Fodlan's Whirlpools Chapter 4
Kushina's POV
In front of me, Tsunade, Shizune, and Jeralt was the lady who cause little Byleth to be without a heartbeat, Archbishop Rhea. She looked at us expectantly as we were still in Remire Village. We were being treated too by the Knights as she then ask us a question.
''it has been a long time Jeralt, I have some questions if you don't mind. What happened to the Crestone? Who were these filths who disguises themselves as members of the church to do this attack?'' Rhea asked him and I would have answered but he beat me to it. It seemed he was prepared as he imminently answered her.
''Apologies but for more information, Kushina herself over there might explain things better since she can fill in the blanks for you,'' Jeralt said as I immediately knew what he was doing. He was asking to create a story from what we gathered to spin it in our favor. Rhea then looked at me and waited for my answer as I gave a small sigh and explained.
''I came here with my sons, my husband is from another continent even farther away than Almyra or Brigid. He was planning to turn my sons into weapons. They have the ability to disguise themselves as anybody and they used your church members for that purpose. The Crestone HAD to be destroyed. I arrived in Remire Village seventeen years ago with my sons and met Jeralt. Byleth had a condition that was worsening and as a doctor, I tried to help. Eventually, on the road, we were attacked by some shady people wielding what Jeralt called weird Dark Magic and they said a sentence worthy of a cult. They said, ''For all Agarthans, let there be light as the fell star stays dead''. After doing a physical examination on Byleth I found that the Crestone prevented her from having emotion but that they were tracking us by using the pulse of magic within it. I asked Jeralt if he wanted me to remove it by surgery and said yes as he had a daughter to protect. once I did and Byleth was breathing safe and sound I gave Jeralt the Crestone. I have no idea what he did with it.'' I said as the Archibishop looked at me furiously before a man with green hair and a beard began talking to her.
''Lady Rhea, I can see no deceit and it might be safe to assume the Crestone was destroyed. If you have to be angry, bear your fangs at those cultists.'' The man said as it calmed her and she seemed to exhale before speaking again.
''Thank you Seteth, I needed that. Now Jeralt, you destroyed the Crestone correct? Then I'd like you all to come to Garreg Mach, We need that much intel, and the three future rulers of Fodlan are there. It would help if you could tell them this information also.'' Rhea said as Seteth nodded too, Jeralt answered before I could yet again.
''I knew we'd have to step foot in that place again...Can you at least dispatch some men to find her sons and my daughter if we have to go there?'' Jeralt asked as Rhea nodded before answering and gave a signal to a knight of Seiros.
''I can accept that, I believe I have the perfect man for the job.'' She said as we heard a boisterous voice proclaim itself.
''Don't worry Captain Jeralt, your right-hand man from back then will have this task done in no time.'' The voice said as Jeralt's face shifted into one of annoyance as he muttered these three words.
''Urg...why him?'' Jeralt said.
POV Change: Naoto's POV:
It had been a couple of hours since we ran away as we escaped the attack on Remire Village. We were taking a break when we heard voices talking to us. as We turned our heads we saw three people. The first was a young woman in her late teens with white long hair and purple eyes. She wore a red and black academic uniform with a red shoulder cape. The second was a blond-haired man around the same age as her. he had short blond hair and blue eyes. He was dressed in the same academic uniform as her but he wore it in blue and black instead. The third and final one was a tanned young man in the same age group as the other two. he has tan skin, brown hair, and green eyes. He wore the uniform but it was black and yellow this time. Each of them had a cape over their shoulders matching their colors. The blonde-haired man began talking to us as they approached us.
''Please can you help us? We were attacked by weird people calling themselves Ninja. They took the appearance of the Church Soldiers and attacked our camp.'' The blonde man said as Naruto immiediatly began asking questions.
''What?! It was a diversion?! B-But mom, Granny, big sis Shizune, and Old man Jeralt are in that figth?! We have to do something Bro, By"'' Naruto screamed as I nodded and began steering the conversation as we got ready for battle.
''All in due time bro. If we don't kill these bandits then we won't have a clear line to go back and help them.'' I said as Byleth nodded and said her thing.
''Get ready for battle everyone. Use the forst to your advantage! We must press an advance as we slay them.'' Byleth said and Shez drew her sword and added her two gold pieces to it.
''indeed, they won't care about keeping us alive as long as they get our golds and valuable. Protect the women and young girls who can't figth and help them escape. Bandits and thirsty and lack gold. they won't care what goods they pillaged.'' Shez as we enetered another battle but we just didn't know who those three were and the surprises they'd bring in our lives.
