I wrote this poem for a poetry contest. I wrote it after watching
episode 26. Mostly the poem is about Vash keeping his promise to Rem.
This is one of my first Trigun poems, so please be kind.

Purpose

Rem is gone
Should I keep her promise?
Should I live by her words?
I am the outlaw
Humanoid typhoon my nick name
I didn't choose this way
this pain or sorrow
I am the stampede
Yet, I refuse to fight or kill
I have kept my promise to you

I look at myself in the mirror
Scars line my body
The painful reminders of my way of life
I did all this for you Rem
Because no one has the right to take life of another
I'll always remember you Rem
Because you are always with me.
