Chapter 29:
She was almost there, she knew it, just three more days then he would be back home, back with his family. And she has a surprise for him…
Aiden jumps from his sleep, he dreamt of another global catastrophe, replicators attacking the Earth, human soldiers losing their lives! But that's not the worst part, he leads the onslaught, he leads the army, he leads… the replicators!
"I am not that monster, I am not that monster, I am not that monster." He repeated, over, and over, and over.
His bedroom door swings open slowly, and little Grace stands there, with her little stuffed bunny in her hands.
Aiden, confused, looks at his little sister. "What's the matter Little G?".
"Bad dweam.".
Aiden, immediately smiles at her, "Get in here.". And she runs up and jumps into the bed, Oscar, scooting closer to them both. While his arms wrap protectively around them both.
Hs swore at that moment, he will die for them.
Morning came, and Jack and Sam were looking at the sight in front of them, both their children and dog, cuddling together, with their eldest, arms around them both, as if he was protecting them.
"This is too adorable to pass." Sam stated, resting her head against her husband's shoulder. "Got that right." Jack said, placing his arm around his wife.
Oscar yawns a little as he wakes up. He sees both Jack and Sam, and he jumps up, bolting for the door. Grace wakes up second, seeing her parents, she holds her arms out, and Jack lifts her.
When Aiden comes around, he sees his parents, and he flushes. "Not-a-word." And he gets up. Grabbing the nearest shirt. Putting it on, he goes to look for his shorts and running shoes. "Damn, where are my stuff?".
When did eventually get his gear, he walks right pass the TV and that's when he saw Kinsey giving a speech at one of his rallies.
"A vote for me, is a vote for a good cause, with me as president, I will expose all the secrets that the government is keeping from you! There are things, that are being with held from you, and you have the RIGHT, to know! So, vote for me, vote Robert Kinsey on election day!".
The people who did show up, all cheered, it's a real shame these people who support him, have no clue of his true intentions.
"I hate that guy!" Aiden shuts the door as he left for his run.
