Back inside Karen's apartment, the squad sat in the living room watching a classic, horror film from the 80s. Andy, Falyn and Pugg were facing the screen while Chucky stood in front of his "big brother".
"Do you want to play now, Andy?" Chucky asked with his innocent, blue eyes.
"Not now Chucky! We're watching TV!" replied Andy without looking at him. He was too busy staring at the TV screen.
People on the TV were running and screaming in terror. The squad (excluding Chucky) laughed at the movie as they found it amusing. They watched the chaos unfold as the movie played.
Feeling left out despite him being a robot, Chucky watched the others as they watched TV. His head spun around to the screen and saw what they were looking at.
It was a violent movie.
His head spun back to the squad. He saw their facial expressions.
They all looked happy. They all were smiling and laughing at what they were seeing on the screen.
So this is what makes them happy? Was violence the secret to putting a smile on their faces? That's what Chucky thought. If this movie can make them happy, why not him? So Chucky walked away to find something violent. He remembered watching Andy cut a sandwich with a knife. He made his way to the kitchen and found a chair. He pushed it in front of a table and climbed onto it. He looks across the table and finds a knife block with several black handle knives. So many to choose from. Chucky pulled out a knife and saw that it was too skinny. Chucky pushed it back into the knife block and pulled out another one. This knife was a little bigger but still not what he wanted. So he pushed that one back into the knife block. This time, Chucky just happened to pull out a knife that was the perfect size. So that was it! Chucky was going to use a kitchen knife to make them all happy...especially Andy! Chucky rejoined the squad with a kitchen knife holding it up as if he was about to stab somebody. And he was! He greeted them with, "Heads up guys!"
The squad turned around. They all saw Chucky standing in the corridor of the kitchen and living room.
"Whoa! Now that's priceless!" said Pugg before turning back around to the screen.
But Chucky was serious. So he continued with his plan to make everyone "happy". "Heads up guys!...heads up guys!" He walked towards Pugg.
Pugg turned back around and saw Chucky coming for him. "Uhh Andy?" he called, feeling uncomfortable.
"Chucky put the knife down. We talked about this, remember?" said Andy.
"Heads up guys!...heads up guys!" he continued walking closer to Pugg welding his knife in the air.
"Chuck put down the knife!" Andy said a little more firmly.
Again, Chucky got closer and closer to Pugg. He had his own agenda to make everyone "happy" with the violence they saw on TV.
"Andy!" Pugg called out again scooting back.
"Chucky stop!" This time Andy yelled.
"What's wrong with him?" said Falyn getting worried.
But nothing was going to stop Chucky from pursuing his dream of making everyone "happy". So he continued approaching Pugg, holding his knife in the air, getting ready to stab.
At this point, Andy could see that he was going to have to interfere in order to stop Chucky. So he hopped off the couch, grabbed a pillow and tackled Chucky with it. By Andy holding Chucky down, Chucky took the opportunity to cut him with the knife. "Owww!" he exclaimed and jerked back. He looked at his arm and then back at his "little brother". "What's wrong with you?"
"I...I was just trying to make you happy." said Chucky still holding his knife.
"Happy? Why would this make me happy? Look at what you did!" Andy scolded him with a mean look on his face.
Feeling bad and confused, Chucky apologized. "I'm sorry Andy."
"You know what! I think you need a time-out!" Andy grabbed the knife out of Chucky's hand and handed it to Falyn.
"What's time-out?" Chucky asked with his glowing, blue eyes.
"You're going to find out!" Andy grabbed his "little brother", carried him up to his room and sat him down on his bed.
Really starting to feel bad (despite being an A.I.) Chucky apologized again. "I'm sorry Andy."
Andy walked away to his door. But before he left, he turned around and said, "I'm going out with Falyn and Pugg." He then closed the door behind him.
As Chucky sat there, he thought about what happened. What did he do wrong? He watched and observed Andy! He saw him smiling and laughing to what he saw on the screen. So what was wrong? Chucky sat there feeling confused.
