A little over three years later...

"Happy birthday to youuuu. Happy birthday to youuuu. Happy birthday dear Alexiii! Happy birthday to you!" Rudolph, Vira and a orange-tan three year old Twi'lek boy, whose name is Alexi, all clap their hands in excitement. Alexi looks at his mother with hope gleaming in his eyes, "Mama, when will papa come back?" Vira smiles and smoothes her hand down his head, "Soon. Someday soon, sweetie. He's off working, remember?" Alexi pouts but nods his head in understanding. His father, Kairo, has been on a special mission for all his life so far. He only knows about him is with the help of his mother, Grandpa Victor, and Uncle Rudolph. Who talked about him to Alexi, showed Alexi pictures and so on. Except for a few moments here and there from hologram video chats, Alexi never formally met his father.

On one of the latest video chats, Alexi remembers asking his father why he is going away. In Alexi's understanding and point of view, Kairo said and quote, "I'm going to fight some bad guys and find a beautiful girl who was a dear friend to me. I wasn't being nice to her one day and she ran away, upset. I want to find her again and apologize. Be good to your mother, Alexi, and to all of your friends. I have to go now, I love you." With that, Kairo signed off and Alexi never heard from him again.

Vira, who was secretly watching the exchange between father and son during that time, was livid when Kairo said what he said. Yes, by miracle, she became a mother with Kairo's help. Which was a no strings attached agreement. But she still has some feelings for him and believed that he could've explained himself without mentioning looking for Neji. Who is the "beautiful girl who was a dear friend." Rudolph and Alexi pull Vira back to reality when they grab a small piece of cake and splatter it on her face, laughing. Vira blinks her eyes and smiles, shaking her head. "You two are going to get it!" She grabs the whipped cream bottle nearby, causing the boys to make a run for it. Vira, feeling much happier, laughs as she chases Rudolph and Alexi around.

Right now, she is just focusing on the present, which is her son Alexi. Her pride and joy.

"Hello Miss Ashanti, how do you feel?" A medical droid asks.

Neji, whose eyes are bloodshot red and cheeks drench in tears, sighs. "It's too complex for me to describe right now. I have a son, but I also just lost my lover, Ulysses. Just...leave me be for now, come back in five minutes."

"I understand, I will not probe you for an answer. But I do need your son, he needs his weight checked and you need some time to fill out the paperwork so that we can register him into the system." The droid explained.

"Why was I just left on this damn planet..." Neji curses under her breath. A female Carosite, who is Neji's midwife, answers Neji's question meekly. "W-Well ma'am, Carosi XII has the best medical skills and equipment in the galaxy. Also, the man Luke Skywalker insisted on you being here for the time being." Neji sighs and unclenches her hands, calming down.

She looks at her son, whose light, caramel brown eyes stare back at her. She smiles and softly strokes his chubby cheek with her finger. "You have the splitting image of your father. I think I will name you Ulysses Kairo Ashanti. Yes... a nice name indeed." The midwife writes the name down on the proper places of the documents handed to Neji as the newly made mother hands her baby over to the medical droid at last.

To distract Neji from being even more upset, the midwife asks her to tell the story of her and Ulysses's relationship. Neji hears this and brightens up slightly, "Sure thing! Let's see... we met over three years ago while I was traveling with Luke and his friends. They were on a mission and I was assigned to keep watch of the ship. The Butterfly finally appeared, carrying Ulysses in its arms. I quickly went inside the ship and rummaged through my belongings, keeping watch of the creature from afar through some window. I finally found the proper weapon and slowly came back out through crawling. I took aim and...bam! Shot it down. I got out and shot the creature a few more times to make sure it's dead, and it was. I told Ulysses to go back a few feet and I took out one of those toothpicks and lit it up. Then I threw the flaming toothpick on the creature and watched it burn. Me and Ulysses locked eyes and...my heart felt like it stopped. He was one of the most handsome men that I've met. His soft, angelic voice was so soothing. When he thanked me, usually I would brush it off but when he said it...I blushed like a teenager.."

Flashback...

Ulysses couldn't believe his eyes, a gorgeous girl saved him! It was amazing but...embarrassing at the same time. He was nowhere near a man who deserves a wife, much less a wife like her. Yeah, she does seem a bit bigger, curvier, and darker than your average gal, but that doesn't matter. He was what his friends would say, madly in love. 'I guess it is true that you can fall in love at first sight. She's beautiful...' He finds it adorable that she blushes when he thanks her and holds her hand in his. "M-May I-I-I join you for a while miss? I'm actually being chased by the Empire because I refused to be enslaved just to pay off a debt my family owes them." The woman blinks and was about to answer, but is soon interrupted by a blond man with blue eyes behind her.

"Aww, you met a new friend, Neji?" The man coos out.

The woman, Neji, snorts and rolls her eyes. "This guys behind me is Luke, if you want to join, ask him," she then turns around, "You shut up! I had to save him, he was attacked by that Butterfly thing I told you about once upon a time." Luke chuckles and lifts his hands up, "Please have mercy on my soul." He says jokingly. Neji shakes her head while secretly nudging Ulysses to ask his favor.

Though nervous, the man does so. "Uh, excuse me? Is it alright if I stay with you all for a little bit? The Empire is chasing me because I refused to be a slave to pay off my family's debt. Most of my family are dead except for my two grandmothers, one from my dad's side and one from my mom's. Who lives off planet." Luke hums and walks closer to Ulysses, "May I pat you down?" Ulysses is puzzled but he lets Luke do his thing. The result was that there was no secret tracking device or anything else that would cause Luke and the others some concern. Luke stands up and straightens himself out, "I think we have space for one more. What do you think, Han? Leia?" He asks the other two. Leia smiles and gives a thumbs up while Han grumbles out, "You won't listen to me anyway, your kindness is too much. So, whatever." Luke looks back at the man in front of him, "I guess you can join for now! But for of course, if this man here says you're out, then you gotta leave. Kapeesh?" Ulysses answers, "Yes!" He then follows everyone else to the ship.

Over the course of three years and a few months, Ulysses and Neji got to know each other and become very close. One year after they met, Ulysses calls Neji to come outside with him when the Millennial Falcon was securely on top of a wide hill. Neji tells him to wait and she puts on a pearl white nightgown and ties her long, now curly hair in a high ponytail. She slips on shiny, pearl white sandals before heading outside. "Hey there, what's wrong? Why did you call me here?" She asks, a bit concerned.

Ulysses looks at her and blushes, immediately looking away as he fumbles his fingers. "W-Well, I have something to tell you. Neji, you're so kind, intelligent, beautiful, funny, and so much more. I'm blessed to have met you and have you in my life. You're the light to the darkness in my life, ever since you saved me back then, I couldn't stop thinking about you. Neji...I know that I might not reach the level of your old friend Kairo but...will you please be mine for as long as we live together?" He holds her hand in both of his, looking deeply into her eyes to let Neji know that she is all that matters right now. She is the only focus in his world.

Neji's eyes widen and quickly fills up with tears. Is he serious? Does he seriously want to be with her? But..."what if I'm not good enough for you? I'm much fatter than your average girl in the universe..." Ulysses cups her face and brings it forward, kissing her passionately. Neji softly gasps, tensing up for a second before relaxing, wrapping her arms around his neck and letting herself be loved. When the two finally pull away from the kiss, Neji cups Ulysses's face with both hands, smiling with tears running down her face.

"Yes...yes, I will be yours. Thank you for accepting me."

Ulysses turns his head slightly and kisses the inside of her hand before turning back and smiling back at her softly, "Of course my love. Of course. Thank you for giving me a chance and accepting me. Even though I may not be manly enough that you deserve, I will do whatever I can to protect you with my life."

Neji snorts and kisses his nose, "Darling, you're more of a man than most that I have met. Trust me, you're perfect."

"Says the one who is more perfect than I am."

The two lovers chuckle and engage in another passionate kiss as Luke, Leia, Chewie, and Han look on from inside the ship with big smiles on their faces.

End of Flashback...

Neji soon starts to tear up again as she reveals, "We got pregnant some time after...probably another year or so. But fast forward now a few hours ago," she starts to sob as her midwife goes over and hugs her close, which Neji gratefully accepts, "He was fucking shot by those Empire bastards...on the orders of Darth Vader and this Darth Sidious guy. I couldn't do anything to help him! He held my hand and weakly beg me to calm down and stay strong for the group and our baby! B-But...I don't know how to move on without him! He was the PERFECT friend and lover. Though of course I'm not perfect, especially in my past, he UNDERSTOOD me. He LISTENS to me. He doesn't lash out at me at all and acts out of turn. If I did something wrong he, rightfully so, tells me to stop in a stern voice and COMMUNICATE with me! I love him miss...I love him! He is a much better person than I am!" The midwife comforts and shushes Neji, rocking her a bit as if she were a child. From outside, a masked figure stood there as if they were in some sort of shock. As if they heard something that they never expect.

"Wow...I really lost my place and chance..rightfully so. I was a bastard back then. Maybe right now is not the best time to reveal and reach out. I will keep my eye on her as much as I can to make sure she's happy and safe, but for now, I will be on my way..."

The figure disappears from sight.
