The Parahuman known as the Queen walked into the small town.

Of course, people would likely assume that Queen was a parahuman; while her sense of coloration was exceptionally brilliant amongst the human population, only parahumans, actors and cosplayers would dare to dress as she did and manage to walk properly.

Despite being half-Japanese, her multicolored hair looked natural. Her miniskirt fluttered in a way that prevented the disgusting onlookers from seeing what was beneath. And her body's proportions were perfect in every conceivable way, only matched by the specific outfit she wore.

Of course the common rabble gawked as the pinnacle of beauty and power strode in their presence.

Such pathetic creatures they were, to require hours upon hours of needless effort to obtain even a fraction of the beauty she had.

And worse, they would work their entire lives and achieve ultimately nothing of value. Which made her presence in this quaint little town perfectly justifiable.

In her vast brilliance she was going to test out the efficiency of her new, unique, aerosol biological agent on the local townspeople. If she liked the results, she would use it in priority areas of the Honshu Island; and in their weakened states, the Yakuza and smaller groups would be unable to stop her from blitzing them, allowing her to take over the entire island.

She'd be like a Japanese version of Moord Nag, assuming that the African Warlord succeeded in her current campaign near Congo.

Maybe she could become friends with the small team of Rogue/Vigilante parahumans known as the 'Hakurei Shrine'? They didn't compare to someone as great and magnanimous as herself, but they were able to force the Japanese Warlords to give them wide berth. Maybe they'd become besties!

Once out of sight of the rabble, she activated the cannister she had, which sprayed the biological agent into the air.

...

The great and magnanimous Parahuman walked down the road, looking at her work; the people were slowing down their movements as she wanted... but not as much as she wanted. 1/100th the speed was what she was going for, but nobody was slowed down to even 1/50th, some were still moving at 1/10th their normal speed.

No... no, she was right; she just so happened to be moving at twice the speed normal people were. That was totally the issue! She didn't fail, she's just that awesome!

Although... Why were they starting to drop to the ground?

Before she could continue that train of thought, her instincts told her to look into the sky and she saw a floating... Shrine Maiden? Did the leader of the Hakurei Shrine come to see her handiwork?

Queen closed her eyes and smirked. Of course, only someone as awesome the Hakurei people would understand her-

...

The needles only went up to half way into even the softest targets. The specific non-host member of the subject species could not defeat her.

But the abnormal non-host still killed the host within seconds of their encounter.

"And that makes 15 dead parahumans," the non-host muttered. "Suika, Aya; the air."

...

The corpse of the parahuman known as Queen laid upon the ground with two 1 foot long needles sticking out of her head.

"Alright," said Reimu Hakurei, priestess of the Hakurei Shrine and mortal servant of the 'deified youkai' Suika Ibuki and Aya Shameimaru. She gripped the two needles and pulled them out of Queen's skull before looking to the recovering townspeople who were getting back on their feet.

"Can everyone breathe? Did I get all of the airborne... pathogen?" she asked, as if pathogen wasn't a word she spoken before.

"I'm alive... I'm alive!" shouted one townsman despite his gasps for air.

"Thank you so much!" another one said.

"Don't thank me," Reimu responded. "Thank the goddesses Ibuki and Shameimaru. Although, if you want to repay me for besieging them... I do need help with something."

...

The explanation was wordy, and sounded like the priestess of the Hakurei Shrine didn't know what she was talking about in her yammering. However, once she was done...

"So in summary; you need a computer that can get internet access on the coast closest to Kyushu?" asked Rinnosuke Morichika, an tall albino man who owned a shop in the town.

"I think so," Reimu answered.

"Hm," he mumbled. He turned to the other men who were present and listening in. "Yumeta, Boozer, I think I can get her what she needs. Mind helping me out?"

...

It wasn't long before the three men managed to get a functioning laptop computer, accessories for it to work, wireless internet accessibility, and a working battery pack all into an easy to carry box.

"Do you know how this stuff works?" one of the men asked as he handed the carefully filled box to Reimu Hakurei.

"No, but that shouldn't be a problem... Do any of you know how to work this stuff and want free fortunes?"

At the reminder, the men recalled that Reimu Hakurei sold fortunes which so far had never been wrong.

Rinnosuke, whose shop had been suffering, was the first to raise his hand.

"Great, Aya will be carrying you."

"Aya Shameimaru?" the albino man asked. He didn't see said black winged woman right behind him, reaching around his waist.

...

Two hours later, Rinnosuke found himself on the South-western beach of Shikoku. Having been rattled by the experience of being carried while flying at over 200 miles per hour, he fell onto his knees when the so-called goddess let his feet touch the ground.

"Are you okay?" Aya Shameimaru asked. "Take deep breathes, and try to relax while the priestess prepares herself."

"Prepare herself?"

"Supposedly, she's foreseen herself dying today," the winged parahuman said before she took to the air. "And she told me not to interfere."

Rinnosuke did not know how to respond to that.

I'm getting this information straight from Reimu Hakurei who runs the Hakurei Shrine and has so far never steered wrong the customers who go to her for Fortune Telling.

Each post will be dedicated to a different place. Please forgive my poor English.

Number 1: Canberra, Australia, February 24th

Primary Target: Airborne Pathogen

Secondary Targets include...

In space, a woman with alabaster skin and adorned with feathered wings slowly orbited the Earth. Her legs and arms were folded in, and she was covering a good part of herself with the two largest of said wings.

In the distance, specialized satellites programmed to stay out of her reach kept various kinds of video cameras trained on her.

The woman's orbit was having her fly towards the southern hemisphere of the planet. But then, she turned, moving northwards in her orbit.
