J= I don't know you did say Ryder woke up extra early this morning and we have been busy a lot today E= oh yeah, that's why ( phone rings) why can't he leave me alone J= let me guess it's Charlie E= oh yeah, he calls me at least once a day to see if I can let him meet Ryder but I don't really want them to meet yet. or at all J= I don't blame you Erin FaceTime everything you have told me, and what I found myself E= wait a minute you looked him up J= yes I did. I wanted to get a clear picture on who he is to make sure both you and Ryder are okay E= oh, how sweet are you ( kiss him ) J= I try to be E= so did you find anything new on him?
J= no I I didn't everything I found this what you told me so I'm glad it wasn't worse E= yeah same here J= well would it be too bad if they met one time E= well not really, but I just don't want my son around him J= I understand that, but maybe if you let him meet Ryder you can set some boundaries with him E= like what kind of boundaries J= like maybe he hast to meet Ryder at a park and not at your house E= oh yeah, I'm not having him meet him at my house. I don't want him to know where I live. Who knows what he would do.
J= oh yeah also, maybe he can't be alone with Ryder E= that is for sure J= also make it clear to Charlie that Ryder won't ever call him Dad for right now E= who's that is for sure Ryder will never call Charlie Dad J= oh yeah, but that gives you ideas on how things can go with Charlie. I pick Erin up and carry her to the room. Can we play around of Scrabble and then fall asleep?, the next morning Ryder was so happy to see me being there in the morning. I was happy to wake up to him to we ate breakfast together, and then headed off to work towards the end of the day I watched Erin exiting the locker room, looking strange
J= hey is everything OK?
E= yeah so all day I've been thinking about what we talked about last night with Charlie and Ryder J= oh, you have E= yeah and I think I've decided on it J= oh, really what did you decide?
E= I think I'll let Charlie meet Ryder with boundaries like you mentioned J= oh, OK so have you called him yet?
E= no I haven't yet I just decided like five minutes ago that they should meet J= oh OK so are you going to call him now or wait?
E= I want to just get it over with already, so I want to do it now. I also want to have you there when I do it.
J= of course I can be there. How about you and me going to hang office and call him in his office?
E= yeah that's a good idea J= let's go E= ( knocking ) Hey Hank, you got a second HV= yeah sure come in guys so what's up E= so Charlie has been trying to contact me so that he can meet Ryder for the first time HV= are you kidding me?
E= well me and Jay were talking about it last night J= and I mentioned maybe they should meet but make sure she has some boundaries that with Charlie before he meets Ryder HV= that's isn't a bad idea Jay E= so I thought about it all night and day and I decided that maybe they should me and I came in here so I can have you and Jay support me when I call Charlie to set the walls so he can meet his son HV= all right I can do that when ever you're ready go ahead and call him E= all right here goes nothing ( calls him) CP= hello it's Charlie E= hey Charlie it's Erin CP= wow Erin about damn time you call me back when can I see my son E= hold up for you are lucky I change your mind so please don't give me an attitude at all CP= whatever E= so you can meet your son but when you do meet him I want to set some boundaries before you do CP= are you kidding me boundaries to meet my own son E= Charlie, do you want to meet your son or not?
CP= yes I do E= all right so first rule is Ryder will not call you Dad you're only Charlie to him someone that his mama knows from way back then CP= fine what else?
E= well when we meet up, you'll only meet him in public so like at a park CP= OK I can do that E= and last, but not least you will not be alone with him. I have to be there with you guys the whole time.
CP= that is just crazy. I won't hurt my son so I don't need a damn babysitter. Erin E= well those are my rules if you want to meet your son if not, this conversation is over CP= all right fine off all the res so when can I meet my boy E= how about next Thursday around 2 PM at Maggie Daley park CP= all right that works for me. See you guys next Thursday ( hangs up) E= thank God that's over with J= you handled it very well Erin HV= oh yes you did E= why thank you guys J= so do you want any back up when you guys meet up with Charlie?
E= yes, I would HV= I can also come along if you want me to E= no I think if you come along, it will be overkill in Charlie will hate it more and be super mad at me and try something so I think will be best if only Jay comes with me J= she makes a good point HV= all right I want to come, but if you need me I'll be there E= all right thanks Hank HV= you are welcome J= so are you ready to go home now E= yes I am. J= all right HV= hey kiss my grandson for me E= will do. Maybe you should come over one day to have dinner with us.

Me and Erin we work weeks stop and grab a pizza before we go to her place to see Ryder

We all sit down to eat or pizza for the next 30 minutes as we are eating Ryder tells us about his day
RD= best pizza ever J= I agree with you buddy that pizza was amazing E= totally agree RD= oh, I got something for you. Jay I'll be right back.

I follow Ryder after the bath and help him get a bath, and then I read him one bedtime story he falls asleep pretty fast, so I took him in and leave his room quietly
E= you better not leave me to go home tonight or else J= I wouldn't dare do that E= good choice, sexy man J= so when are you going to tell Ryder about his meeting Charlie thing E= I think I'll talk to him in the next couple days. I first got to figure out the right way to tell him so hopefully he will understand.

We head off to bed over the next couple days Erin figures out what she can say to Ryder about meeting Charlie soon
Erin's pov; it's been three months since I finally told Jay and everyone else that I had a little boy and letting them meet him and in the end I'm so glad I did because Ryder has the best family that loves him, and he adores I think Ryder two favorite people are Kevin YN Jay, which is amazing that other day after Charlie tried to call me again me and Jay talked about. Maybe it was time for Ryder to meet Charlie after I thought about it the next day I agreed so I call Charlie and set up the boundaries and set a day and time for them to meet and now today is the day I am nervous. Hopefully everything goes great today Ryder doesn't have school. So he is coming to work with us.
J= wow you are so lucky you get to come here on your day off from school E= so lucky RD= I can't wait to hang out with uncle Kevin all day today J= what you don't want to hang out with me today RD= no Jay I hang out with you all the time anyway it's time to hang out with uncle Kevin J= that just hurt E= well get over it until three months ago he only wanted to hang out with me P= and there is my newest recruit, Mr. Ryder Dean Lindsay are you ready to get to work?

J= well first of all, you should know your mommy loves you so very much RD= and I love her so much E= oh, how sweet well anyways that man that near me way before you were born and he came around and he wanted to meet you. Would you be OK to hang out with him?
J= you don't have to if you don't want to buddy RD= it's OK mommy I can hang out with him. I love meeting new people.

For the next 10 minutes I tell Ryder all the nice things about Charlie than Kevin take Ryder to show him things
J= you did a very good job babe E= I think it's hard because I don't want him to know that Charlie is his father but also don't want to lie to him J= well you did the best you could and Ryder is just the best kids so he will understand sooner or later. E= he really is J= and you did a really good job raising him all by yourself babe E= no thank you thank you for just being you jay You are truly the best.
We spend the next couple hours just Getting some work done and then it was finally time to go meet Charlie.
J= hey babe are you ready to go and meet up with Charlie E= is it really time only in the time has came up fast J= oh yes, it did E= hey Hank, we are leaving now HV= all right hope everything goes great E= yeah, same here HV= if anything goes wrong please call me and I'll be there J= oh, we will let's go get Ryder E= yes let's P= well officer, Lindsay you are doing an amazing job with this job RD= why thank you Trudy E= hey, there is my favorite cop RD= Hey mommy look with Trudy got me a badge.
E= wow so cool J= how come he gets to call you Trudy and I don't even get To do that RD= because Jay I'm special P= and because I like him more than you chuckles J= not with the nicknames platt E= hey buddy are you ready to go meet a new friend?
RD= yes, I am mommy P= well thanks for being the best coffee ever work with RD= you're welcome Trudy P= see you later buddy
We leave the district and head to the park we get there and don't see Charlie right away
J= all right I'll go hide somewhere, so Charlie doesn't get mad that I'm here E= yeah good idea J= hey buddy you have fun with mommy and you be a very good boy to your new friend like I know you can RD= all right I will jay J= if you need anything, I'll be close by E= all right thanks for coming J= it's no problem ( kiss her forehead)
She walks away before Charlie shows up. Luckily I can see where he goes but also he is hidden enough now we just wait on Charlie about five minutes later.
CP= I'm so so sorry I'm late I had to stop and grab him a toy E= well first of all that toy you got him is for a baby but thanks for trying CP= all right my bad E= OK so Ryder this is mommy's friend from a long time ago. Can you say hello to Charlie?
RD= hello Charlie I am Ryder CP= hello Ryder nice to meet you. You look so much like your mom.
E= we get that a lot RD= oh yeah E= how about you guys go and start playing on the park?
CP= sounds good to me
Ryder and Charlie head off and start playing together over the next couple hours. I watch them and then it was time to leave when we got home. Ryder told us all the stories. Charlie told him about me and how he would like to hang out with him again so over the next month we set up three more play dates that have gone well and today we have another play date at the same park today. It's just me since she has to work right now they are playing basketball. They have been playing for a little bit but I'm glad it's going well with them when all the sudden my phone rings.
E= hey there sexy mean J= hey sexy mama E= oh boy, we are crazy J= oh yeah, so how are things going with Ryder and Charlie ?

AO= you seem out of breath J= I think something happened to Erin HV= what do you mean Jay J= well you know how she took Ryder on another play date with Charlie AO= oh yeah J= well I just called her to check on how to play date was going when all of a sudden I hear a loud noise and then it got quiet and then she didn't answer me AR= how sure are you that she is in trouble Jay J= I am 100% sure item I just feel like something is wrong with Erin and Ryder it's a gut feeling AD= I get that feeling too sometimes just so I know how that feels HV= hi everyone let's go to the park to make sure everything is OK KA= all right
They all run down to the cars and head to the park. They live within 15 minutes and start searching the park.
J= Erin is that you ( see her ) oh my God Erin everyone I found her by the playground HV= I'll be right there J= Hey babe wake up open those beautiful eyes so I know you were OK.
E= ( starts to wake up) Jay, is that you J= yes it is babe do you feel OK?
E= yes I'm fine but my head is killing me like I got hit with something HV= hey Erin I'm glad you were OK. Where is my grandson at?
E= he is over there with Charlie playing basketball KA= Ryder isn't here Erin E= wait what where is he at? Where is Charlie AR= Charlie or Ryder isn't nowhere in the park Erin J= wait are you serious KA= yeah we searched the whole park and couldn't find them AR= could Ryder maybe you ran off somewhere like further than the park E= no fucking way out of that wouldn't happen Ryder doesn't runoff like that HV= all right everyone chill out Kevin, Adam, and Antonio in Alvin, start searching the park and start asking everyone to see if they have seen Ryder or Charlie KA= you got it boss AR= all right HV= hey dispatch it's 5021. Can you please send an ambulance to my location DIS= copy that Sergeant E= hank I don't need an ambulance HV= yes you do Erin you got hit on the back of your head you need to be checked out J= please do it for me. If you don't get checked out by an ambulance, I'll bring you to the hospital myself.
E= fine I'll do it only to get you guys to get off my back
Once an ambulance survives, the paramedics checked me out after 10 minutes they determine I don't have a concussion and they clean my head up from the blood
HV= all right everyone an update please AD= the people I talk to didn't see anything so I have nothing AR= yeah, same with me KA= one lady told me she heard a little boy screaming for his mom and another lady saw a man dragging a little boy screaming through the park HV= please tell me she saw the person who was carrying the little boy and can identify them KA= oh yeah, I showed her a picture of both Charlie and Ryder and she said that is who she saw E= are you kidding me? Why did he have to do this? I was letting him see his son J= Erin this isn't your fault Charlie did this just because so don't ever blame yourself HV= all right everyone the best we can do is go back to the district to start looking into things
We all head back to the district and start looking for Charlie and see where he could have token Ryder about two hours later after looking
AD= I think me and Kevin found something HV= you do what did you find?
KA= so we keep searching for an abandoned warehouses, and we found one about two blocks away from the park in about 2 1/2 hours ago. A car pulled up with a man carrying a little boy inside.
E= wait let me see ( she looks) Oh my god there is. Ryder and that's Charlie AR= are you sure Erin E= Adam if you ask me one more time if I'm sure I will murder you and nobody will find your body. I know what my son looks like, so yes, that is my son and Charlie.
AO= Adam, it would be best to stay away from Erin for right now AR= all right J= have they left that warehouse since they have arrived about two hours ago AD= no they haven't moved since they showed up E= all right then let's go get my boy he must be so scared right now HV= all right we will but when we get there you and Jay, I'll be waiting outside you guys understand if not you guys will be staying here at the district J= yes, I understand Sergeant E= fine I understand HV= all right let's go
We all had to the location. We arrive within 20 minutes. Everyone gets vested i up and headed inside while me and Jay are outside waiting.
E= oh, I hope he is OK J= don't even think about that babe. Charlie may be a bad guy, but I don't think he would never harm Ryder E= let's hope so if he did anything to Ryder I might kill him J= oh yeah, same ( hugs her) E= why is this taking so long?
J= I don't know. Hopefully it will be over soon.
E= yes please I just want to hold him J= same here ( see a doctor) oh look there he is E= oh my god Ryder ( starts crying) RD= mommy daddy E= it's so great to see you J= hey buddy
We stay there, hugging Ryder for a while I'm so happy he is OK and in my arms again then we head back to the district. Once we get back we noticed that he had fallen asleep so we bring him into the break room to sleep.
AD= all right Charlie is an interrogation room one HV= all right come on Alvin let's go question him E= wait Hank let me go in before you do HV= I don't think that's a good idea Erin E= come on hank I want to know why Charlie decided to kidnap Ryder J= if it would help, I'll be in there with her HV= that might make it worse AO= hang I think we should let them in if that was you or me who their little girl or a little boy got kidnapped we would wanna know why and nothing would hold us back from going in there asking HV= all right but you guys got five minutes if I say leave, then you do so without questioning me do you understand J= yes, I understand E= all right I understand HV= then go ahead CP= ( opens door) about damn time. Somebody came in here. ( see Erin and jay) nope I don't want you two I want somebody else E= well you have no choice Charlie you get us some one question why did you kidnap Ryder CP= well, if you didn't keep me away from my son, I wouldn't have to kidnap him J= are you kidding me?
CP= Boy Scout you shouldn't be here that is my son not yours E= okay then where have you been for the last five years to be a father to Ryder CP= I wasn't in Chicago because Hank Voight sent me away J= I wonder why CP= why are you even here Boy Scout J= I'm here to make sure you know what you are losing when it comes to your son E= how long have you had this plan to kidnap him?
CP= since you called about two weeks ago to set up a time to hang out with Ryder after I've been asking for weeks before hand J= so you were playing nice in front of everyone and in reality you were going to take him at some point CP= oh yeah E= this is beyond ridiculous. I'm so glad Ryder has Jay to look up to CP= you better keep Jay away from my son J= what are you going to do about it?
HV= all right times up yet you can leave it's mine and Alvin's turn E= Hi Charlie don't wish you well CP= hey Boy Scout J= what do you want Charlie CP= here in the next month Erin will be sleeping with someone else, because she always has been a slut J= you asshole ( punches him) CP= what the hell did you see that he should be arrested also HV= I didn't see anything AO= neither did I sorry E= Come on jay let's go take our son home J= all right ( they leave)
We leave Hank and Alvin which Charlie while we go and grab Ryder and head home before we arrive home we stopped and grabbed pizza for dinner
RD= I'm hungry mommy E= I nobody that's why we got pizza on the way home so we can eat something J= let me go get some plates E= all right
Jay grab some plates and we start to eat about 10 minutes. I know we were done eating.
RD= hey mommy E= yeah baby what's up RD= so Charlie told me something today while we were inside the warehouse J= he did what did he say RD= he said that he was my father, so mommy is that true E= oh, boy J= I guess it's time to tell him E= oh yeah, all right so Ryder I didn't really tell you the truth a couple weeks ago, when you asked about Charlie RD= how come mommy E= I just wanted to protect you baby from him RD= why is that E= well because Charlie never was a good day and I thought he would change but I guess he never did RD= it's OK mommy I understand ( hugs) that's why you are the best mommy ever E= oh buddy I love you so much ( kiss ) RD= well Charlie isn't my daddy Jay is my daddy and I love him so much J= oh buddy I love you so much too E= family hug time
We all hug and then spend the rest of the night, just snuggling each other, and watching TV about three hours later
J= he is asleep again E= well he had a long day J= oh yes he did E= well he also did call you a very special name today J= oh yes he did E= so how do you feel about it Dad J= I was shocked at first but then when he said it again, I was being a puppy. I've always show me that moment when someone would call me Dad I just made my day.
E= well I'm glad J= but how do you feel about Ryder calling me dad do you think it's too soon for him to do that?
E= oh no, of course not baby. Yes it's only been about four months since you met Ryder but at the same time ever since you met him, you have been here almost every day and Ryder just loves you. He always wants you to give him a bath or read him a bedtime story and more into me that is how a dad should be. You are his dad in for that I am fallen deeply in love with you Jay hosted my heart melts when I see you guys together today you are my backbone. I wouldn't know what I have done without you if you weren't there J= so you love me E= yes of course I love you, Jay I've loved you beyond words I can't imagine mine and Ryder life without you only if you would have us since we are a package deal J= I would love to have you both you guys are the best package deal I could ever have besides, I'm so in love with you too Erin from the moment I've seen your hazel eyes
We kiss and decide to take Ryder to bed with us and she had a busy day. We all can't wait to see how our future goes as a family.
