Be Gone, Light Ignis!

TWO SHOT! What if Dr. Kogami ran simulations on each individual Ignis and their compatibility with humans, rather than all of them in a group? What if Ryoken was sent to destroy one Ignis instead of all of them?

2. The Battle!

Light Ignis: 4000 lp

Varis: 4000 lp

The duel between the two fates of the human and Ignis race has begun. One side was an Ignis fighitng over the control of his fellow Ignis and turn them into mindless slaves, and the other was a human who is going to save them no matter how hard the duel will be.

"So…how shall we begin, my friend?" asked Light as he raised his arm and placed it on under his digital chin, "Who shall make the first move? You, or me?"

Varis thought over the possibilities of just the first turn since usually it would be better if he started the duel since his monsters aren't monsters that could be destroyed very easily, especially with their effects, but this time is the exception.

"You can go first." Varis stated as Light, even without a mouth, smirked as he swiped his hand and five cards appeared.

"Wise choice, my friend." Light automatically selected a card from his hand as on the Master Duel field, the Field Spell zone was occupied. "From my hand, I activate my Field Spell, Armatos Colosseum." As then everyone could feel the Cyberse shake.

"Woah, what's happening?!" yelled Dark as he can barely keep up.

"I think we are about to see what it is." said Fire Ignis as then the entire palace looked like a Colosseum in ancient times, with the other Ignis as spectators as they watched the two duelists duel for the fate of the World.

"This is my Armatos Colosseum. Varis, my friend, you must be familiar with this place since it is part of your human history, am I not correct?" asked Light as Varis narrowed his eyes.

"It is. The Ancient Romans in Rome and some parts of Croatia, but where are you coming from with all of this?" Varis asked and answered at the same time.

"Well think of it as this way: Both gladiators fought for their freedom for the entertainment of the other Romans, somewhat like us, but we are not fighting for our freedom, but the fate of everyone." Light said as then a card appeared on his hand, "But let's continue on with our duel. When this card is activated, I get to add an Armatos Legio monster from my deck straight to my hand which I will now summon from my hand. Appear, Armatos Legio Gladius!"

A statue of a gladiator with a helmet and a sword, wearing the usual gladiator clothes. Something tells everyone that they have to get used to seeing those monsters.

(Armatos Legio Gladius: Level 2 - Light Cyberse - Attack: 0. Defense: 800.)

"I know it isn't much, but it is enough for me to illuminate my circuit." a circuit with 7 arrows appeared on Light's side of the field as some were astonished that he was going already, as Gladius went in the middle lower arrow in Light Speed, making it now red, "The summoning condition requires at 1 Level 4 or lower Armatos Legio monster."

"Appear, the knight that fights for its freedom. I Link Summon! Link 1, Armatos Legio Decurion!" onto Light's Extra monster zone, appeared a warrior with a silver helmet, red cape, brown boots, white fur around his nether regions, silver pads on his arms with a sword in his hands as he ran with no shirt.

Light sent a card from his hand as a card then showed itself to everyone, "I send one Armatos Legio monster from my hand to the graveyard, so I can special summon from my hand my Armatos Legio Speculata."

A statue appeared onto the field that depicted a lone warrior with a cloak around his body, with a helmet on his head, some pants and a pouch on his pants.

Light then sent a card from his graveyard again as he pointed out, "Due to the effect of my Colosseum, I have to send one Armatos Legio monster from my hand, and summon an Armatos Legio monster from my graveyard towards an arrow of one of my Armatos Link monster I control, so I send Sica, to special summon from my graveyard, Scutum!"

A statue appeared of a knight kneeling with an orange-blue shield on his hands.

"I think I finally, for once, found out his strategy!" Every other Ignis looked at Wind, "His strategy is to summon a Link 1 monster, and then thanks to the great effect of his Field Spell, he can then summon monsters from his graveyard to summon even more monsters from his Extra Deck!"

"That's…a brilliant…strategy." admitted Earth.

"I just hope Varis can pull this off." said Water as she looked at Varis, who stood there, not making a single sound.

A circuit appeared on Light's field as Scutum and Speculata went into both of the middle arrows as lightning, "I now send my Scutum and Speculata in the Link Arrows so I illuminate my circuit."

"The Summoning requirements are two Armatos Legio monsters. From the valley of the battlefield, a warrior destroys all of his enemies into dust! I Link Summon! Link 2, Armatos Legio Centurion!"

A knight in actual shining arrow appeared onto the field with a green and purple cape to go along its look. It also wore a spiky spear that looked like an arrow as well. It appeared beneath Decurion as its one link was pointing at it.

"2 Link monsters on his very first turn." Varis narrowed his eyes at the move like that, it was impressive, but he could easily do that in his current hand, but something tells him that wasn't the only move he was about to do as he could tell he was hiding something.

"I know what you are thinking, my friend. Why is that Ignis summoning 2 weak Link monsters, right? Well, don't question it since I sent both of them in my Link Arrows so I can illuminate my circuit!" A circuit appeared onto the field as the two Link monsters quickly went in the top 3 Link Arrows with Centurion occupying 2 places.

"I Link Summon! The supreme ruler of the ancient! Link 3, Armatos Legio Plumbum Trident!" a spellcaster-like monster appeared onto the field wearing a purple robe around him as he also wore gray armour wearing a trident-like weapon. It is now occupying the Extra Monster Zone, pointing at Varis' field

"And when my monster is in an Extra Monster Zone, his attack points are now doubled." calmly said Light before any questions could be asked about his move.

Plumbum Trident: 1100 - 2200 attack points

Light then bowed lightly as he looked at his opponent, calmly cackling at the mere image of everyone's faces when they hear about his other effects, and the card he can add thanks to its effect.

"With that, you can go, my friend." Light said.

Turn 2. Varis - 4000 lp - 5 cards

"You think that's a good monster to defend yourself? I wouldn't think so," A card appeared on Varis' duel disk as he then drew it. He swiped his hand to the left and saw his entire hand. He then pressed one of the cards from his hand, "I will start by summoning Magnarokket Dragon in attack mode."

On his side of the field appeared a small dragon with a blue shell for its armour with some parts of it being red and black, with eyes being that of green as on top of its head was a missile. On the back, some small light blue wings appeared along with it on the back.

Varis then picked another card from his hand, "I will then activate my Quick-Play Spell card, Quick Launch." a card materialized in front of him revealing a powerful dragon.

Varis then began to explain, "With this card, I get to special summon a Rokket monster from my deck," a card appeared on his duel disk as he then took and revealed it towards the Light Ignis who stood there unimpressed, "I will choose my Metalrokket Dragon!"

On the left side of Magnarokket Dragon, appeared a dragon with a similar design as the other, but this time its colours were much deeper, there was no red, and on the top of its heads, the missile was much thinner.

(Metalrokket Dragon: Level 4 - Dark Dragon - Attack: 1700. Defense: 1400.)

"Varis may start slow, but if it goes to the route that I think he is going, then I believe that he is going to Link summon." said Fire as he crossed his arms as the rest looked on.

"You're correct, Fire Ignis, as I use my Metalrokket and Magnarokket Dragons in the Link Arrows so I can manifest my circuit!" a circuit appeared on the field on the only human in Cyberse, as the two Rokket monsters went towards two of its bottom link arrows.

"The summoning requirements are 2 Rokket monsters! I Link Summon! Link 2, Booster Dragon!" From the circuit appeared a gray dragon onto the field with a gun for its head. It both looked mechanical and lively at the same time as it was occupying Varis' Extra Monster Zone.

(Booster Dragon: Link - Dark Dragon - Attack: 1900. Link: 2. Link Arrows: Bottom-Left, Bottom-Right.)

What was left on Varis' hand were 4 cards as then he pointed one of them and showed it to everyone, "When you control a Link monster, I get to then special summon from my hand Gateway Dragon!"

A beige coloured dragon with red eyes appeared onto the field and along with it was a golden gate. It was now in the middle of Booster Dragon's and Plumbum Trident's Links.

(Gateway Dragon: Level 4 - Dark Dragon - Attack: 1600. Defense: 1400.)

"4 monsters on your turn? Impressive, my friend, but I am afraid that none of them are stronger than my Plumbum Trident." said Light Ignis as Varis then pointed at one of his cards.

"They will be once I summon my Rokket Caliber towards my Booster Dragon's other Link thanks to its effect!" Varis pointed at a card as it disappeared from his sight.

A long black dragon appeared onto his side of the field as it covered Gateway Dragon, Booster Dragon and Varis due to its size. It was covered by purple electricity. Its eyes were purple and its head was red and the bullet on his head.

(Rokket Caliber: Level 4 - Tuner - Dark Dragon - Attack: 1700. Defense: 100.)

"Isn't that… a Tuner monster?" asked Earth as the rest of the Ignis looked at the new monster.

"Oh yes! That means he can now Synchro Summon!" cheered Dark as the rest also cheered.

Light eyed the newly summoned monster, as he was cursing under his breath that he hadn't thought about making any other monsters other than Link monsters.

"Not quite, Dark Ignis, since I activate my Spell card, Cross Linkage Hack." A card materialized on his field as two cards appeared on Varis' duel disk.

"If I control a monster that has at least two monsters point to it," Light glanced at his Plumbum Trident as he saw one of its Link Arrows glow red towards Gateway Dragon, and so did Booster Dragon's, "I get to draw 2 cards from my deck!"

I now set my Rokket Caliber, Gateway Dragon and Booster Dragon into the Link Arrows so I can manifest my circuit!" A circuit appeared onto the field as the 3 dragons flew towards the Link Arrows, and took the 4 arrows as Booster Dragon occupied 2 Link Arrows.

"The summoning conditions are at least 3 effect monsters!" Varis pushed his arm as everyone could feel the monster going to be summoned, "My new wind that pierces through the closed world! I Link Summon! Appear now! Link 4, Borreload Dragon!"

From the circuit a dragon flew from it. It roared as soon as it landed on the ground, revealing itself towards every Ignis. The monster was mainly red, with the tail beaming with both red and green, as its mechanical arms flew at high speeds when roared, with wings that were red as blood and bright as plasma. Its head was that of a power dragon, with a gun in its mouth and the neck being that of a normal barrel.

(Borreload Dragon: Link - Dark Dragon - Attack: 3000. Link: 4. Link Arrow: Middle-Left, Middle-Right, Bottom-Left, Bottom-Right)

"This dragon is the face of your doom, Light Ignis! With its shots, you will be vaporized to smitterins when it reaches towards you!" Varis pointed at the Light Ignis as his dragon roared, agreeing with his master.

"Then we shall see, right my friend?" asked Light Ignis, not at all scared at the dragon.

"What!? Are you serious!? That thing can blast at you towards next Tuesday!" yelled Dark as Water looked at him.

"Dark, please calm down." she said.

"We shall. Right when I activate my Borreload Dragon's effect! I can target one monster on the field and it loses 500 attack points and the best part is that it can not be negated!" Varis stated as Light Ignis didn't move an inch as from the mouth a small beam was charged from Borreload Dragon, "Enemy Negation…FIRE!"

Borreload Dragon shot the beam at Plumbum Trident as it only lost a couple of attack points.

Plumbum Trident: 2200 - 1700 attack points

"Ahh, good, good, good. That means that Varis, the person that isn't trying to kill us, can now deal 1300 points of damage, instead of the usual 800 points of damage." Wind nodded his head as Varis then activated one more card from his hand.

"I then activate my Spell, Mystical Space Typhoon." a card materialized in front of Varis as a strong gust of wind appeared in the Spell card, "This card will then destroy your Armatos Colosseum!"

The gust of wind then went towards Armatos Colosseum and destroyed it.

The Light Ignis stayed calm as if it didn't even affect him at all.

Varis thought to himself if that was a horrible play, but shook that thought off as he then pushed a button to reveal safety glass on his eyes, "Battle! Borreload Dragon attack Armatos Legio Plumbum Trident!"

From the mouth of the Borreload Dragon, the gun inside extended as a powerful beam was then charged, "Thunder Borrel Cannon…FIRE!"

The beam was shot towards the Light Cyberse monster and it was decimated without a chance for a recovery, but Light was still…calm about this.

Light: 4000 - 2700 life points

Varis: 4000 lp

Varis breathed in and out from the powerful attack as the glass then went off, as he saw a card appear in front of Light's hands, knowing what he did…was a massive mistake.

"Thank you, my friend. Since when you destroyed my Armatos Legio Plumbum Trident, you activated its second effect: when it is destroyed by battle, I get to add a Judgment Arrows from my deck straight to my hand." Light showed it to everyone and they gasped.

It…

It was a…

It was a Link Spell.

How was that possible?

They didn't exist.

"And then I can set it on my Spell and Trap zone, along with it." Light quickly added the card from his graveyard to his hand as Plumbum Trident appeared on Light Ignis's Spell and Trap Zone.

Varis stayed calm as he then took a card from his hand, as it then disappeared, and then set it vertically behind his Borreload Dragon, "I end my turn with a facedown."

Turn 3. Light Ignis - 2700 lp - 2 cards

While Varis was calm about the entire thing, Light did spot some indications that he wasn't happy and angry at the plays he made during the duel. "What's wrong my friend? Are you angry that you made a mistake? That you should have kept that Spell card in your hand?"

Varis looked at the Light Ignis, and he can tell that he wasn't concerned about him, why would he when he was his opponent?

"Well, that should be expected from a human. You humans operate on what would be beneficial for the moment, and not for the entire duel, like how you do in your everyday lives. Only thinking about yourselves on the matter, and it is illogical for someone like you to outsmart an Ignis." said Light.

"That may be the case, but it is illogical for you to think that, since you are thinking about your survival, and not the other Ignis' survival," Varis said as Light narrowed his eyes, "You are fighting for your survival and harming other Ignis, only because you know that you can't live without destroying both races. I, on the other hand, fighting for both humans and Ignis. So isn't it illogical for you to think about that?" he asked a question.

"At the moment, you are right about that, but after this ordeal, you will see how illogical your thinking was." a card appeared on Light's hand as, even without a mouth, smirked.

A card appeared onto the field, "I will now activate my Armatos Lex! This Continuous Spell card has three effects that I can use, and I will pick the second effect!" His Armatos Legio Gladius and Armatos Colosseum appeared onto his field.

"I target a Spell and a Monster Armatos card in my graveyard and then I can place the Spell in my deck," His Colosseum flew straight towards Light as the monster went straight to his hand, "And my Monster returns to my hand."

Light quickly swiped to see his hand and quickly chose one of his Spell cards, "And now I will then activate my Armatos Lucrum! If I have 3 Armatos Legio Link monsters on my field and/or my graveyard with different Link Arrows," two cards appeared in his hands as Centurion, Decurion and Plumbum Trident showed themselves with their Link Arrows glowing red, "I get to draw 2 cards from my deck, and then no matter what effect is applied," Light's eyes narrowed as the Ignis felt a shiver going down their spines, "I have to conduct my Battle Phase."

"Ah Glitch! That means nothing can stop him from attacking!" Dark yelled out as Varis never broke his facade once, knowing that he will survive this turn.

Light then swiped his arm and saw his hand and then automatically picked the monster that he added, "And now I will be summoning my Armatos Legio Gladius in attack mode."

The first ever monster he summoned onto the field appeared once again.

(Armatos Legio Gladius: Level 2 - Light Cyberse - Attack: 0. Defense: 800.)

On Light's hand appeared a card with a smug look on his face, "Thanks to my Gladius' effect, I get to activate his effect. I am able to add a Armatos Colosseum from my deck straight to my hand, but I can't conduct my Battle Phase.`` There was a pause for everyone to think that out, but Light then started again, "But, thanks to Lucrum's other effect, that effect is nullified."

"Oh Byte." said the Fire Ignis.

"How true, my friend, but let's reintroduce our setting, shall we? I activate my Field Spell, Armatos Colosseum." right then the setting was changed to the setting was like they were battling they were battling in Ancient Rome as a card appeared on his hand.

"And thanks to my Field Spell, I get to add a Armatos Legio monster from my deck to my hand." the card was then revealed as Armatos Legio Segmentata, but was then showed to the backside.

"It's time to use my Armatos Legio Gladius so I can now illuminate my circuit." A circuit appeared on Light's field as his monster was then sent to the middle-left arrow, "The summoning condition is a Level 4 or lower Armatos Legio monster."

"Appear! Warrior that statures all of his opponents! I Link Summon! Link 1, Armatos Eques Flama!" From the circuit appeared a statue revealing a knight with a normal knight like helmet, robes that covered his hips, shoulder pads and a weapon that he uses it to throw at his opponents.

Light then picked one card from his hand and sent it automatically to the graveyard, "Thanks to the effect of my Field Spell, I get to send one Armatos Legio monster from my hand to the graveyard so I can special summon a Armatos Legio next to its Link."

"So I send Segmentata to special summon from my hand Armatos Legio Sica." On Light's side of the field, and the left side of Eques Flama, appeared a statue depicting a warrior with a golden dagger in his hands.

"So now, my friend, how about I show the final effect of my Plumbum Trident?" asked Light as Varis slightly gaped at the sound of that as Light narrowed his eyes in a mocking way.

He swiped his hand to reveal Centurion, "The final effect of my Plumbum Trident is that I can return a Armatos Legio Link monster from my graveyard to my Extra Deck, and with that I can special summon a Armatos Legio Link monster from my graveyard to a column this card points to!"

He took the card and then a card appeared on his hands and then placed it on the far right column of the monster zone, revealing it to be his Armatos Legio Centurion, "So revive from the depths of darkness, Link 1, Armatos Legio Decurion!"

"Oh…hard drive. Light has…now 3 monsters…on his side of the field…so he can now Link summon." said Earth as a circuit appeared on Light's side of the field.

"How right you are, my friend! I illuminate my circuit as I set my Decurion and Sica in the Link Arrows!" his two Armatos Legio monsters then went straight towards his two middle arrows at lightning fast speeds.

"I Link Summon! Link 2, Armatos Legio Centurion!'' As then, his Armatos Legio Centurion appeared onto the field again, right at the left side of Eques Flama which in return, both of their arrows were now blinking at each other.

Light then pointed another card from his hand and sent it to the graveyard once again, "And thanks to my Field Spell's effect. I send Galae from my hand to the graveyard to revive Gladius from my graveyard."

A statue depicting a brave warrior appeared once again onto the field.

"Y'know…I am really getting sick of seeing this monster." said Dark as Wind nodded his head.

"Yep, yep, yep, gotta agree with you on that one, Dark." agreed Wind.

A circuit appeared once again on the field, "I will now set my Armatos Legio Gladius so I can illuminate my circuit once more." his Gladius was then sent straight towards it in quick speed on the bottom middle arrow again.

"I Link Summon! Link 1, Armatos Legio Decurion!" his Decurion appeared on the right most zone of the monster zone, occupying the last Link Arrow of Plumbum Trident.

Varis stayed on guard for the entire turn, since he knew one of the cards in his hands was that card. The Spell with the Link Arrows. He thought it was impossible at the sounds of something like that.

How could that be?

It sounds like a situation like his Plumbum Trident, but more powerful, but why isn't he using it?

His thoughts were destroyed when the Light Ignis activated one of two cards left in his hand and the card materialized in front of him, "I will then activate the Spell card, Armatos Duplici. This card targets an Armatos Legio Link on my side of the field," his Centurion glew a yellow light.

"So I can special summon a copy of the targeted monster from my Extra Deck towards a Link monster's Link Arrow, so appear! Link 2, Armatos Legio Centurion." On Light's side of the field appeared another copy of Armatos Legio Centurion, right next to the other Centurion's second Link Arrow.

And now there were now 4 Link monsters on his side of the field that he was able to summon on this turn, but there was a down side, to him, that he couldn't get over Borreload Dragon.

"I will now illuminate my circuit one more time in this turn!" a circuit appeared on the field on Light's side of the field, "The summoning condition requires at least 2 Armatos Legio monsters, so I set my middle Centurion and Decurion in the Link Arrows!" his monsters went towards the circuit, with Centurion occupying 2 of the middle arrows while Decurion did the bottom middle arrow.

"From the dawn of the universe until its eventual end. There is only one constant... Light! And now I shall coalesce this brilliance. I Link Summon! Link 3! Armatos Legio Legatus Legionis!" from the circuit appeared a warrior with massive muscles and a tan, wearing a purple cape, shoulder pads, a knight's helmet, a massive sword and a big belt riding a big black horse with armour. It was in the middle of Eques Flama and Centurion's Link Arrows.

Varis narrowed his eyes at the monsters while the other Ignis stared at the monster created by the former leader of the Ignis' new monster.

"That has to be Light's strongest monster." said Water as Dark looked at her.

"What gave it away? The long speech?" asked Dark as the others shook their heads.

Varis looked at the monster and stared at why it was summoned in between those two monsters. Sure it could be a coincidence, but something in him was telling him it was a different story.

And his worries were correct as Light swiped his hand and automatically picked the last card remaining in his hand, "Due to a Link monster pointing at a Spell and Trap zone on my side of the field, I can activate the very card that will destroy all of humanity! Go, Judgement Arrows!"

A Spell card activated directly to the zone that Legatus was pointing at, which was a card that had 3 Link Arrows on the card, which pointed at directly towards all of his monsters, which now means that…

…Light planned for all of this from the very beginning.

"This card is very special, my friend, since during the battle, all of the monsters that this Link Spell points to…" Light lifted his head and his eyes narrowed in a threatening way, "their attack points are doubled."

"What?!" yelled the Ignis as Varis' eyes widened at the sound of something like that, but he would not stop.

"I activate Borreload Dragon's effect!" Varis shouted as from the Borreload Dragon's mouth a beam was charged, "I target a monster on your side of the field and that monster loses 500 attack points!"

"Enemy Negation…FIRE!" from the mouth of the Borreload Dragon was then shot a light beam towards the strongest Light's Link monster.

Legatus Legionis: 2400- 1900 attack points

"A nice try, my friend, but that won't stop anything." said Light as he will now conduct his Battle Phase.

Varis narrowed his eyes, "We'll see about that."

Eques Flama: 800 - 1600 attack points

Centurion: 1700 - 3400 attack points

Legatus Legionis: 1900 - 3800 attack points

"Battle! Armatos Legio Legatus Legionis attacks Borreload Dragon!" Light announced as his monster ran with his horse, raising its sword as it got close and finally struck at the powerful Link Dragon monster.

Light: 2700 lp

Varis: 4000 - 3200 life points

Varis was pushed back by the powerful attack, but that didn't stop him from activating his set card, "Set card activate! Borrel Safe Guard!" His set card revealed itself revealing a monster that looked like Borreload, but this time with a sword.

"When a Link monster I control is destroyed by battle, I gain 300 life points for every Link Arrow that it had, and I gain 1200!" yelled out Varis as a blue glow appeared on him very briefly.

Light: 2700 lp

Varis: 3200 - 4400 life points

But Varis wasn't done as he pushed back his arm, "And then, if the monster that was destroyed was a Borrel Link monster, I get to draw cards equal to the difference of its Link Arrows to the combined Link Arrows that you have on the field! Which means that I draw 2 cards!"

Two cards appeared on his arm which he drew.

Light was a little annoyed at the move, but if it meant that he could suffer more, he wouldn't mind that one bit, "Nice move, my friend, but that won't stop my Centurion attacking you directly!"

His Centurion jumped towards the field and ran towards the fighter for humanity and Ignis as the monster slashed him with its two swords.

He only grunted when the attack hit.

Light: 2700 lp

Varis: 4400 - 1000 life points

"If this last attack hits, Varis will lose!" yelled out Fire as Light yelled.

"That's what I am waiting for! Armatos Legio Eques Flama attack Varis directly!" his statue monster then flew towards Varis, as he swiped his hand and picked a card from his hand.

"Not so fast! When you declare an attack, I can special summon from my hand Checksum Dragon!" he yelled out as a red coloured velociraptor appeared on the field with wings shiny enough to blind someone.

"When this card is summoned onto my field by his effect, I gain half of his defense points!" yelled Varis as a blue light appeared on him briefly.

Light: 2700 lp

Varis: 1000 - 2200 life points

"Finally, my monster can not be destroyed in battle if summoned this way." finished Varis as Light laughed at that thought.

"That won't be happening! I banish my Armatos Duplici from my graveyard to negate any monster's battle protection! So your Checksum Dragon will be destroyed by my Eques Flama!" Light explained as a Spell appeared on the field and was then banished.

Eques Flama continued its way towards the newly summoned dragon and it destroyed it when it crashed against the Link monster.

Light: 2700 lp

Varis: 2200 - 1000 life points

Light gripped his hand into a ball, but shook it off, "And now, my friend, you can go with your turn." he said as the rest of the Ignis took a breather from that turn.

Eques Flama: 1600 - 800 attack points

Centurion: 3400 - 1700 attack points

Legatus Legionis: 3800 - 1900 attack points

Turn 4. Varis - 1000 lp - 2 cards

Varis drew the card that appeared on his duel disk and swiped his hand to reveal the cards in his hand and if any of them could help him with his current situation.

He looked at the three cards and picked the first one that came to mind, "I activate Final Offguard." he said as the card materialized in front of him as he began to explain, "When I have less life points than my opponent does and you are the only one that controls a monster from the Extra Deck," two cards appeared on his duel disk to which he took them, "I get to draw 2 cards from my deck!"

He swiped his hand once more and saw his options and nodded. He picked his Field Spell, "I activate my Boot Sector Launch Field Spell!" as then the Colosseum didn't disappear, it instead changed from ancient looking to advanced looking, something like from a Sci-Fi movie.

"A new change in scenery?" asked Light as Varis nodded.

"I thought it was necessary for this type of duel, which I will then activate my Field Spell's effect!" from the boosters that were added from his newly activated Field Spell, "I get to special summon Rokket monsters from my graveyard up to the difference that you have on the field! So I revive Magnarokket and Metalrokket Dragon!"

From the boosters were shot two dragons that he used for a Link summon the previous turn.

(Magnarokket Dragon: Level 4 - Dark Dragon - Attack: 1800. Defense: 1200.)

(Metalrokket Dragon: Level 4 - Dark Dragon - Attack: 1700. Defense: 1400.)

"Thanks to my Field Spell, my monsters' defense points are now raised by 300!" yelled out Varis as a blue aura appeared on the newly summoned dragons.

Magnarokket Dragon: 1200 - 1500 defense points

Metalrokket Dragon: 1400 - 1700 defense points

Varis then took a card from his hand and the card materialized onto the field as his Metalrokket Dragon was then destroyed, "I activate my Quick-Play Spell card, Squib Draw. I destroy one Rokket monster on my side of the field," two cards appeared on his duel disk, "I get to draw 2 cards!"

He drew his two cards, creating a small dust cloud in the process.

Varis swiped his hand once again to see his entire hand. He nodded as he then took one of the cards and began explaining, "If I control a Rokket monster on my side of the field, I get to special summon Absorouter Dragon from my hand!"

On to Varis' side of the field appeared a dark mechanical dragon with wings bigger than the Magnarokket. The dragon didn't look complete due to some wires peeking through it, but the mechanical screech and the green eyes glowing when summoned didn't make this beast any less unthreatening.

(Absorouter Dragon: Level 7 - Dark Dragon - Attack: 1200. Defense: 2800.)

Varis then took another card from his hand and placed it near Absorouter Dragon, "I believe I haven't normal summoned yet, so how about I change it? I summon Silverrokket Dragon!"

A long snake-like mechanical dragon appeared onto the field with the same bullet design as the other Rokket monsters. It was gray, or more specifically, silver coloured. Its wings, eyes and tail were a nice purple coloured and were that of lasers from a Sci-Fi movie.

(Silverrokket Dragon: Level 4 - Dark Dragon - Attack: 1900. Defense: 100 (- 400.).)

There was a pause at the moment.

Everyone looked at the number of monsters on Varis' side of the field, and with enough resources, he can summon a Link 3 monster, something was in their digital stomachs that wouldn't be enough for him.

They looked in anticipation at his next move as then a card materialized in front of them revealing number of strong and powerful dragons like Borreload Dragon in the artwork, "I activate the Spell, Borrel Half Replace! I target a Borrel Link monster from my graveyard…"

Borreload Dragon appeared as an afterimage behind Varis as he then finished his explanation as a card from his Extra Deck popped out, "...I get to special summon a Borrel Link monster with the same number of Link Arrows, but with a different name, from my Extra Deck! So appear! The Borrel monster that guards my Rokkets! Link 4, Borrelguard Dragon!"

On his side of the field appeared a dragon that most people and Ignis would confuse as Borreload Dragon, but it was different in some ways. Sure the colours, height and shape was the same, but its hands were that of a machine gun, the shape of the head was different with no black colouring and his back was that of a machine gun. When summoned, its orange wings appeared with it with its green eyes glowing when summoned onto the field.

"Man that's good, wait not good, not bad, wait I got it! That's great!" yelled Wind in applause as he saw that powerful dragon being summoned once again.

"But there has to be some drawbacks to that card, since I do not think it will be summoned without one." said Fire as Varis nodded at his words.

"Correct, unfortunately. A monster summoned thanks to Borrel Half Replace's effect, their attack points are halved, they can not activate their effects, and they are destroyed during the End Phase of the turn I activate Borrel Half Replace."

Borrelguard Dragon: 3000 - 1500 attack points

Light was quiet as he observed the entire board and he saw something noticeable on the field.

He remained still as he said, "So, my friend, you have 4 monsters on your side of the field, are you going to do something that I know that you are going to do?"

His question was answered as a circuit appeared onto the field, "I hope this answers your question as I manifest my circuit! The summoning conditions are at least 3 effect monsters, so I set Magnarokket Dragon, Silverrokket Dragon, Absorouter Dragon and Borrelguard Dragon in the Link Arrows!"

HIs four monsters did as they were told as they went straight towards 4 Link Arrows, one at the top, on the middle and two on the bottom as Varis began to chant, "My gale that slices open the closed world! I Link Summon! Link 4, Borrelsword Dragon!"

As then, a card that was similar to both the Borreload and Guard Dragons, appeared the same dragon with red black colouring scheme, blue orbs around the body and the size of a powerful dragon that would destroy everything in its way, the differences, on the other hand, are the wings were much bigger and defiant with on the back of the head was a massive blue sword strong enough to cut down any enemy in its way.

And now, they felt as to why he dueled the Light Ignis right now. The Dragon alone was enough to show that he shouldn't be underestimated. Kinda like the humans as well.

A card popped out of his duel disk as Varis took it, "When Absorouter Dragon is sent to the graveyard, I get to add a Rokket monster from my deck to my hand." he did so as he looked at his dragon.

"This dragon, Borrelsword Dragon, could be seen as the embodiment of the human spirit. Brave, determined and shouldn't be messed with!" Varis announced to everyone as his dragon roared in agreement, ready to protect any lives that it could save. "Battle! Borrelsword Dragon attacks your Armatos Legio Legatus Legionis with Electric Borrel Sword Slash!"

"What?!" yelled almost every Ignis at the sound of that as even Light was shocked at the sound of that as Judgement Arrows boosted all of the Armatos monsters.

Eques Flama: 800 - 1600 attack points

Centurion: 1700 - 3400 attack points

Legatus Legionis: 1900 - 3800 attack points

"If you are suicidal, then go for it my friend!" Light looked at his Link monster and ordered it, "Go! Counter attack Legatus Legionis!" his monster nodded as it went straight towards the LInk monster, with the monster going towards it faster than any bullet.

"I now activate my Borrelsword Dragon's effect! When it declares an attack; the monster that is attacking, until the end of the turn, loses half of its attack points while my monster gains those attack points!" yelled out Varis as the two monsters went straight towards each other, but their energies were much different then before.

Legatus Legionis: 3800 - 1900 attack points

Borrelsword Dragon: 3000 - 4900 attack points

Now the reactions were much different than before, "What?!/Yes! That means that Varis won and we are safe!"

But that won't be enough for the Light Ignis, it never will be enough, as he pointed towards his Centurion, "My Centurion's effect activates! It negates any battle involving an Armatos Legio monster!"

A barrier was formed just in the nick of time before the Borrel monster could land the hit, as the Armatos Legio monster went back to its place with the Dark Dragon following its footsteps.

"Oh come on! He just will never quit!" yelled Dark as if he would have hair, he would have ripped it out at this point.

Varis gripped his hand as he took one of the two cards in his hands as the attack points now dropped.

Eques Flama: 1600 - 800 attack points

Centurion: 3400 - 1700 attack points

Legatus Legionis:1900 - 950 attack points

He then placed the card that he took in his Spell and Trap zone, "I will set one card face down and end my turn." a card was set vertically, but that didn't meant that his turn wasn't yet done just yet, "During the End Phase: When Metalrokket was destroyed by a card effect, I get to special summon a Rokket monster from my deck, so appear Autorokket Dragon!"

On Varis' side of the field appeared a monster that looks similar to both to Metal and Magnarokket Dragon, but this it was beige in a lower position.

Borrelsword Dragon: 4900 - 3000 attack points

Legatus Legionis: 950 - 1900 attack points

Turn 5. Light - 2700 lp - 0 cards

A card appeared on Light's wrist to which he took it. He then immediately plays it, "I'll start by summoning Armatos Legio Magica Alcum in attack mode."

On Light's side of the field appeared a statue depicting a soldier with a black and red bow and arrow.

Light stayed quiet as everyone looked at him, alarmed at the eerie silence of the Leader of the Ignis, but then he cackled. It was slow…but then it grew louder and more maniacal.

It grew from a cackle to a chuckle to laughter, as everyone knew that this was going to be the end, whether they liked it or not. "This will be the end, my friend. As the summoning Conditions are at least 3 Armatos Legio monsters!" a circuit appeared on the field.

"I will set my Armatos Legio Magica Alcum, Eques Flama and Centurion in the Link Arrows so I can illuminate my circuit for the last time!" all of his monsters went in blinding fast speeds, as Eques Flama covered the bottom one, Alcum the top one and Centurion the two middle Link Arrows. Every other Ignis took a step back as they realized that his most powerful monster will be summoned.

Light then began to chant for the last time in the duel, "Bear witness to the commander who leads the might of the military! I Link Summon! Link 4! Armatos Legio Magnus Dux!"

From the circuit appeared a massive white elephant with golden armour around its body and on the shoulder parts of the body were cylinders that were used to destroy all of its enemies. On top of the elephant, was its leader, the same leader of Legatus Legionis sitting down on a throne-like seat with a red cape, golden shoulder pads and a golden helmet.

The scariest part?

One of Judgement Arrows' Links were pointing at the monster.

"Oh Glitch!"

"Oh Byte!"

"Oh…Hard Drive!"

"Oh my various Computer terms!"

"Oh my Cyberse!" yelled Dark, Fire, Earth, Wind and Water all at the same time.

But Light wasn't done as a Link Armatos monster appeared in his hand, "Plumbum Trident's effect activates once again! I return a Armatos Legio monster, in this case Eques Flama, so I can revive my Centurion right next to Magnus Dux's Link!"

What the leader of the Ignis said was correct, Eques Flama was sent back to the Extra Deck and Centurion was revived to one of Plumbum Trident's Link Arrows and the one that Magnus Dux was pointing to.

(Armatos Legio Centurion: Link - Light Cyberse - Attack: 1700. Link: 2. Link Arrows: Middle-Right, Middle-Left.)

Light then pushed his hand forward as they could tell that this has to be about his monster's effect, "Finally, I activate my Magnus Dux's effect! For every card that this card is Co-Linked, you have to return a card on your side of the field to your hand."

"What?!" yelled in shock for the first time, Varis.

He looked at the two monsters it was co-linked with it, and since Plumbum is now considered a Spell or Trap, it doesn't count. So he has to return 2 cards on his field which is something that he can't risk at all.

"I will choose your Borrelsword Dragon and your set card to go back into your hand." said Light as from the cannons of Magnus Dux were shot beams of Light towards the two selected cards as Varis had to react quickly.

"Not so fast! I banish from my graveyard, Borrel Safe Guard to activate its effect!" The card appeared on the field only to disappear as Varis explained, "I can return from my graveyard and/or field any number of Borrel monsters towards my Extra Deck and I gain life points equal to their attack points!" a Blue aura appeared on him as he took out his Borrelguard and Borrelsword Dragons from his graveyard and field and sent them towards his Extra Deck.

Light: 2700 lp

Varis: 1000 - 7000 life points

The blue aura disappeared and so did his set card, but he had to clarify one more thing, "One more thing, you can only declare 1 direct attack the turn I activate this effect."

Light gripped his hand in frustration as he sighed, "Fine. That is fine, my friend. Battle! Legatus Legionis attacks your Autorokket Dragon!"

Legatus Legionis: 1900 - 3800 attack points

Magnus Dux: 3000 - 6000 attack points

Armatos Legio Legatus Legionis charged in with his raised sword and slashed the Autorokket Dragon into pieces.

"Now, Magnus Dux attacks you directly!" yelled Light as the cannons of the big Link monster then pointed towards Varis and from it powerful beams of Light were then shot towards Varis, making him take the knee.

Light: 2700 lp

Varis: 7000 - 1000 life points

"VARIS!" yelled the rest of the Ignis.

"Are you okay?" asked Water in a concerned way as Varis stood up, with some minor problems.

"I am fine, Water Ignis, I am just…" he glared at the Light Ignis, "...ready to take that thing down and save everyone."

"Now what did I say about promises that you can't keep, my friend?" Light laughed at the mere thought of a human besting an Ignis, "If you truly still think that illogical statement, than I will have more fun with you than with Jin."

And just like that all eyes were on him, "What?" asked Varis as he was shocked at the name of one of the Lost Incident survivors.

"You've heard me, my friend. Jin Kolter, one of the Lost children." said Light as Varis glared at him that, if looks could kill, he would have won the duel.

"What have you done to him?" demanded Varis as he didn't ask him a question, he demanded an explanation.

"Well, well, my friend. If you truly want to know: During the Lost Incident and when Jin was dueling so he could survive the Lost Incident, I have decided to play a little game with him. I gave him constant nightmares and dreams of him getting rescued from the Incident, but everytime he would even feel a semblance of freedom and happiness, I brought him back. Over and over and over. I am the reason why he never even speaks. Not even to his own brother in the mental hospital. All because he still thinks that this is not over. And I have to admit, I am no Wind Ignis, but that sure was a fun time for me."

There was silence in the Cyberse world, the longest it has ever been in the world as they let the words sink into their brain. The mere thought of doing that to anyone was sick enough for them to physically unable to move.

Varis gritted his teeth, his sole objection of destroying the LIght Ignis was made even bigger at the sound of that. "You monster." Light looked at him, "You monster! You think of everyone as just someone to play with with!? The reason that someone can't even speak to their own brother!? To only reason why he was like that for years is because of you!?" It was not normal for Ryoken to burst like that.

He was a calm and collected individual, so to see this type of reaction was rare to see.

"I will murder you, Light Ignis! For the word of not only the human and Ignis race, but for Jin!" yelled Varis as Light didn't even move.

He merely scoffed at the idea of a human doing that to an Ignis.

"I would love to see that. You can go ahead, my friend." said Light.

Legatus Legionis: 3800 - 1900 attack points

Magnus Dux: 6000 - 3000 attack points

Turn 6. Varis - 1000 lp - 2 cards

A card appeared on his duel disk as he drew the card. He swiped his hand and his thought about summoning one of his Link 4 monsters were interrupted when he saw one of his cards.

He first pointed out, "I activate my Boot Sector Launch's effect! I summon Rokket monsters from my graveyard up to the difference that you have on the field, so revive Magnarokket Dragon, Rokket Caliber and Silverrokket Dragon!"

From the boosters on the floor, three similar looking dragons with varying sizes, shapes and colours were spat out in a lower position than normal.

(Magnarokket Dragon: Level 4 - Dark Dragon - Attack: 1800. Defense: 1200 (- 1500.).)

(Rokket Caliber: Level 4 - Tuner - Dark Dragon - Attack: 1700. Defense: 100 (- 400.).)

(Silverrokket Dragon: Level 4 - Dark Dragon - Attack: 1900. Defense: 100 (- 400.).)

Varis then took a card from his hand, "And then, appear Shellrokket Dragon in defense mode!"

On the field appeared a small beige coloured dragon with an open yellow armour, with wings bigger than the others, but this time in a lower position. Almost all dragons looked the same, only the colours were different.

(Shellrokket Dragon: Level 2 - Dark Dragon - Attack: 1100. Defense: 2000.)

Varis then took the remaining cards from his hand, "I will end my turn with 2 facedown cards." two cards were set vertically behind the 4 Rokket monsters as almost everyone were baffled at the move, but only 2 remained still.

"What?! Why!? You could have summoned Borrelsword Dragon and win the duel! Why wouldn't you do that!?" yelled Dark as Fire placed a hand on his digital shoulder.

"Dark, I think I know why he didn't do that. Look at the number of cards Varis has on his side of the field," everyone did take a closer look as they noticed something, "Varis has enough resources to either survive until the next turn if Light uses his monster's effect on the Spells and Traps, or could use Spells or Traps if they are useful in this situation. If he chooses either, he either survives the turn or wins the duel, it all depends on Light's action."

They all looked at Light as even without showing it, Varis was grinning like crazy when he saw the eyes going all around thinking about a logical way to end him during this turn.

Turn 7. Light - 2700 lp - 0 cards

A card appeared on Light's hand. "Well played, my friend, well played. You have proven to be quite the powerful opponent, but I will still win this. I activate Magnus Dux's effect! For every monster that this card is co-linked with, I can return 2 cards on your side of the field! I choose your Rokket Caliber and your left set card!"

The cannons on Magnus Dux then pointed towards Rokket Caliber and Varis' set card as a beam was flown towards them and they were sent back to his hand, not that minded him.

Light picked a card that he just drew and announced it, "I will now summon Armatos Legio Sica in attack mode."

On Light's side of the field appeared a statue depicting a warrior with a golden dagger in his hands.

Light then pushed his arm forward as a circuit appeared on the field, "I will now set my Sica in the Link Arrows so I can illuminate my circuit once again!" his Sica flew at light speed in the Middle left arrow, "I Link Summon! Link 1, Armatos Legio Eques Flama!"

From the circuit appeared a statue revealing a knight with a normal knight like helmet, robes that covered his hips, shoulder pads and a weapon that he uses it to throw at his opponents.

It was on the left side of the Judgement Arrow's Links.

Every Ignis then saw the number of monsters on Light's side of the field as Light Ignis then began, "Battle! Armatos Legio Eques Flama, Centurion and Legatus Legionis! Destroy Magnarokket Dragon, Silverrokket Dragon and Shellrokket Dragon!"

Eques Flama: 800 - 1600 attack points

Legatus Legionis: 1900 - 3800 attack points

Magnus Dux: 3000 - 6000 attack points

All of his monsters then charged towards all of Varis' side of the field as Eques Flama threw his weapon towards Magnarokket Dragon, Centurion used his spear to strike Silverrokket Dragon in its body and Legatus Legionis slashed Shellrokket Dragon.

And now, Varis' field was then destroyed and was all empty with the exception of his lone set card that destroyed every Ignis' hopes.

Light laughed, "It seems that your lone set card was just a bluff. A card that wouldn't have changed anything at all." he pointed at Varis who had a stoic face the entire time, "Magnus Dux…

…Destroy him."

His Link monster did as it was told as its cannons pointed at Varis as beams from it were charging, stronger than ever. It looked as if it will explode if it didn't blast right this second, but it was then blasted towards Varis, "I won."

"Are you sure about that?" Every Ignis looked at Varis who had a grin on his face as he pointed towards his set card, "I will now activate the very card you ridiculed, go! Appear, the barrier that protects all of the humans and the Ignis, the holy barrier itself!"

His set card was revealed as it absorbed the attack from Magnus Dux creating a powerful barrier, protecting Varis from the attack.

"YES!"

"NOOOOO!" yelled Light as the rest of the Ignis cheered at Varis' trap card.

"My Trap, Mirror Force, destroys every single attack position monster on your side of the field! Be gone!" Varis explained as his Trap obliterated every single monster on Light's side of the field.

And now, it was clear on who had the advantage in the duel. Sure Light does have more life points, but Varis on the other hand had two cards that he could use in his hand, and if he draws a monster, he could use them for a Synchro Summon.

Light gripped his hand as a card appeared on his hand, "I am not done yet, human! I activate my Plumbum Trident's effect! I return Armatos Legio Legatus Legionis so I can revive Armatos Legio Magnus Dux on my field!"

Light revealed the card he returned as then Magnus Dux appeared on the field creating a small earthquake in the Cyberse. Its bottom link was pointing towards Judgement Arrows' top Link Arrow.

Light glared at Varis, "I end my turn.", but before the Turn count become of that of 8, Varis continued, "The effects of my destroyed Rokket's activates! During the End Phase of the turn they were destroyed, I can special summon Rokkets from my deck to the field, so appear Rokket Synchron, Rokket Recharger and Autorokket Dragon!"

On Varis' side of the field appeared a big bulky blue dragon that was bigger than the other dragons with light blue wings, a dragon with a somewhat broken red armour with orange wings occupying with the light green ones and a beige coloured dragon that he summoned some turns ago.

"So this was the reason why you let me destroy your Rokkets in the first place?!" yelled Light, all of his stoicness being destroyed once a card appeared on Varis' duel disk.

Turn 8. Varis - 1000 lp - 2 cards

Varis took the card he just drew and yelled, "Precisely!" He swiped his hand to reveal his hand to him and raised an eyebrow at cards. He picked one of them, "I summon my Rokket Caliber!"

On the field appeared a black mechanical dragon that surrounded all of Varis' monsters. The same dragon that will be the one of the monsters that puts the end of Light.

The Ignis looked on as they saw 4 powerful, but not as powerful as Magnus Dux, roared in power as Varis has options of either Link, Synchro or XYZ summoning his monsters, but he decided to pick a different summoning method for later.

He swiped his hand to activate a card as the card materialized in front of Varis, "I activate the Spell, Rapid Trigger! I can use this card so I can Fusion summon a monster from my Extra Deck by destroying two monsters for the Fusion summon!"

"What?!"

"A Fusion summon?!"

"That's right! I destroy my Rokket Synchron and my Autorokket Dragon so I could create a monster that will change the tide of the duel!" His two dragons exploded, but the bits and pieces that weren't destroyed turned into either a blue or red colouring as they went forward in a Spiral Vortex.

"When the roar and anger merge together, they coalesce into the source of all rage! I Fusion Summon! Borreload Furious Dragon!" From the united Spiral Vortex made from his two dragons, a dragon that was similar to that of his Borreload, sword and guard dragons, but there were differences.

For one, there were spikes on the tail, the end of the tail was that of a spear, his dragon's head shape was different than that of the regular ones, the winds, feet, tail, head, horns and shoulders were a deep shade of purple. The dragon roared when summoned, making everyone that weren't Light or Varis shield themselves.

(Borreload Furious Dragon: Fusion - Level 8 - Dark Dragon - Attack: 3000. Defense: 2500.)

"This is the monster that will change the tide of the duel, Varis? My apologies, but even if you lowered its attack points, my Magnus Dux will have more than your dragon." stated Light as Varis smirked.

"Are you sure about that?" for the second time, everyone looked at Varis who pointed at his dragon, "My Borreload Furious Dragon has an effect! I target one monster on my side of the field, and one monster on your side of the field, and destroys both of them!"

"Woa hoh! That means no matter what monster he picks, Varis will have enough to win this duel!" cheered Dark as purple electricity engulfed it.

"I will target my Borreload Furious Dragon and your Magnus Dux, so I will destroy both of them! Borrel Blast of Supremacy…" Varis began as his dragon contained enough electricity to destroy a building, "...FIRE!" he yelled as his dragon shot a powerful bolt of electricity towards Magnus Dux, destroying it, and itself from too much energy.

Despite losing his strongest monster, Light stayed calm the entire time, knowing that he would survive such a powerful attack, due a certain card he has on the field.

"You are awfully quiet, Light Ignis." stated Varis as Light remained his calm composure.

"Well, despite me losing my best monster, I still have a big chance of survival, while yours don't." said Light as Varis raised an eyebrow.

Varis then smirked, "Well I hope I change that chance with this!" He pushed his hand once more as everything seemed to go all black and white, except for the colour of their eyes, "I tune my Level 4 Rokket Caliber with my Level 4 Rokket Recharger!"

His two remaining dragons went full speed as his monsters turned into rings of blue, both turning into 4 rings.

4 + 4 = 8!

Varis then began to chant, "The fuel of the cosmos mixes with the boundaries of speed to transcend the beyond! I Synchro Summon! Borreload Savage Dragon!" the rings then exploded as bright light appeared behind Varis.

From the bright light appeared a dragon that made Furious Dragon look like a children's toy. The dragon had a mixture of a beautiful white combination with the red, black and light blue as all of the blue parts became even more powerful by the second. The Dragon roared when summoned, ready to destroy the Light Ignis.

(Borreload Savage Dragon: Synchro - Level 8 - Dark Dragon - Attack: 3000. Defense: 2500.)

Every Ignis stared at the dragon, only the Light Ignis not even impressed or scared of the dragon as he would simply survive the next turn.

"Borreload Savage Dragon has many effects, the first being that I can take 1 Link monster from my graveyard and equip it to my Savage, and I pick Borreload Dragon!" yelled Varis as a card appeared on his hand and placed it in his Spell and Trap zone, appearing behind the Savage Dragon.

"The other two effects are then activated! My monster gains a Borrel Counter for every Link Arrow my Borreload has, and that means 4!" 4 mini orbs of life appeared as, like a gun's barrel, was loaded into the barrels one after the other.

Borrel Counters: 0 - 4

"And then my Borreload Savage Dragon gains attack half of that of my Borreload Dragon, so that means 1500 extra attack points!" yelled Varis as his dragon roared with even more power.

Borreload Savage Dragon: 3000 - 4500 attack points

"Woah, woah, woah! That dragon has enough, wait no, just enough, no, more than enough to blast Light to Kingdom Come!" Cheered Wind as Water looked a little sad.

"What is…it Water?" asked Earth as he looked at her.

"It just…don't you feel a little bad for what is about to happen to Light?" everyone turned to her, "I mean, sure he did try to harm us, but that was for his own survival, and he is still one of us. I just really don't want to end like this."

"Water, I get what you are trying to say, but I feel like this is the better outcome. Even before all of this, he tortured his own partner before all of this and without him, we and humans could co-exist." said Fire as he crossed his arms, sad that he has to give the harsh reality to Water, but he has to say it out loud.

"Now!" every other Ignis that wasn't the Light Ignis turned to the field as they saw Varis pointing towards the Light Ignis, "This is the end! BATTLE! Borreload Savage Dragon attacks you directly!"

From the mouth of the powerful Synchro monster a beam was formed as the shot became even more powerful by the second, "Borrel Fire Of Thunderclap…" Varis closed his eyes for couple of second as he threw his arms aside and opened his eyes, "...FIRE!"

The beam was shot towards the Light Ignis, ready to finish it, but Light Ignis had one more thing up his sleeve, "Not so fast! I activate my Armatos Lex's effect!" Light's Continuous Spell card glew.

"When a direct attack is formed while I have this card on my side of the field, I can negate that attack! I will surivive this turn and will defeat you Varis!" yelled Light as a shield was formed to protect him from the attack.

"No you are not! I activate the final effect of Borreload Savage Dragon's effect! When my opponent activates an effect, I can NEGATE it by discarding one Borrel Counter from it!" yelled Varis as an orb appeared from the barrel of Savage Dragon towards its mouth.

Borrel Counter: 4 - 3

"WHAT?! NO!" yelled Light, "I can't lose to a human!"

"With this…"

"Varis won." began Dark and finished Earth.

"Looks like I changed that! Enemy Negation FIRE!" a beam was formed in Savage Dragon's mouth and was shot quickly, destroying the shield before the attack could go through.

"Be gone, Light Ignis!" yelled Varis as the beam that was made couple of seconds ago, moved faster and faster by the second as it went to the Light Ignis.

"No! No! NO! I CAN'T LOSE! NOOOOOOOOOO!" yelled Light Ignis as the bullet went through him. He fell towards the ground, and he tried to get away from him, but the shot was too powerful for him to even move as then…

…he was slowly but surely being removed from the Cyberse for all of eternity.

Light: 2700 - 0 life points

Varis: 1000 lp

VARIS/RYOKEN KOGAMI: WINNER!

It was quiet for everyone. The Ignis saw the destruction of their fellow kind, but felt safe that after all of this, they and humans could finally coexist. Varis, or more so known as Ryoken, finally felt his destiny of saving everyone, even the life of Jin Kolter.

Ryoken was taking deep breaths, in and out, "I won the duel."

"I saved everyone."

Ryoken fell to his knees, and smiled as his main goal was finished.

Destroying the Light Ignis.

Ryoken passed out on the ground with everyone other Ignis running towards him, in worry for the only human that has ever entered the Cyberse.

Meanwhile, at the Mental Hospital

Jin Kolter, one of the Lost Incident survivors, was in a mental hospital. While he was friendly and didn't cause any trouble towards anyone, everyone knew that there was something wrong with the poor boy.

The boy doesn't speak with anyone, not even with his older brother, Cal Kolter.

He was quiet. Nice, but quiet.

Every once in a while he would wake up from a nightmare where he keeps saying that he doesn't want to go back there, he doesn't want to relieve that painful memory, that horrible feeling of never seeing his older brother again.

One day, this specific day of the Light Ignis dueled Varis, his older brother Cal visited him, which he always does around this time of the week. He talked with him, well tried, as he began to talk to the coworkers if anything has improved, which it did, but it wasn't big.

But all of a sudden, he felt something in his mind, he felt safe.

He felt happy.

He felt freedom that he was finally free from everything.

"Cal…" Kolter turned around to his younger brother as soon as he said something with hope and smiles when he saw him smiling, "...I am free. I am happy."

Cal brighten up at his younger brother, "Glad to hear."

And done. This was…fun. So damn fun writing this duel since while I did like Varis vs Lightning, but I decided to make something different since I really didn't like how it ended.

If it ended in a draw, I would have been completely fine with the end, but Lightning using Jin's data on himself to survive, which I really didn't like at all.

I decided to use Furious and Savage Dragon at the end since my original idea of Magical Stone Excavation with MST, and then Rokket Synchron would be extremely boring and underwhelming. I decided to end this like Varis vs Windy. With Savage negating a card effect that would negate an attack.

And now I will write the card database for my GX Rewrite, and then plan out the duel with Yuri and then write the chapter.
