*I do not own the LOTR's characters. They belong to Tolkien. Romion belongs to me.

In His Brother's Arms
Romion was sleeping peacefully when he heard a scream followed by sobs that seems to belongs to his youngest brother, Legolas.
Legolas's room is only next to Romion's so he rushed to his brother's side, his heart fearing the worst.
As he opened the door, he saw Legolas was already awake, sitting up on his bed. Romion ran to Legolas.
"What's the matter little one?" Romion hug his little brother, his hand soothing the elfling's back.
"Had... bad... dream... spiders... eat... Las..." the elfling tried to get the words out between his sobs.
Then he buried his head to Romion's neck and continued crying.
"Shhh... It's okay little greenleaf. Tis' only a dream. It can't hurt you. Shhh... calm down my little greenleaf," Romion attempted to sooth and calm the elfling.
"Make... it... go... away?" Legolas pleaded, still trying to talk within his now small sobs.
Romion pulled his brother back, cupped both his hands to Legolas cheeks and looked into his brother's tear stained eyes.
"It's gone now, little greenleaf. Spiders are all gone. Tis' just me and you here in this room. You're safe in my arms," with that Romion pull Legolas into a tight hug.
Romion's effort worked as his brother now has stopped crying.
"Romi stay wif Las?" Legolas pleaded. Romion doesn't have the heart to say no.
"Yes, Romi stay with greenleaf tonight," Romion sooths his brother.
Romion make himself comfortable on Legolas's bed and with Legolas safely in his arms, he rocked his precious little greenleaf to sleep.
King Thranduil watched silently as his eldest son soothes and bring his youngest to sleep. He knew Romion will be a fine king when the time arrives.
When the elfling has fallen asleep in Romion's arms, the King closed the door slowly and walked to his chamber, knowing with relief that Legolas is safe, in his brother's arms tonight.
