"Is anyone besides me going the wizard's ball on Saturday?" James asked in the back of the common room, talking to his closest friends.

"Let me guess. You're going with Lily?" Sirius said making kissing sounds.

"Well at least he has someone Sirius!" Remus said interrupting.

"Chloe, Will you please just put this guy out of his misery? Ask him to go with you. It's really cutting into our prank time!" Sirius said turning to a girl with dark hair.

"Sure, Remus would you like to go with me to the wizard's ball?" She asked coolly.

"Sure!"

"Psst! Paige!" Sirius whispered to another girl sitting next to him.

"Oh, bloody hell Sirius! You made me miss! I was trying to throw a frog in Snape's hair." She said irritably.

"What did that frog ever do to you? You know damn well that Snape's greasy, slimy hair would suffocate it!" Sirius said laughing at his own joke.

"How true!" James replied.

Sirius tried again. "Psst! Paige!"

"Rggg! What? That's the second time I missed!"

Sirius suddenly had an innocent look on his face. "Well Gee, I'm terribly sorry Paige but I was inclined to ask you what your plans might be for this Saturday?"

"For me to answer that you would have to be serious." Paige replied.'

"But I'm always S-"

"Don't say it!" Chloe said staring at him.

"In the words of Sirius: Paige, Will you please just put this guy out of his misery? Ask him to go with you. It's really cutting into our prank time!"

"Sirius?" she said.

"Yes?"

"Would you like to take me to the wizard's ball?"

"Oh I don't know. I'll have to think about it. I mean so many other people asked and..."

Paige shrugged. "Fine. I'll find someone else."

"You know I was just kidding, right? That's what I like to do. It's ironic because I'm always Sirius!

Chloe sighed. "Honestly. Isn't that getting a bit old?

"Maybe... but this won't." He said as he transformed into a large black dog and licking Paige's and Chloe's hands.

James shook his head. "Sirius, one of these days you're going to get us caught for being anigami."

"Sirius, you're lucky I'm not the jealous type!" Remus added.

"Pervert!" Chloe shrieked.

"Aww! I think it's cute!" Paige said.

"You would!" Chloe responded.

"And just what is that supposed to mean?"

"You always were into dogs! You know, ruff ruff!"

"Well at least I don't chase 'wild animals'. Ahem, ahem!"

"Oooohhh! Catfight! Meow!" Sirius exclaimed excitedly.

"You want to show them a real catfight?" Chloe asked with a mischievous grin.

"I don't see why not?" Paige said, shrugging boredly.

The two girls suddenly transformed. Chloe into a cat and Paige into a fox. After several rounds of scratching and clawing, they return to their human forms covered in scratches.

"I will go get you some band-aids. Oh, and butter beer, Sweetie!" Sirius said to an injured Paige before leaving the room.

"I'll can go get you some too, Chloe Dear!" Remus said rushing off after Sirius.

"I think I will bring some to Lily!" James said more to himself than to the girls.

After the room was completely empty, Chloe smiled. "It works every time!"

"I know. It's only 'cuz we love them so much that we do that. Right?"

"Of course. Plus it's fun when they comfort us. Ah, the power. It's great."

"Yeah, it is but..." Paige looked down at her wounds "Let's not do it for a while. Ouch!"
