Narcissa made her way back from the party on the Dutchman after a couple of hours begging fatigue. She'd wanted to relieve her crew's fears but she also now needed to discuss where she stood with her family in terms of the future.

To her luck she found her father and sister waiting up for her.

"I take it your crew was happy to have you back?" said Carina. Narcissa nodded thoughtfully.

"Yes, though I never thought that they'd care so much about my death. It was really rather moving."

"Yer a ruddy good Captain and they know it. Of course, they care," said her father with pride.

"Well, I did learn from the best," said Narcissa with a smile. For all her father's faults he'd always shown her the importance of treating your crew as more than simply tools.

"So now what?" asked Carina as Narcissa sat down next to her on the porch swing and wrapped an arm about her, their father opting for a chair directly across from them.

"Well, I think that's rather up to you. I want to get to know you Carina, in fact I have every intention of doing so but..." Carina cut Narcissa off.

"But the sea is where you belong. You and father both. I can see that now. Honestly neither of you looked particularly comfortable on land," this last part was said teasingly. Narcissa snorted.

"You should have seen father's face when the sea witch suggested he retire. I think the idea utterly offends him." Carina joined in her laughter and their father rolled his eyes good naturedly.

"I'm right here ye know."

"Yes, we know," said Carina.

"And the sarcasm comes from your side of the family anyway," added Narcissa.

Carina giggled again and their father gave an exaggerated sigh.

"So, what to ye propose Carina?" both girls sobered slightly.

"Honestly, I rather enjoyed uncovering the mystery of the trident. It was never my original intent but the adventure that came with it in the end was rather thrilling. Even if I did get kidnapped twice and mutinied on."

"Well, you've got to expect some ups and downs with pirates but it usually worked out. If we held grudges over every little betrayal from 20 years ago, I don't think Will, Elizabeth, Jack, Father, and I could sit at the same table without someone being shot."

"It didn't work anyway the last time we did shooting each other." scoffed their father and Narcissa knew he was referencing their wet powder situation on the return from the locker. Another story she looked forward to sharing with her sister.

"So, it seems," answered Carina. "Anyway. I was thinking I might come with you on the Dutchman. I know father has his own fleet but if he would consent to join us..." both girls turned their blue gazes on their father. Who gave them a small smile.

"Who am I to refuse my greatest treasures?"

"Thank you!" exclaimed Carina jumping up and hugging him with Narcissa swiftly following before pulling back and stating.

"There's plenty of room for family on my ship. Henry also mentioned enjoying his little taste of piracy so I'm sure I can convince Lizzy and Will to let him come," she shot a playful glance at her sister who blushed. Oh yes Carina was CERTAINLY falling for Henry.

Granted a pirate ship wasn't a traditional venue for courtship but since when was this family traditional?

"Well, if that's decided then I think I'll be headed to bed," said Narcissa with a yawn. Resurrections really did take the energy out of you and she'd need to be on top form tomorrow.

"Goodnight," said Carina and they embraced before Narcissa moved and kissed her father's cheek.

"Goodnight Daddy."

"Welcome back Treasure." He answered softly.

Narcissa was on the second landing when she ran into Henry.

"Oh, Aunt Cissa!"

"Hello Henry," she said with a smile. Henry looked solemn

"I wanted to thank you for everything you did Aunt Cissa. You didn't have to help find the trident and sacrifice yourself but you did and I'm incredibly grateful." Narcissa sighed and hugged her godson.

"It was nothing. Family will always come first for me and that most certainly includes you. Speaking of which are you still up for joining my crew? Carina's coming," she added this last bit teasingly.

"You mean it?" asked Henry.

"Of course, you've certainly proven yourself capable and I'd love to spend more time with you." Henry grinned.

"Then I'm in. Oh, by the way," he reached up and removed the Aztec medallion she had given him for safe keeping. "I believe you'll be wanting this back. What's a pirate lord without their piece of eight?" Narcissa smiled accepting the necklace.

"Thank you, Henry, I knew I could trust you to look after it."

"I'm glad you're back Aunt Cissa."

Narcissa pressed a kiss to the young man's brow.

"As am I Henry. As am I."

Hector woke early the next morning and tracked down Jack. What he had planned went against years of fighting but he knew it was the right decision

"Hello Jack," he said finding the man down by the docks.

"Come to duel it out over the Pearl?" asked Jack wryly. They had been in a bit of quandary because neither had wanted to give up the Pearl but now neither wanted to kill the other man for it either.

"On the contrary. I came to give her to you," said Hector getting the words out swiftly for they still caused him physical pain.

"What?" said Jack looking at him as if he'd lost his mind.

"You heard me Jackie. She's yours though I expect ye to take better care of her than the last time. Otherwise, I may need to take her back," said Hector warningly. Jack blinked.

"Why?" Hector sighed.

"I'm going to be sailing with me daughters now and I'd rather the Pearl be in the hands of someone marginally capable who does love her as she deserves." And that much was true. Jack did love the Pearl nearly as much as Hector. He'd have to or he'd have never killed Hector over it in the first place or chased after him when Hector stole it.

Jack gave the older Captain a look of understanding.

"I won't let you down. She's in safe hands." Hector snorted but it didn't have any real bite.

"So, this really is it for us. Me off with the Pearl and you off with your daughters. Quite the ending if I may say so," Jack added thoughtfully. Hector chuckled.

"Oh Jack, that's where you are wrong. This is just the beginning." They stared at each other.

It was strange how things had changed between them. They had gone from comrades, to bitter enemies, to tentative allies, then been amicable rivals, but now they could well and truly call each other friends. Or at least that's how Hector saw it. Though a death threat wouldn't get him to admit it out loud.

"Aye, you're right there. Safe travel's Hector." said Jack.

"The same to you," answered Hector and he watched the dark-haired pirate board the Pearl. Captain Jack Sparrow was back.

Narcissa was up early like her father but for a different reason. She'd spoken with her adoptive sister and Will with the rest of the group the previous day but she'd not had a chance to speak with them alone. So, she was pleased to find them at the dining room table having an early breakfast.

"Morning Cissy," said Elizabeth with a smile.

"Morning Lizzy, morning Will," she answered sitting down and spreading butter over her bread.

"So, you are off today," said Will.

"Yes, I hope you don't mind me taking Henry with me. Only he seems to enjoy the sea and it will make him courting Carina far easier."

"Ah, so you've seen that too?" replied Elizabeth with a knowing smile.

"Seen it, called it, expecting wedding bells within a year. They seem marginally less stubborn than you two so it shouldn't take nearly as long," answered Narcissa playfully.

"Well, the navy really didn't work out and I suppose he's actually safer with you to keep an eye on him," admitted Will.

"I promise to do everything in my power to protect the boy," Narcissa said slightly more seriously.

"We know Cissy," said Elizabeth with a small smile.

"Just promise you'll come back to visit more regularly now that you can come on land more often than once every ten years," said Will. Narcissa grinned.

"Now THAT is a promise, I'm more than happy to keep."

Carina walked up the gangplank to the Dutchman, with Jack the monkey on her shoulder. She was now wearing an old pair of Elizabeth's pirate garments. Luckily the two women were near the same size so the flowy white shirt, blue vest, brown breeches and boots all fit fairly well. She saw Henry wave to her as he was helping young Henry Zimmer tie off one of the lines on the ship which was preparing to depart and returned the gesture.

She also saw Ragetti and Pintel helping run the last-minute checks. It seemed they too had joined the Dutchman's crew.

Then her gaze slid up to the helm where her father and sister stood, both looking equally formidable with their large feathered hats. It seemed her family had a flair for the dramatic but Carina didn't mind. All that matter was that they were together at last.

She made her way to the helm where her sister and father both greeted her with tight embraces.

"Welcome aboard," said Narcissa with a smile.

"It really is an impressive ship," said Carina looking around at the large vessel.

"Why thank you," said Narcissa with a mock bow before adding,

"It will be nice to get back to some honest pirating rather than having to save the fate of the seven seas."

"Isn't honest pirating an oxymoron?" asked Carina and Narcissa laughed.

"Perhaps. But whatever you call it it'll still be enjoyable right father?"

"Aye, though I don't think where particularly matters as long as I have my girls with me." He answered with a fond smile that both daughters returned.

"Everything's ready Captain," said Flint coming up behind them.

"Thank you, Mister Flint," said Narcissa before turning back to the crew and shouting.

"Hands to the braces! Let go and Haul to run free!" the crew jumped into action as Narcissa's voice lowered slightly and she glanced at Carina and her father.

"Now...Bring us that Horizon."

The End

Author's Note: And so the story of Narcissa Barbossa is completed! Before anyone asks no I will not be writing any of her further adventures. At least certainly not any time in the near future. I love Narcissa but I've got some other projects I'm considering and have some more passion for at the moment. Thank you very much to all the kind people who took the time to review and encourage me. I appreciate your support.

This story originally began because I wanted to explore the father/daughter dynamic with Barbossa and I've gotten several comments stating that they remind the readers of their relationships with their dads which really touches my heart and lets me know I got it down right. So, thank you so much for that.

If you liked the series, please do leave your thoughts in the comments. It really means a lot and proves my hard work isn't just for nothing. If you liked this story, feel free to check out the others on my profile page. I have a Phantom of the Opera, Disney Hunchback of Notre Dame, and several Doctor Who fics for any who are interested.
