Still no feedback, that's nice. Only three reviews, I was hoping this story would soar high.
~Opening on Luna and Sam, who just noticed the rain, prior to what went down with Flip~
"Ah dude, it seemed like it was all rained out from earlier." I cried out. Sam groaned and got up "This night isn't gonna be ruined because of a little rain." Sam asserted, as she put her bookbag over her head like a hat.
I did the same, and we walked over to the edge of the rocks. "It's not that big of a jump, just land on your feet, and you'll be smooth and steadyyy." Sam smiled, as she made a leap into the grass below.
I gulped "Oh- okay... I'm doing it now...any second now..." and delayed the jump, fearful of the situation.
"Come on Luna! It'll be okay, look I can catch you, if you want! Well... I can try..." called out Sam, trying to calm me down. With that, I looked and hopped off the rock, and into Sam, which did not go to plan.
"S-Sam! I- I am so, so sorry..." I stammered, as I got on my feet again, brushing off the dirt on myself, then Sam afterwords. Sam looked at me, with exaggerated disdain.
"You should be." She stopped, as she crossed her arms. I didn't mean to knock her over, into the mud damn... my heart broke, did I really just piss her off?
However, she finished her statement. "... Because that was the dorkiest takedown I've ever seen, haha!" which I responded by playfully punching her. "Oh shut up!"
I continued to walk to her place. "Soooo Lunes." She chirped. "Yes luv?" I replied, initially hesitant to call her 'luv'.
"The love letters? You really are the biggest dork I know." She giggled.
"Yeah, I know. See, the thing is that my mom, and my dad had this tradition, secret admirers was something they used to do, before they got together, so... I guess it was my obligation to continue." I tell her.
She nods her head, listening. "Yeah, that's like, the most adorable thing ever. Man, seems like just yesterday, we were watching Mick together at our school, or more like- watching you perform for the first half." She reminisced, smiling at old times.
"Yeah! I still remember the first time I dropped a letter in your, man it was a hassle, I kept saying you were out of my league, and kept on bailin'. I was even gonna give ya me favorite pick, but I bailed." I explained the complications.
Sam picks up on this, and gives a half-grin, before replying. "Hey, don't worry about it. Mazzy always said I'd be a strange lesbian."
I laugh, and attempt to comfort her. "My sister, Lori, says I'm a trainwreck-bisexual, so don't ya feel bad." Sam smiled at my words, we continue to walk.
"Well, Lori won't have anything to worry about, I'm making sure safety is all we prioritize on the Saluna express!" Sam announces, joking about the hypothetical term.
I have my hands in my pockets, as the cold air bites, and the rain slowly starts to pick up some speed, and I'm starting to rush out of the storm, with Sam following the pattern.
"Man, I didn't think we'd get this much rain!" I squint, mostly out of the cold temperature.
Sam is on the same page here. "If I knew it'd rain- I might have just asked my mom if you could swing by for dinner."
I knew it wasn't her fault, and besides, alone time with the person you love, is irreplaceable. I reached my hand out to grab hers, but bailed last second, too shy to make that move yet, even though I've done it before, we were doing it as 'friends'.
"Yeah brah, still, I can't believe you figured out I sent those letters, I was sure I'd be lowkey." I admitted.
Sam rolled her eyes. "Hey, don't think it's all on me. Mazz and Sully helped alot. I was too shaken by the fact, someone actually liked me, to continue on with the process of who it was."
"Yeah, they're some real bros, best friend's I've ever had." I confess.
"Don't you still talk to some of your old friends, like Tabby?" Sam raised her eyebrow, surprised I was just as antisocial as she was.
"Pshhhaww. Tabby was cool, but I guess once that fiasco with Lincoln at the dance, she just sort of trailed away from me." this statement made Sam feel a shock of sadness.
"You were really trying to help him, weren't you?"
I look at her, as she's now looking at the ground, stopped in her spot, even as rain started to increase intensity.
I put both of my hands on her shoulders. "I promised. I'd do anything to make my baby brother feel like an actual person, not just some third wheel to the rest of us. I may have lost a good friend because of it, but-" I wasn't able to finish, and stared into the nightsky, as a surge of lightning lit up the sky.
"- I'll make sure everything goes to plan, at some little surprise we had arranged for Lincoln. This girl, Ronnie Ann? She seems like Lincoln's best shot, she moved away, and it really set him off. I've been setting a reunion between them, maybe fix some riff and raff, make things better." I explained.
"I'll help you, Lunes." Sam gently spoke, catching me by surprise.
"Lincoln, he's a good kid. And, I know I haven't formally met your entire family yet, but- maybe one day, they could be my family too." She then blushed, and caught herself as she finished that, noticing I began to blush alongside her.
"Uh, shoot... That was...awkward..." She chuckled. Instead of laughter, I approached her, and wrapped my arms around her, bringing in a strong hug, not like the one from the Astonishing Quest, this was geniuine love, at a much stronger level.
Even as the rain increased in intensity, I continued to cradle her in my arms, before I let go, reluctant but I was getting kinda wet. No, not in that way, you perverts. It's frickin' raining.
As the wind picked up, beginning to tear off treelimbs, me and Sam picked up our pace, now in a full jog towards her place.
"Ohhh MANNNN!" I call out, as we approach her house.
Sam, now out of breath, tells me to wait by the porch. "Lunes... *catches breath* Wait under the porch for a second, I have to tell my parents I have a guest, they're gonna be so pissed I'm late without notice.." Sam pointed out, as she was supposed to be home 27 minutes ago.
Since the porch was covered, I was able to avoid a majority of the rain, and called my mother's phone. After 6 seconds of ringing, she finally answered.
"Hey sweetie! You doing okay?" she responded, with some worry to her tone.
I sit down on the steps. "I've been doing okay, but uh- it's raining mamacita. And I kinda can't walk home, since it's coming down too hard." I explained.
"Oh, dear I'm sorry- the roads are blocked off with trees, the news said it's a hurricane, bad. Lake Erie is upset, and I've been trying to call you all day. Can you find shelter?" She had even more worry to her tone.
The news never said anything about a damn hurricane! Lake Erie hasn't had one since before my parents were even born. I don't remember getting a phone call from her, but I guess the signal might've been bad.
"I'm at Sam's. The- girl I have band practice with, my best bro?" I told her.
"Alright dear, please see if you can stay the night there, *phone starts glitching* I -ve -ou" she tried to say goodbye, but I lost signal.
~Earlier, with the Sharps~
I walked into my house, dripping puddles everywhere, and mud dragging all over the hardwood floors. "Oh man- they're gonna be so-" I was unable to finish, as mom walked up with Simon peering out his bedroom door.
"Samantha! Where have you been, dinner was thirteen minutes ago!" She demanded, but in a gentle, yet worrisome motherly way.
"She clearly got a boyfriend, Les', I told ya." She heard her grandpa, Richard cackle from in the living room, watching Jag with his son, Brian. "I'm telling ya, it was about time she found her a boy." Richard continued without looking, laughing and playfully nudging his son Brian, who tagged along.
"Grandpa!" I called out, blushing. "I don't have a boyfriend!"
He simply laughed, and continued to watch his television program with my father smiling alongside, as mother held her sides in concern.
"Why haven't you been answering your phone, dear?" She looked on the verge of tears. "Sorry, I- I didn't get anything from you, honestly! I was hanging out with Luna, and we got caught up in this storm..." I stammered.
She looked even more worried. "Where is Luna? Please tell me you haven't left her out there alone..."
"She's outside, on the front porch." I explained, but my mother rushed to open up the front door, greeted by Luna sitting down on the stairs, watching the storm. "Hey, Luna dear, please come inside, you'll catch your death out there!"
Luna walked inside, standing directly on the rug, and taking off her boots. Before she could speak, my mom spoke up.
"Listen, honey. The roads are all slippery, barricaded by fallen trees, the wind is violent, nobody is out on the roads tonight, it's way too dangerous for you to walk home, so, I'm inviting you to stay here for the night, and I'll try to see to it you're home in the morning." She explained to Luna.
"Thanks, Mrs. Sharp! Yeah, I called my mom earlier, she said the same. About the roads, that is." Luna spoke up.
Oh my gosh, oh my gosh! I get to spend the night with Lunes!
I walked up to Luna, and gave her another hug. "Looks you're bunking with me, Lulu!" I wink at her.
"Oh dude, how did you- wait... You was there?!" Luna blinked.
"Mhm!" I smile, as I let go of her. We both walk up to the window, and see the rain pouring out, outside.
"Duuuude. Good thing we got here when we did." Luna chuckled, and I nodded. My family was nothing like Luna's, in terms of size.
Just my mother, Leslie, my father, Brian, both of whom work heavy shifts, while my retired Gulf War air-force veteran grandpa, Richard, lives with us, and babysits me and my troublesome brother, Simon, when our parents aren't around.
Should be worth mentioning, that even though I don't have ten other siblings, Simon is enough responsibility for me, especially walking him home from his gamer's club, and his tendency to run off, and be free spirited, and I have to chase after him. My father being a construction foreman, while my mother is a cosmetologist. We have a nice system, I'll say, can't imagine the struggle if we had 9 more to the mix.
"Luna, do you think Mazz and Sully are okay?" I asked, worried.
Luna seems to have completely forgotten about them; they went to Gus' Games & Grub as soon as they left my place, while me and Luna hung out, who knows what they're into?
"Aww shi- shoot." Luna censors herself infront of my parents. "I think they're okay, they probably found a nice overpass to park under. If they made it to the 'cade, they'll be rockin' it through the storm, till they pockets empty. "
I laughed at her statement. "Yeah, hey maybe they'll get some free grub! Lucky... Maybe we should've gone with them!" I joked, though truthfully, I am glad Luna and me got to spend some time together.
"Yeah, free pizza, and not having to fight my sib's for it. Thanks Sammy, now I'm jelly." Luna rolled her eyes, and smiled. Simon walked up to us.
"Hi Luna! Did you have fun? " Simon said, as he walked up to her.
"Hey, Sy! I've been feeling rad, you been hanging there since earlier?" Luna ruffled his hair.
"Uh-huh, I've been playing my dad's old GameCube!" He smiled. I turned to face Luna, with a smile.
"Yeah, dad went into the basement to get some of our old stuff, and found the GameCube with some of his old belongings, and lent it to Sy, and he's been playing it all week."
"Luna, sis! You guys wanna play Mario Kart with me?" He cheered.
Luna nods her head. "Sure thing, bro!"
This obligated me to go along with it, and we walked into Simon's room. We sat down on his small little futon-bed, facing directly infront of the television, and took controllers.
I played as Bowser, Simon as Toad, and Luna as Luigi.
"Oh man, you're harsh for that." Luna sighed, as I struck her with a banana, knocking her out of second place, and into fourth.
"Haha, fair game Lunes!" I smiled. Our paces changed consistently, until Simon held first place for 6 laps, before I finally bypassed both Peach and Yoshi, and made it into 3rd place.
"Ohhh Syyyy!" I sneer. "Nooo, get away from me!" He chirped, playfully terrified, as he threw out some bananas.
I dodged the bananas, but Donkey Kong was unable to, which lead to me being in second.
Grinning, I throw a blue-shell, and Luna, in 6th place, couldn't hold in her laughter, as Simon quietly screamed 'noooo' and fell out of first place, overtaken by me, who would then hold that place and finish in first.
"That was fun!" I cheer.
"Yeah dude, I never knew GameCube was so fresh." Luna threw out a rock-pose, and we played again. However, during our 3rd game, the power cut out abruptly.
"Nooooo!" Simon cried, as he just made second place. "Dudes, it's like, so dark in here." Luna reacted. We could hear the thunder, which sounded almost like dynamite going off in our backyard.
The house was constantly lit up by lightning, which helped us navigate. "Don't worry honey, I'll get the breaker." Brian Sharp called out, as he went downstairs into the basement, which I learned was also Richard's living space, surrounded by military decorations, and gunlockers and wall mounts.
I walked with Luna to my bedroom, and she sat down on my bedside, while I did the same. "Long day, huh?" I chuckle.
"Yeah! Man, this reminds me of that episode of Spongebob, where they did a night shift at the Krusty Krab." Luna said, as she looked outside.
It was terrifying. The trees were being bent, limbs were flying, and the wind made a horrifying whistle, as if it were a cry from the nature being stripped and drenched by the unforgiving weather.
"Good thing we don't gotta go outside and throw out the garbage." I snicker.
Nobody could pay me enough to step out there.
"Sooo, Sam." I hear Luna call out, as I hear the rain smacking the window.
"Yeah?" I respond. She looks at me with a nervous, but so adorable expression.
"You... Like me? Like... That kiss meant something, didn't it?"
I was now blushing. "Of course I like you, doofus." which resulted in me wrapping my arm around her, after some hesitation, of course.
"All my life... I've never dated anyone. I've never had a love letter, gotten anything for Valentine's, never had anyone, girl or boy alike, compliment me. I just..." I looked down at the ground again. "... I always felt like, I was unwanted. Even when I got into the music club, I still couldn't shake the feeling I was worthless. That was, until I met you."
Luna was shocked at my statement. "I... Had no idea luv. I've never had a boyfriend, or a girlfriend either and... When I met you, I got that feeling, I didn't know what it was brah, but I just had the urge to want you." I looked at Luna after she said this, with tears in my eyes from joy.
"That day you joined the music club. It was indescribable... The best day of my life, I should add. Followed by the day we went to the Astonishing Quest, and when we got our VIP passes to see the Swagger tour... Gosh I wanted to tell you then and there, but I was like... Hella terrified." I confessed.
"Dude. Are you thinking, what I'm thinking?" Luna smirked, despite the fact she was red from nervousness. "What's up?"
She put her hand on my lap, and kissed me. My eyes widened at our second kiss, and I froze up. "Would you like to make it official...? Girlfriend, and girlfriend?" Luna asked, sticking her hand out.
Oh man... I get to be the girlfriend of THE Luna Loud?! Please tell me this is reality, please tell me I won't wake up in my bed alone...
"I... I would love to!" I manage to choke out, overwhelmed by joy, as I stare into the twinkles in her eyes. I then grabbed her hand, and we interlocked our fingers.
She then leaned in, and kissed me deeply. With our hands interlocked, she gently used her free hand, to stroke my hair, as she sucked on my tongue.
Obviously; I've never had a makeout session before, but this felt so pure, like... This is what love is about, and for the first time in my life, I'm wanted, someone appreciates me for who I am, for what I passionize in, and that I may have a future.
I leaned in, and began to swirl my tongue in her mouth, and used my free hand to rub her back.
Do I really deserve Luna Loud? We don't have that much in common, and... Maybe she'd be better off with somebody that she can call a soulmate.
She feels so warm, and we make out for a good two minutes, before she stops to yawn. Holy fuck... That was so hot, I wish it didn't stop...
"Getting tired, Lunes?" I say, and she smiles. "Not of you, never, baby." She just called me... I think I'm gonna melt with 'aweee'...
"Hehehe... Yeah, we've had a rough day..." I rub my hair, awkwardly, and we both lie down.
~ Switch Switch, Luna is on Next Next ~
Today was so rough, I won't even lie. Not like I'm doing right now, lying down. Haha, sorry I had to slip out a Luan moment.
I look over at Sam, as she yawns. Awwww, her little yawns... I can't even...
"I love you, Sam." I told her, something I've been meaning to say all night. She turns over to look at me, with such pretty eyes. "I love you too..." and with that, she crawls over to me, and lays on her side, looking out the window to her left.
I wrap my arm around her, and look out the window with her, and we gently fall asleep.
It's about 2:48 AM, as I check the alarm clock, after waking abruptly, having the urge to piss. However, as I'm getting up, I notice something out the window, a dark, masked and shadowy figure.
At first, I think it's just a tree, but after another surge of lighting, I now make out some features. It was a person.
I gasp, and shake Sam awake. "Baby, baby!" she then turns over on her back, and leans up. "Wha- what's wrong?" she asks me, barely even awake.
I gently turn her to face out the window, and she gasps, but catches herself before she screams at the figure outside our window. It had to be atleast 8 feet away from the window.
"Do you think *catches breath and gulps* that could be, your dad? Grandpa?" I manage to choke out.
"No, I don't think so..." Sam responds out of sheer terror.
"Okay... Should we tell them there's a creep outside, in the middle of the storm? Maybe that person needs help?" I ask my girlfriend, who is frozen looking out the window.
It is then, that I notice the figure outside isn't just staring outside our house, but is staring directly into the window, at us specifically.
Sam is now on the verge of crying, and tells me "I'm game if you are..." And without a question, I slide out of bed discreetly, and Sam jolts out of bed quickly, terrified of the person outside.
She leads me to her parents room, and runs up to her dad. "DAD, DAD!" she says, firmly but not shouting in fear of alerting the outdoor snoop.
"Hu- what's wrong Sammy?" Her dad responds, with the mother waking up quickly after. "Me and Luna, we saw someone outside, staring at us!" Sam frantically tried to explain.
Her father and mother both thought it was just a nightmare, but we insisted, and it wasn't until we heard a loud thump at the walls, along with a loud scratching sound on the windows, that they took the severity of the situation.
Her father ran down to the basement with us, and woke up the grandfather, explaining the situation, and he immediately unlocked the firearms from the display rack, and ran outside with his AR-15.
Before he exited, me and Sam knew he was serious about going outside, and suggested just calling the police, but Richard explained that police would never make it, due to the storm, and charged outside.
Me and Sam both watched, as he walked outside, and we peered out through the windows as he lurked around the house to where we first saw the intruder.
"Alright you son of a bitch, show yourself!" Richard shouted, as he fired into the nightsky, the gunshot being unrecognizable due to the thunderstorm. "I'll fucking kill you, stalking my daughter!" he continued, as he turned around multiple times to continue searching for the person.
"Lunes, do you think-" Sam was interrupted by her father, Brian. "DAD WATCH BEHIND-" he managed to utter, as the masked figure jammed the machete through Richard's back, penetrating out his chest. I covered my mouth and froze, as Leslie and Sam screamed, blood squirting out of the elderly man's mouth, and I saw Brian shout "no!" as he ran outside.
I try to follow, but hear a loud *boom, boom, boom* and realize the situation, and run over to the door, attempting to lock it, only for it to fling open, knocking me over onto my ass, and I watch as the figure looks over to his right, firing multiple gunshots at Sam and Leslie, before turning it to face me. "No... Please, NO-"
I jump out of bed, sweating. "What... The fu-" I pant, loudly. Sam seems to have taken notice, as she quickly puts her arm around me.
"Hey, what's wrong baby?!" she asks, but I ignore her, immediately turned to face outside.
There stood, the same figure I had saw in my dreams, facing the window.
Thankfully, unlike the dream, we had the curtains closed, so while I could see outside at the figure through a peep in the transparent cloth, he or she, couldn't see us.
"Luna?" Sam asks again, but notices I freeze up, shaking violently, breathing heavily, about to have a panic attack. "Luna, Luna?!" she starts to ask again, but I quickly grab her mouth to shush her, and turn her to face the window.
"Lunes, is there something outside?" She asks, as she peeps through the curtain. Nothing.
She then closed the curtain back, and faced me. "Luna, you poor thing, you must've had a nightmare." And she then wraps her arms around me, snuggling me tight. I begin to cry in her arms, but finally break silence.
"It... The thing... It killed us, it was..." I struggled to catch my breath, but finished, as my heart raced. "Don't... Don't tell your parents, whatever you do, don't... It'll kill us, *voice cracks, as I break down* it'll fucking kill us..." I begin bawling, and Sam hugs me again.
"Come on, let's see if we can get some water, maybe calm down a little." Sam gently instructed, and I turn around. However, something urged us to stand still. I caught out the corner of my eye, something was in the room, but I couldn't see what it was.
Then, lightning light up the room, and we saw it.
The figure from outside, was now in the bedroom, just four feet away from the bed. I didn't get a good glimpse, of what it was, but it was short, and the face was full of blood, covering the features, as it was hunched over, and the bloody machete was raised up, seeming prepared to strike us.
Me and Sam gasp, as the figure raised its left hand slowly, before using its finger signaling us to 'hush', as it slowly crept forward.
Noticing the fact we're probably screwed, I push Sam behind me, protecting her, but in her mind, she was clearly thinking 'Luna, please... No, don't give your life for me, I'm not worth it...'
As it was directly infront of us, it kept its machete wielded, but leaned forward, before making a loud gurgling noise, and as it leaned directly above us, me and Sam were now directly on our backs, eyes closed, fearing the worst.
As it stopped, we picked up on its movement, as it rose back up, and climbed the bed, and struck the window with a crowbar it apparently had strapped onto the side, and it shattered, with pieces landing everywhere, and the masked figure then tore the bug-screen with the machete, and raced out into the night sky, disappearing.
"What... the fuck... was that..." Sam panicked, as she grabbed her chest, gasping for air, and I immediately get up, prepared to fear for the worst, but notice she's now breaking down into tears, and falls down onto her bed.
"Baby, baby... I need you to be calm, I got to check if... Everyone's alright..." I tell her, torn with worry. "No, no, no, no, no..." She stammered, fearing her family were killed by the intruder, and not wanting the closure.
"I have to, I just... We can't sit here, maybe they'll need medical attention, maybe they're-" we stopped, as the bedroom door flung open. Sam screamed at the top of her lungs, and we noticed her mom run up.
"Hey, hey it's alright baby, it's just me!" She comforted her terrified daughter, and hugged her, as she broke down in her mother's arms. Mrs. Sharp then reached out her other arm, and comforted me, as the father runs up to us.
"Girls, girls. What the heck happened?" He asked, with serious concern on his face. Sam's scream woke up her grandfather and Simon, who both immediately went to the room to investigate.
"I... What... How did..." was all Sam could say.
"We heard the window shatter, good gravy the storm really did a number on it." Mr. Sharp said, shaking his head, before also sitting down next to us, trying to calm us.
"What's going on, babydoll?" Richard asked, still in his boxers and T-shirt.
"We saw a man, he... He was in my dreams, he broke into the house and killed us... Then, then... We woke up, and the man was real, he was in our bedroom, he had a knife, a big one... And he just gargled at us, and broke the window and ran away..." I cried out, and the grandpa scratched his head.
"I think y'all just had a bad case of sleep paralysis, I get it alot too." He said, still trying to comfort us, Simon didn't say anything, afraid of the possibility of a home invasion, and checked to make sure nothing was missing.
"He couldn't have broke the window, look." Mr. Sharp pointed out, that all of the glass was spread on the bedsheets, as if something flew into the house, rather than outside it. Sam continued to insist it was real, but then nothing added up. Why would a masked man break into a house, but not steal anything, nor hurt anyone, yet wake up two kids deliberately, just to run outside after breaking a window? Who would do something like that, during a massive storm, with all the window shards inside the home, rather than outside? Also, there was no tracks of mud, puddles or any sort in the house, as Mrs. Sharp mopped up the mud we brought in from earlier.
After we were all comforted by the three, we managed to fall back asleep, but this time in the living room, as we weren't going to sleep in the bed with glass and busted window exposing us the stormy outside, and we managed to fall asleep on the couch.
At 7:33 AM, I woke up, and Sam was already in the kitchen. I yawned, before raising up to sit on the couch and assist my wakeup. "Damn, that was a rough night brah."
I notice Sam approach me with some cereal, Cookie Chrisp, and she snuck me a quick kiss, apparently not wanting her family to see. "Well good morning to you, beautiful." I smile.
"Good morning, Lunes." she chirped, excited to see me. The events of last night seemed to be brushed off as sleep paralysis, or a hallucination under a nightmare, or she just didn't wanna bring it up, and ruin today.
"Luna!" I heard Mrs. Sharp call out. "Do you want anything to eat? We're having sausage biscuits."
"I've already got her covered, mom! She's eating cereal!" Sam called out to her mother, as I'm chomping down the cereal. "Man, I can't wait to see what the storm brought to the neighborhood." I joke around.
After I finish, Sam grabs a jacket, and we are prepared to walk to my place. "Bye mom, I'm going over to Luna's!" Sam announced. "Be safe dear, stay away from power cords!" Mrs. Sharp warned us.
As we set forth to my place, we check out the surroundings. "Awww dude, I used to like that tree." I murmered.
"Ah, what's that?" Sam asked, to which I just said a simple "nothing, just talking to myself about all of this destruction."
But when we walked around the block, we saw something that was very, very frightening.
We saw a large truck, resembling a garbage truck, with a huge, hydraulic claw, chomping down on the debris. And outside, using the claw by pulling and squeezing a special lever, was Morag.
Morag was a Scottish woman, whom we had frightening troubles in the past with, our last memory being of her trying to incinerate my entire family, including Lily, the baby. Morag possesed a sinister smile, and we watched as the claw crunched the lumber.
"That's... Morag..." I freeze up, with PTSD overwhelming me, as I back away. I then notice her pull a machete from a waist holster, and slice a limb stuck to a log she was trying to remove, clearing the streets.
"Wait... That's the woman from Scotland, that you told me about? What's she doing here?" Sam asked curiously.
"I heard she left Scotland through Leni's boyfriend, and wanted to pursue a new life in America... But I didn't think she'd be here." I stammer, as I obligate Sam to run with me from the frightening sight.
We finally arrive at my place. "So, you wanna stay here with me for a while?" I ask, puzzled she'd wanna be in the crowded, rambunctious house I reside.
"Of course, Luna! I'd do anything to spend more time with you." She chirped, and we walked inside.
"No, it's mine, I saw- OOOO, WHO IS THIS?!" Lola called out, trying to fight with Lana over a dollar bill she saw under the couch, before noticing Sam.
Suddenly, all of the Loud sisters would begin to pile up, wanting to meet Sam, most of whom didn't know her name, and only I knew I was dating her.
"Wanna try this new scarf I made? It doesn't have any scars, though." Leni asked, and Sam was quickly overwhelmed by my sisters, until I broke it up.
"Dudes, quiet!" I ordered. "Listen, I wanna spend some time with Sam first, then I'll personally get you one by one, to meet her." I explained, only for the door to be knocked on. Lynn answered it, to show Mr. Grouse on the other side.
"Hey Louds, uh. You're gonna wanna get your folks to turn your television onto the news channel, something important is going on." He explained, before shutting the door and Lynn rushed to get our parents.
"What's going on?" Sam asked, dumbly. "I have no idea, luv." I said, as we walked up to the TV. Mom walked into the living room with Lynn Sr, and they turned the television on. Soon, everyone in the house gathered around, and Lori went to get Lincoln, and the two both walked downstairs.
We saw the conclusion of the breaking news, where it did an update by Catherine Mulligan. "We are being told, the body of Phillip Geraldo Phillipini has just now been identified, Phillipini was the owner of corner store Flip's Food 'n Fuel, of which he was the sole employee."
I gasped. "Flip's dead? But we just saw him yesterday!" I noticed as all the siblings were now in shock, with Sam covering her mouth and Lincoln wide-eyed.
"The man was presumably murdered by looters, in a struggle to obtain goods from his convenience store prior to the hurricane, his body disemboweled and strung up against the sign to his store. His *gags* intestines, were spread around the sign like, Christmas decorations?" she asked her co-anchor.
"Oh my god... That poor man..." Rita, my mother, shook her head in disbelief. "Who on earth would do such a thing?" Lynn Sr followed up.
"We are urging citizens with any information regarding this heinous crime, please come forth, and be on the lookout for any suspicious figures wielding a crowbar, which has been identified as one of the instruments used in the violent attack."
"That's weird... You can play the crowbar?" Leni asked, misunderstanding the 'instrument' definition.
Me and Sam looked at eachother with sheer terror. Crowbar. Masked figure. Morag showing up. The incident last night. This echoed throughout our minds, as we freeze in fear.
