Robert was standing in the doorway, looking at Cora. She was sitting at his desk. Since they came back from Downton, she spend most of the time at his house. She confiscated his office to do her work. She was finishing a design for a new client. Robert loved how she was curled up in her chair, her legs folded underneath her. Her curls were in a simple ponytail, but some curls, like always escaped the elastic and were hanging lose. Next to her was an empty cup. Robert walked towards her and without making a noise he switched the cups around.

Cora looked up at him and gave a radiant smile. She didn't say a word, but clasped her hands around the mug and put it to her chest. She let out a deep sigh. Robert laid his hands on her shoulders and started massaging. He felt how tense she was, but she instantly relaxed when he was kneading her muscles.

He kissed her cheek. "How much work do you have left?"

Cora looked at her screen again. "I can finish this in about one hour, I think." She looked up at him again. "Why?"

"I was hoping to take you somewhere this afternoon."

"What about 'Le Grantham'? You have a full restaurant tonight.

"That's right, but John and the rest of the staff are doing the mis en place. So I have the afternoon off." He felt Cora stiffen up and he bent down, kissed her cheek again. "But we can go another day, I can go into work if it doesn't fit in your time schedule?"

Now Cora turned her whole chair around and put her hands on his waist. "You know I love you, but I need to finish this, there is also a lot of work for the hospital waiting on me. I promised Andrew to finish the current orders for him."

"Wait, we said you wouldn't leave 'Silver Linings'?"

Cora chuckled. "I never said I am leaving them."

"But" Robert started, but Cora pulled him down and kissed his lips.

"I will not make designs for him anymore. He made me Creative Director, but I never stopped working in the design department. So now, I will."

Robert let out a deep sigh. "I was afraid you were leaving that job you love for my stupid hospital problem."

Cora got up from her chair and wrapped her arms around Robert's neck. "I love helping you out with it." She pressed her body against his. This feeling, this exact feeling was what she needed. Safely in Robert's arms. She started dancing, she always worked with piano music on in the background, the song that was playing was Still life - Alexis Ffrench. She noticed Robert was surprised by her move, what made her love this moment even more. She rested her head on his shoulder, he was taller than she was. He moved his hand to her lower back and slowly they moved. She felt Robert put his nose into her hair, she had washed it this morning, it was probably still damp, because she put in in a ponytail while it was wet.

Robert kissed her cheek and let go of her. "How lovely this was, you need to finish your work." He softly kissed her lips and walked out of the office. He needed a lot of strength to do this, he would have loved to keep on dancing with her, she needed to finish her work. Just before he walked out he turned around, Cora was already sitting at the desk again. "Can you make tomorrow afternoon free?" He asked. There was only a soft hmmmm as an answer. He reminded himself he should ask again tonight.

It had been a long evening, the guests were sticking around. At one point Robert purposely started doing some cleaning jobs in the restaurant area. This had helped and the guests left. It was a good thing they were paying a decent amount in tips, Anna had sad, just before closing. Back at home all the lights were off already. He wasn't sure if Cora would sleep in his house, but when he opened the door, he saw her jacket on the coatrack and her shoes standing underneath it. It was a cold December day, so she wouldn't have left without her jacket. He went into the kitchen, although he was tired, he was in need of a cup of tea.

While he was waiting for the tea to get stronger, he heard footsteps coming down the stairs. Cora appeared in the kitchen, wrapped in a fluffy bathrobe. Cora had so many different bathrobes, he was amazed, that every time she managed to come out in a different one. He hair was down and he saw she had slept for a while, because it was tangled up.

"You are home late." She yawned.

Robert looked at the clock, it was three in the morning. "The guests were sticking around, so it took a while before we could start closing up."

Cora walked over to him. "Leave that tea and come to bed, you need your sleep." She wrapped her arms around him and leaned against his chest.

"I also need my tea." He protested.

Cora chuckled. "You and your tea. Bring it upstairs than, but please come to bed. I can't sleep without you next to me."

Robert kissed the top of her head. "I think you slept pretty well until now."

Cora swatted at his chest. "You know I can't sleep, knowing you are in the house."

"Young lady, this sounds like you have an addiction." Robert laughed at his own joke.

Cora kissed Robert's neck. "I never want to get rid of this addiction. It is the best I ever had. Now please can we go back to bed?"

Robert followed Cora upstairs. Cora got back in bed immediately. Robert took a moment to drink his tea and look at her, before he got in himself. He laid down, but got up in the same second. "Before I forget." He started and clearly startled Cora. "Oh I am sorry, I didn't notice you were asleep already. Sorry, but I forgot to ask, are you free in the afternoon?"

"I can make free time if you want me too." She sad softly, putting her hand on his arm. "Please can I sleep now?"

Robert laid back down and kissed her forehead. "Yes, I will stop asking you questions."

"Good."

Robert smiled, how lucky he was with her. He turned around and took his phone, he needed to arrange some things, hopefully he wouldn't be too late. He had said, he would let them know if it was going to happen tomorrow or not. He quickly send of some text and then laid down, Cora's hand was still on his arm and he loved the sensation of her warm, soft hand on his arm. She started snoring very soft, a sound he was getting used too, it was adorable. She sounded like a kitten that was purring.
