Halloween Horrors
Chapter 12th
Doctor Syndey Perlmutter had been working on Michael's body. When his assistant Jerome had come back in after taking all of the blood cultures with no results as yet.
Perlmutter growled briefly. "Anything on the blood cultures or on the clothing?" he asked the question finishing up with removing the kidneys and into the weigher.
Exhaling before speaking. "Matter of fact there was a chemical that the lab was unable to name. They are currently checking all of the databases. It's possible that the serial killer might know how to use it coming from a chemical plant or a small chemical storage bin."
"I will hate to think that the killer is going to be looking for another victim in the process Jerome. But for now, I wasn't able to come up with anything else with my shift almost over with Doctor Anderson to be arriving soon," he noted with a taste of anger in his demeanor.
"Matter of fact Doctor, she is already here. She will be here when she had gathered herself." Jerome had to tell him.
"Excellent. I can go home by taking my wife Margaret to the diner for lunch. She had been bitching and moaning again that I have been working too hard." he remarked.
Meanwhile Carolyn after leaving the Coroner's bay and signing the papers to release Michael's body. She needed to speak with his associates at the firm.
She had picked up the Daily newspaper at the local deli with the story of her husband's murder on the third page of the newspaper. She had read that the 12th precinct and a mystery writer/consultant are working on the case with trying to find the serial killer.
She didn't like the fact that Michael wasn't the only one killed by the killer loose on the streets. She had parked her buggy near the entrance of the door at the back of the building. She had stopped by the security desk letting them know that she was there in the first place.
Upstairs on the sixth floor. Michael's associates and including his partner Johan Sales age 52 years of age were going over the cases that Michael had been working on. Johan had been with the firm for ten years. Prior he was in a mental hospital having suffered a breakdown with the death of his wife Suzanne killed by an ex-con released from prison.
Taking the elevator, she will stop off at the desk with Judy a replacement secretary since Carolyn is away from her job of the death of her husband.
Judy looked up to see Carolyn feeling sad for her at the moment. "Carolyn, how are you doing? I am very sorry to hear all about Michael." she paused with a deep exhale.
Carolyn says the following. "Thanks, I just wish to god that the police will be able to find Michael's killer along with the others," she responded with sadness in her demeanor.
"I read in the newspapers that the mayor, governor, and the police commissioner will be putting extra officers on the case, along with the mystery writer Richard Castle to be helping out as well. I have read just about all of his novels from over the years." Judy tells her with a hint of a smile.
"I just hope that the police will be able to catch him. While Johan had been listening to their conversation along with a HINT of a smirk.
