Chris was at Station Square running across a large bridge, with a Chaos Emerald in his hand.
"I've got to get this Emerald to Knuckles somehow. But how can I?" he said and saw a helicopter fly over him, and got an idea. "I know. We'll use the X-Tornado."
Inside the helicopter, Scarlet Garcia is giving a report.
"Good afternoon. This is Scarlet Garcia reporting to you live from inside the SSTV news copter. Citizen of Station Square are breathing a collective sigh of relief today after narrowly avoiding a surprise attack by the notorious Dr Eggman." she said.
Meanwhile Chuck, Tanaka, Tails, Cream and Cheese were at the Mansion in the living room watching the news. The latter two were enjoying doughnuts.
"Yesterday, residents were thrown into a state of panic when Dr Eggman aimed a missile into the center of the city. A missile housing a ticking time bomb that threaten to explode at any moment." Scarlet said.
"Aren't they gonna show Tails?" Cream asked.
"Chao." Cheese said.
"The situation seemed hopeless as tension mounted and terror spread throughout the city. However, thanks to a quick thinking of Mr. Miles Prower, known to his friends as 'Tails', the danger was ultimately averted and calm was restored. City officials have announced plans to honor Mr. Prower for his outstanding bravery." Scarlet said.
The screen showed a crowd of people gathered outside the mansion's gates.
"I didn't know your real name is Miles, Tails?" Chuck said.
"I like Tails better." Tails said.
"I agree, Tails is much more colorful." Tanaka said.
"Thanks, Mr. Tanaka."
Ella looked outside at the crowd.
"Are all these strange people outside here to see Tails?" she said.
"Maybe you might want to lay low with us for a while, Tails, and catch up on your rest." Chuck said.
"Yeah, we haven't seen you in a long time." Cream said.
"Chao!" Cheese said.
"I can't stay, Cream. I'm supposed to look for the X-Tornado today." Tails said.
Chuck pounded his fist into his open hand.
"I know. Just leave it to me, Tails. I've got the perfect idea." he said.
Outside the gates opened, and Ella rolled a stroller through them.
"Hello. ... Pardon me. Time to walk the little one." Ella said.
The crowd parted for her.
"Hey, lady. You're sure you're not hiding Tails in that thing?" someone asked.
"Oh!"
"I think you're pulling a fast one."
"We demand to see what you've got in there!"
"Show us! Show us! Show us! Show us!" they shouted out.
"All right, I will show you, but he's very shy." Ella said and removed the top of the stroller, revealing Tanaka dressed as a baby.
"Ga ga." Tanaka said shocking everyone. "Ga ga ga ga."
"Isn't he a little pumpkin pie?" she said and looked into the lens of a camera someone was holding. "He looks just like his daddy. But I say he has my eyes." she said they and left.
Later they were at Station Square walking then stopped. Tails came out from underneath Ella's apron.
"Come on out, Tails, the coast is clear." she said.
"That was pretty close, Ella, but we fooled them. You make a great baby, Mr. Tanaka." Tails said.
"Glad to be of help, Tails. Ga." Tanaka said.
"Bye."
Meanwhile Gamma landed in the Mystic Ruins.
"He doesn't mean to be bad. It's Eggman that's making him this way." Amy said in his head.
Then he saw a still of Eggman.
"Eggman. Dr. Eggman. My master." he said.
Gamma's brethren being teleported away, as well as Beta being modified, are shown.
"Beta, Delta, Epsilon."
Then he saw him and Amy.
"I won't let you." Amy said.
"You saved my life." he said.
"I was glad to do it. Just returning the favor."
"Friend."
"Thank goodness you're okay. I was afraid you might never wake up!"
Then he saw Lily's family. All these shots play repeatedly in his head, stopping on Eggman.
"Eggman not friend. Delete. Delete." he said.
"NO NEED" flashes in Gamma's display as Eggman was erased from his memory.
"Must help friends. Must help them." he said and took off.
At Mystic Ruins Sonic was walking toward the ruins when she saw the spirit of Tikal floating nearby.
"What the...?" she said and saw the spirit float to the entrance of the ruins. "Oh." she said and followed Tikal inside.
There was a waterfall concealing a passage inside. Tikal floated to the other side of it.
"Hmm.." she said and walked through the waterfall after Tikal.
A group of Chao looked on sadly.
Tikal lead Sonic down a passage, down some stairs, and across a bridge to a picture of a monster.
"What's this?" she said and read the text under the image. "A sea monster. Kinda creepy."
"When angry and sadness overflow like a mighty ocean. Beware the great calamity." someone said.
"Is there someone there? Come on out. I won't hurt ya." she said and was blinded as a vision started.
'It can't be Oracle, can it?' she thought and saw she was at the Master Emerald shrine with everything ablaze.
"Hey, what's going on? Where am I?" she said then caught Tikal at the top of the shrine and ran to meet her.
She was surrounded by a few dead Chao.
"It's awful! How could Father do something so terrible?" she said and looked up. "No! I must stop them!" she said and ran toward the Master Emerald, but it glowed brightly, and the vision ended.
Then Sonic was outside the ruins.
"What did I just see? It couldn't have been a dream." she said and saw the Eggmobile passing by. "It's Robotnik. What's that fathead floating around here for? Well, there's only one way to find out." she said and chased after him while he flew over a hill.
Then she noticed a stone door with Eggman's face on it. This was the hidden entrance to Final Egg.
"Time to pay a little visit." she said and spin-dashed through the door.
In Eggman's chamber an alarm sounded through the base.
"How rude! Doesn't that hedgehog know how to knock?" he wondered. "Some princess she is."
At Final Egg.
"Oh yea!" Sonic said and attacked the camera, ending the transmission.
In Eggman's chamber.
"I'll have to teach our little friend some manners. There." Eggman said and pressed a button.
In Final Egg a hidden laser blasted fire at Sonic, who easily outran them.
"Wow, you really know how to make a girl feel welcome!" she said.
At Eggman's chamber.
"Have some more hospitality!" Eggman said and pressed another button.
In Final Egg the floor opened up, revealing hidden rollers. Sonic made no forward progress on them.
In Eggman's chamber Eggman pressed another button and laughed.
"Here, Sonic. Have a ball." he said.
In Eggman's base a giant steel ball rolled toward her. She rolled in place, and the ball sent her down the corridor and out of harm's way.
At Eggman's chamber.
"I'll get you one of these days! Gaahh!" Eggman said.
At Eggman's base.
"Ah, well. Guess I'm just too fast for ya." Sonic said and suddenly ran into Bokkun.
"Ha." Bokkun said startling her by his sudden appearance. "Ha! I scared ya! I scared ya! I scared ya!"
"You'd scare anybody, Bokkun." she said. "Especially me after fighting him for so long."
"I've got another super important message from Dr Eggman himself. You better pay attention if you know what's good for ya." Bokkun said and pulled out his TV,
"Alright, Sonic. The time has come for me to settle my score with you once and for all. I think we need a man to hedgehog chat in the lower chamber. My assistant Bokkun will show you the way. ... Make it snappy." Eggman said.
The screen went black, and Bokkun started to cry, depressed that he couldn't pull a prank on Sonic.
"Oh... why do I have to do everything around here?" he asked and left.
At Eggman's chamber Sonic arrived to see Eggman in his Egg Viper.
"This better not be another trick, Robuttnik. I've been doing this for years so I know when it happens." she said.
"I'm through with tricks for today. Now, listen well hedgehog, because I've had just about enough of you! I've been trying to establish my eggs-quisitely evil empire, tried to take over Mobotropolis, but you have been nothing but a thorn in my side! You and the other two hedgehogs! Every brilliant plan I've put into action has been systematically stymied by you and your kindergarten cohorts! You've wrecked my wretched plan far too often, but you won't get in my way again, do you hear me?!" Eggman said.
"Your threats aren't gonna scare me off, Robuttnik. You really think you can get rid of me?" she asked.
"I don't think I can. I know I can."
The cockpit hatch closed, and the Egg Viper fired a laser at her, which she dodged.
"You seem a bit jumpy. What's wrong? Can't take the heat?" he said.
"I can take whatever you dish out." she said and struck the Egg Viper as it flew up and out of sight. "Coward. What's the matter? Had enough?"
Suddenly the Egg Viper emerged from the floor and threw her to the ground.
"Nothing like a good game of squash." Eggman said.
The Egg Viper crushed her with its tail. Then she spun into the robot, destroying it. Eggman emerged in his Eggmobile which headed up through the hole.
"You will pay for this, Sonic! Mark my words, you will pay!"
'Yeah right.' Sonic thought and smugly rubbed under her nose as she watched the fiery explosions.
"Man, I gotta get out of this place, and fast!" she said and spun through the hole in the roof and watched from a distance as Final Egg was destroyed.
Meanwhile Gamma was flying around.
"Searching for E-Series Robots. Data received. Location: Windy Valley." he said and flew toward Windy Valley.
At a harbor.
"Your brother and sister must still be on the Egg Carrier. There's gotta be something we can do."
Amy sat down against a barrel with her eyes Froggy appeared in front of her.
"Egg Carrier? What's that? I've never heard of it." someone said.
"That's where Dr Eggman hiding Lily's family." Amy said.
"Oh yeah. You mean, up in the sky where they took Froggy? Sure I know that place."
Amy opened her eyes and saw Froggy.
"Ah... did you just say something?" she asked.
"No, Froggy doesn't talk. That was me."
Then Big emerged.
"Hi, little girl." he said.
"Who are you?" Amy asked.
"My name's Big, 'cause I'm big, and this little fella's Froggy, because he's a frog. He's my pal."
"Nice to meet you, Big. I'm Amy."
Big pointed toward the ocean.
"Hey Amy, is that the Egg Carrier over there?" he asked.
She saw Egg Carrier floating in the ocean.
At Windy Valley Gamma located Delta tethered to a rock. Then he freed Delta and laid him on the ground before inserting two wires into the other robot.
"Must reprogram Delta." Gamma said.
The message "EQUAL" ("REPROGRAM") appeared before Eggman was erased from Delta's memory.
"Delete Master." he said then a rabbit emerged from Delta. "Master deleted. All data erased. Shutdown has been completed. Delta safe."
Gamma soon located Epsilon.
"Epsilon location detected. Must deleted Master." he said.
Near Final Egg, Eggman was erased from Epsilon's memory.
"Master deleted. All data erased. Shutdown has been completed. Epsilon safe. Beta location unknown. Gamma must find Beta." Gamma said and saw an image of Eggman carved in a nearby rock and blasts it to nothingness.
Then he remembered Beta being reprogrammed in the Egg Carrier.
"Beta still on Egg Carrier." he said and flew away.
In the ocean Amy was rowing toward the Egg Carrier.
"Don't worry. We'll get your brother and sister out in no time, Lily!" she said.
Later Amy was aboard the Egg Carrier, searching for Lily's friends.
"Who knows, Lily? Maybe the nice robot freed them, just like he freed us." she said and Lil chirped. "I bet they're flying around looking for you right now." she said and Lily nodded. "But we'll find them, no matter what."
Outside Gamma landed on the Egg Carrier's deck.
"Searching for data. E-Series Robot. Data located." he said and blasted a hole through a door and walked through.
Inside.
"This place is so big. I don't know where to start looking." Amy said and Lily chirped. "Huh? Oh, don't be discouraged, Lily. We won't give up, no matter how big this old ship is, will we?" she said and Lily got excited.
Elsewhere Decoe, Bocoe, and ZERO emerged from some rubble.
"Huh?" Decoe and Bocoe said.
"Where are we, Bocoe?" Decoe asked.
"I don't know but I think I've got a dent in my database." Bocoe said.
"Am I malfunctioning, or are we back in the middle of the Egg Carrier?"
"I think it is the Egg Carrier."
"But how is that possible, Bocoe?"
"Simple. You see, the Egg Carrier emits a very strong magnetic current. That current combined with the laws of gravity can become- Oh boy, is that who I think it is?"
Then they noticed that Amy was nearby.
"It's Amy!" they said.
"Quick, grab them before they get away again!" Decoe said as Amy fled from them.
Amy fled from the robots.
"Hold on tight, Lily!" she said and Bocoe, Decoe, and ZERO gave chase.
Bocoe, Decoe, and ZERO gave chase.
"Come back here, you!" Decoe and Bocoe said.
Amy made a flying leap into another room, then pressed a button that locked the door. Decoe tried to open the door.
"Open this door! You're not allowed in there!" he said.
Amy examined her surroundings.
"What's this place?" she said.
Meanwhile Gamma was standing before a heavily modified E-105 Zeta.
"Zeta." he said. Gamma said.
Meanwhile Amy looked at one of the screens in the room and saw Gamma.
"Look, Lily." she said and saw Beta being upgraded, and revealed that there were Flickies in both of them. "They're in the robots. Quick, let's got out of here!" she said and ran back and opened the door causing Bocoe and Decoe to stumble in and crash into the console.
She looked behind her to see ZERO.
"Don't even think about it, mister!" she said and hammered ZERO to the ground and fled.
Back with Gamma.
"Zeta data erased. Shutdown complete." he said.
Gamma had just shut down Zeta when Beta crashed through the ceiling.
Back with Amy.
"What do you suppose that awful crashing sound was?" she asked.
Back with Gamma.
Gamma and Beta stared each other down.
"Beta." he said and Beta fired a laser at him.
Back with Amy.
She covered her ears at the sound of the explosion, causing Lily to panic and flee.
"Lily, no! Come back!" she said and chased after her.
Back with Gamma Beta continued to fire at Gamma, forcing him backward.
"Stop, Beta. Eggman bad master. Destroyed friends. Eggman enemy." he said.
"Gamma not Master. Eggman Master. All enemies must be eliminated." Beta said.
Debris started to fall on Gamma, who fired back.
"Beta, mustn't shoot. Gamma friend." he said.
"Gamma not Master. Eggman Master. All enemies must be eliminated." Beta said as Amy ran into the room.
"Wait!" she said and saw Gamma and Beta fighting. "Wait! Be careful!"
Both robots fired at each other. Beta was the first to fall.
Amy gasped.
Beta's Flicky was ejected.
"Free now. Gamma, mission accomplished..." Gamma said and his visual sensors became static as he fell over.
"Oh no!" Amy said.
Gamma released his Flicky and the two Flickies flew away from the burning wreckage of Beta and Gamma to the top of the room. Lily chirped before joining them.
"You've done so much for Lily and me." Amy said to Gamma and started to cry. "Oh, Mr. Robot. I'll never forget you."
Lily and her brothers flew out of the Egg Carrier together.
At Mystic Ruins Sonic was lying on the ground, staring at the sky.
"I have to end him soon. I can't let him get back to hurting people again." she said shaking her head.
"Hey, Sonic!" someone said so she sat saw Tails approaching her. "What's up?"
"Hey, Tails. Glad to see you're okay!"
"Yeah, and Amy's okay too!" Tails said and saw dark clouds covered the sky. "Looks like a storm's coming."
Knuckles watched the lightning flash across the sky. A purple lightning bolt struck a tree.
He shook his head.
"This won't be a repeat of that day." he said.
Meanwhile, Eggman was flying through the forest.
"Blast that Sonic! I've got to find some way to get rid of that furry freak forever! We've been fighting for too long!" Eggman said surprised to see a large watery blob floating nearby. "Chaos!" he said and saw the Master Emerald.
