AN: Hello everyone, I hope that you have all been well since the last chapter. My new Beta Reader Mionellsparklockineco and I have been hard at work editing and polishing up the older chapters and bringing more life to the story. Stay tuned at the end of the chapter as I have a special announcement to make that I hope you all will enjoy.

Arthur had been enjoying his lunch when he had received a letter from Gringotts bearing a Family seal. He had opened the letter at once reading through its contents with growing surprise as he took every word in. He finished it and stared at the letter for several moments.

He had forgotten all about the marriage contract between his family and the Potters, it had never seemed important. The fact that he and his family were required by law to join with the Potters he had not thought about since he had started working on the contract first with Fleamont and then with James years ago. He was not sure which surprised him more, the fact that Harry was now Lord Potter, or the fact that Harry had chosen to request to marry Ginny.

Arthur sighed, this was going to be a fine kettle of fish when Molly learned of this. He knew in his heart that at least his daughter was going to get what she had always wanted, now he just had to figure out how he was going to tell his family. He liked Harry and found him a great person, but this was going to definitely make a lot of changes to their life.

He was just returning to his sandwich when his assistant Perkins entered their small office, mumbling under his breath as he scrunched into his desk. The small room had served the two members of the Misuse of Muggle Artifacts office for years, growing more filled as each year brought more cases to their files.

"Hello Arthur." Perkins greeted as he set some papers down on his desk, the room already starting to heat up from their cramped facilities. "Got another case in Eaton, going to be another long night."

Arthur smiled his understanding, luckily he was off tonight. "I don't envy the late hours." he said as he tucked the letter back into his robes, once again realizing that he had no idea how he was going to tell Molly or especially Ginny.

"Someone's going to be in a fine kettle of fish." Perkins said as he turned to Arthur. "Sirius Black is finally getting a trial."

Arthur turned at the statement and stared at his assistant. "What do you mean?"

Perkins shrugged. "I overheard them in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, Amelia Bones is heading the case alongside Lord Greengrass."

Arthur rose from his seat, this was something new. He slipped out of the office and headed down the hall toward the lifts. If this was true, if Sirius were to be getting a trial then something must have happened.

As he stepped out into the landing for the Department of Magical Law Enforcement he could sense the tension in the air. Nearly all of the different pods of secretaries or workers that he passed on his way toward Amelia's office were filled with people chattering away animatedly. He caught snippets as he walked, all of them were buzzing with the news of this trial.

He knocked on her door and entered at the sound of her voice, realizing with a start as he closed the door behind him that she was not alone. He nodded to his old friend and then gave a brief nod to Lord Greengrass as he moved further into her office.

"Arthur?" Amelia asked as she watched him with a raised eyebrow.

"Is it true?" He asked, looking from one to the other and back as if he could see the answer in the air between them. "Is Sirius getting a trial?"

Amelia smiled softly, her graying hair and blue eyes showing the years she had spent upholding the law. She nodded at his question, holding up two wills that both bore Potter family crests though both were not as big as he would have expected for a Lord or Lady.

"These, alongside some other new evidence has brought forth the fact that Sirius is innocent of all the charges he was arrested for." She said as she began to explain the situation. "I am not at liberty to disclose all of the information I am privy too, however I can assure you that it will be enough to clear him of his charges in front of the Wizengamot."

Arthur blinked in surprise. "He's innocent?"

Lord Greengrass nodded as he grabbed up the larger of the two wills. "This is the will of James Potter." he stated as he began to unroll the scroll. "Herein it states that upon their death Harry was to be turned over to the custody of Sirius Black, his legal Godfather under the Godfather Ritual."

Arthur sat down in the chair nearest him, his legs nearly giving as he heard the proclamation. Sirius had done what he had often wondered then, he had in fact taken the vows that tied his life to the protection of Harry Potter.

"If he is Harry's Godfather by the Ritual." Arthur said as he contemplated the issue at hand. "Then who betrayed the Potters?"

Amelia revealed to him the story that had been told to her by Sirius while they had waited for Harry and Hermione to return to form their bond. She told him how Black had informed her that it was Peter Pettigrew who had betrayed them, how he and James had swapped the Secret Keeper from Sirius to Peter. She ended the story by explaining Sirius's version of what transpired in the street where he had been arrested.

Arthur sat quietly taking in everything that she had told him, letting his mind process everything that he had heard. This was going beyond just a simple change of plans, this meant that everything that they had believed for the last twelve and a half years was all wrong or at least some of the most important parts were wrong.

"This is going to change a lot." He said as he looked between her and Rothbert. "You realize that if he goes free there will be so many things that this case will alter."

Amelia nodded and sighed. "Arthur, the Ministry will have to issue a formal apology for the years he has spent wrongfully imprisoned." She said as she looked at the stack of folders on her desk. "Fudge has already stated that if he is released he will be provided any and all medical treatment to restore him from his stay in Azkaban all paid for by the Ministry."

Arthur was surprised, usually Cornelius was a very hard man to get to offer so much as a handkerchief to someone in need. If Sirius was going to be getting treatment on the Ministry's credit, then this was really going to shake things up.

"When is the trial?" he asked as he looked back to Amelia with a frown.

"Tuesday, he will be spending the weekend at Hogwarts in the care of Poppy Pomfrey and then Sirius will be transferred to St. Mungo's where he will stay at least until his trial is concluded." Amelia said as she poured a glass of firewhiskey.

"Let me know if you need help." Arthur said as he stood and prepared to leave to return to his office.

SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

Harry and Hermione stood outside of their quarters, talking with the portrait as they began to set up the quarters for the changes that would need to be made soon. They had already had the portrait to create new bedrooms for each of the girls that would probably be joining them in the coming days as well as bathrooms for each of the bedrooms and a separate bedroom for Harry. They had also had the common area of the quarters expanded to allow more room for all of them.

Ron had tagged along to see the quarters and then had returned to Gryffindor Tower to play wizards chess with Dean Thomas. They had made him promise not to say anything to Ginny, as nothing was finalized yet they did not want to get her hopes up if Mr. Weasley were to decline the match.

"Well, aside from your library that you wanted to have put in is there anything else?" he asked her, smiling that they had already started getting things ready despite the fact that they did not even know if the others would be moving in with them any time soon.

She shook her head as they would mainly be using the quarters as a place to sleep and study there was little else she figured that they would need. "No, just that and we should be all set." She stated as she began to instruct the portrait on what she wanted.

As she finished and their required adjustments were finished the portrait swung open inviting them to go and take a look at the changes. Harry nodded approvingly as he noticed the much larger space that they now had was perfect both for personal moments and to host small gatherings if they wished.

He was surprised to find that the bedroom doors had each been labeled to prevent confusion. Moving to the doors assigned to them they found that their belongings had already been moved into them. He moved into his room and began to put away the things that he had bought on their trip.

As he finished and settled at the desk near his bed he picked up the new Dicta-Quill that he had purchased in Flourish and Blotts. The sales person had suggested it over the Quick-Quotes-Quill as it was far more accurate on picking out what the writer was intending than the one that most reporters tended to use. He had determined for himself after trying the demos of both and finding he liked the feel of the Dicta-Quill better as well.

Tapping the tip of the Dicta-Quill to his tongue he pulled out a stack of parchment deciding to get started on the letters he had to write. He placed the quill on the page and smiled as it poised itself to write, awaiting his command.

As he thought out the letters, the Quill wrote down his thoughts, blotting out mistakes or sentences that he later decided to change. He found that using the Quill was a lot quicker and easier than the usual route for writing and it made him wonder how authors chose to write their books.

As the quill wrote the final words of the last letter to Mr. Weasley, he rubbed his temples surprised to find that trying to put everything into letters had been a lot harder than he had anticipated. He looked over each of the final drafts checking to see if the Quill had left any unexpected errors or other issues. He was pleased to find that each of them was flawless, he did not need to make any manual corrections they just awaited his signature.

He tapped his wand to each, his signature appearing just as it had earlier. He rolled up the scrolls and checked his watch, surprised to find that it was only an hour until they were to go to Dumbledore's office for dinner. He sighed and stood, stretching his muscles after nearly an hour and a half of working on the letters.

He walked into the common room to find Hermione curled up on the sofa with a book. He smiled and sat down beside her, kissing her softly when she looked up at him with a gentle smile. She quickly set the book aside as she snuggled into him.

"Did you finish your letters?" she asked as she looked down at the small collection of scrolls in his hands.

"Yes, now we need to get ready to meet professor Dumbledore." he said as he sighed. "We will have to hurry to make it to the owlery to deliver these before going to his office."

She smiled and nodded as they stood, he took her hand as they headed toward the portrait hole. They didn't talk as they headed toward their destination, just enjoying each others company as they walked. Luckily the Owlery and Dumbledore's office were only a floor appart, it was having to walk down the sixth floor corridor and back to the staircase that would take the most time.

As they entered the owlery they were surprised to find that someone was already there. They were about to greet them when the flash of Emerald in their robes made them stop, the girl turned as they entered but did not speak as she eyed them.

"Sorry if we disturbed you." Hermione said as Harry felt a bitter thought from her though it passed quickly.

The girl shrugged as she stepped away from the owl she had been addressing, turning to face them fully. "Good evening Potter, Granger." She said as she continued to watch them.

"Greengrass." Hermione said politely in greeting as she stayed at his side.

The blonde turned to Harry as her eyes swept over him and he could feel her judging him. She smirked as she noticed his watching her and sighed.

"Well, I don't find you quite as bothersome as Draco wishes to proclaim if that is what you are worried about." She said, indicating that she didn't find him lacking as others did. "Surprisingly you intrigue me Potter."

Harry raised a brow at her statement. "Intrigue you?"

She smiled displaying the beauty of her porcelain features, her grey eyes alighting with a sparkle. "Yes, though I doubt that you would understand why."

Harry found he was even more confused at this. "Perhaps you would not mind sharing?"

She nodded her head and sighed. "Not at all, though I never thought that I would have to do this." She said, frowning as she looked straight into his eyes. "How much do you know about your family Potter?"

"Are you referring to House Potter?" he asked, smiling when she nodded and breathed a sigh of relief. "I only found out last night, then it was confirmed this morning. I am Lord Potter, though I also am Lord and Head of Houses Gryffindor, Black and Peverell."

She nodded as he listed the houses, ticking off each one on her fingers. "Yes, that is correct." She said as she frowned. "That means that you have been to Gringotts and had your Parents' Wills read."

He nodded, "Yes, among other doccuments." He stated as he realized she seemed to be leading this topic somewhere.

She smirked as she realized he was catching on to her. "Within those documents then you would have found a contract for marriage." She stated, getting directly to the point. "I have known about this since I was nine Lord Potter, so please forgive me if I am a little to forthright about it."

Harry nodded and sighed. "I am afraid that the person who was the Executor of my parents Estate and the Agent for the Potter estates and accounts did not inform me when they were supposed to." He said with a frown. "I should have been made Lord Potter on my thirteenth birthday, not today."

She frowned deeply at his statement. "That is not good." She said with venom. "That could have caused great harm to your family and yourself. It is actually illegal to do this."

Harry nodded, realizing that this was not even a normal happening within the Pureblood society. He could sense the time ticking away as they stood here chatting about this. He knew he needed to get the letters sent and then get moving in order to make it on time for dinner.

"I am afraid that we must get these letters sent." Hermione said as she took the lead for him. "But perhaps we can continue this discussion tomorrow in a more private place?"

The girl glanced at her for a moment and then nodded. "Yes, I believe you are right Granger, Lord Potter could we perhaps speak tomorrow during lunch?"

"Of course." he said as he nodded his agreement. "And please, call me Harry."

She smiled gently. "Of course Harry, and since we will be getting to know each other better you may call me Daphne."

They quickly got the letters attached to Hedwig and three other owls. He had chosen to send Hedwig to Mr. Weasley as he knew him personally and knew that Mr. Weasley would know her on sight, the others were tied to the school owls who were reserved for such business. Once the letters were tied off and the owls had flown into the distance they linked hands again and headed toward the fifth floor and dinner.

AN: Well I hope you all enjoy the new chapter. As I said at the beginning I have an announcement to make. But first I wanted to give another big shout out to Mionellsparklockineco for all of the hard work that has been done on the older chapters and this chapter, we have managed to review most of the older chapters and resolve any spelling, grammar, continuity and other errors as well as to add a bit more life to them and to bring the story together better.

Now, onto the announcement that I have for all of you. Starting at the same time that this chapter is released there is going to be an alternate version of this story that is going to be written alongside this one. In that story there will only be one pairing which will just be Harry and Hermione, and the story will be adjusted to fit just them and a slightly different timeline with certain other aspects of the story. The tittle of the alternate version will be "Forever Always" and I hope that you all go and check out and enjoy. We are still working on updating some of the older chapters and will be continuing to do so as needed. :) See you next chapter and I look forward to hearing your reviews.
