Chapter 1-The Birth
It was getting colder and darker outside. She knew the time was near. The baby was kicking harder in her stomach and instinctively she put her hand there to calm the child inside. She was so weak already from her travels the day before. She had gone off to Lake Hylia to try to catch some fish so she eat instead of starve. Unfortunately, she couldn't catch anything, but a passing runner took pity on her in the fields and had given her some bread to eat. She was so tired of starving, and hoped that her child would not be affected by her malnutrition. If there was anything more she wanted in the world, it was for this child to do something with his life and be more than she could ever dream of.
Suddenly, another shot of pain stabbed her in the abdomen and she clung onto the cold table in the middle of the one room house. Breathing even harder now, she walked as quickly as she could to her neighbor's house to get herself help. She had no money for a midwife and couldn't deliver the child herself. Katherine answered the door and saw the look of pain on her face. Immediately she pulled her in and put her on her bed.
"Go heat up some water and get me clean towels now Emily!" Katherine screamed at her daughter.
More pain was coming unto her now faster and faster. It soon became a blur. All she could hear was Katherine yelling at her to push harder, and suddenly, she heard crying in the room, but she wasn't done yet. Another long, forceful push and suddenly, she blacked out.
