The starry night

The flickering light

No matter what it seems

I say it's only a dream

Maybe it is

And maybe it's not

But the sound of my feet

On the cobblestone street

All comes back to say

I've been spirited away

Place of mystery

Place of destiny

I will find myself

If I don't lose myself

I walk on alone

And then I'm gone…

The rainy sky

And I'm asking why

I am on my own

In a world I don't know

Maybe I'm lost

And maybe I'm not

But the wind's quiet din

As it ushers me in

Breathes a sigh to say

I've been spirited away

Place of mystery

Place of destiny

I will find myself

If I don't lose myself

I walk on alone

And then I'm gone…

The faceless fear

The unseen tear

Don't know if I can cope

In my hands I hold hope

Maybe I'm brave

And maybe I'm not

But the dragon's warm blood

Flowing fierce like a flood

Shocks me as I say

I've been spirited away

Place of mystery

Place of destiny

I will find myself

If I don't lose myself

I walk on alone

And then I'm gone…

The scales fall away

I know I'll be okay

As we fall through the sky

Hold my hand as I cry

The feeling is too much for me

Place of mystery

Place of destiny

I will find myself

If I don't lose myself

I walk on alone

And then I'm gone…

We walk on alone

And then he's gone…

And I know

He's been spirited away

Spirited away

I've been spirited away

Author's Note:
I scribbled this on my bulletin one morning during church. There's a melody that goes to it…but I lost it. Maybe if I find it I'll record myself singing it and post it on Youtube or something.
