Tim's cell phone rang, blaring through the silence and stillness of the night, waking him from his peaceful slumber. "Agent McGee." He said gruffly down the cell phone line, as he picked it up, answering it. It had seemed like a lifetime ago, since a ringing cell in the middle of the night had woken him. Looking at the alarm clock beside the bed, Tim noted that he had only been asleep for ninety minutes.
"Someone's trying to get into my apartment, Tim." Kelly rushed out in a whisper, sounding terrified. Tim was instantly alert, throwing himself out of bed, looking for his tee. Kelly was the last person he was expecting to be on the other end of the phone line and by the tone of her voice, he could tell that she was scared. "Dad's not answering and I don't know who else to call."
"Me! Always call me, Kell." Tim reassured her and he found himself worrying, for her. "I'm on my way. Have you ... got something to defend yourself with? If they get in?"
"A small beretta. I hate it, but dad has always insisted I have it." Kelly told him. "I've called 911, but they're backed up, said it'd take time for Metro to get here."
"Stay on the line with me." Tim urged her. He hadn't bothered getting dressed. He grabbed his service weapon and creds from the biometric lock on the bedside table and threw his joggers on, not stopping to find a pair of socks or sweatpants in the drawer. He was in his Porsche and tearing down the leafy street in matter of ninety seconds. "Does your apartment have a fire escape?"
"No." Tim could hear Sharni now, she was barking and growling in the background. The dog's noise didn't deter the intruders. The rattling of the door had Kelly let out a little squeal. Tim pressed down the accelerator harder, as Tim took the final corner and pulled up out the front of her building.
"Buzz me in, I'm here." Tim whispered and Kelly hit the buzzer on the wall by the still rattling door. "I'm going to hang up, now Kell. Try to get your dad on the phone, again. If 911 call back, tell them my name and that I am an NCIS agent and that I'm on scene."
Tim disconnected the call and tucked his cell phone into the side of his briefs, under his boxer shorts, on the opposite side his credentials were on. He was praying they didn't break down the door before he got to her. He hadn't thought through the decision not to grab sweats and stop to put them on. He could have used the pants, merely for the convenience of having pockets. He knew he really should have taken the extra ten seconds. But if something had of happened to Kelly because he took that ten seconds longer, then he would never have forgiven himself. He usually didn't even wear briefs underneath, but some reason last night after his shower, he had put a pair on, of which he was very thankful for, right now.
Tim took the stairs, two at a time, to the third floor where Kelly lived. He could see two masked figures dressed in black, using lock picks to try and access Kelly's apartment. Tim deduced to himself, that they were amateurs because a pro would have gotten in by now. "NCIS Freeze!" Tim shouted, his gun out in front of him, ready to fire. The two masked assailants had nowhere to go because Kelly lived at the dead end of the hallway.
Tim couldn't see any weapons, but he knew from all of his training, never to assume. He was almost upon them and had decided would try to take them both, hoping they co-operated, but he didn't expect them to.
The first masked assailant lunged at him, and Tim easily manoeuvred him into a choke hold that Gibbs had taught him, early in his career at NCIS. The second assailant tried to strangle Tim, but he found they weren't very strong. It was only when they began biting and scratching him, did he realise the second one was a woman. As soon as he had rendered the first man unconscious, did he flip the second assailant off him and apprehend her. She was screaming like a banshee that she was being attacked, surprised when no one came to her aid. She tried to holler rape, but he quickly had her in a chokehold, and she lost consciousness as well.
"McGee?!" Gibbs voice came panting up the stairwell, five seconds later. He was surprised to find that Tim was there, his boxers, joggers and MIT tee. "You, ok?" Gibbs gave Tim a visual once over as he helped Tim manoeuvre and secure the assailants.
"Fine. Ribs are a bit sore." Tim panted. He wasn't used to taking two assailants down without back up and quite physically. "Ducky isn't going to be happy with me."
"Take a breath, looks like that second one did some damage to your arm and neck." Gibbs told him. Gibbs took a closer look at Tim's arms and neck, ripped and torn skin on his neck and bite marks on his arm. His beloved MIT tee had paid the price. "Good job, Tim. Metro's not too far away." Gibbs called Kelly's cell and told her to open up.
She cautiously opened the door, a small handgun in her hand. Tim took the gun from her, disarming her as he went. Her hands were shaking, and she was quickly pulled into a hug by Tim, as he passed her gun off to her father. Gibbs took the gun from Tim with a small grin at how quickly Tim tugged her into him, this time. He returned her gun to the safe, by her bedside. Gibbs was glad he had insisted that she know how to shoot and have a gun in her apartment, even if she didn't like it.
He returned from putting the gun back in her safe, just in time to see Tim peck Kelly's lips, softly, taking her hand in his and interlacing their fingers. "Are you ok?" he asked after he had kissed her. "You did really good, Kell." He pulled her closer to him again and murmured to her. "Everything's going to be OK, you're safe now."
Seeing Tim had Kelly in hand and was keeping her calm, he went to meet the metro cops. He had called in a favour with a lieutenant he knew. Gibbs had been in the shower, washing the day away, before bed, when Kelly first called. Seeing that he had missed the call and the late hour, he turned on the scanner and heard the 911 operator, dispatch metro to Kelly's apartment. In his sweats and bare feet, he was in his truck with his gun and creds, within thirty seconds. He kept trying to call Kelly and it kept going straight to voicemail. His worry and concern for his daughter escalating.
He tried Tim on a whim, knowing Tim lived four minutes from Kelly, less than two minutes in the dead of night. He was at least another five minutes out. He knew he could make the twenty-minute drive in seven minutes, and he would. Tim's phone was going straight through to voicemail too, and he sent up a silent prayer up to Shannon, that when he hadn't answered, Kelly had called Tim for help.
"Agent Gibbs, thanks for the call." the Lieutenant said as he looked at the two offenders, as they were beginning to come to. "Good work on apprehending them both, without firing your weapon."
"Wasn't me, it was one of my agent's. This is my daughter's apartment, Kelly Gibbs. After I missed her call, she must have called him. He lives closer, over on Virgina Ave." Gibbs said proudly. "I'm out in Alexandria."
"Where is he?" the lieutenant asked Gibbs. "Need to ask him some questions."
"He's probably going to need medical attention, too." Gibbs told Grady as he led him into Kelly's apartment. Tim still had Kelly tucked under his arm. "He was in the explosion on the Conrad Gala. Still recovering; he's been on KIT days, the second assailant, the female one had put up a good fight."
"Agent?" Grady asked, before Tim looked up at him. He recognised Tim, immediately. "Agent McGee, good work. Do you have a moment?" Tim passed Kelly over to Gibbs and she buried herself into her father's side.
"I'll be right back." Tim promised her, she took his hand a squeezed it tight.
Outside Kelly's apartment, Grady asked Tim a few questions, before Grady showed Tim who the masked attempted intruders were. "Do you recognise these two?"
"That one is Ethan, he's Kelly's ex-boyfriend. We had a run in, at a work function of hers over the weekend." Tim admitted, He knew that enough people at her work had seen the confrontation between the two men. "Don't recognise the woman."
"Was it hostile between you two?" Grady asked, He knew he had to question the agent like this. But he could hardly imagine the McGee he knew would be hostile.
"He was argumentative. But that was only at me because he believed there was a relationship between us. He cheated on her and got caught, but he moved on. He proposed to the woman he had the affair with. But he also doesn't want Kelly seeing anyone else, either. Gibbs told us on Sunday, Ethan showed up at his place after the confrontation, expressing concerns about Kelly's safety whilst in my company." Tim told Grady. He had nothing to hide.
"He's lucky you didn't shoot him. A witness told us, he charged at you." Grady supplied, relaying what the three other witnesses on the floor had told him. "Why didn't you shoot?"
"I've just started REACT training with NCIS and I knew I could disarm him without firing my weapon." Tim told Him. "REACT protocol is that you Assess, Analyse, Negotiate, then React accordingly. My training kicked in."
"Medics are here, McGee. I want your all your injuries, catalogued and documented. I know you were in injured in an explosion recently, all the more reason to get looked at." Grady told him.
Gibbs and Kelly came out into the hallway and Kelly left her father to go to Tim. For the first time since he had arrived tonight, she had noticed that Tim had various bite marks, scratches and his beloved MIT was ripped. Before she could ask if he was OK. She could her more footfalls heading their way.
"Boss?" Tony's voice floated up the hallway, as he arrived on scene, he too dressed in sweats and sneakers. "Oh, hey McGoo. Boxers and a tee, were you two spending the night together, Probie?" Tony teased his friend, light-heartedly.
"McGee, go get checked out. You too, sweetheart." Gibbs reminded his subordinate, hoping Kelly would take the hint and urge Tim to get checked out, too.
"I'm ok, Dad." Kelly reiterated and was preparing to stand her ground.
"Well then go and keep McGee company." He whispered at her, urging her to take Tim out to the bus. Gibbs really wanted to know that Tim was OK, especially his ribs.
As soon as Tim and Kelly were out at the bus, Tony turned to Gibbs. "McGeek and Kell? Who'd have thought it? Guess they've sorted themselves out."
"Not me, Tony. McGee wasn't here, Tony. Kelly called him when I missed her call." Gibbs told Tony. "McGee's new place is over on Virginia Ave. He lives the closest, now. Kelly knew that."
"Tim moved? Guess he was serious, he hated being there. You know? After Delilah... Anyway, I told Ellie to stand down." Tony told his boss. "No point dragging her from her bed, too. She's all the way out in Camp Springs, MD. It'd take her at least thirty minutes to get here. We can get it wrapped up here, since it's not officially our case. We can bring her up to speed in the daylight."
"Ask Kelly where Tim's NCIS sweats are? He can't be parading around the streets of Georgetown in his underwear." Gibbs quipped with a smirk, he enjoyed watching Tony's face light up at the knowledge that at some point, Kelly had worn Tim's clothes to her apartment. "I think she has a pair of his socks here, too."
"Ask her yourself, boss. They're coming back." Tony grinned, as the CSU techs told them, they'd need a couple of hours before they could clear her apartment.
Looking around the room at the three NCIS agents, deciding Tony was the most appropriately dressed. "DiNozzo, you stay until they're done and lock up when they're done. Tim, text Tony your address, we'll meet up there. We're going there to get some sleep. I'll have Ellie bring us breakfast."
Gibbs watched as Kelly packed a bag under the watchful eye of Metro PD, Tony, Gibbs and with Tim closely following her. Gibbs didn't react to Tony's raised eyebrows, his unasked question when she threw more than just the clothes, she would need for the day into the duffel bag. When she was done, she handed Tim his sweats and he pulled his pants on over his shorts, Kelly packed his sweatshirt in her bag. "Come on, Kell. You can ride with me." Tim whispered as he took her bag and slung it over his shoulder, pulling her into his embrace, as he led her downstairs to his Porsche.
Tim had Gibbs follow him into the underground car park and pull in beside the Porsche. When the three of them exited the car, Gibbs looked at Kelly, buried into his agent, holding on to him tightly. "Ducky will be here at 0800. He is checking you both out, no arguments. I've called Vance, pulled us from rotation. I haven't been to sleep yet; Tony and Ellie only left the yard three hours ago and you only left four hours ago."
"Probably for the best." Tim told Gibbs as Tim entered his elevator access code. "We were supposed to have the late start, but with Kelly's unexpected guests, I'm afraid I won't be up to par today. Even with the late start."
The full MCRT team had been on a high-profile case that they had only closed very late the night before and weren't considered rested. Even though Tim was on KIT days, the SecNav and Director wanted him on the encryptions, so Tim had been called in and he'd been grateful to be able to help his team. "Give dad the spare room, I can bunk with you." Kelly told Tim, before Gibbs could offer to take the sofa. "When Tony gets here, he can have the other guest room."
"Sure, you want to bunk with me?" Tim asked, "Especially whilst under the same roof as DiNozzo?"
"Your bedroom door locks from the inside. We will be fine." Kelly reassured him. Tim wasn't that sure, Gibbs had a very uncertain look on his face, too.
"Kell? If you're scared to go back to sleep, I can watch over you." Gibbs offered to his daughter. He wasn't sure if Tim wanted Kelly to sleep with him or not, but he could tell that she was scared, whether she wanted to admit it or not was a different story.
"Dad, you need your rest too." Kelly chastised him gently. "I'll be safe next to Tim."
Gibbs watched his daughter carefully; she was still quite shaken up and he wasn't used to her running to someone else for comfort. "Get some sleep then, sweetheart. Tim? You'll come and get me if you need me?"
"Of course, Boss" Tim nodded, before Kelly interlaced her fingers in his and led him into the bedroom, closing the door behind them.
Gibbs heard the faint sound of the bedroom door latching closed and the tumblers of the lock sliding into place. Standing there, he couldn't help himself but grin at the situation as whole. Grady had had a good chuckle at McGee's expense, responding to a crime in progress, at Kelly's apartment in his underwear. What had been even more impressive was that he had also apprehended the two assailants whilst not wearing any pants. He was pretty sure that Vance would be hearing this story.
Twenty minutes after the just friends went to bed, DiNozzo arrived from Kelly's apartment. Gibbs could tell that Tony had a million questions burning, but a glare from the team leader had Tony silent. Gibbs grunting showed Tony to the other guest room and advised his SFA to get some sleep.
Tim started stirring to feel Kelly by his side, their bodies intertwined. Kelly had gone to bed last night in a soft pink cotton camisole nightgown. Tim could feel it underneath his fingertips, and he flexed them, enjoying the feel of the fabric against them.
Kelly could feel Tim's erection against her leg. She shifted herself against it, hearing his hiss against her neck in desire. It felt like it was a decent length and she wondered if it was a natural reaction from sleeping with her, if Tim had been dreaming or if he always had a hard on in the morning.
Kelly rolled herself slightly onto Tim's chest further. Peeking through her lashes, she saw that Tim's eyes were still closed. She felt his hand flex again as it travelled up her hipbone, over her taut stomach, over her sternum and settle on her right breast. He squeezed gently, as he moved against her, his penis brushing against the hem of her nightgown, onto her lace panties underneath.
A harsh rapping of knuckles on the door startled them both into full alertness. "Open up, Probie, or I'm picking the lock. Ducky is here." Tony's voice came through the door. For once, Kelly was grateful he had locked the door.
Looking down, Tim was horrified to find his hand on his bed mate's breast. "I am so sorry." Tim blushed, realising that she could once again feel his erection, digging into her leg, as well as his hand on her breast.
"It's OK, Tim. It must have been some dream." Kelly smiled at him.
Tim nodded in agreement with her. It was some dream that he had had, and Kelly had been the star of the dream. They'd both been wearing a less clothing, too.
"Ducky is here and I wouldn't put it past Tony to actually pick the lock." Tim whispered to her.
Kelly let out a small laugh at that, before she stopped Tim from getting up with her hand on his. "First thing's first, good morning." she greeted him, reaching over and kissing Tim softly, leaving her lips on his for a second longer than she ever had before pulling away slightly.
Tim's hand came up to the nape of her neck and he huskily whispered a greeting of his own, before he lowered his lips to hers, encouraging her to open her mouth a little wider. Using the hand that was on the nape of her neck, to urge her closer to him, he sank himself into the kiss, which had Kelly purring beneath him.
Before she could respond with an attack of her own, Tim was pulling away from her. Another rap on the door, this time the louder and gruffer voice had them both laughing. "Ducky doesn't have all day you two, move it." Gibbs' voice came through.
"We're awake." Tim argued out loud, opening the bedroom door. He wasn't expecting the crowd of people by his previously locked door. "Oh, good morning, to all of you, too. What time is it?"
"Oh, it's after nine, Casanova. Duckman has been waiting for you, Tiny Tim." Tony teased him, but his pride coming through. Kelly was laughing at Tony's brotherly teasing from the bed and Gibbs reached up and slapped Tony for his antics.
"Thank you, Anthony. But I have only just arrived. Timothy do not stress yourself. Agent Balboa caught a body dump this morning." Ducky began rambling as he made his way past the two older agents and into the bedroom, closing the door behind him. "Good morning my dear, how are you after this early morning's ordeal?"
"Hey Duck." Kelly greeted with a smile, remaining under the covers. "I'm OK, Tim's been taking good care of me." Ducky suppressed the urge to grin when Kelly didn't rush to get out of Timothy's bed.
Ducky struggled to keep a straight face. "Yes, well I will be the judge of that." Ducky knew Timothy as a modest man, so he was still shocked to see Tim hadn't rushed to find his t-shirt since he had gotten up yet, not that Miss Gibbs was objecting, either. She also had not been in a hurry to get out of his bed. "Who is the first patient?"
A small smile escaped from Ducky's mouth as the two of the younger ones seemed to have a silent conversation between them. "I am." Kelly's voice spoke up. "Tim's going to find some clothing."
Tim had the quickest shower in history while Ducky examined Kelly. When he returned, dressed in sweats and a fresh tee that hadn't paid the price, Kelly got out of bed and helped herself to her own shower.
"Timothy, let me look at those ribs of yours." the kind doctor urged. As he gingerly removed the clean tee and sat on the bed, opposite the ME. "Some of these scratches and bites are quite nasty. Nothing some antibiotic ointment can't solve."
"Thanks Duck." Tim smiled at him, catching the unsaid directive to have Kelly help with the spots he couldn't reach himself.
"Your new place is very... Upmarket. I like it, but forgive me if I overstep the mark, I hope you haven't financially burdened yourself." Ducky was treading lightly. He didn't want to offend the young man, but he knew what real estate was worth in Georgetown. He had a town house five streets over and he knew what he paid for that.
"It's a property from the McGee Family Trust, Ducky. It was my grandfather's office when he was in DC. It's been vacant for years now and when I told Penny I wanted to move. She insisted I take it, due to the proximity of the Navy Yard."
"That is a relief, Timothy. I was a little worried. Especially because I have never known you to be so frivolous or reckless with money before. That can be a slippery slope in the throes of grief." Ducky told him.
Kelly came out in a pair of leggings, her hair washed and towel dried, brush in hand and an oversized t-shirt - a comic con memento tee from 1994 in Baltimore that clearly didn't belong to her. "Feeling better?" Tim smiled at her as she bought out the hamper, intending to start some washing. "I'll do the laundry." Tim chastised her, taking it from her.
Ducky laughed to himself at the two of them. They reminded him of a young Marine he had met, years and years ago. The young man had told him a story of falling in love with a vivacious, tenacious red-haired girl with a firey personality to match. He hadn't thought he was good enough to marry her, but Ducky had thought they were perfect for one another and convinced him that she was the one for him.
That young Marine he once knew and the young man who stood before him today, share many of the same qualities too, just a generation apart. The young woman before him, not only shared traits of the Marine's lover, but she also physically resembled the woman; she was their child. If only the young man who worked for the old marine and the older Marine's daughter could get themselves together.
He resolved himself to have a serious heart to heart discussion with that once young Marine, now gruff NCIS Team Leader, to gather his thoughts and feelings on the developing relationship between his daughter and a man he considered to be a second son, an agent of his.
"Finally," Tony groused as Ducky, Tim and Kelly emerged from Tim's bedroom. The latter two, freshly showered and dressed. "Ellie's been called to FLETC at Quantico today, something to do with the NSA, but the Director will be here any moment with pastries."
Gibbs observed the two of them closely, before zeroing in on his friend. "They're both fine, Jethro. I suspect Kelly had a mild shock, which she has recovered from under Timothy's personal care and Timothy is no worse for wear. Let his ribs heal naturally, he knows he overdid it last night and this morning, he pushed himself too far."
Gibbs grinned as Tim handed Kelly her coffee mug, but not before adding the sugar she liked in her coffee, before he poured his own mug. Meeting Tim's eye, he raised his eyebrow at Tim and Tim tilted the coffee pot towards his boss.
By unspoken word, Tim poured his boss a refill and looked over to see Tony and Kelly on opposite sofas watching a movie. "You, OK?" Gibbs asked, keeping his voice low.
"Ribs aren't as painful as last night, but I wouldn't recommend apprehending two assailants at once, any time soon." Tim quipped and Gibbs grinned at him.
"And to do it in your underwear, quite impressive, Tim." Gibbs grinned at him. "That's one for the books."
The ringing of the wall intercom by the door had Tim moving towards it on autopilot and caused Tony to pause his movie. A distorted voice came over the intercom, that Gibbs and Tim recognised at one of the security guard's downstairs. "Director Leon Vance, Naval Criminal Investigative Service is here to see you."
"Thank you, Dennis, send him up and please add Leon Vance to my prescribed visitor list." Tim told him and Tony remarked how cool that was.
"It's like having a virtual butler." Tony compared. "Except he won't get you food."
"He'll put pizza and the food delivery app food in the elevator and send it up if it's pre-paid and pre-tipped." Tim explained to Tony. "That's as much of a butler I need. I like my privacy."
When the intercom buzzed for the elevator, Tim entered his access code and allowed the Director entry.
"This place is something else, Agent McGee." Leon Vance whistled as looked around. From the foyer, he could see a beautiful marbled two-way fireplace, floorboards and rugs. Two hallways at opposite ends of the apartment, one short and one longer. "I'm impressed."
Tim urged the director to come in as he took the coffee the Director handed him. "Thank you." Tim told him gratefully. He was still tired after last night. He could do with all the coffee he could get. "Not bad for an ex-Admiral's office."
"Anything for the hero of the hour." Leon teased his agent. "Grady from metro was blowing my phone up at seven am, this morning. Two assailants, hand to hand and in your underwear." Leon struggled to keep a straight face as he recalled the phone call between him and the Metro Lieutenant.
"It was nothing. They didn't put up much of a fight." Tim argued. "They wanted to get caught."
"Hey, I got there, shortly after you. You already had the situation at hand." Gibbs reminded him. "You stopped them from getting into Kelly's place. That makes you a hero to me, McGee."
"He's certainly my hero." Kelly cooed as she came up to Tim. "Ah, your washing machine won't open. The load finished; I was going to put it in the dryer for you."
"There is a trick to it. Let me show you, Sunshine." Tim told her with a wink, as he put his arm around her and led her down the long hallway to the european laundry.
"Sunshine?" Leon asked Gibbs, amused. He had heard the odd thing or two about the two young people in question and it intrigued him. "He really left his apartment and arrived on scene in his underwear?"
"Well yeah, Leon." Gibbs huffed in laughter. "They're the only two that don't know they're crazy for each other. Both of them are feeling their way through it. You've got a daughter, Leon. When they're scared; they stick by and want no one else but their dad ..."
"Until they meet their prince charming." Vance supplied. "Let me guess, Kelly wanted Tim to keep her safe last night, not Dad."
"Don't think it was about keeping her safe, but she took him to bed with her, Leon." Gibbs groaned.
"Well, let me update you on what Metro found out." Leon Vance was talking to Gibbs, but his focus was on the end of the hall. He was watching Kelly and Tim, deep in conversation about something. He saw they were standing inches apart and watched as they both laughed at something Tim said, before Kelly got shy and Tim reached out a tucked a stray hair behind her ear.
Leon Vance took one look and Gibbs and knew he wasn't paying any attention. He watched as Gibbs watched the two of them at the end of the hall.
"Hey McGee?" Ellie greeted him as they came into bullpen, Tim from MTAC and Ellie from the lab. "Jake and I are going to this place over on Madison Avenue for my birthday for a couple of beers and some line dancing tomorrow night. Wanna come?"
"Let me double check with Kell but shouldn't be a problem. We planned to meet for dinner and a movie, nothing that can't be rescheduled." Tim answered with a huge smile. He pulled out his cell phone and his redial list, calling Kelly to see if she was interested.
It had been six weeks since the break in at Kelly's apartment and the only thing that had progressed between Tim and Kelly was Tim convinced Kelly to move back to her apartment. They'd started and finished their samba lessons and had plans to move on to ballroom dancing, next.
"Did I hear something about beer and line dancing?" Gibbs asked, coming in from downstairs.
"Yeah, it's my birthday. So, Jake wants to go out. We invited Kelly and Tim to join us, you and Abs, Ducky and Jimmy are of course invited too. It's a party." Ellie told their boss.
"We'll be there." Gibbs promised her. "But first we have got to solve this case. Does anyone else have anything to add to the update?" Gibbs asked, looking around at his team and how hard they had been working on this case. Everyone seemed to want justice for the Petty Officer's murder. "Pack it in, lets pick it up in two hours."
Tim, Tony and Ellie wasted no time in packing everything up and shutting down while as they left for their own dinner breaks, all rushing out of the bullpen. When each of them made it to their vehicles, they barely said goodbye to one another. But as one vehicle after another pulled up out the front of the diner, they all laughed as they got out of their vehicles. "We should have just carpooled." Tony jested towards Ellie who held her own grin as she could see Jake had snagged them a table already.
"Well, Jake's already ordered for me. So, I'm going to eat." Ellie replied, leaving Tony and Tim on the sidewalk together.
"Counter or booth?" Tony asked his friend, his long-time colleague, almost always pseudo little brother.
Tim leaned back against his Porsche with a huge grin on his face. "Don't care where you sit, I have a better offer coming."
"Ooh, do tell, Special Agent Underwear Extraordinaire." Tony teased. "Have you got yourself a date, my dear probie?"
"Not a date, Tony." Tim grumbled, knowing the part he always played in Tony's games. Tim smiled wider as he saw Kelly's car pull into the lot. "We're just friends."
Kelly came out of her car and went straight to Tim's arms, hugging him tightly, before she pulled back and kissed him softly in the lips. As Tim kissed her back, his hands held her close to his body, enjoying the feel of her so close. As he broke off the quick, but not chaste kiss, he smiled at her. "Miss me?"
Tim looked her up and down, grinning her. "Oh yeah, you were missed." As he took her inside and led her to a booth. A nudge from Kelly had Tim rolling his eyes at her, before calling out to Tony. "Are you joining us, DiNozzo?"
