"Have you got them?"
"Yeah, all seven. Eggman resisted, though. He's dead now."
"Good, good. One less fool to worry about. Computer, initiate operation Black."

"Sonic, I'm gaining on you!" shouted Miles 'Tails' Prower, as him and Sonic the Hedgehog careened down one of Station Square's many roads.
Sonic smirked at the remark. He knew no one could catch him. Elegantly rounding a corner, he found himself in an alley. Suddenly a girl, yelling blissfully, pinned him to the ground.
"Amy, get off me!" he yelled in her face.
"Not 'till you give me a kiss, Sonikku!" and without even waiting for a reply, the pink hedgehog slowly craned her face towards his.
"AAAAHHHHHHHH!"

Tails had lost Sonic. But the bright side was he knew he would. Sonic was just way too fast for him. So Tails headed for his workshop. He knew Sonic would find him there.
"This just in." said the newscaster on Tails' small TV, " A series of jewel heists have banks and museums under tight security.
"The stolen Chaos Emeralds," Tails' ears perked up, "Were taken from very secure areas, and it is wondered how the thief managed to make it out undetected. All six emeralds in Station Square's possession were taken. "
"That Eggman must be behind this." Tails thought aloud.
A knocking on his door startled him.
"Tails, open up! It's me!" called the voice of Sonic.
"Don't bother coming in Sonic, we have a problem!"
"I have a worse one!"
"I was watching the news,"
"I was minding my own business,"
"When something the newscaster said just hit me,"
"When Amy just hit me!"
"Six Chaos emeralds were stolen!"
This brought Sonic back to reality.
