go beat on these randoms, it'll improve my mood." Jay decided.
The two headed to the roofs and dropped down on the pirates from above, knocking them out.

"Well that was easier than it should've been." Kura sighed.
"Not much to expect from level 10s." I told her.
"Yea but we're level 10 too." She argued.

'Hey Kura, did you see those bullshit skills?' Jay asked over the party chat.
'Luffy's? Yea, though his Charisma being maxed doesn't make sense. Probably a SS rank ability. It says the condition to copy a skill is to join his crew.'
'Guess that means we'll have to make sure we get in. How else are we gonna level up quickly?'
Kura laughed inwardly. 'Time to get carried by a Level 50.'

On the other side of the island in a white carnival-like building a man sat with a frown on his face. "They still haven't caught that thief?!" The red nosed pirate asked.
A black haired woman took a step forward. "They should be pursuing her as we speak."
"How did the map get stolen so easily in the first place?! Huh?!" Buggy asked. "Just when we were about to enter the Grand Line and go on a rampage."
The woman glared at Buggy. "That is completely your fault, Buggy! If you just allowed me to keep it in my inventory, we wouldn't have this problem!"
"What did you say?!" Buggy asked threateningly. "How am I supposed to trust some bullshit system that doesn't even like its host?!"
"Oh please, that little glare and question shit doesn't work on me. Try it with one of your other cronies." She replied.
"God damn it! Shade! Are you trying to undermine my authority?! Do you wanna be Captain?!"
Shade laughed. "I'm sorry but being Captain looks like a lot of unnecessary work. I'd rather spend my time sleeping. I'm sure you'll be a great captain."
"Don't talk that future talk in front of me." Buggy growled. "I don't wanna hear any flashy spoilers, just keep me out of trouble when it comes."
Shade nodded. "I understand, though honestly you should be a bit more careful. If there are any good natured idiots in this world, then the girl that's being chased is just gonna cause us trouble."
Buggy just waved it off. "It'll be fine. We just gotta flashily destroy those 'good natured idiots'. Make sure you retrieve the map."
Shade nodded before leaving the tent and addressing the crew members. "You all heard the man. See that you retrieve the map, otherwise you might just die."
The surrounding pirates saluted. "Yes mam!"
In a house downtown.
Luffy was busy stuffing his face with all the edible things around him. "Do you live alone in this house?" He asked.
"I don't live in this town." Nami told him. "Everyone here ran away because of Buggy, it's only gotten worse since the arrival of Shade."
"If this isn't your house, that makes you a thief. More importantly, who's that Shade guy?" Jay asked.
Nami glared at me for the thief remark before returning back to her story. "Ringmaster Shade, she's quite often mistaken for a guy based on the name. She's said to be on the same level as Buggy, however if you can remove her weapon, then she's weak enough to lose to a child. They call her the ring master since she can be seen introducing new acts for the crew to participate in."
Kura looked over at Jay. 'So we got a random already?' She said through the voice chat. 'Think it's one of the other players?'
'It has to be, there's seven of us. There's no way one of them wouldn't join Buggy. Likely one in the marines as well.' Jay responded.
"That isn't all though." Nami continued. "They picked up a new crew member recently. I guess the easiest way to describe him is a heartless idiot that doesn't have the eyes to choose the right side."
"Any reason you turned to theft?" Kura asked. "Seems like a pirate thing to do."
"I'm not a pirate!" She shouted. "My goal is to earn 100 million Berries, no matter what it takes."
"If you were ever caught by Marines, you would've automatically become a pirate." Jay told her. "You said you need 100,000,000, I can offer you a quarter of that In exchange for a deal."
"You're telling me, that you have 25 million to just give away?" She asked, shocked.
"Nah, I really don't. It's my whole life savings. Though I'm in need of a navigator, join me and the money is yours." Jay offered. "I heard you're the best of the four blues."
"Huh?!" Luffy shouted. "If she's that good, she's mine. I need a navigator too."
Nami turned to Luffy. "I'm sorry but I can't be a pirate, I'll join you Jay."
"Um I think you got something wrong here." Jay told them. "I'm a pirate as well, well not yet, but I would like to join you Luffy. Both me and Kura."
"What?!" Nami yelled. "Why? What's so great about being a pirate?"
Luffy smiled widely. "You're in! You can join my crew Jay, though only if you have a dream."
Jay thought about it for a couple of moments before smiling. "There's only one dream that I've ever had, I want to see the king of the pirates obtain the One piece. After that, I only wish for a peaceful life."
"Then you've come to the right guy, I'm gonna be King of the Pirates!" He declared.
"Freedom." Kura whispered to Nami. "Obtaining that freedom is what's great about being a pirate, most people just go about it the wrong way."
Nami gave in. "Alright, I'll join, but only if we leave to save my island immediately."
"There's still a clown to deal with, but afterwards we can head there. If that's alright with Luffy."
"Hmm, if Jay says we should go, then I'll go!" He cheered happily.
"We're gonna need to come up with a plan to deal with him. With the new crew mates he has, we can't be too careful."
"Let's just go in and beat them all up." Luffy suggested.
We all looked at him in a mix of shock and disappointment. "Leave the strategy up to me, it's much better for me to do it than Luffy." Jay said.
Nami nodded. "If we leave the plan up to this idiot, we're all gonna die. Just met the guy and I can already tell he's going to cause me plenty of headaches in the future."
Luffy looked confused. "What do you mean?"
"Nothing Luffy." Kura laughed.
"Alright, so here's the plan." The others gathered around as Jay came up with an idea.
"What?!" Buggy shouted. "The thief got away?!"
The three men began cowering in fear. "Please forgive us, Captain!"
"All three of you are pathetic! Die flashily!" Buggy's hand detached from his body soaring at the three as Shade appeared with a snake wrapping around one of their necks.
"Captain Buggy!" A man who kinda looked like a small monkey came running up to stand in front of his Captain.
(Yo this is not meant to sound racist. His name will be Popo from now on. Which could also be seen as racist because dragon ball, but y'all will get over it.)
"What is it?!" Buggy asked, annoyed.
"That thief from earlier and her Captain has been captured by some girl who wanted to meet you." He told him.
"What?! Shade!" Buggy called.
Shade turned to him and shook her head. "No idea captain, besides if I did know, why would I give you any spoilers?"
From the mist, a woman approached. Her eyes were red with long dark hair that reached down to her waist. The look on her face was that of cold confidence. 'Who is she?' Shade asked herself.
Buggy seemed interested. "Could she be another fan of mine? Someone new for the crew?"
Shade hearing this was immediately suspicious. 'She's with Luffy, she has to be. She has some sort of scheme."
"Buggy the immortal. It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance, my name is Kura. I've prepared a small gift for you." Kura shoved Luffy forward. "The girl managed to get away but I grabbed this map from her." She tossed the map to Buggy.
"So the thief hasn't actually been captured?" Buggy asked rhetorically. "No matter, it's not a problem. The map has been returned and one of the thieves has been captured. I think this calls for a celebration, don't you think?" Buggy's smile grew wider. "Let's all celebrate flashily!"
Meanwhile hidden somewhere among the men, Jay sat quietly. "Observe." He whispered as he looked at Shade.

Kura walked over to Buggy and grabbed a seat across from him. Shade threw her arm around her shoulder. "Hey new girl, who are you?"

Kura sighed. 'That's not happening any time soon.' She thought. "Well with the standard 'observe', we're able to see stats and most of another person's skills. Through that we can clearly see that we're both gamers, what are you really asking?"
Shade smirked. "You catch on quick, I like that. What is your plan here with Luffy, how do you plan on defeating us?"
"You could stop it easily just by telling Buggy. Are you actively trying to lose?" Kura asked.
Shade shook her head. "Captain doesn't really like spoilers, he'd hate me for telling him. Besides, he needs to lose in order to gain the goal of beating your crew. I joined Buggy because he does what he wants and is a natural leader just like Luffy. Only difference is that Buggy is a lot luckier. I just gotta keep him out of impel down, if I do that, there's no telling how strong he'll get."
"So you're gonna let us have this?" Kura replied, confused.
Shade shook her head. "Sorry but no, you gotta work for it. However, whether we win or lose, I can guarantee that if we meet in Loguetown. Buggy's crew will be a lot stronger."
Kura sighed once more. "Enough with the future knowledge stuff, how did you die? It's a question we ask now."
Shade looked dejected. "I was originally part of the Russian military, one day I caught an idiot smoking on base and when I confronted him, he threw the cigarette which somehow ignited some nearby gunpowder and blew us up. Why the hell did he decide to smoke next to a bag of gunpowder? How did a cigarette even cause it to blow up, that's nearly impossible."
Kura laughed. "At least you didn't die from that annoying ass truck. Even worse, my partner had an airplane crash into his house."
Shade laughed along until she focused on that last part. "Wait, partner?"
Jay snuck away from the party disappearing into one of the nearby tents. "There it is." He whispered as he picked up the item he was searching for.
"Don't tell me, there's another one here?" Shade asked in surprise.
Kura looked at her with a smile before turning to Buggy. "Hey Buggy, isn't there something more entertaining for us to watch?"
"Eheheheheh! You know what, I like her!" Buggy declared. "Men prepare a special buggy ball!" The Buggy pirates began to cheer in unison. The men rolled in a cannon placing it in front of Luffy's cage. "Popo! Where's the Buggy ball!"
The short monkey-like boy came running out with a frantic look on his face. "Captain! Captain! The main Buggy ball that we keep for times like this has gone missing!"
"What?!" Buggy shouted. "Go call for Mohji and the others!"
Popo saluted him. "Right away captain!" Popo ran off as a huge explosion sounded in the clearing.

"There he is." Kura smirked.
'Kura has reached level 11.'

As the smoke cleared one figure rose from the smoke.
'You have taken 260 damage.'
'Due to health reaching 0, endure has been activated. For the next minute you will be incapable of dying. 24 hour cooldown.'
'Jay has reached level 11.'
'Jay has reached level 12.'
'Hp has been fully restored. 8 stats have been deposited into endurance.'
'Endurance has reached level 10. New skill has been obtained.'
Jay smirked. "I'll check the skill later. So Buggy, what's it gonna be?!"
"What?!" Buggy shouted again. "Who are you?!"
The cage Luffy was trapped in had cracked and Luffy stepped out with a large smile. "It seems your plan worked."
Nami ran in with a green haired swordsman running behind her. "Hey guys! I found the idiot swordsman!"
Kura stood up and walked to our side. "Time to start a war!" She declared.
"Where are the others?" Shade asked.
"They're on their way." Buggy said calmly as 4 figures emerged from a nearby tent.
"Buggy, you called?!" Called a man coated in fur, accompanied by a lion.
"Is that Zoro?" Cabaji asked. "I always wanted the chance to fight him!"
The final man was large, someone I immediately recognized. I looked over at Nami with a dry glare. "Really, skeleton jokes?! No heart and no eyes huh?!"
Nami scratched her neck sheepishly. "I figured it'd be funny to see your reaction."
"Captain Joke?" Kura commented.
The five of us faced the six of them in what would be today's final standoff.
"Hey captain, can I take care of Roronoa?!" Cabaji asked Buggy.
Buggy glanced at Shade asking her to make the decision. Shade glanced at Zoro for a moment. "You four better take him together." Shade told them. "Mohji at mid range, Richie and Cabaji up close. Joke you stay back! He's way too strong for any of you to deal with individually."
The four of them stepped forward, following the directions of their vice-captain. Nami took a step back, not willing to participate in the fight. On the other hand Zoro just grinned. "Four on one huh? Can't say I don't enjoy the hospitality."
Cabaji rode his unicycle into battle as Richie pounced on Zoro. Zoro jumped back and countered the two with his swords but was immediately struck by a whip.
"Hey you can't do that!" Jay shouted. "He's not even black!"
Kura immediately smacked him across the head. "First of all they don't even know what that means, they don't discriminate against color only against actual race. Second, you don't get to say that just because you're part of that culture."
"Geez Kura, it was just a joke." Jay muttered.
Zoro looked at me in confusion before having to duck under Richie's paw. He slashed upwards cutting the lion's jaw before sending a deep cut into his pelt and throwing him to the side. Richie tried to struggle to his feet but ultimately passed out.
"Richie!" Mohji shouted, rushing over to his lion companion. He checked his pulse making sure he was alive before turning his glare towards Zoro. "You'll pay for that!"
Cabaji clashed with Zoro while Mohji struck out with his whips. Cabaji opened his mouth as a large flame escaped from it scorching Zoro's clothes. Zoro tried to jump back but was assaulted by explosive bullets from Joke.
"Damn, this is harder than I expected." Zoro breathed out. Another crack of Mohji's whip sounded out, wrapping around Zoro's sword and pulling it away. Zoro responded rapidly with an upwards slash that caused Cabaji to lose his own. Zoro caught the blade and cut Cabaji across the chest forcing him to leave the fight.
As Zoro advanced on Mohji he was shot from the side and sent flying into the wall. "Got you!" Mohji shouted as he struck Zoro multiple times, leaving him scarred. Zoro regained his composure as a demonic glare appeared on his face as he stepped towards Mohji again. "Stay back!" Mohji struck him again, but Zoro just walked right through until he was face to face with Mohji. Zoro slashed Mohji's whip and glared at him causing him to pass out due to fear.
Zoro looked at Joke. "You're all that's left." He smiled devilishly.
Joke dropped his guns, throwing his arms in the air. "I give up." He surrendered.
"Huh?!" Buggy yelled. "You haven't even used your devil fruit!"
Joke shrugged his shoulders. "It doesn't work on people with willpower as high as his, besides…" He started as Zoro immediately fell to the floor. "It was technically a draw." Joke collapsed to the floor exhausted with his muscles screaming for a break, the muscles he didn't have. Alright sorry, geez.
Nami rushed over to Zoro to make sure the swordsman was okay.
"Fine!" Buggy growled. "Shade, take the two weaklings. I'll handle their flashy captain!"
Shade looked at us for a moment before smirking. "Only level 12 each, this should be easy."
Buggy flew at Luffy picking him up and flying him across the city. Buggy's legs stood up and rapidly chased after the two.
Shade smiled at us. "I gotta say, I like the way this is turning out. No cliche pet shop, and no drawn out fight for victory. Though are you sure Luffy should be fighting Buggy on his own?"
"What are you tryna say?" Jay asked.
"The only reason Buggy lost last time was because Nami was there to distract him. As it stands, Nami is taking care of Zoro. Luffy is gonna lose." She explained.
'Hey Kura, we're gonna need more crew members than just us. I don't know how to feel about the other gamers knowing exactly who they are, it's gonna fuck us up in the end.' Jay voiced through the party chat.
'Yea, it's clear that Shade brought Joke in to counter Brook. Wait, does that mean all non canon stories are real in this world?' Kura asked.
'Fuck! G-8 is gonna be a problem. We'll worry about that later, let's focus on the fight.' Jay turned to Shade with a smirk. "Luffy might lose, but that just means we'll have to beat your ass quicker so we can head over to help him."
Shade grinned. "I think you're forgetting something, in a fight with a gamer all that matters is gear and level. This will be quite easy."
"Fire bullet!" Kura yelled, a bullet flying towards Shade. "That's where you're wrong, a level 1 can beat a level 99 in Xenoverse easily. All that matters is not getting touched."
Jay looked over at Kura in astonishment. "Oh my god, you played that game too. I was way too good with Fu."
"You bought the dlc? You're such a pay to win bitch!" Shade interrupted.
"You are so lucky we can't settle this with a game. Let's go Kura!" Jay shouted as they rushed at Shade.
"Link!" Shade drew her blade causing her power to skyrocket. She vanished from sight, appearing next to Jay and cutting through his body.
'You have taken 39 damage.'
"Damn it, that hurt! Whose idea was it for me to still feel pain?" Jay asked angrily. "That damn agility is way too high!"
'The skill, health regen has leveled up!'
"Huh?! You should be dead! Wait, don't tell me. You have a gamers body! That broken ass skill! That's completely unfair." Shade complained.
"Right cool, more importantly." I began. "Kura, keep your eyes open, she's fast."
Kura paused for a second, distributing 8 points into strength. "Eye of Anubis!" She yelled.
[Enemy is at a higher level. The skill eye of Anubis has been activated. Stats have increased by 50%]

As Shade reappeared, she clashed with Kura as a snake shot out and bit Kura's neck. Kura dropped to the floor immediately.
"What the hell did you do?" Kura asked weakly.
"The Kuja snakes can learn all the skills of the owner. They're highly intelligent, my snake learned the paralyzing poison. Now sit there while I deal with this other guy." Shade turned her back on Kura going face to face with Jay.
"You are lucky you're so over leveled." Jay growled. "Though I don't plan to lose." Shade disappeared again and slashed at Jay once more causing him to fall to the floor.
'You have been affected by paralysis, will be rendered immobile for 5 seconds.'
Shade moved to finish me off but was suddenly tripped by Nami who joined our fight. As shade took a moment to stand, Kura appeared with an Ember sending Shade slamming into the wall with a slight burn.
[Shade has taken 100 damage, health remaining: 150/250.]
As Jay's paralysis ended he stood up. 'Hey stupid system, do we get anything for winning this fight?' He asked.
[Outside of Exp from defeating a level 50, I can't tell you. All quests excluding dungeon quests are hidden from the user, only the Archmage system can see those quests.]
'Useless as always.' Jay scolded.
Shade staggered to her feet, 100 damage all at once was a lot for her. "Damn does she pack a punch, that isn't enough to take me out though."
I laughed. "Must suck not having Gamers body. You also don't get to choose your stats. Sucks to be you. You're nothing but a glass cannon."
Shade attempted to rush forward but thanks to her broken arm she dropped her sword, all her stats dropped to 0. Her health only at 1. "Damn it! Only one hit, what kind of skill is that?! It's way too broken early game!"
Kura just smiled. "It isn't gonna be useful for too long, I might as well use it while I can. Let's go guys, we gotta go catch up to Luffy."
Shade growled to herself. "Stupid ass system! I need more items if I wanna make the most of this garbage."
[Hey don't get mad at me, because you're useless on your own!]
"Oh shut up!" Shade yelled as the four strawhats vanished from sight. Her system was truly a pain in the ass, and he felt no remorse for putting her through all the trouble. Her snake slithered over to her and rested on her shoulders. "At least you're helpful." She whispered before falling asleep.

The walk to find Luffy had been quite eventful with all the notices. 'Draw.' Jay thought.

He looked at the skill and combined it with water walking. It'd be pretty useful later on. Kura had drawn a skill as well. Now that they were level 20 they had 32 stat points to distribute. 4 stats a level and 8 levels all at once.
Jay distributed all his stats into agility as Buggy and Luffy were finally in view.
Buggy turned to us with a look of surprise on his face. "You flashy morons are still alive!" He shouted. We looked beneath him to see an unconscious Luffy. "The flashy captain of yours has been defeated, I'm taking my map back. We'll call a draw for now!" He announced as he walked past us.
None of us dared to make a move since it'd be hard to defeat him. "Luffy!" We all shouted as we rushed forward to see if he was awake.
Luffy's eyes opened with a wide smile. "Sorry I lost, we should probably get out of here right?"
Zoro smirked. "It was a draw, we'll get them back next time. Now we gotta take this useless navigator of ours to her island so we can defeat the freak there."
Jay laughed lightly. "This fight was a bit anticlimactic and hectic. We'll have to do better in our next fight."
Kura nodded as we picked up Luffy and set sail for cocoyashi village. Kura handed her map to Nami so Nami could safely get us there. As the group set off, Kura's quest was complete as she finally copied one of Luffy's skills.
'Lightning immunity is all I need for now.' She thought. 'No point in making all brawlers useless with shock nullification.'
Back with Buggy.
"Hey you flashy idiots! Get up!" He shouted. The 5 fighters stood up to see a pissed off Buggy. "How could you all lose like that?! I would've taken care of them myself if it wasn't for the fact that the flashy Straw Hat was so hard to beat!"
"We apologize, captain!" The 5 voices responded in unison.
"Popo!" Buggy called.
The young boy ran out from behind some rubble and stood in front of his captain. "Yes sir?!"
"The 6 of us are heading to the grand line!" Buggy told him. "Take whoever survived and leave this island, I'm putting you in charge of the rest of the crew. Also I made a deal with their captain, so leave half of the treasure here."
Popo looked confused. "But Captain, I'm not strong enough to lead the crew. They need you as the captain."
Buggy smiled or at least tried. "Outside of those coming with me, you're the strongest. Train them up and then come find me in the grand line. I won't tolerate any failures!"
"Yes captain!" Popo cried. "I'll live up to your expectations, we'll become your first fleet!"
"Alright you flashy idiots! Let's set sail!" Buggy called to the five behind him.
"Have you figured it out Buggy?" Shade asked.
"Yea I have, a small elite crew of flashy idiots is much better than a big crew of flashy weaklings." Buggy answered.
"I'm glad you finally understand my reasoning." Shade smiled. "We can't leave yet though, there's a few people here in the east blue for us to recruit. They're a little unhinged but like we did with Joke, I'm sure you can talk them into joining."
Buggy's smile grew wide. "Where's the first one?!"
"I think you'll like her." Shade promised.
Heading to Cocoyashi immediately, doing so will drastically change the story and that's the main point. Don't worry Usopp and Sanji still join we just make it to their individual spots a bit later.

3. Extinguish(Can extinguish normal flames in an area. The new skill she obtained from the draw after beating Shade. Also the reason Pyromancy leveled up.)
