Ruby was trying to find a way underneath the school, already knowing an elevator was not only the easiest way to get there, but also too public.

"If I get caught, I'll be in trouble. I'll just tell people I'm exploring the school so I can remember where everything is." She thought to herself and kept looking. She soon came across a large tower.

"This may be the place. Now, how to get down below..." She pondered as she ran around the exterior to try and find some kind of entryway, with no success. "Ugh! Damn you, Ozpin!" She snarled then sighed. She walked towards the cliff and say down with her feet off the edge.

A floating Grimm that resembled a crystal ball with tentacles appeared in front of her and she looked at it. "Hey, Mom." She said.

"Hello, my princess. Cinder had informed us that you're at Beacon." Salem said.

Ruby nodded. "I am. I just tried looking for a way into the tower to search for the Maiden and the Relic, but I didn't find anything!"

"Patience, my daughter. In time, I know Ozma will make the mistake that will cost him everything. Then, your sister will have the power I promised her. As will you. For now, maintain your cover at the school. And be prepared."

Ruby nodded. "I will, Mom. I'll make you proud."

"You always do." Salem said. "Though it won't be on the school grounds, this Seer will monitor you."

Ruby nodded again as the Seer floated away. Ruby stood then walked back to the school.

Steel and Cinder were sitting on a couch out on the balcony of their room. A two-year-old Ruby was nearby, playing with a few of her toys.

"She's really growing fast." Steel said as he wrapped an arm around Cinder.

"Yes, she has." She answered. "Steel?"

"Hm?"

"...Would you ever consider...?"

"Having one of our own?" He finished then thought about it. "Perhaps someday."

The two soon saw a brief flash and turned to Ruby and found her squealing and giggling.

"Get the Queen. Quick." Steel said.

Cinder nodded then went to get Salem.

At night in the ballroom, Ruby was doing a drawing of four items, a lamp, a sword, a crown, and a staff. All four items were colored gold and light blue.

"Like a big slumber party!" Yang said as she plopped down beside Ruby.

"I doubt Tai would approve of the boys in here." The silver eyed girl said.

"I certainly do."

Then she saw Jaune in a Pumpkin Pete onesie and sighed. She then looked at Ruby's drawing. "Wow, that's really good, sis!"

"Thanks. I'm not sure where I got the idea from." She said.

Yang nodded. "So, where did you go?"

"Just to learn my way around the school."

"Any luck on the friends side of things? I know there's Jaune, so that's a 100% increase."

"But Weiss is definitely an enemy. Back to zero."

"It's been only a day. There are friends all around. You just have to find them."

Fighting grunts were heard nearby and Ruby saw Blake and Lapis nearby, the former of the two reading a book while the latter of the two training.

"Those two saw what happened this morning but left before I could try to talk to them."

Yang then dragged a struggling Ruby to the pair and the two turned towards the sisters.

"I believe you three know each other." The blonde said.

"You're the girl who exploded, right?" Blake asked.

"Yep. My name's Ruby. I think I caught your name was Blake?"

"Yeah."

"I'm Ruby's older sister, Yang. I like your bow, Blake. It goes great with your...pajamas." Yang said.

"Thanks...I guess." Blake said.

"I'm Lapis. Lapis Lazuli." Lapis said.

Yang was starstruck. "No way! The Defender of the Four Kingdoms himself?"

Lapis nodded.

Yang shook her head a little then turned to Blake. "Lovely night, huh?"

"As lovely as this book, that I'll keep reading, as soon as you leave."

"Lost cause." Yang said to Ruby about Blake.

"She's not a lost cause, Yang. My sister's just not the most...open person in the world." Lapis said.

Yang looked back and forth between the two. "You two don't look related." She said.

"We're not related by blood. My mom was good friends with his and she took him in after Sapphire was killed." Blake explained.

"What's your book about, Blake?" Ruby asked, genuinely curious.

"A man with two souls fighting to control his body."

"...Nice." Yang said.

"I didn't get a lot of chances to read books. I grew up in the forest. Maybe sometime, I could read some of your books, Blake?" Ruby asked.

"Sure." Blake said.

Yang, happy for Ruby, hugged her tightly, but Ruby just yanked on the blonde's hair, and she let go.

"Do you people know that some of us are trying to sleep?!" Weiss asked then glared at Ruby, who glared back.

"Not you again!" They both said.

"Stop being mean to my sister! She's trying to be social!" Yang snapped.

"She's a health hazard for me!" Weiss snapped back.

"Enough, all of you!" Lapis said and all eyes turned to him. "It's getting late. Let's all get some sleep. We have a big day tomorrow."

Blake nodded then blew out the candelabra she had next to her.

Cinder arrived with Salem and Steel turned to them.

"Cinder said it concerned the princess." The witch said.

Steel nodded. "She unknowingly tapped into the power of her Silver Eyes."

Salem became concerned and Steel's words were confirmed as a light flashed from Ruby's eyes again and she squealed and giggled then smiled at Salem and walked to her. "Momma!"

Salem slowly picked the infant up.

"What does this mean, Your Grace?" Cinder asked.

"Nothing major. It was likely some sort of reflex. Let's keep an eye on it, though." The Queen of the Grimm said.

Steel and Cinder nodded as Salem carried Ruby out of the couple's room.
