"I am coming through the door like a normal person!" All Might announced, walking in.
"People don't announce themselves," Yumi sighed, following him. "I'm Arrowette but you can call me Sogeki, I'm going to be your heroics teacher. Bakugou, nice to see you still managed to get here after I arrested you," she said, smirking as he growled.
"Um, shouldn't All Might be teaching us?" Kaminari asked.
"He's going to be assisting me with some of the classes where I think he might be able to give some insight, such as todays," she said. "Today you will be doing interior battle training to give us a good idea on where you are in terms of combat against other people instead of just robots."
"But first you must look the part," All Might said.
"These cases have your costumes, grab your case and change into it. After that meet us at the entrance to Ground Beta," Yumi said, hitting a button that caused a wall to open and cases to appear.
Melissa and I got up and grabbed our cases and started walking towards the locker room.
"Did you get your batons ready?" she asked.
"Not quite yet," I said. "Don't worry, I got the rest of my suit ready as well as some of those special surprises."
"Please tell me Nezu actually approved them," she said.
"Of course he did, after watching the effect of them of course," I said, opening the door.
We went in and changed while the others started to come in.
"Hey, Sogeki, are you related to Arrowette or something?" Ashido asked.
"Er, kinda," I admitted. "After she saved me from killing myself and from my toxic mother I lived with her for a bit and a couple of weeks ago she signed me into her family. I guess you could say she's my sister."
"Wait, so you're the girl my aunt Nemuri told me about," Tokage said. "She said she met a young girl who one of her co-workers saved and that I would probably meet her in class."
"Wait, your aunt is Midnight?" I asked, putting my padded shirt on and adjusting the sides so the bat symbol was in the middle.(I explained how it looked before, but for those who can't remember sorry I am going to take the lazy way and just say it's Stephanie Brown's Batgirl costume.)
"Yeah, so, what's with the bat theme?" she asked.
"Well, I decided that since I'm going to be an underground hero I should use a symbol or something and since the bat is a night hunter that some people fear I'll use it as a symbol of fear for those who do evil at night while also a symbol of hope for those who travel the night," I explained.
"As if anyone would fear you," Yaoyorozu said.
"Says the girl who tried to attack me and after I knocked her down was too scared to even try to fight back," I said, putting my cowl on.
"Please don't start a cat fight," Tony said in my ear.
"See you all at the test field," I said, walking out. "How is the connection?"
"Good, I have access to all of your contacts and devices on you and can modify them as required. I am connected to the UA system as well as your personal lab," Tony said.
"Alright, let's go," I said, walking to the ground.
When I got there Bakugou and Toga were already there as well as Yumi, Tsutsumi, and All Might.
"Looking good kid," Tsutsumi said, looking at me. "I like the bat theme."
"Thanks," I said.
"Hey Izu, how do I look?" Melissa asked me.
I turned to see her in a skin-tight black suit with guns holstered on her thighs with extra magazines. She had a golden belt with a red hourglass in the middle and a bunch of pouches for random things. I could see her basic batons on her back. The analytical part of my mind however was overruled by the horny part of my brain that just saw my extremely hot girlfriend in a skintight leather suit with the most confident look that I had ever seen on her and my mind was mush.
"Sexy," I muttered.
"That is not the response she was looking for."
"Oh, um, thanks," she said, her face going red as she brushed some of her hair behind her ear. I then realized she was wearing her contacts instead of her normal glasses.
"Alright, if the two love birds are done ogling each other we can get started," Yumi said, the smirk present in her voice.
"Shut up, you're just jealous because you are lonely," I said, looking at her.
"Can it, shrimp," she shot back. "Now, today you will be randomly put into teams of two. During each simulation two teams will be in a building. One will be the villains protecting a bomb while the other team are the heroes who are to go in and capture the villains and the bomb before the time limit. The villains win if ten minutes pass or they capture both heroes and the heroes win if they touch the bomb or if they capture both villains. If this white capture tape is wrapped around any part of your body I or All Might will call you out and you are to stop and not do anything else. If you do anything else it will reflect on your grade for today. Any questions?"
"Why are we being randomly split up? Would it not be more intelligent for us to partner up with someone who we can work with?" Ilda asked.
"When heroes are on the job they don't have the luxury of choosing who to team up with or they can cause more harm than good. Take the sludge accident earlier this year. While Bakugou was being held captive by the sludge villain and throwing explosions around everywhere the heroes couldn't get to him and decided to wait around for a hero to help. Instead what they should've done and I did do was to work with who was there and what they had on them to make it work. Through the work of me and Izumi we managed to put the fires out and get Bakugou away from the villain," Yumi said. "Those heroes put Bakugou's life at risk because they didn't have the 'right quirks' for the job. There is no such thing as the right quirk for a job, just the job and what you have to complete it."
"Why are they taking place inside?" Tokage asked.
"Good question, most villain fights are seen outside, but more happen inside than you would realize because it isn't seen by the media and therefore not publicly seen as much compared to the ones seen outside where more people are to record as well as the media," All Might explained.
"Now, let's get onto the groups and who will be going up against who," Yumi said, pulling out some boxes and shaking them to reveal that balls were in them.
Heroes vs. Villains
Sogeki & Tokage vs. Bakugou & Ilda
Shield & Jirou vs. Yaoyorozu & Kirishima
Kaminari & Sero vs. Ashido & Toga
Ojiro & Uraraka vs. Tokoyami & Yanagi
Todoroki & Shouji vs. Kendo & Kodai
After the teams were read out Yumi looked at me and was about to say something before I shook my head at her knowing what she was going to say.
"Alright, the villains can go into the building and here is the map for the heroes," All Might said, handing the blueprints to Tokage.
The class walked away as she walked over to me wearing a skintight suit that looked like purple scales and a matching domino mask.
"Alright, how do you want to do this?" she asked.
"Bakugou is going to go after me first," I said.
"I was going to ask, what is that about?"
"He went to Aldara Middle with me. He was one of the kids who bullied me. Before you ask yes Yumi knows and I told her I was fine going up against him. Now, Ilda is heavily armored and you will have to go up against him," I said.
"I could just split up and go past him," she said, her hand popping off of her body with part of her costume attached.
"What is your quirk exactly?" I asked.
"I can split any part of myself and control it mentally. I can also still feel and sense things through my separated body parts. My costume is made with skin cells from my hair so I don't go naked, not like I nor anyone would complain," she added.
"Exobistionist, noted," I said, smirking.
"You know it, do you think your girlfriend would mind?" she asked, slightly posing.
"Yup, Kayama is definitely your aunt," I said.
"She's technically my aunt, but after my parents got killed in an accident she took me in. I was three at the time so I grew up with her more so as a mom and Anan something akin to another parent," she said.
"Sorry to hear that," I said.
"It's part of what drives me forward," she said.
"Alright, you're good to go," Yumi announced.
"When Bakugou intercepts us, go off and find Ilda and the weapon," I said, checking my gauntlets to make sure my metal fins were good.
"Let's win," she agreed.
We went up through the first floor to the second when the sounds of explosions started to the point they were nearby. He then appeared at the end of the hallway and started charging at us with explosions.
"Deku!"
"Now!" I yelled, ducking under his first punch. I then went to counter but he lifted his gauntlets up, gauntlets I had helped him design when we were young.
"Why won't you just stay down in the dirt like you're supposed to? First you got that useless bitch of a hero to arrest me, then you went after the worthless school and got more bullshit charges on me. Now I'm technically a criminal because of you!" Bakugou yelled, putting his left arm forward to cause an explosion. I ducked under his gauntlet and swiped at it with my fins causing the loud screeching of metal on metal as I cut a small gash in it.
"You're a criminal because what you did was illegal," I said, kicking him back into a wall. I then threw a batarang at him and it embedded itself into his thigh.
"You think some measly toys you made will be enough to take me down? I'm going to be the next fucking number one!" he growled, charging me.
We kept exchanging blows with him throwing explosions at me while I dodged all of them. Then he threw a right hook and I heard a small click.
"Finally full," he said, lifting his left arm up and pulling back the pin on his gauntlet. I looked and saw liquid dripping out of the gash I had cut in.
"If he causes an explosion with that he could kill everyone in the building, I just told Arrowette about it too," Tony said.
"Bakugou! Don't you dare do that!" Yumi said through the speakers. "It's too dangerous!"
"Don't worry, not like anyone will miss her, and plus, she'll live if she dodges," he sneered, grabbing the pin that had popped out.
"All Might!"
"DIE BITCH!" he yelled, pulling the pin.
I turned and put my cape between us as a loud explosion sounded. I then looked and saw Bakugou on fire and with his left gauntlet destroyed. I quickly grabbed my mini fire extinguisher and put it out as All Might jumped into the room.
"What did you do?" he asked, looking at me.
"DOn't just stand there! Take him to Recovery Girl!" I yelled, pointing at Bakugou.
He gently picked Bakugou up and ran off a loud boom as he launched himself at the school.
"Bakugou is out," Yumi said. "Tokage has touched the bomb, Heroes win," she added, her voice strained. "Head up to the viewing room and we can talk about how everyone did."
I slowly walked out and Tokage met up with me with Ilda not too far behind her.
"What happened?" she asked.
"I-um, it," I stuttered.
"Hey, are you ok?" she asked.
"I'm not sure," I said.
"You are going to be talking to a therapist after this," Tony said, and I couldn't disagree with him.
Eventually we got up to the room and Melissa came up and captured me in a hug.
"It's alright, there was nothing you could've done. It was his fault," she whispered in my ear.
"Alright, who can tell me which one of them was the MVP of the match?" Yumi asked, looking at me with worry.
"Sogeki was," Kendo spoke up.
"Why?" Yumi asked.
"She came up with a good plan from knowing her opponents as well as her own strengths and weaknesses. She also was worried about her opponent even after he had severely injured himself trying to kill her from the looks of how he was aiming and what I assume the gauntlets were supposed to do. Whether she knew what they did before hand and sabotaged them on purpose or it was just an accident she kept herself safe," Kendo explained.
"Good reasoning, anyone else?" Yumi asked.
"Tokage should be, she not only held her own against her opponent but also tricked them using her quirk and proved to be the best of all of them," Yaoyorozu said.
"Alright, but didn't Izumi do that as well?" Yumi asked.
"No, she just got lucky that she didn't get hit by an explosion and didn't truly beat her opponent, and just caused unnecessary harm and injury to her superior," Yaoyorozu said.
"How is he her superior?"
"He has a quirk and is a person unlike herself," Yaoyorozu said, her voice unwavering.
"Alright, after your match you can go have a discussion with Principal Nezu about quirkless people and he can educate you on how your time here might be in jeopardy if you don't change your mindset," Yumi said, smirking. "Oh, and look at that, you're up next. I guess you can have a long discussion."
I watched the rest of the matches but my mind wasn't really there.
POV Yumi Sogeki aka Arrowette
"Nezu, we have an issue," I said, walking into his office to see the deflated form of All Might also there.
"Ah, I was just going to ask for you to join us," he said, cheerfully. "All Might here claims that Izumi Sogeki purposefully caused deadly harm to another student during your class today. Could you please explain what happened."
"Izumi was fighting Bakugou and disabled use of one of his gauntlets which Aizawa and I specifically said to make sure was not able to be used or not included," I started, still trying to figure out how they got there. "Bakugou then tried to use it on her but it backfired. I asked All Might to go stop him but he arrived surprisingly slow compared to when he dashed out during the entrance exam," I added, looking at him as his face started to falter. "Izumi tried to warn him and get him to stop but he wasn't listening. In the end the fault of the accident is on Bakugou, and if you check the tapes I believe you will agree."
"I have, and I do agree that this accident was indeed Bakugou's own fault. Luckily he wasn't too injured other than his one leg but he will still be able to walk. Also, I am looking at his costume design and can see something was erased," Nezu said, pulling the paper out. I looked and the notes Aizawa and I had made were erased. "Now, All Might, I had you take the papers to the support department so did you think it would be wise to change some of the decisions made by their primary teachers?"
"I thought they were being unreasonable with some decisions," he said. "If Melissa can have guns and Sogeki can have shuriken, both of which are deadly weapons, why shouldn't the boy have his gauntlets?"
"First off, Melissa uses rubber bullets and both have trained and have permits to use deadly weapons, Bakugou does not. You didn't read their full files, just their designs, meaning you made decisions based on limited information, something that I know UA teaches you not to do since I graduated from here myself not too long ago," I said. "Also, some other changes we had written down on designs, like Yaoyorozu and Kirishima's having more skin covered, were ignored," I added.
"I can also see eraser marks on theirs as well. All Might, out in the world you might be the number one hero but here you are the lowest level of teacher since you are an assistant meaning you can't make decisions like this, you can bring them up but not decide them without the input of another teacher. Now, we'll count this as your first offense, and the fact that you purposely made sure to arrive at the build late, I'm assuming because you thought Izumi Sogeki was the one who was going to be harmed and not Bakugou, and causing a student to be injured will be your second one. Now, if you will leave, Arrowette and I have some things we need to discuss," Nezu said, looking at him.
"Yes sir," he said, walking out.
"So, my discussion with Miss Yaoyorozu today was very enlightening for both of us I believe. I believe she now understands that she can be both expelled and blacklisted from here if she continues her quirkist mindset. She also tried to convince me to make a deal with her family's company but when she learned we were already in a new deal with Stark Ind. her facade fell for a moment, when she's in class with you be careful and keep an eye on her," he warned.
"Yes sir, by the way, Izumi asked if the school had a staff member with a therapist license, I told her about Nemuri having one so she might have a bit of a busier schedule after school now, just a warning," I said.
"Thank you for letting me know, I was actually going to ask Midnight to have a discussion with your sister but she seems to have taken matters into her own hands," he said.
POV Izumi Sogeki
I knocked on the door and stood there.
"Come in~," a voice said from the inside.
"U-um, h-hello Ms. Midnight," I said, walking in.
"Izumi, what do you need?" she asked, dropping her hero facade.
"Um, well, Y-Yumi said that y-you had a th-therapist license," I said.
"Yes I do, do you want to set up some therapy sessions?" she asked.
"Um, yeah, if it's not too much for you," I said.
"Not at all, this is part of the reason I got that license in the first place," she said, a warm smile on her face. "So, why don't you take a seat and we can work out what kinds of sessions you want and when," she added, motioning to the leather sofa in her office. "So, how do you want these sessions to work?"
"I-I'm not sure," I admitted.
"That's fine, what made you want to come here?" she asked.
"Today during the battle trials I caused a lot of harm to Bakugou. He was wearing gauntlets and I knew what they did because I designed them for him when we were young and still friends. I thought that if I cut it open it would disable it but he tried to use it and the explosion caused him to light on fire and he was so burnt," I said.
"Did you try warning him?" she asked.
"Yes, but he didn't listen."
"Then it's not your fault, he could've not used them but decided to not listen and faced the consequences of his own actions. There was nothing you could've done to stop him," she said. "Alright, so how about this for a plan, once a week after school you come to my office and we just talk about whatever you want. If something happens during the day and you need to see me just send me a message and come to my office, even if it's the middle of the day. Now, I need you to let Yumi know that we are having these meetings just so she's in the know. I can't tell anyone what happens during these meeting unless it gets to a point where I think you might be a danger to yourself or others, which I do not see happening, so you can tell me anything and if you want I can give you advice on what to do or I can just listen and be an ear for you to talk to," she explained, the warm smile on her face. "We here at UA care for all of our students and their health, both mental and physical."
"Thank you," I said, tearing up and giving her a hug.
"You're very welcome," she said, slightly surprised but hugging me back.
POV Bakugou
"DIE BITCH!" I yelled, pulling the pin. I then watched as my gauntlet exploded and then all the sweat on my body ignited as well as my vision darkened.
I opened my eyes and felt pain across my whole body.
"Don't try to move, I couldn't fully heal you," an old lady said.
"The fuck happened?" I grunted painfully.
"You used some absurd device and it backfired causing your whole body to be ignited. You're lucky to be alive. If it wasn't for that young girl and All Might's quick acting you might've died. As it is you are going to be staying here for a couple of days so we can heal your burns and make sure you don't end up even worse than just your leg," she said.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"You will have a permanent limp with your left leg since the explosion caused the shuriken that was in it to shatter," she said. "Now shut up and rest."
That bitch designed those gauntlets knowing they were going to backfire. Was she planning on ruining my chances ever since we were kids? I thought.
AN-
So, what was decided between 1 and 2 was whether Izumi or Bakugou was injured in the explosion. 1 was Izumi injured and 2 was Bakugou injured. I saw more 2s than 1s so Bakugou got injured. Next chapter will be the day of the press attack and the USJ and I am both excited and scared about the USJ because I came up with a terrible idea but it might just work along with some other consequences. Also, keep giving me ideas for Izumi to go with after the sports festival as all of them I have seen have been amazing! Also, not all heroes will be quirkist and at the current moment there are only two in the top ten who aren't quirkist(and I have messed with the top ten for plot reasons) and there is one who is kinda in the middle ground.
