Dream, Girl
Emma Nelson couldn't get out of bed. She was ,way too depressed. She had recently found out her biological father had brain damage, after thinking he was a doctor. Then, to top it off, her best friend Manny Santos starts showing off, because all the guys thought she was hot for dressing like a slut. They aren't speaking. And to put the cherry in the ice cream sundae, Emma's brother Jack, wouldn't shut up. WAAAAH! That's exactly want Emma wanted to do.
"Emma! Do you want waffles or french toast?" Her step-dad Archie "Snake" Simpson asked. He was also her Media Immersion teacher at school.
"I'm not hungry right now," she said. She wanted go into a eternal sleep. Cheery Emma. Miss save the world, hug a tree Emma, feeling crappy. "Ugh..." she moaned...
"Emma, wake up!" Caitlin "Spike" Simpson, her mom, called, "You have company!"
Who could it be...for me? She thought.
When she finally got out of bed she saw Toby, Craig, and Sean on her couch. Toby Isaacs had a crush on Emma two years before. Emma had a crush on Craig Manning for a while one year before. She and Sean Cameron went out on in off in the previous years. All the boys at Degrassi Community School, that have had a love connection with her.
"What are you guys doing here?" Emma asked.
"We're here to take you on a date..." Sean said.
"...because we LOVE you Emma Nelson..." Craig said.
"...and 'cause you hot," Toby said.
Emma was baffled. "Are you sure you're at the right house? I thought everyone is into Manny now."
" Emma, who could think of anything besides you?" Craig asked.
Emma giggled. "Why thank you!"
"So let's get going." Sean said.
As they walk out of The Nelson's house, Emma sees Manny on the street in a belly shirt and booty shorts, cold and shivering, still trying to be sexy. She also sees Paige Michalchuk and Hazel Aden scowling at Manny. Then they turn their attention to Emma and all three try to run after her. But Emma runs faster and escapes.
She stops on a street corner to look back. When she looks forward she's in a restaurant. "Huh?"
"Sit down Emma darling," Craig said.
"You're sure looking beautiful." Toby complimented.
"I'm just wearing my pajamas." She looks down to see she is no longer wearing pajamas, but an elegant burgandy, glittery, strapless dress. "Wow, now this is freaky."
Emma looked in the menu. On the cover they had a picture of Liberty van Zandt, her friend. "Your manager." Emma read aloud. Chris Sharpe and J.T. Yorke walked up to her.
"May I take-" J.T. started.
"I saw her first, you country bumpkin!" Chris said.
" Totally not. I saw the babe first."
" No you didn't. I'm taller and I saw her over the counter."
"It's okay guys, you can both wait on me." Emma said cheesing.
She looked at another table and saw Manny, Paige, and hazel making fists. She got creeped, and left.She went inside the movie theater. "Whew..."
Everybody in the theater was Manny. They chanted, "See how it feels to have attention?! You get attacked by jealous people."
"I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I'm..."
Emma woke up..."It was a dream." She cried for a while.
