Chapter 18: Fun at Dave and Buster's

The next day, we went to Dave and Buster's for fun and games. We jammed out to NSYNC and 98 Degrees while we chatted with Elizabeth Mosh about eating chocolate in 4th grade in Churchill, Natalie Bay about watching a scary movie in 7th grade in Edgewood, Samantha Mifflin about baking cookies for her 4th birthday in Forest Hills, Taylor Paulson about singing karaoke in 9th grade in Monroeville, Abigail Mifflin about drinking fruit punch in 9th grade in Oakmont, Nicole Ellis about listening to music in 11th grade in Penn Hills, Emily Grey about sporting her new nightgown in 4th grade in Plum, Hannah Mifflin about telling a ghost story in 8th grade in Swissvale, and Sarah Ching about arranging her sleeping bag line in 11th grade in Wilkinsburg. "If we don't have caramel apple nachos tomorrow, can Samantha just give us the recipe to bake cookies?" Carly asked. "I would love to bake fall-shaped cookies," Spencer agreed. "I think we also baked cookies around that same time we made caramel apples in middle school, Carly," Mr. Benson stated. "I could use a drink here as I am not doing well at any of the games here, just like bowling at Zone 28 our senior year," Alex remembered. "Oooh, is that strawberry lemonade?" "No, Alex," Justin stated. "That is a Shirley Temple." "Shirley Temples are not all that great for you," Max pointed out. "I need to get a glass of water if you guys will just excuse me for a second," Alex stated. We jammed out to Kate Bush and Lizzo while we chatted with Grace Luster about staying up all night at 2 years old in downtown Pittsburgh, Sophia Cleng about having a pillow fight in 2nd grade in the North Side, Julia Robison about baking cookies in 8th grade in Oakland, and Rachel Luster about arranging her sleeping bag line at 11 years old in the South Side. "We could have had our own sleepover party when I was baby-sitting you and Angel, Henri," Sarah stated. "Oh yeah, with the card games and snacks," Henri agreed. "And, then James could have thrown us a sleepover party when he came back from his skiing trip instead of a regular house party." "I didn't feel like throwing a sleepover that day, Henri," James added. After we ate dinner, it was time for all of us to go home. "Thanks for a great evening, everyone!" I thanked my friends. "You're welcome, Angel," Sarah replied. "Good night, girls!" "Good night!"
