Rin stepped up to the plate and we waited patiently for several minutes until she sighed, wiping her forehead with a rag. She had cleared out all of the spikes and patched him up fine, but he was still unconscious.
"I-I don't even know how he's alive."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Math is red! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"What do you mean?" Kakashi asked quickly, he was rapidly tapping his legs while waiting for Rin to finish her procedure.
"Most people would have died just from one of these stones. Sure, they hit non vital areas, but you said he fought after this?" Rin replied. Kakashi had explained the fight while she worked to Minato, and she was listening to snippets of it.
"I'm not sure for how long, but I could barely track him with my sharingan for the final attack he did."
"I won't accept any more missions for a little while, at least until everyone is healed up to their maximum. I can't have you all thrown in the way because of Danzo's hate for me." Minato interjected, looking down at my unconscious form.
"Why does he hate you?" Kakashi asked.
"Lord third has denied him from being the next in line for the title of hokage, and instead is deciding between Fugaku Uchiha, Orochimaru, and me. So, I guess he decided to get back at me by sending my team on several high-ranking missions and using my title as ammunition for me to be pushed into these."
"You're being considered for the title of fourth!?" Rin and Kakashi both yelled out, Minato chuckled and rubbed the back of his head. "I didn't really want to, but Hiruzen said that my war efforts were a very large contributing factor to his decision, and he sort of forced me into it."
"How?"
"He tricked me. Crafty old man. He got me to sign the papers while I was drunk after a party, so now I'm officially recognised as a hokage candidate."
"Yeesh, that is sneaky."
"I know right!" Minato complained loudly.
Team Minato sat in silence for a while before picking up my body over Minato's shoulder and heading back towards the main camp. They all chatted amiably until they reached the front gate where they immediately went to Danzo to report the complete mission.
"Shin seems to be a liability for your team Namikaze, would you like me to transfer him?" He said after hearing the verbal report from Kakashi's perspective.
"I don't believe he is at all, he may be inexperienced, but he has fulfilled a strong role for this team. Kakashi is our strategist, Rin is the support and Shin is our heavy force, the team is balanced, and his actions today do not speak for his entire skillset that he offers." Minato replied coldly, sending a scrutinising glare Danzo's way, he ignored it and rubbed his cross scarred chin.
"Hmm, I'll trust your opinion then Namikaze. I will be moving from the position as head officer here and will be replaced by Orochimaru. You have 3 days' rest, thank you for your hard work." He cleaned up some documents before waving the group off, Minato guided my body to the medical ward while Rin and Kakashi went to rest.
Y'all ever wanted to know what the next universe might be? It's a toss up between 3 right now, try and guess them in the review section. I'll pm anyone who guess one of them with the other 2!
"Tsk tsk, you have grown sloppy."
I opened my eyes and found myself in a frozen forest, coated in snow with dead trees surrounding me. A deep, ethereal voice was surrounding me as I looked around. 'Where am I?'
"Where else but your mindscape?"
"You can hear my thoughts? And that doesn't make sense, my mindscape is in the form of Kumo right now."
"That's just your imagination in form. This is your real mindscape, what your soul truly is. As you can see, its cold, barren, and sad. But the snow feels awfully warm, doesn't it?"
I reached below me and touched the snow after removing my gloves, it really was warm, like a warm heat pack under a blanket. "Who are you then? If this is my mindscape, then are you me?"
"Something like that, but don't worry your little head about it. For now, stop taking your gift for granted. I know you are stocking up those points for some insane reason, and you aren't stealing jutsu from your memories out of some inane fear of being investigated but news flash, nobody actually cares."
"Shut it, you don't understand what I want!"
"Oh, but I do! I'm you after all! You want that warm fuzzy feeling, don't you? The one you chased from your family all your life, the one you felt only a couple of times in the past 7 years, isn't that, right? Here's a little titbit of information for you boy, that night where you were congratulated, the snow melted a little. Now begone."
I felt a strong force overwhelm me as the snow in my hands dropped from my grip. I looked around frantically as I started to float and saw a tall red-haired woman surrounded by a red serpent made of blood. She flicked her hand forward and I flew backwards into a tree, dying upon impact instantly.
I flew up from my bed and startled the nurse surveying my injuries. I reached towards the back of my head and felt no injury but swung my legs to the side of the bed and felt my body over. 'What the fuck was that?' I thought, attempting to stand up before I was pushed back by the nurse.
"Oh no mister, you are staying right here until you are healed!" She shook her head at me, it was a young black-haired woman with amber eyes thin features around her face.
"Where am I?"
"Heaven, the pearly gates are just over there." She flicked her thumb backwards to a white wall that I deadpanned at. She started to snicker as I turned my head to her, she slapped my back roughly, surely making it red from the force. "Haha! Just kidding, you're in the medical ward right now. Minato dropped you off a few hours ago, so you should be fine after a days' rest with our help."
"Hmm, okay."
"So how do you feel, any pain anywhere?"
"No, I'm fine for now."
"Kay', press the red button to call for me." She swished a curtain around my bed and walked off quickly, I could hear the clacking of her shoes until she entered another room.
I willed my status to appear and stared into it blankly. 'What did I mean by growing sloppy?' I thought while staring at my list of skills, I really didn't want to be investigated or whatever, but I knew I needed some of the skills like the rasengan, which I should have gotten earlier. If only for the power boost it would provide.
I had 165 skill points to spend, and now was the time to use them, if I was throwing myself straight into suicide missions from Danzo, there was no way I was going back in while not at my full strength. That didn't include the 90 stat points I was currently sitting on for some reason.
I would usually split them evenly between my stats, but I needed strength right now, real strength. Though, that didn't mean I would put my stat points into the strength stat, true that would increase my power, but I had the curse seal for that. For now, I wanted some health, so I slapped all 90 points into vitality and used 100 of my skill points in the physical tree, unlocking 2 new passive skills, 1 new active skill and bringing my passive boost from 20% to each stat to 80%.
I grinned at the new maximum values for my hp and stamina, laying back on the bed and looking at my last 65 points to spend. There was one last ketsuryugan evolution until I had to expand the tree through the special quest I received. I grabbed the last upgrade to my ketsuryugan and activated them, pulling out my teapot to reflect the vision of myself.
My eyes had shifted into an addition symbol inside of the pupils with red surrounding it. I deactivated them and looked at my last 35 skill points, just unlocking my new evolution had cost 30 skill points and now I had the other 35 to spend.
I put the last few points into my chakra tree, upgrading my sensing range to 400m in every direction and making my chakra more easily malleable into different forms through shape or element manipulation.
I breathed out a sigh and looked at the 0 next to my current number of skill points, then I opened my inventory and started to use the remaining vouchers, 42 5 ones, 25 1 ones, and 3 10 ones totalled to 53 levels and 265 stat points.
I levelled up my curse mark transformation to 68, using 65 of the levels I had to spend, 50 levels in perfect flash, bringing my chances of extra effects to 6%. I had 150 levels to spread out among the rest of my skills, but I instead focused them on the ones I mainly used for combat, like my taijutsu and kenjutsu, both of which I maxed out at level 100. After that I used the last 83 levels straight into shape manipulation so I could maybe evolve or change some of my skills for better use, like a lightning trident or vacuum wind needles.
Now I had to spend my 265 stat points and decided to greatly increase my chakra maximum, because then I could possibly learn sage mode. My chakra stat was now sitting as my highest with 365 points, followed by strength at 215 and vitality in third with 198.
My eyes widened as I stared at my new chakra maximum, it was absolutely insane! The old max was only 11,000, now I was sitting nearly at 42,000! Several large notifications popped up around me and I brought the first one on my left into my view.
"Congratulations on reaching level 200! We knew you could do it!
Your next milestone gift is at level 300, and after that is 500, but don't worry, those will be worth just as much, if not more than these!
4x C – A RANK technique vouchers
1x A – RANK technique voucher
1x Moon charm
1x bouquet of infernal chrysanthemums
All rewards are being deposited into your inventory now…"
I grabbed out the newly deposited moon charm from my inventory and looked at it closely. It was a silver medallion made of some sort of stone with a thin black rope that was able to be adjusted to fit as a bracelet. I slid it on, and it glowed brightly before simmering back down, I didn't feel any sort of change, but my status said that my chakra had been lowered by a few thousand points. The fact that over 3000 chakra being absorbed felt like nothing was quite surprising, but not unwelcome.
I got up from my bed and pressed the red button above my bed, a soft beep was heard from a room outside my curtain and the clacking of the nurse's footsteps could be heard again.
"Yes?"
"Can I leave yet? I feel completely fine."
"I already said no, we need to make sure your stitches and stuff stays in so I can't have you leaving or doing training."
"Aww, come on, please?"
"I think that's the first time I've heard a shinobi beg to leave hospital care and go back into duty. I'll bring Minato around and he will decide for you instead."
"Good enough."
She muttered something under her breath and walked off, leaving the curtains open so I could survey my surroundings. It was a plain white room with many other patients behind curtains on other beds with a walkway through the middle of the two rows. I pulled out my iv stuff and looked under my hospital gown, spying on the large puncture scar that sat neatly in between my collarbone and shoulder.
I stood up and pulled my elastic pants away from my body to look at my thigh, spotting the 2 other puncture wounds that caused scars up my thigh. I slowly walked out of the curtain and activated my dojutsu, immediately sensing dozens of chakra signatures around the compound.
I felt 2 auras coming towards me, the warm but fresh feeling of Minato's and an earthy hard aura which I presumed to be the nurses. The doors shifted open and I looked towards them, Minato had a thoughtful expression on his face while the nurse was starting to get red in the face while balling her fists.
"I TOLD YA TO SIT DOWN KID! AGH FORGET IT, GO DIE FOR ALL I CARE!" She yelled out in frustration, storming off into the hall while Minato looked back at her.
"Aaah, don't say that Miss Kokomi, he might actually do it!" Minato chuckled.
"So, Shin, you think you are ready to be released?"
"I do."
"Mind if I test you then?"
"Su- "Before I could finish talking, he vanished from my vision, stopping a fist right in front of my face. "Alright! You fail! Go lay back down and rest." He clapped with a smile.
"Let's retry that then, I just need to dodge an attack, right?"
"Yep!"
"Ok, I'm ready."
He vanished from my vision as I stopped time, seeing his body move to my right while laying low to the ground, preparing a punch straight to my hip. Time resumed and I bent backwards perfectly, letting the punch fly straight over my stomach while his eyes widened.
"Good one, I guess you are ready. We have a 3-day break before we are back on missions so you can train however you want, come to me if you want some help though."
"Okay, I will thanks." I walked past him before saying one last thing which would explain my training. "I'll be disappearing for those 3 days then so don't worry about me. 'Reverse summoning!'" I vanished from the hospital room and appeared in Noriki cave, sensing a few chakra signatures around me.
"Hello again master Shin, I shall let master Komoru know of your presence." A young humanoid bat said while bowing down before he flew into the sky, dipping into the forest in front of me.
The other bats around me disappeared while Komizu flew up to my shoulder and nuzzled into it. "Sup Shin! Finally ready to start training?"
"Yeah, I am, just for 3 days though. Then I have to go back for a few missions."
"Kay, make sure you bring me along though!"
"Sure, I could use the company."
Komizu guided me through the cave while we talked until, I opened the door to Komoru's room, lit up with dim torches around the room. He was hanging upside down and opened a beady eye to look at me before flipping around and crawling onto the ground.
"Are you ready to begin your training Shin?"
"I think so Komoru, also, do I have enough chakra to become a sage?"
His eyes widened momentarily and an eery feeling came over me before he grunted and turned away. "I think you may have been poisoned Shin; we will have to postpone your training until that is fixed."
"Poisoned? From what!?"
"There is a curse on your shoulder, I cannot safely pass along any sort of clan technique or secret while we may have a spectator listening. It is also spreading a foul chemical through your chakra system; how long has it been placed for?"
"Oh, the curse seal. I got it about 2 weeks ago and have only been using it in life-or-death situations, is it that bad?"
"Certainly, we can do something about it though, and change it to be a boon. Please wait here while I get Komoko to set up an array."
"Sure." I sat on the ground while talking to Komizu and after about 2 hours the bat boss walked back in and ushered me into a new room with a very intricate array painted onto the ground with a grey bat slowly hobbling and checking over every single line.
"I have not met you yet master Shin, it's an honour." He said after finishing his last-minute check. He guided me into the centre where a triangle with 3 different circles interlocking surrounded me. "Just wait here and we should be done in about… 14 hours?"
I sighed loudly and he stepped on the edge of the array before instructing some helpers to supply chakra to different points. "I forgot to mention, it will also be extremely painful since we are rewriting a infused seal from what master Komoru said."
He said that not a moment too soon as a static shock electrocuted all over my body, I must have looked like zoro absorbing some damage from luffy on thriller bark with how my body spasmed and I let out a guttural cry in pain.
17 excruciating hours later
Komoko's estimation was a bit off and it ended up taking even longer. I had long lost my voice after the first hour of yelling and my skin was bleeding from how hard I was gripping and tearing at it to try and relieve the burning pain around my neck.
After hour 3 I was bonded tightly with some sort of fabric that stopped me from moving altogether. I needed to stay conscious for the seal to work so every once in a while, someone would restore my stamina and go take nap.
"Congratulations master Shin, the first step to your sage training has been complete."
"Huh?"
"We have successfully manipulated your body and that seal to be capable of storing and moulding sage chakra. The seal acts as storage for natural energy right now and will collect is as you live normally, simply send chakra and it will limit the amount of natural energy it gives you to help you control the transformation. That means your only job is to use the natural energy and mix it to form sage chakra, some of my finest work I must say." He explained while walking around the circle and looking at me. My restraints finally came off and I stepped up to stretch my limbs, looking over at the seal while I bent down.
It had completely changed form and now had the same design as my pupils, a dark plus sign with 4 branches extending from the outer ring with a couple of lightning bolts.
"Skill 'curse mark transformation stage 1' fused with skill 'nature energy absorption."
"Though this no longer means you can use the addictive power of the curse, with time it will become a great asset to your arsenal." The old bat finished, leaving the room and ushering me back to Komoru, who was resting from the ceiling again.
Being entirely truthful, I did miss the power of the curse seal quite a bit, but if I could learn sage mode, I would settle for that. Komoru dropped down to the ground and unravelled a scroll from inside his wing.
"This is for you Shin; it has a list of our techniques that you can learn from. Choose 2 that we will focus on for the next couple of days."
I looked down at the list of techniques he had placed before me. The list was extensive in knowledge, but not so many techniques. 3 that stuck out to me were the echolocation, chakra fabrication and of course, sage mode.
I pointed them out and Komoru looked down over the list. "I didn't expect you to be interested in chakra fabrication Shin, it uses natural energy in tandem with regular chakra to make solid forms of chakra, though they aren't very durable.
Our echolocation technique when boiled down is really a matter of sending out thin pulses of chakra and using our sensing capabilities to understand our surroundings from the feedback. Our sage mode, however, is a little bit different from clans like the toads or snakes.
The sage mode we teach and have taught embraces the animalistic side of the imperfect sage mode while still being just as practical as a mastered form of the transformation. Our summoners in the past using sage mode have gained wings or noseleafs that can assist the echolocation process."
"How long will it take to learn the sage transformation from your clan?"
"With how perfect the balance must be, previous summoners have taken up to 3 years to learn and master the transformation, but our quickest one only took 4 months."
"4 months? Jeez, that takes a while."
"Ohoho, that young girl was a prodigy as well, so I expect you to take around a year or so to learn if not more."
"I'll make sure to prove you wrong, now let's get started with something."
"So excited to begin, but so inexperienced. We will start with our echolocation technique first since it is the simplest."
I sat down on the ground while Komoru explained the process to me, all I had to do was surround myself with chakra and fire it out in the area around me periodically or as often as I wanted. It was surprisingly not as taxing on my reserves as I would have thought, only requiring about 2 points per square metre around me.
After 4 hours of me sitting there and letting out chakra pulses, I opened my eyes to where Komoru was sleeping peacefully without a care in the world. "Hey Komoru, what do I need to do next?"
"Mmm? Already able to let out a full pulse?"
"Yeah, I can, do I need to demonstrate?"
"That would be helpful."
I burst chakra off of my pores and laid it over the area and in the air around me, coating every molecule with a tiny fraction of chakra like a network of nodes.
"Extremely impressive, you're a quick learner, but you haven't quite mastered it yet, still 2 more steps to go after all."
"Yet you only told me one of them before going to sleep ya old bat."
"That I did. Though I expected you to spend at least the rest of your stay on that one step."
"Guess I'm just that good."
"Truly, lets start the next step then. You will need to sense out every single part of your chakra in the area with your eyes closed, a little tip, previous summoners have stated it will feel like being surrounded by stars in space or something similar."
I closed my eyes and heard Komoru shift back into another position to sleep. I activated my dojutsu under my eyelids but heard Komoru grumble. "Don't do that Shin, you must feel it without your dojutsu."
I deactivated my dojutsu with a sigh and let out a pulse of chakra, I was not wrong earlier when I said it was easy on the chakra, but that was for a quick pulse, when being held onto, it was draining my chakra by hundreds of points a second.
Without my dojutsu I felt very blind, not sure if that was due to me having my eyes closed though. I sat still and kept trying to feel out any sort of chakra around me, there was a wisp of something heading towards my shoulder. Thinking that was my chakra I reached out and grabbed it, feeling a sharp slam on my stomach soon after and rolling into the wall of the cave.
"Wrong. Do not try and use that for now."
"You didn't need to hit me though!"
"I called out to you 4 times before hand, and you were but moments away from turning to stone from the rapid absorption of natural energy. I repeat, do not reach out for the natural energy surrounding you. If it helps, your chakra is quite cold."
"Cold? I thought it would be electrifying or something."
"It's quite cold in my opinion, like ice almost."
"Hm, okay I won't use the natural energy anymore."
"Good, I'm going to head back to sleep."
"Mm, let's do this."
I sat back down on the ground and closed my eyes, trying to sense out any sort of signature from my chakra around the room.
2 days later – medical ward
I reappeared with a poof in the medical ward and looked around, smelling smoke in the air. It was completely pitch black in the room and I couldn't sense anyone normally after sending out a few pulses of chakra.
The crackle of lightning caught my attention while I heard a familiar voice yell out "CHIDORI!" A man's body came hurtling through the wall and Kakashi followed, stabbing him through the chest with his tanto.
He looked over to me and cocked his head. "Where have you been Shin, we need to defend the camp now! Kiri has launched an attack and Minato sensei is out on a solo mission!"
"What!?" I hopped over to him, and he looked over my clothing. I was wearing some clothes prepared by the Noriki clan, a simple black cloak with a bright white crescent moon over my back and under that were grey pants with a dark violet long sleeved shirt.
"C'mon, lets just go help the others!" He ran out of the building quickly, slashing through a couple of shinobi while I got a good look at the surroundings. Everything was on fire and the windows for the central tower were pluming smoke out of them.
I ran into the middle of a fight and pulled out my 2 new kunai blades, twirling around quickly and decapitating 2 of the Kiri shinobi, ducking under a push pick to my torso and cutting the leg off at the shin of the offending attacker. He screamed in pain, and I used the flat of my huge blades to block several poisoned senbon coming my direction.
"So, you were here kid, supporting some leaves that strayed too far from the tree? It's been a rough few weeks for me back home, especially after your father killed my team." A growling voice said, I lowered my blades and looked over them, spying a silhouette with glowing red eyes that pierced into me with hatred.
I didn't recognize the man but got into a ready position with my 2 blades, something I wasn't used to. "Who the hell are you?"
"That doesn't matter, because you won't escape to tell a tale." He launched towards me with a katana ready, I blocked it with my kunai blade and parried the blade upwards and slashing forwards with my other.
He rolled backwards and threw 4 senbon at me which I blocked with my blade before he spat out a hazy purple mist. I jumped out of the cloud while holding my breath and put one of my blades back in my inventory, using the other to block several more senbon that came bursting out towards me.
I formed 3 wind needles and fired them into the cloud, hearing nothing. I landed on the ground and sent out a pulse of chakra, jumping up again to dodge several dirt spears that would have killed me.
I blocked the tip of another that reached into the air, pushing it away and landing on the side before running down to meet my opponent. I slashed forward with my heavy blade and clashed against his katana, hearing a grunt from the force of my blade.
I looked up to him and smirked but found myself in a blood red realm with fires surrounding me. I disrupted my chakra, but the illusion didn't vanish until I was brought back to reality by his katana sticking through my gut.
I hissed in pain and stabbed my blade forward to push him away, him dragging out to blade while flipping backwards to let me bleed. I put pressure on the wound and jumped backwards, putting away my sword so I could make some hand seals.
I spat out a stream of fire that met his water wall, throwing steam up into the area that was blown away by a different red mist. I pushed out a blanket of chakra and activated my dojutsu, not sensing anyone around me other than the other fights throughout the compound.
I sensed some killing intent and rolled to my side, dodging several more senbon coated with purple poison. I brought out my blade and stabbed it into the ground behind me before dragging it out with chakra enhanced force, throwing a huge amount of dirt into the air and blowing away all of the blood-coloured particles.
I sensed Kakashi's chakra coming towards me at great speeds, straight for my newly sensed out opponent. He was hiding inside of a tent nearby, preparing to throw even more senbon. "CHIDORI!" Kakashi yelled, slamming his chakra coated hand through the tent wall and eliciting a loud shriek of pain from the man who jumped away.
"Shin, I'm here to help." He said, slightly panting as he landed next to me. I nodded at him and prepared my sword before Kakashi's face was grabbed by a huge arm and he got dragged through the dirt to over 20m away.
I looked back but had to duck as 4 senbon launched towards my head. I swung my blade back, but I was stabbed through the leg by his katana. I look towards my opponent and his eyes were glowing even brighter than before with a smirk on his face. I growled and slashed my sword back again but he parried it easily and grabbed me by the throat, pulling me into the air.
"You know, after what your father did, the mizukage severely punished me for failing our mission." He pulled off his flak jacket and pulled down his collar, letting me see down his body where a large scar with scorch marks around it laid.
"Maybe I should give you something to match." He said, readying his sword to slash through my body. I growled and put my hand up to his right forearm that was attached to my throat, forming a rasengan and slamming it through his arm, blowing it off in a bloody shower.
He dropped me onto the ground, and I started to crawl away while gasping for breath, but he got back up and retrieved his sword. "YOU LITTLE FUCKING BASTARD!"
I made a couple of hand seals and placed them on the ground. He slashed down towards me but was blocked by a ribcage of bloody spears protecting me. Never was I so glad about the intricate designs I made with my blood in the land of tea.
I pulled out 3 shuriken and rolled over quickly, throwing them all and sticking 2 into his shoulders and 1 through his ribs. He stumbled backwards a bit and clutched his right arm; I stood up and panted for breath a bit more before dashing forwards and bringing out my sword.
He blocked it with his katana and kicked me in the face, being forced to block a return slash and a barrage of ferocious cuts until he was stopped by a bright blue hand sticking through his gut. "Chidori, bitch." Kakashi said as my opponent stumbled forward while holding his chest.
"What the fuck happened to you?" I deadpanned at him, his face was covered in blood, and he was panting heavily. He flicked his thumb behind him where a poof of smoke was heard.
"Fucking summoner." He said before recounting his experience against whatever the hell attacked him.
Kakashi POV 5 minutes earlier
I just landed to help Shin before a huge furry hand dragged me through the dirt, something that was definitely going to bruise later. The creature let go before flinging me into a tent pole, which I crashed through and caused the tarp to collapse over me.
I flicked it off and stood up, wiping some dirt off of my face and hair. There was a huge gorilla standing in front of me wearing a blue piece of fabric as a sash with the kanji for '8' on it. I pulled out my tanto and filled it with my chakra, causing it to glow a blinding white.
"Young man, how about you die quietly, and I will not make it too painful for you."
"Shut up."
I jumped forward and slashed downwards but the monkey caught it in his hand and sighed heavily. "Negotiations have broken down." He said and gripped my arm with his other hand, throwing me away and planting my sword into the ground.
I rolled a couple of times and retrieved 4 shuriken while making a few hand signs. "Fire style: phoenix flower jutsu!" I threw my shuriken forward through my fireballs. The ape put up his hand and blocked the fireballs, but my shuriken stuck cleanly into his hand before he tugged them out and threw them behind him.
"Ugh, I hate fighting crafty shinobi." He growled out before launching towards me with a large fist balled, I read the movement and ducked under the hit, spinning in place before kicking the ape in the back of the head. He rubbed his head a bit but swerved around and attempted to kick me before I dodged again, throwing 6 more shuriken with ninja wire attached.
He looked around as they missed him but groaned in annoyance as the wires tightly wrapped around him with a tug of my hands. "Lightning style: Current!" I blasted lightning through the metallic wire, thoroughly electrocuting the ape whose skin started to smoke from the heat.
With a yell he broke free of the wires, and they dug into my fingers, causing some blood to flow down to my palms. "Summoning jutsu!" I yelled out, summoning 3 of my special ninken to assist. Bull, a large brown bulldog with a spiked collar around his neck, Bisuke, a smaller tan dog with the kanji for shinobi in the middle of his head and Akino, a large tan dog with sunglasses.
"Alright you three, stay around the area and support me, I need some help."
"Yes sir!" They all dug underground, and I fetched my tanto, pulling my headband back over my eye to stop the massive chakra drain. The gorilla slowly walked towards me before picking up a large plank of wood and swinging it around like a tiny twig.
"I've had enough of this; I'll break every single bone in your body." He said slowly while stalking in my direction, I put up my sword and quickly blocked his first attack, wincing at the strength behind the attack.
He followed through with a kick to my side that sent me spiralling to the floor. Bull launched out of the ground and sunk his fangs into the monkey's ankles, causing it to yell loudly and shake him off while kneeling down. Akino then popped out and mauled the other Achilles, causing him to growl loudly before throwing him away with a shake of his leg.
I stood up and unveiled my sharingan once again, one last jutsu. I went through hand signs as he watched helplessly before me until Bisuke jumped around his neck to distract him, he swerved around and I launched forwards, my hand sparkling with the blue hum of my signature Chidori.
I sliced clean through the ape and he poofed back to his realm, my ninken leaving as well to recover, they would definitely get extra treats later. With my hand still bubbling with chakra, I spied Shin who was backing away from his literally disarmed opponent.
I dashed forwards and dealt with the summoner easily by piercing his heart on the other side, sliding my head band back down to cover my gifted eye. Shin asked what the hell happened, and I recounted my events while staying weary of the surroundings, Rin was still out there, and I had to help her.
Shin POV, Present time
"Okay, you go look for Rin and I'm going to help the others around here." I said, Kakashi nodded and jumped away. I pulled myself to my feet and put my blade into the ground to support me.
"Time to kill some jonin." I said while stumbling towards the nearest fight I heard. There were 14 Kiri shinobi surrounding Danzo, who didn't look scared in the slightest, he leaned back and fired off several gusts of wind that pushed them back before putting his hand up to fight.
"Kill him!" One of them shouted, jumping straight into the fray with a slash that Danzo easily dodged with a sidestep. Another threw some kunai that Danzo blocked with one of his own, then using the weapon to stab the shinobi he dodged before with excellent accuracy.
I made some hand signs and blew healing flames over my wounds, recovering slightly so I could fight a bit more. Danzo was about to be stabbed in the back and I thought about all the evil he did in the main series.
'If he died here, there would be no massacre, so much bad stuff could be avoided!' I bit my thumb in deliberation. 'But he hasn't done any of these things yet!'.
"Help him, it'll be more fun!"
The message appeared in front of my eyes, and I smirked. What good person ignores the audience's request? I jumped off of the ground and planted my kunai straight through the attacking shinobi's head, sticking it firmly into the ground upon my blade.
"Here to help sir."
"Good."
I placed a mud wall up to block several water bullets before summoning 8 water clones. They all jumped into the air and landed on top of my barricade, spewing white hot flames over the entire crowd in front of me. Every single body was charred as my squad stopped our attack.
I looked back to see Danzo handling his side with relative ease using taijutsu with a couple of ninjutsu sparingly. He ducked under punches and threw his opponents around like ragdolls with frightening efficiency.
I felt a warmth hit my back and I turned back around to spot my defeated enemies glowing white with a hooded figure standing over them with their hand out.
The forces rose up slowly and began to growl animalistically with their eyes glowing a dark maroon colour as they stared into me. I pulled out my second blade and hopped onto the ground, quickly racing around to fight the zombies, but my swords were caught on the newly somehow toughened flesh of the undead and my swords were dragged away from me.
"Uzumaki! What is going on here!?"
I could hear the humming of light from over the wall and concluded that some of his enemies had been revived as well. "If this is what I think it is, just obliterate the torso!"
"You will explain this afterwards."
I groaned and brought up my arms to block a swipe from a corpse, catching the arm and retaliating with a kick to knock it over into another. I dodged a punch to my back and stabbed a kunai deep into the offender's torso, causing it to liquify into a black goo.
I made a thunder spear in my hand and chucked it into the 2 stacked from my push, melting both of them on impact while I dodged a quick swipe from one behind me. The robed figure sat back on a rock and watched as I fought, all of the goo slowly collecting in front of them but nothing else.
I kicked a sacrifice in the face and back flipped to build distance, quickly launching 3 vacuum bullets as I landed to finish off the last of my group. The liquid they vanished into all collecting into the pool before condensing and floating into the air.
The robed figure put out their hands, laying them under the orb of pure darkness before it exploded in blue light, showing a crystal that had formed within. "I thank you for your continued contribution, Shin Chinoike, your power is needed to collect these after all." They held up the crystal in between 2 fingers while waving it at me as a taunt.
"Fuckin' luminos slaves." I growled out as they turned away, the member quickly turned around and gave me a smile before vanishing in a flicker. My wall crumbled and Danzo put a hand on my shoulder, "what was that all about."
"Well…" I said, thinking of a way to explain it easily and simply, thankfully I didn't need to as Minato appeared in a golden flash of light. "The fighting has concluded Danzo, we are victorious."
"Good."
"Minato, how's Kakashi?"
"He's fine, Rin is doing fine as well, they both survived without many injuries, though Kakashi is being affected with minor chakra exhaustion."
"Okay, thanks. I just got back from my summon cave after training, then I was forced to fight over here so I'm tired as hell." I pulled out a sleeping bag from my inventory and laid it on the ground while Minato chuckled out loud before walking away.
I got into my sleeping bag and promptly fell asleep, training was already tiring alone, not even counting the fighting I was just apart of. Minato would sort out everything while I was asleep, I hoped, so that ended another day for me.
I'm so tired, RAHHHH, I need coffee. Uploading this with a thousand less words than normal sorry, but I just wanted to end this chapter quickly. The next one will probably be longer since I have an idea on what to write.
Thank you all for the positive reviews! It's probably the only reason this chapter got done within a week anyway. Especially thank you to Aisu Fenn for supplying the good feels with every single chapter I write.
Now you may be thinking, 'why are you planning a sequel when you haven't even finished the first part of this 3 part story?', the answer is 'I don't know!', I just felt like it and I have most of this story planned out.
A quick question, do you want me to put each part of the story as a different book sort of thing, or should I keep it all in one so new readers don't need to scroll through my profile to find each one and pull it up on other tabs or whatever, please tell me!
I need to sleep bad, love you all - tired
