Ch. 13: Gakkō de motto yakkaina shunkan part 5

As lunch ended, everyone left the cafeteria which Togata and Hado decided to take Eri somewhere else as the first years need to head back to their classrooms as classes would resume once lunch break is over, and as Midoriya waved goodbye at Eri, the little girl gave him an affectionate hug, and did the same to Kendo, and moments later the two Big Three members left with Eri.

Kendo glanced at Midoriya and gave him an assuring nod which he did the same and the two schoolmates went separate ways, and there Yui smiled while Tokage smirked and teasingly tells Kendo to stop PLAYING HARD TO GET, causing Kendo to blush again and did a karate chop on top of Tokage's head while Yui watched her two classmates bicker.

"Ow! Kendo!"

"I told you to knock it off!"

"You should be honest with yourself!"

"Huh?"

"You kissed Midoriya on the lips at wedding booth during the school festival…and you kissed him a while ago at the cafeteria…"

"H-hey…!"

"Its obvious that you like him, so tell him you love him and he'll reciprocate…"

"Setsuna!"

However, as they passed the hallway, the three Class 1B girls could hear the whisperings from the Class 1A critics in which they still continue to criticize Class 1A for causing trouble by attracting villains and making UA Academy a magnet for trouble, and now Midoriya is making himself look good by SHOWING HIMSELF OFF to Kendo and is using Eri as a tool to accomplish his goal.

This, however, didn't sit well with Kendo, as she didn't like the comments about the female critics making disparaging comments at the innocent Eri, and there she surprised the female critics by confronting them and asked if they are looking for trouble, and made it clear that if they ever make another disparaging comments towards Eri again the BIG SISTER of Class 1B will be their opponent.

"If you got a problem, face me! Leave the little girl alone!"

"Eeep!"

"If you want to berate Midoriya, go ahead, but if you drag the little girl, who has nothing to do with your criticism, I will be your opponent! And if you go as far as threatening that child I'll show you no mercy!"

"Uh…"

The female critics of Class 1A are taken aback and we're forced to take their leave, and there Kodai and Tokage urged Kendo to cool off and said that they need to head back to their classroom, which Kendo nodded and the three girls left the hallway, hoping not to hear any more unflattering comments aimed at the innocent Eri.

At the classroom of Class 1A, Midoriya, Asui, Uraraka and Kirishima entered, and as their classmates greeted them, they chatted about how successful their concert was, as they got lots of viewers and the positive word-of-mouth they received, which most of the class hoped that it would make their critics change their minds.

However, the class could hear Bakugo outside making loud comments, and a minute later, the door opened, where Bakugo entered, but more male students peered, and are glaring towards Midoriya before taking their leave, and there Bakugo told Midoriya to watch his back, as he revealed that before entering the classroom he overheard the male critics making more disparaging comments about Midoriya and even said that they even consider Eri an enemy for supposedly AIDING Midoriya in POISONING Kendo's mind and would consider confronting the innocent girl.

The rest of Class 1A, especially Uraraka, Hagakure Ashido, Kirishima, Yaoyorozu, Mineta and Ojiro were incensed that those idiots are channeling their grudges towards an innocent child and they voiced their displeasure at the critics' immaturity and for targeting an innocent child who is not directly involved with Class 1A.

"How unmanly!"

"How disgraceful!"

"Why are they picking on Eri-chan?"

"Kero…that's way below the belt…"

"I agree…it's totally uncalled for."

"We better look out for Eri...the Class 1A critics are now considering her their target…"

"Yeah! Let's protect Eri! She's too pure!"

"Mineta's right…"

Iida urged his classmates to calm down and said that he would talk to Aizawa about this as he too would not tolerate the critics for dragging Eri into this, which Kirishima agreed, saying that the critics are mostly boys who are infatuated towards Kendo and believed that Midoriya is having ulterior motives which are not true, and that the admirers are targeting Eri because of her closeness to Midoriya.

Iida urged Midoriya not to give in to provocation, saying that it would not solve anything, which Midoriya somberly nodded, as the Class 1A president promised that this matter would be addressed swiftly as possible while telling the rest to keep cool and not react negatively if the critics make another disparaging comments about Eri.

"So, everyone…keep a cool head and not let them provoke us! And we should protect Eri!"

"Yeah!"

As it turns out, Class 1B appeared to be aware of the criticism that Class 1A gets, as some of the Class 1B members approached Kendo, who just arrived, and revealed that they overheard critics saying negative comments about Midoriya and that he is using Eri as a tool to woo Kendo and believed that Midoriya is covertly acting like a villain, which Kendo sighed annoyingly as she feels like the critics are going too far, as they are unjustifiably channeling their criticism towards an innocent child.

Since majority of Class 1B are unaware about the Shie Hassakai hideout raid, they asked Kendo if she knows anything since they are curious about Eri, and there Kendo told her classmates about what Midoriya told her, and this made Class 1B, save for Monoma, sympathetic towards Eri, and tells Kendo that they too are going to act as older sibling-figures to Eri, which Kendo was moved.

"If Class 1A are going to protect that little girl…then so should we!"

"Yeah!"

"That's right!"

"I agree!"

"Midoriya shouldn't face those critics alone!"

"And he might need help in protecting that little girl!"

"I'm on board!"

"Me too!"

By then Vlad King came as classes are about to resume and he is baffled at the class surrounding Kendo, and there the class told the pro hero teacher about the situation, which Vlad King, somewhat aware of the current environment, nodded, and tells the class that he would discuss this with the faculty, but for now they should avoid unnecessary confrontations with the critics, which Class 1B nodded in acknowledgement.

"Yes, sensei!"

But on a side note, Vlad King said that Class 1B is starting to garner positive attention due to Kendo's popularity, and he commended Kendo for interning under Uwabami before, as her media exposure garnered many fans which is amongst the reason why the recent UA Academy beauty pageant became a success even though Kendo finished only as a 2nd runner-up.

Monoma stood up and took credit for that, which Vlad King commended Monoma, and Kendo sighed and said that she rather be with Midoriya and Eri than hearing the praises that Monoma is getting, which Pony Tsunotori asked if Kendo really likes Midoriya, causing Kendo to blush involuntarily, and there majority of Class 1B, save for Monoma, gave their approval, saying that Midoriya can be a good boyfriend-material to Kendo.

"You should pursue Midoriya, Kendo. I say he can be a good boyfriend-material."

"Go for it, Kendo!"

Kendo blushed further while twitching her eye as Pony and Tokage teases her as they said that Kendo showed that she is interested in Midoriya, and this resulted in a comical moment and the class urged Kendo to PURSUE Midoriya, telling her to let Midoriya woo her much to her embarrassment and surprise.

"Go for it, Kendo!"

Vlad King sighed and tells the class to put that aside for now and reminded them that class is about to resume, which Class 1B nodded and the teacher tells them to open their books as they are about to have a lecture, which the class nodded in acknowledgement.

"Yes, sensei!"

Much later, it was dismissal time, and the UA Academy students are leaving the school building and heading for the school gate, with some heading back to Heights Alliance while others are heading to the mall, and there you can see a female reporter looking for an interesting scoop and she is hoping to find one and make a very trending story involving the students of UA Academy.

As the female reporter is glancing at the departing students, her cameraman asked her if this is really necessary, which she said that it is, as their boss is requesting her to find an interesting scoop to make UA Academy a top trending topic and top newsworthy for tonight and for tomorrow's newspaper, something that the public would read about.

"Geez…there's nothing trending about UA Academy at the moment…Gentle Criminal was arrested…"

"Then we'll find one!"

"At this time…?"

"Of course! I'm sure we can find something…"

"Look around…the students are leaving already…"

"Just be patient…and keep your eyes open…"

"Geez…"

"Hmm…"

Then the reporter's eyes blinked as she saw Kendo coming out from the school building, and there the reporter smirked as she finds something interesting as she is revealed to be amongst who watched the recent beauty pageant of UA Academy, and even though she saw Hado emerging as the winner, the reporter is intrigued about Kendo, especially after seeing her in several commercials with Uwabami.

The reporter's curiosity is further piqued as she saw Eri and Midoriya approaching her, and in an accidental turn of events, Midoriya, Kendo and Eri began acting like a happy family, making it look like Midoriya and Kendo acting as parents to Eri, and the cameraman is baffled, while the reporter smirked as she believes that she has found a scoop for her story.

"Hey…aren't they…?"

"Hee-hee…"

"What?"

"Looks like I found our scoop…"

"Are you thinking…wait…you can't be…"

"Hee-hee…get your camera ready…we're having a surprise scoop…"

"You can't be serious…!"

"I am…"

Hope you liked this chapter, as the rumors involving Midoriya, Eri and Kendo persists even at UA Academy…and while Midoriya feels like regretting about the wedding booth incident, his classmates encouraged him to continue his friendship with Kendo.

The same goes with Class 1B who encouraged Kendo to pursue a relationship with Midoriya…

Things took an interesting turn as a reporter and her cameraman suspect that Midoriya and Kendo are SECRET PARENTS to Eri, and plans to get a scoop…

The next chapter will continue the current arc, and there the developed feelings between Midoriya and Kendo intensifies with Eri getting indirectly involved…especially as they spend time together…but first they would have to outwit the snooping reporter so as to prevent her from making complicating misunderstandings…
