Secrets to Keep

Prologue

By: Scarred Phoenix

Summary: There's a secret that's kept away from others but what if some other evil force wants this secret out in the open? What will Kai do then? Trust his team-mates or leave them behind?

Rating: Can go from PG to PG-13 the highest, more likely to be PG-13 for the bloody scenes later on in the fic.

Disclaimer: If I own Beyblade, do you think I'll be typing this now? So naturally, no, I don't own Beyblade... but one can always wish, no?

A/N: I want to make this completely clear that English is my second language and I just got a 'D' for it last big test I had... You'll find mostly grammar and tenses completely and utterly wrong. And in advance, I'll say a big sorry! And if anyone is interested or have information about being a beta-reader or where I can find a spell/grammar check, that'll help too!

P.S: Yes! My computers {name Zero, by the way} have no spell checks! I have no idea why though...

"So that's the plan for the next two weeks. It's that okay with you boys?" Mr. Dickinson asked. He receives only nods and no speaking answers. "That's all good. Remember to pack your swimming gear, there's a waterfall near the camp." He added with a smile as he saw each faces lit up with a smile. All except one. "Okay now boys, go and pack for tomorrow, you'll be on the bus by midday and we don't want to be late because someone didn't pack before, now do we?" As he said this, the bladers turn and start heading out the room. "Can you stay back a little while Kai?" He asked.

Kai just stood back, leaned against the wall arms crossed, waiting till the others left the room. When he heard the click confirming that the others left, he looks up at the older man with his red eyes.

After making sure the others is gone and out of hearing range, Mr. Dickinson turn to the boy remaining in his room, "When are you going to tell them?" He asked.

There is a moment of silence before the reply, "I'm not."

That shocks the older man, "Why? The secret is kept long enough in my opinion." There's another moment of silence but this time came no reply. He shakes his head, "No wolf is a lone wolf, Kai."

The quote had been used since a long time ago but it had other effects on Kai then other people. He look up at the older man for a second, his eyes redden rapidly to a blood-red colour and his low growl more inhuman, his fingers seems to grow sharpen somewhat and his hands move in a claw-like movement. It last only for seconds before he realize himself and stop, returning the air about him back to icy frost instead of boiling anger from seconds ago. He crosses his arms again, closing his eyes for a while before heading out the door to cool his temper off.

"You can't hide forever." A voice from the shadow of the tree outside the hotel window whispered.

To Be Continue...

It's the shortest prologue ever! Maybe it is.... Anyway, hope you enjoy it and if you do, please review.

In advance notice; flames will be used in two ways. One, to improve my flaming skills and two, to make Dranzer happy!
