Chapter 16: "I'm not my father"
Xavier, with all his Gryffindor bravery, knocked on potions door and head an annoyed voice say "enter". He opened the door and was met by Snapes snarling face,
"what do you want Black? I am busy unlike you"
"I'm not my uncle…or father" Said Xavier looking Snape directly in the eye
"What?!" Snape was confused
"I'm not my uncle or father" repeated Xavier calmly "I'm not my mother either and neither is my brother or sister. I'm Xavier. Nothing more nothing less.
Snape, not knowing what to say, remained silent
"from what I understand even after being my sisters godfather you still think I'm this spoilt and arrogant brat who got it because of his fame. Fame isn't all people think it is, you know because of my fame most people make an opinion of me before they get to know me, if you consider yourself as someone close to my mother then please act worthy of her" added Xavier
With that Black left and left Snape in deep thought. The boy that he had continued to believe was spoilt and arrogant was actually intelligent, he doesn't reveal his fame and he's right. He noticed a few kids trying to befriend him just because they want to snag a bit of his fame, that last comment was memorable. Maybe he should have acted more worthy of Lilly since she gave him a second chance and why is he still having a grudge against Potter senior he had at least apologised, so maybe change was needed.
