Within the Macross Elysion's Medical center, the sounds of pained screams and gasps are heard from within as Mikumo is going through Labour.
Doctors were on the scene as Mikumo is laid on the bed with her legs bent and spread apart, her bodies lower half covered in a green blanket.
Mikumo grunts in pain while sweating hard, Ken is by her side as he holds her hands and just give her as much support as he could. Arad and the others waited by the side lines as they watch the painful labour that the Mysterious Venus is going through.
"I heard about pregnant woman going labour can scream and all." Said Hayate before he winced a bit when Mikumo screams in such pain. "but man! Singers make it sound like a normal scream compared to how Mikumo screams."
"just be quiet and give your support, Hayate!" Mirage told Hayate while shushing him.
Kaname, Freyja, Makina, and Reina prayed for a safe delivery as Mikumo is experiencing the painful moments of giving birth.
"we're almost done here!" a doctor stated as he with the nurses were by the bottom of the bed, clearly watching and surveying the birth of the baby. "Mikumo-san, please push as hard as you can! Your child is almost here!"
Mikumo screams while in pain as she cried to Ken who just hold her and did what he could do.
In a minute or so, Mikumo's scream faded into the room before the cries of a baby rang and replaced it.
Hearing the sound of a newborn baby's cries made everyone in the room feel a wave of relief go down their body as it means that a child has finally entered their world.
Ken and Mikumo slowly looks away as they see a nurse coming while holding a pink towel wrapped bundle in her hands.
"congratulations, Miss Mikumo" the Nurse stated as she passes the bundle to Ken who soon holds it gently and close to Mikumo. "you have a healthy baby girl."
Ken and Mikumo looks close to the pink bundle as they see a little scrunched face and little hands squirming around in it.
"Mio…" Mikumo muttered out while crying as Ken passes and lets her carry the baby in her arms. "….we finally meet you."
The baby girl now named Mio let out a few whimpers like noise before she slowly opened her eyes that were ruby red in colour alike with Mikumo's. Mio's vision is blurry but they slowly focused and the child now sees Mikumo with Ken by her side.
Ken and Mikumo smiles in tears as Mio look at them before smiling and lets out giggles while her little hands squirm around in the towel blanket.
Reaching his index finger out, Ken chuckled a bit in seeing Mio catching it.
Before long, everyone else went in to meet the newborn baby girl who looks as beautiful as her own mother.
"she looks so much like Kumokumo!" Makina squeals as Reina nodded in agreement, the Duo looks close at Mio who is falling asleep in Mikumo's arms.
"talk about getting her mother's looks, huh?" said Hayate with a small smile.
Mirage and Freyja blushes while looking at Mio who let out a squealing whimper before she smiles when Mikumo pecks her forehead to calm her down.
The door to the medical room soon opened as Arad with Chuck came in.
"sorry that we're late!" said Arad in greeting the group who soon shushes him in an instant because of Mio being asleep.
"wowee, did we miss the whole action?" Chuck asked while holding a bouquet of flowers.
"you two missed the whole thing." Kaname told the two while looking towards them before back to Ken, Mikumo, and Mio. "it was so beautiful…..Mio's first cry when she came into the world."
"so kyawawa" Makina added with a joyful smile while watching Ken and Mikumo, both just immersed in the world of meeting the baby girl.
Just as the peaceful moment was lasting, alarm rangs and instantly made Mio cry awake loudly.
"the alarms?" said Mirage as the alarm turns off in a minute while Mio still cries from the loud noise.
Arad takes out his phone and calls Ernest while Ken and Mikumo calms Mio's cries.
"Captain, what's the alarm about?" Arad called out.
'it's Scarlet Retran! she found Meltys and is in need of reinforcement!' Ernest replied on the phone. 'Scarlet is already prepping the Aether to take off along with Captain Siriunis' Cruiser! Hurry and get out there!'
"roger that" Arad replied before he looks at his team. "it's Meltys, prep up and ready to fly!"
"Roger!" Hayate, Mirage, and Chuck replied a bit quietly before they leave the room along with Arad while Ken stayed with Mikumo and Mio.
"I got to go" Ken told Mikumo who smiles and nodded in understanding before looking down to Mio whose cries are calmed down after the ringing alarm. The man traces a finger on the little girl's forehead before caressing it a few times. "Mio….be a good girl with your mother, alright?"
Mio whimpers before she stops and looks at Ken who smiles to her.
Ken soon moves away as he runs straight out of the medical center and went to catch up with Arad and the others.
"be safe" Mikumo muttered out while holding Mio close in her arms.
In the air, Ken's Stealth Class Cruiser flew straight for space while being followed by the Aether Cruiser that transformed into battleship mode.
By the hangar of Aether, the RAFAH units and mechanics were prepping and fuelling up every Siegfried unit docked in their bays. Ken is prepping within his Durandal that is getting its fuel and ammo check alongside the Messiah that is being equipped with a Heavy Armor Pack.
Ken wore his pilot suit on while adjusting the collar around his neck then puts on his helmet before he sees Scarlet's image appearing on the monitor.
"Fold Jump prepared in 20 minutes, and the baby stuff will come to the dorm by tomorrow afternoon." Said Scarlet with a smile. "Mio, huh? That's a nice name you two picked for the little girl."
"yeah" Ken replied while smiling before his face slowly turned serious. "Scarlet, get all weapons for the V-9 Ghost units in the red condition. We have to make sure.."
"I know" said Scarlet as the background of the screen went red while the AI woman's face went crazy mad. "if by chance…..I'll fire at her own ship thoroughly with dozens of missiles."
"get the same message to the others." Ken told Scarlet who nodded before she disappeared from the screen.
Ken took a deep breath before he sighs with his eyes closed and opened the next second. His red eyes glow violet once as the tattoo marks on his face glows violet.
The Orion that is docked a few bays away started to glow as if it is resonating with Ken's emotion.
"this time….for sure…" Ken muttered out.
The two battleship cruisers flew into the airspace of Ragna before disappearing into two Fold Jump portals that appeared in front of them.
