Chapter 5: (first part)
They sat down at the table. Buffy was feeling really shy now. She looked on the floor or her dish - avoiding the eyes of her new family. She concentrated on eating, while the others were waiting for a reaction from her.
But none came.
They all continued eating, while the wrestlers at the other tables were whispering and trading the bit of gossip that was going around about the girls.
Linda got the attention of everyone, by standing up and coughing. She announced a meeting for all of them at 10 o'clock.
Now, the gossiping even increased. A meeting, on such short notice, without any explanations? Why what did the McMahons want to tell them?
After breakfast the McMahons and Hardys went to the meeting room at once. They had the girls with them. They explained to them, that they would tell the wrestlers about the two of them at the meeting.
Some minutes later the first of the wrestlers were arriving at the room, and some minutes after ten everyone was there.
Linda was standing in the middle of the room, to do the explanation part.
"As all of you will have noticed by now, we have two new girls with us. I am sure you are all curious to know who they are and why they are here."
The wrestlers were nodding.
"This is Buffy Summers, now McMahon, my niece and now stepdaughter, as Vince and I are her legal guardians now. She is here because she should be with her family. The redhead is Willow Rosenberg, the half sister of the Hardys. She is now in the care of them and will accompany us as well. Both girls will be taught by me and will not be part of the show any time soon."
The wrestlers were discussing the news quietly. For some minutes before they asked questions.
Hunter stood up "Why are they on the road with us, without participating in the show?"
"Because first of all, they are a bit young to do so, plus they are not trained athletes and they have to adjust to their new families."
"Why are they not staying with their parents?"
"Because their parents are dead. As I said, I am Buffy's legal guardian and next relative, and the Hardys are Willow's next relatives in line and therefore her legal guardians."
The girls were not looking happy about this inquisition that was taking place. They both looked a bit uneasy about it.
"How old are they?"
"They are 14."
They went on with questions about the girls for a while until they went their separate ways again.
The girls were sent back into their room, to pack as they would be on the road again at noon.
At noon, the girls were waiting for their relatives in the lobby.
They decided to go together into one truck and told the others about it. They got their wish and went together into the Hardys' truck.
On the way they were sitting in the back, speaking about TV shows, food, music and boys and bantering loudly.
Lita couldn't suppress a grin, "May I join you? I have an overdose of male company."
Willow and Buffy looked at each other, shrugged and then nodded, "Why not? Join us, but we are speaking about things from today, not your youth." Buffy snickered, but put her hand over her mouth shocked, a second later. "Whoops"
Now it was Lita's turn to snicker. "Don't stop teasing, as I won't stop myself. And don't you dare be sorry about it. That's what girls do. They tease."
