Percy sighed as he sat in the office next to Jared, Ava, and Charlotte. He was zoning in and out to the principal's constant yelling. He didn't give a shit about being caught, But he was in a bit of a sour mode because the principal essentially cock blocked him. Jared's yapping in his ear didn't help either.

"You know that she wasn't gonna do anything with you? Right?" He would say to Percy every couple of seconds or so. Ticking Percy off a bit. Despite this, mid-way through the Principal's screeching fit, Percy let out a yawn. Not on purpose, The weariness from not sleeping the entire night took over. But unfortunately, the Principal didn't care. His head snapped to Percy. Percy, oblivious to what happened, looked around in confusion but all he saw were the faces of his peers attempting not to laugh. The Principal Ballooned in anger. Before the Principal could explode, a hand was placed on his shoulder. Percy strained his neck to see Mr. Willis, fully dressed up in his wool suit, standing behind the Principal

"Don't worry, sir." He said. His lips coiled into a smile.

"I'll take it from here." He said. Mr. Willis shifted his gaze on the four. The amusement in his eyes calmed as he narrowed them. As if he was calculating. The Principal's anger died down a smidge. He still had a furious look on his face, but he nodded. Mr. Willis smiled.

"Jared, Percy." Come with me." Mr. Willis said. Percy looked at the girls

"What? What ab-" He was cut off instantly

"Don't talk back" Mr. Willis said calmly. Shutting Percy's protest down. Percy didn't like this. He glanced at Ava and Charlotte, who both had a slight look of shock.

"But-" He started

"DONT TALK BACK" The Principal roared. His beet red-colored head was angrily shoved into Percy's face.

"What the..." He murmured.

"Hurry up, We don't have all day," Mr. Willis said. The twinkle of amusement had returned into his eyes.

"Let's just get this over with" Jared groaned. He stood and walked to Mr. Willis. Percy gritted his teeth, but after a couple of seconds he stood up and made his way to Willis and Jared.

"Come on now boys, You'll be joining me in my office," Mr. Willis said. He strolled out of the Principals office and beckoned for Percy and Jared to join.

Line Break

Percy and Jared walked slowly into Mr. Willis's room, looking around it. There were huge textbooks, along with papers, stacked on the Big wooden desk in the middle of the room. A map hung behind the desk. The bookshelf was barely full, as only a few thick books were inside of it. In fact, There were a couple of mostly empty bookshelves in here.

"Step in." A voice said. Percy was pushed inside as the door slammed shut. Percy sighed and plopped down in the seat. Jared sat next to him and shuffled a little. As if he was trying to get comfortable. Mr. Willis walked around the desk but instead of sliding into his seat, He walked around it, and stood next to the large window at the back of his office.

"Do you know why you're here?"Mr. Willis said, staring at Percy intently. Percy gulped

"We were...raiding?" Percy said, confusion laced in his voice. Mr. Willis chuckled. Percy let out a nervous laugh and checked his watch. He was supposed to meet with his mom by 6. It was 3 in the morning. This raid had taken a little longer than Percy had anticipated.

"Do you know the story of Actaeon?" Mr. Willis said calmly. Percy looked up from his watch. Mr. Willis was still staring out the window.

Is this dude on drugs? What does that gotta do with anything?

"Uh...yes." He said. Mr. Willis smiled.

"Actaeon was a hunter" Mr. Willis started.

"He fell asleep in the woods, and awoke to the hunters of Artemis bathing in the river bank." Mr. Willis added. Percy still failed to see what this had to do with literally anything. He'd rather get a lecture about "being responsible" or something.

"Actaeon was there by accident and watched the hunters bathe nude. He began to fall in love with the goddess Artemis. Who obviously wouldn't reciprocate. Instead of running, he announced his position and declared his love for her. Of course, Artemis didn't like this." Mr. Willis turned from the window. With it being three, the only light that was in the room was the faint glow from the moonlight.

"The other huntresses were horrified, as a man dared to stare upon them nude." Mr. Willis said. He smiled slightly.

"Artemis wasn't fazed, however. She walked up to the hunter, not even bothering to cover herself, and asked a simple question"

Percy glanced at Jared who was just as confused as he was.

"Do you think I'm prey for you to catch? to conquer?" Mr. Willis quoted. His smile deepened slightly

"Actaeon was frozen, in fear. He then realized his mistake. But it was too late...Artemis said one more sentence. She pointed a finger at him and said 'No, I am the predator, you are the prey!' Turning him into a deer and letting him be torn apart by his hunting dogs" Mr. Willis stopped. He was now bent over the boys. His hands gripped the table tightly. The room dropped to silence.

"What does that mean?" Jared said in confusion. But unfortunately, Percy knew where this was going. Gods, why do monsters have to go through a history lesson before attacking us? The smirk he was wearing suddenly broke into a crazy grin. He jolted forward, and Mr. Willis stood, clutching the desk eyes maniacally wide, as he snapped around and stared into the boy's soul.

"I collected you here, not to LECTURE you, or hand out PUNISHMENTS." As he spoke, his voice changed and morphed into a creepy, gravelly sort of thing.

"But to REMIND you, remind you of one fact, one thing that I have YET to TEACH YOU." A tongue slipped through his lips as he licked them. His grin somehow turned even more maniacal before he unhinged his jaw and yelled.

"I AM THE PREDATOR YOU ARE THE PREY!"Percy kept his eyes on the hand of Mr. Willis. He watched in horror as they began to turn a faint green color. He looked up to meet the creature's eyes and barely dodged the tongue of his teacher. He reached into his pocket to pull out his sword, but Of Course, he left his sword and weapons in the dorm. He grabbed Jared and pulled open the door...which SURPISINGLY wasn't locked and dashed outside. He looked at Jared who looked around frantically

"What...was that.?" He said with a horrified look on his face. He didn't have time to answer as the door burst open and began to stroll towards the boys. Percy dragged Jared and ran down the hallway leading out of Mr. Willis's office. Unfortunately, That door was locked. Percy ducked under another tongue attack. He looked up at the monster in front of him. Faint scales were beginning to appear on the skin of Mr. Willis, who still was in a wool suit. Percy sighed and stood up.

What the fuck was that? A fucking tongue? God dammit.

Percy gritted his teeth.

It'll be impossible to beat him now

Percy thought

This narrow hallway works perfectly with his ability. That's probably why he left that door unlocked and let us come here.

Percy looked around before an idea popped into his head. He took out a bobby pin. That was supposed to be for the raid, but Percy didn't have an opportunity to use it. He took out the bobby pin and handed it to Jared. Percy tapped the doorknob to ensure he knew what to do with it and faced back to Mr. Willis Maybe Jared could pick the lock? If Percy was able to buy him enough time that is. He would obviously have to fight Mr. Willis to get that. Percy bit his lip. He didn't want to do that. He faced Mr. Willis directly. Percy drew a deep breath. The pair paused.

"Let's go hero," Percy said. He went in a full sprint straight at Mr. Willis who, surprised by the action barely dodge the strike. Percy followed this with a strike for his stomach and landed a solid hit. He leaped back and sighed. He didn't have to beat him up, He just had to hold him down. Percy leaped to the side as the tongue crashed into the wall, narrowly missing Jared. Jared let out a squeal and jumped to the side. Percy snapped his head to Mr. Willis and narrowed his eyes.

He's trying to prevent us from leaving Percy thought.

He has no backups after this. I gotta protect Jared at all costs. Percy leaped forward at Mr. Willis, knowing that close battle was his strength, but unlike the last time, Mr. Willis was way more skilled than before. He dodged all of the attacks of Percy, even managing to attempt a strike at Jared who was working diligently on picking the lock. After 15 seconds Willis decided to fight back. He planned to hold off Percy and try to get a strike at Jared, who was massively inexperienced, but Percy was much stronger than he originally thought, combined with the fact that he developed enough to beat him, and he was also running out of time. He swung at Percy. Nothing much, just a check swing to get an opening for an attack. It worked. Willis kicked Percy's shin, deeming him unbalanced before sending a fist at his stomach. Percy barely managed to block the strike, and before Willis could make a move, a click was heard throughout the small hallway. It was the click of the door. Silence overtook the room. Everyone froze. Taking advantage of the momentary pause, Percy did a sweep kick, slowing down Willis enough for Percy to pull Jared out of the room. He ducked under the tongue of Willis as it crashed into the wall behind him. Percy and Jared burst out of the office wing and ducked into the staircase next to the door. Percy looked up, finding a 2 hanging on the sign over the double doors that led back to the offices. Footsteps grew outside of the door and Percy sprinted up, Jared trailing. Percy dragged Jared behind keeping an ear out for the footsteps. After rounding the corner to floor 3, something whizzed past Percy and stuck to the top of the stairs. Percy cursed and looked back where the tongue came from, slowing down a bit.

"He's gaining on us" Percy murmured and increased his speed reaching the doors leading to the student dorms. Percy, not missing a beat, slid out and ran.

"Where are we headed?" Jared asked, speaking for the first time. Percy ignored him and turned the corner. Unfortunately for them, their dorm was as far as it could be. He took a glance over his shoulder and almost leaped. He was close... Within striking distance. Willis was bigger too. He was not lanky, and was a brute, barely fitting the small hallway, his scales had become more noticeable, along with the fact that he had fangs. Percy pulled Jared for the last turn. Glancing back to see the young smacked against the wall. Percy increased his speed and looked again to see the brute struggling to turn the corner. Percy let out a sigh. This was probably the reason they were alive. Mr. Willis couldn't shift his way through the hallway. Percy and Jared stumbled into their room, breathing heavily.

"What do we do now!?" Jared asked. Percy Ignored him. Causing Jared to get frustrated.

"What the hell even is that thing?!" He yelled. Percy again ignored him and dug through his bed drawer, He pulled his pen from the rain and clicked it. The pen instantly turned into a sword.

"What the FUCK?!" Jared yelled again. Percy sighed and thunderous footsteps stopped at their door.

"C'mon," he said. He knocked on the floor a few times as a trap door appeared. He ushered Jared who was hesitant but as the door burst open, he quickly followed Percy down the hole.

Line break

Percy dropped down expertly, stepping aside so Jared could fall. Jared groaned and stood up.

"What do we do now?" Jared asked. Percy paused his movement. He was gonna have to tell mom that he was bringing a friend...and coming early. Percy put his finger to his lips and beckoned Jared while pointing forward. A glowing blue portal appeared. Percy pointed up and put his fingers to his lips again. This, wasn't enough as a hand crashed through the top, and groped around for a few seconds. Percy broke out into a run, followed by Jared. They were a solid 150 meters from the portal and we were running toward it at full speed. Unfortunately for them, Mr. Willis didn't give up. After a few attempts of reaching in, He reverted to his old form, leaped in, and sprinted to the boys.

"No no no no no noooo" Percy muttered as he and Jared neared 50 meters away. Mr. Willis was about 13 meters away and was gaining. Sadly, this was striking distance. Willis flicked out his tongue hitting Jared in the back and causing a moan, before pulling him back to him. Percy whipped around, still 30 meters from the portal. He flicked out his sword and pointed it at Mr. Willis.

"Release him," Percy said. Mr. Willis chuckled and stood there, not making a move. Percy sprung into an attack, slashing at the man, who just sidestepped. Percy regained his balance almost instantly and squared a roundhouse kick to the face, which was blocked. Percy ducked down and swept at Mr. Willis's feet, before springing up, throwing an uppercut at his face, knocking him off balance as he dodged the strike. Percy recovered his balance lightning-quick again and kicked Mr. Willis. He blocked it, but was pushed back, Percy took advantage of this and slashed at Mr. Willis. The strike was blocked with his tongue. Percy smirked and pushed the tongue away, he then swung at Mr. Willis. Willis stepped aside, successfully dodging the swing Percy growled and ducked, barely dodging the tongue that was swung at his head. He stood up lightning quick managing to dodge a kick being aimed at his head. He was suddenly knocked off his balance. Falling hard on the stone floor below him. He stood up instantly, with his sword raised. Percy glanced at where Jared was but was shocked to find him gone. Percy took that Mr. Willis instantly had to dodge a punch aimed at his face. He retreated out of striking distance and scoured the area. No Jared.

"Looking for your friend?" Mr. Willis said. Percy growled and looked around again. Nowhere. He lowered his sword.

"Fight me," Mr. Willis said with a smirk on his face. Percy sighed and lowered his sword even further, he took a dagger a sent it to the head of Mr. Willis. He easily blocked it with his tongue, flicking it aside like a napkin. Mr. Willis Lowered his tongue to send another attack, his heart dropped when he scanned the area. Percy was gone.

HEY My mans. I return. Now, I haven't been as active as I should be, but I assure you that I'm going to post more. I know it's been a month and a half but I feel like I'm getting into a good flow writing-wise. Pairings is heating up a bit, as Hestia remains in the lead (not by much though). This chapter was around 2500 words which are a bit lower than where I want to be but alas, we'll get there

Until next time folks, Peace
