Running as fast as she could Elena tried her hardest to hear something of Frank's
A heartbeat, a breathe, his blood pulsing
But overall nothing, nothing close only making Elena run faster
The girl had ran so fast that Danielle and Lucy could barely keep up behind her, granted they didn't have much time to catch up as Immediately Elena raced out of the apartment without a word making them confused so it's not like they had the luxury to get ready
Grabbing their jacket and Danielle grabbing her leather jacket and scarf they ran after their friend
Elena's heart was pounding fast, fast and hard, harder than ever
'Not again, please no not again' Elena thought
She couldn't lose another parental figure to her. And out of all people Frank, he couldn't die like this. Alone, thinking she hates him. Please he just couldn't

Elena's inner monologue was stopped when she heard a heartbeat within the city's grasp

It was slow, getting slower by the minute making her anxious and scared. Her senses picked up even more when she saw her apartment complex in view when she came to a stop across the street
Lucy and Danielle finally caught up to Elena needing to catch their breaths as they immediately let out heavy breaths
"...next time…tell us you're about to run a mile….." Danielle barley mustard out
Elena didn't even respond as she Immediately took to running again crossing the street making the two girls groan as they followed her
Elena had hastily jumped onto the outdoor stairs of the complex, climbing as fast as she could to get to her floor as Danielle and Lucy followed 2 steps behind
BANG
A gunshot rang out sending an Immediate shiver down Elena's spine forcing her to stumble back a little
Danielle had Immediately caught her with a worried look on her face
"Elena ? what's wrong ?"
Again the girl didn't say anything as she just looked up to the last flight of stairs before hopping over the railing running up the last flight racing her apartment
Opening her window Elena was shocked to see the amount of blood and sea of bodies that filled the place
The place she called a home, the place she slept was now full of blood, death and a weak groan Elena heard making her perk up
"FRANK !" Elena cried as she saw a body move
Danielle and Lucy soon filled in the apartment acting just as shocked as her when they saw the destruction and aftermath of the fight but that wasn't the task at hand as Elena had Immediately kneeled down to the older man's level propping him up against the wall to ease himself a little
Elena wanted to hold back the tears that seeped through, But she couldn't. It was Impossible.
With the blood seeping from the corner of his lip and the stab wounds and scuff marks on his iconic white skull vest Elena's tears hailed down like a rainfall. It was even worse when she heard his heartbeat getting slower and slower by the second
Letting out a small weak and fragile cough Frank forced his best smile. Something he's never been used to doing before
"Ehh, don't waste your tears on me Red *cough…..*cough….*cough….if anything it's about time death caught up to me"
As much as Elena tried to fight it and remain strong she just couldn't
"I'm so sorry Frank-"
Frank just shook his head
"No, no…don't blame yourself, this…..*cough….this isn't your fault"
Holding her eyes in a tight crying motion Frank smiled
"You've changed my life more than you could ever imagine Elena, you helped me become a person I didn't even know was alive anymore, helped me find myself again. Fight for something more than just myself, I've done a lot of bad things in my life but you" he said as he wiped the tears from her face
"You are the family that I lost, and now the big man can finally judge me for something I've done for someone one more than myself
Pressing a soft yet dying kiss to her forehead Frank used all the strength he had left handing her something
Elena took what Frank handed her in confusion feeling the soft metal around her fingertips Immediately knowing what it was
"Fr-"
"You were right, you were ready, I was just too scared to realize it"
Before she could say anything more Frank's coughs started to get aggressive as his heart started to skyrocketed making Elena alarmed as she took the man in her hands
"No no no no FRANK ! FRANK PLEASE NO NO ! FRANK !"
Danielle and Lucy couldn't do anything but watch in sadness as Frank took his dying breathes
"Hope you were watching Cap"
His heart beat started to come to a slowing beat before finally making its last draw before soon enough Elena heard nothing making her fall into a tearful cry as she hugged him dearly
On this night Frank Castle died, and with that died Elena's last connection to her past

The moon had never shined brighter in Elena's eyes than tonight, Because Tonight was different.
Tonight her eyes and ears were open
The city had a different smell as she just stood there on top of the building looking upon the horizon with a blank expression
As she continued to grip her father's billy clubs in her hand she continued to look upon the city hearing all of its as a whole
Danielle and Lucy stood there in sorrow and sadness. Looking at the girl who lost everything not even knowing how she could feel right now or even knowing what to say
Danielle licked her lips before speaking

"Im gonna kill him"
Those 4 words sent shivers down Lucy and Danielle's spine

"Richard Fisk, I'm gonna kill him. Take his life in that tower of his right there where my mother did and put a end to the Fisk bloodline"
Gripping the Billy Clubs in her hand Elena turned to look at Fisk Tower.
The Big tower that stood in the heart of Hell's Kitchen
"Richard was right, this is my legacy"
"Elena look, I know what happened was tragic, and we understand you need to time to grieve" Lucy said
"We packed your Bag with all your clothes and personal belongings. Come with us to our apartment you can stay there for as long as you like"
Even with the offer Lucy just said Elena just continued to look at Fisk tower with a blank expression
Lucy would call it a soulless look. One that takes great pain and suffering. To be cut off from the world everything around it and only have yourself
Looking back at her friends, the only things she had left Elena spoke softly
"I know what I am, what I fight for, what I need to become. I have to become something more, something to satisfy my rage and pain and hate, something which I can bury Elena Murdock, so she can have some sort of humanity. While the other part of me goes out into the night, and satisfies its rage. I must be more so I can protect the city my Father fought so hard to protect. Something that will make people like Richard think twice before committing a crime, For I only bleed, the blood of the people I Kill"
"Elena what are you saying" Danielle said softly
The question she didn't want an answer for as she was scared what she was gonna get but Elena just looked down at the Billy club in her hand
A long paused assured giving the 2 girls chills down their spines before suddenly Elena threw one of the red sticks right between the tunnel of their bodies making them flinch as the weapon had suddenly ricochet off a metal box swinging right through the tunnel of the two girls
With a quick catch Elena's knuckles tightened around the weapon this time. Her knuckles clenching with red desire as she just looked at her two closest friends
"Im Daredevil, and no God, Man or type of torture done to me can stop that now"
Danielle was right she knew she didn't want to her it
Walking over to the bag Lucy packed the first thing she found was her suit and dual Sai
"You 2 better go this is gonna get pretty messy" Elena said as she pulled the suit out of the bag
And all things considered they should've
They really should've but with a shared look to one another and a head nod Danielle shook her head
"No"
"No ?" Elena repeated
"Yeah, No. were not leaving you. Once a defender always a defender"
"Elena, you just lost a piece of your soul, your crazy to think were gonna leave you now, through thick and thin were gonna stay with you when the going gets tough because that's friends do"
"There's probably gonna be a lot of gunfire"
"Luckily i'm bulletproof" Danielle smiled
"Were probably gonna fight a lot of guys"
"Nothing I can't handle" Lucy smirked
"Were probably gonna die"
"Yeah well. If It didn't stop our parents, it sure as hell isn't gonna stop us"
Getting up to her feet with her suit in her hands she looked at the two girls

"Richard is on the top floor, that's where the office is. We gotta climb our way to the top" Elena said as she supported her iconic red and black now added with her father's Billy clubs on either sides of her legs in it's holsters with her dual Sai over them
"Easy enough. All we have to do is climb like what 70 floors" Lucy said
"We can skip to the 20th hallway, but after that we have to climb from the inside"
"And fight a large group of heavy armed guards" Danielle stated
"You could always leave"
"Nope, were with you 100 %"
With a final breathe Elena looked at them before putting on her mask and red scarf
Lucy had also followed in the act of covering her face as she put a mask over her face to her nose and put up her hoodie revealing a little of her hair
"You sure you don't want to cover your face babe ?"
"Ehh, it's fine 95 % of the people were gonna see in there are going to get knocked out anyway so it's whatever"
"Alright then girls, if your done with your chit chat I have a Kingpin to kill so come on" Elena said before suddenly bouncing off the building with flip
Danielle and Lucy saw as a red wire shot off wrapping around a building before they saw the red devil swing from it heading towards Fisk tower
"Man I gotta get one of those" Lucy said making Danielle laugh
"Come on Babe, lets go raid a tower"

Walking through the 20th hallaway stood 4 armed guards nothing different besides the everyday hire
So you could tell their reaction was quite a surprise when a sudden crash through the window was heard and in came Elena Immediately tackling a armed man by his neck maneuvering in the air to quickly slam his face into the ground
Before the other 3 could even react Elena threw the 2 Billy Clubs having the metal weapons ricochet off the wall before knocking 2 guards out on the opposite end of the man standing in front of her
With his hands shaking while trying to hold the gun Elena caught the 2 metal weapons in the air before landing her foot in his face making him hit the ground with a heavy thud
"Glad to know your getting used to those things" Lucy said as both her and Danielle entered through the hole Elena had made
But sadly Elena was to focused to even make note to the joke
"Gotta keep climbing, use the stairs" she said before ramming through staircase door making Danielle groan
"Great more running"

With his hands behind his back Richard watched on the security cams as Elena, Danielle and Lucy slowly climbed their way through the tower
Floor by floor they took out more and more guards clearing more and more floors
She didn't try to be stealthy, she wanted him to know she was coming. She didn't want it to be a secret
She was getting better, more skilled, more focused, going off nothing but pure blind rage and anger and hate for everything this building stood upon
It was certainly…interesting to watch

Dodging another punch thrown her way Elena quickly grabbed the man's arm making him yell in pain before quickly performing a back kick to the incoming man behind her
With her free hand she grabbed one of her Billy Clubs twirling the metal weapon within her hands before smacking the man smack dab right in the face causing blood to pool from his mouth before flipping him over ending the small fight with a knee to the face
2 more men were vastly approaching her. She heard there heavy breathes and angry yells
But she didn't pay much attention as she just whisked the Billy Club backwards extending the rope leaving the weapon to knock both of them out due to the hard impact before it soon connected again
Danielle and Lucy were still back to back
Lucy with her quick jabs. Blocking a man overhead attack countering with her own series of strikes to his torso and chest before grabbing his head to meet her knee. A clean hit, one that knocked him out instantly
Danielle met no trouble at all as luckily enough for her she was bulletproof, and damage proof so she didn't need to stay on the defensive as 1 or 2 hits were usually enough to finish the crowd of men that tried to attack her
It wasn't until a small group of armed guards with rifles came lining up there shots that Lucy's hand grew a bright yellow glow
"Hey Babe, wanna try that thing we discussed"
"The hitting each other thing or…..the bed thing"
Lucy dodged a quick jab before countering with a quicker leg sweep
"DEFINITELY THE HITTING EACH OTHER THING !"
Danielle blushed
"Oh yeah….right, yeah let's try it"
Before the bullets could start flying Lucy and Danielle faced one another before right then and there they clashed fist. Lucy's Iron FIst hitting Danielle straight knuckle for knuckle creating a strong and powerful shockwave about the place knocking all the men back into nearby walls
Looking around the area Lucy blew a breathe
"Wow, didn't know….didn't know it would have this much affect"
"Agreed…..this is…...definitely a result" Danielle responded
Dropping down into the scene Elena took notice of the damage
"Nice job, come on Richards only 10 floors up"
With a simple head nod Lucy and Danielle followed Elena ready to climb up the last remaining steps

Elena felt her heart pounding
She knew she shouldn't. But she couldn't help it. The more she continued to climb. The more she felt more anxious. More nervous

Kicking the hallway door open Elena immediately threw the Billy Club wrapping around a man's neck before pulling him down to the ground level choking him out
Another guard came rushing towards her in hopes of helping his fallen comrade but was met by a serious kick to the face by Lucy as she vaulted over Elena
pulling out a gun from his holster a man took ready aim to shoot but was suddenly stopped when Danielle grabbed the handle making him shoot his eyes up before looking at her
The young black woman just smiled and waved
"Hi" she said before using the waving arm to punch him through the wall before dropping the gun
"Alright, Richard should be 3 floors up" Lucy stated as the 3 girls regrouped
"It's a straight line from here, no cuts or men"
"We'll stay here, hold down the line while you go and…handle your business" Danielle said
Even through her eyes and mouth were covered they could see the emotion that leaked through them as Elena in her Daredevil costume just fiddled with her thumbs
"I uhh…..goodbyes were never really my thing" Elena said
Lucy and Danielle just chuckled
"Then let's not say goodbye"
"Yeah. let's just say, adios"
A faint chuckle escaped Elena's covered lips
"That's goodbye in spanish" she teased making Lucy chuckle
"But seriously, go kick some ass Elena, even if we don't agree with what you're about to do it's your call. Your mission, just know whatever you do won't change our opinion on you. You're our friend. Nothing will change that"
They couldn't see it but Elena was smiling behind the red scarf
For some reason the woman couldn't hold it in anymore as suddenly she grabbed the two girls holding them tightly in a deep hug and slowly enough they hugged back trying to hold on to their friend as hard as they can
But sadly there time was cut short when the hallway door burst open revealing a large group of men grabbing their attention
"GO ! we got this"
With a simple head nod Elena raced up the last remaining stairs ready to face her demons

This hallway was different from the others
It was darker, more faint
It radiated a different atmosphere and environment than the ones before as Elena could barely see her hands yet she could feel everything around her
The even stranger thing was within the hall she could heart a faint heart beat
It wasn't Richards as this one was too old. Too fragile to slow….
Elena's curiosity and Intrusive thoughts soon won over her as she quickly took a sharp right following the sounds of the weak breaths and heart beats which soon brought her too a dark room with a single bed and medic supplies
"What the hell ?" Elena murmured more confused than ever as she continued to walk through the room
The more she walked the more she heard the faint heartbeat and monitor bleeps getting closer and closer
It wasn't until she finally approached the bed to see who was there that her eyes lit up so bright that she thought they would pop out of her head
Immediately her hands began to shake as she gripped her hands to try to calm them
Her heart began to race 1 million miles per hour as she took down her scarf to reveal her lips as she murmured the words
"Fisk…"
The big man didn't respond hell Elena didn't even know if he was still alive
He just continued to look off blankly as Elena retreated back to her pure instinct and hatred as she slowly closed her mouth to swallow the note in her throat before reaching for her Sai
"It's really you" she began as her fingers pressed to the cool steel blade
"Wilson Fisk, in the flesh. The Kingpin"
She heard the man murmur something. What, probably a plead for his life
He knew who she was through that wasn't a doubt
"Do you know who I am" Elena asked
Even in his Blank state of mind Fisk just murmured mindlessly again giving her, her answer
And even if it wasn't a clear one, hell to most people they would be unsatisfied
Elena's face just slowly began to water up forcing her to take off her mask revealing her jet black hair with red streaks as tears started to leak from her face
Bringing her Sai to eye view Elena didn't hesitate to point it right at him. Not even a flinch was made from his body but she didn't care
"EVERYTHING WRONG ABOUT MY LIFE IS BECAUSE OF YOU ! EVERYTHING ! I WOULD STILL HAVE MY PARENTS ! I WOULD STILL HAVE FRANK ! I WOULDN'T NEED TO BE DAREDEVIL IF YOU JUST LEFT MY FAMILY ALONE ! WHY ! WHY ! WHY DID YOU DO THE THINGS THAT YOU DID ! WHY DID YOU HAVE TO BE SO EVIL ! WHY COULDN'T YOU JUST LEAVE US ALONE !"
Fisk's expression didn't change only angering Elena more as to her that was the final straw
Bringing her Sai down with all the anger and hate she had within her body she stabbed the man right then and there. Right in the neck before pulling the blade out revealing the seeping blood that continued to drip down to the ground
"NOOOOO !" A voice cried out making Elena turn her head quickly to see Richard standing at the doorway
Tears also were on his face as he must've witnessed the stab but a fire rooted within Elena as her tears had already dried. She didn't care how he felt in the moment as she only said one thing
"Now we're even"
Letting out a primal scream of nothing but fitted rage Richard had Immediately charged at Elena with every bone in his body making Elena quickly pocket her Sai before going for a quick leg sweep making him fly into the nearby bookshelves crashing right into them breaking the empty handles below
Richard let out a groan, quickly wiping his nose before rising to his feet to mee Elena's angry glare
He restored back with his own
Slowly taking off his suit jacket letting it fall to the floor before rolling up his sleeves of his dress shirt
"You killed my father"
"His heart was racing at 10 beats per minute he was dead long before I took the final blow"
"I DON'T GIVE A SHIT WHAT HIS HEART WAS AT ! HIS BLOOD WAS ON YOUR HANDS !"
Cracking his knuckles tightly Richard raised his fist into their fighting position
"This ends now ! Murdock ! right now !"
He was right, this had to end
Cracking her neck Elena brought her hands up to her fighting position as well
"Well come on Richie, let's end this rivalry"

With all the buried anger they had for each other this was all it lead up too
The final feud, fight for their family. An age old classic
Fisk vs Murdock
The two children of the crime lord and Vigilante were running on nothing more than hate pure own hate
Dodging another uppercut swing Elena quickly grabbed Richard's arm before swinging her body under it standing right next to him before bending him down to meet her knee causing blood to gush from his nose on the first hit
Again and again Elena followed with the same attack hitting with the same knee attack over and over before Richard had enough blocking her next Knee before swooping down to grab by her bottom half. To slam her right down into the ground
Richard's furry didn't stop as he quickly shot forth 1 punch, then 2, then 3 all hitting straight in her face causing blood to seep down the conner of her lip
The 4th connected. And when she tried to do a 5th Elena grabbed his arm pulling him down to a hard filled headbutt before rolling him over launching him out the room to burst through the door with her legs before doing a Kick Up to rise to her feet
Richard had quickly recovered up but when he got equal footing he was soon met by a kick to his backside causing hard pain to his shoulder making him slightly yell in pain
Turning around he saw Elena Immediately send a punch his way. One he merely dodged as she hit the door. But it didn't matter as she sent a flurry of punches to his gut before ending it with a side kick making him burst through the door to slide onto the ground with a hard groan
His white shirt started to wet with his own blood as he began to bleed all around his mouth. Damn near tasting the blood that coded him
He attempted to get up once more but was stopped when Elena pressed a knee to his hands making him groan before she felt her sharp blade pierce his neck blood slowly trailing down the middle blade's line
"This what you wanted huh, for me to kill you, WELL HERE IT IS ASSHOLE ! Time to meet your parents"
With a quick flip of the Sai Elena hailed the metal weapon down with the full force and intent to stab Richard but suddenly stopped when a blinding white light flashed her eyes making her wince back in pain
"AHH ! "
Immediately shot off of Richard now attending to her newest problem
Her eyes
She couldn't see !
Richard darkly chuckled as he slowly arose to his feet
"Guess Daddy didn't bestow his blindness sight to his little girl. Shame"
Continuously wiping her eyes hastily Elena saw nothing but white flashes and dragged out lazy pictures of everything around her before suddenly she was knocked to the ground be a serious punch making blood spill from her mouth
"Ultra violet flash, cost a fortune, luckily something I have. Same grade Military used for high powered flashbangs and what not" Richard said before sending a kick to her stomach
"It's not permanent no no, it only lasts for 10 minutes. But let's be honest"
Sending a stomp to her face Elena groaned laying flat on her back as blood started to erupt from her mouth
Her ears were ringing and her vision was a fucking mess she could practically hear Frank screaming at her to get up and fight back
"You know Elena" Richard started as he checked the clip of his gun
"I gotta say, I'm really gonna enjoy this" he said before clocking the gun back
Walking over to the semi blind girl he pointed the gun at her head standing right above her as he watched her blind eyes fade
"Say hello to Mommy and Daddy for me"
It was easier said than done to fight back when she couldn't see and she had a whole lot of not seeing right now
But Elena knew she couldn't give up, she couldn't end here. Not like this. Not now. This couldn't be the end of her story, her legacy, her bloodline and family.
Trying her hardest to picture something, anything clearly
And as she tried harder squinting her eyes to try and picture something that's when she saw it
One by one the nothing but black image started to picture into more
More than just black
Dark purple wavelengths that began to picture everything around her
The sight also made her smile whole heartedly as she knew what this was
"My hyper sonic senses…."
She could see…everything. She could see more than her eyes ever allowed her too
It was amazing
And it was exactly what she needed to kick Richard's ass
Before he could pull the trigger of the gun Elena quickly kicked him in the knee making him drop down to it with a groan before wrapping her legs up around his neck slamming him down to the ground below taking his arm in hers in a tight arm lock
"AH ! WHAT THE ! HOW !"
Elena just smirked
"I can see everything" she said before kicking him square in the face before using her hands to flip back to her feet
With a groan and a slam to the ground Richard was fed up with these games as he Immediately marched up to the smirking Elena letting out his rage and furry through his punches
Except each hit Elena dodged with ease still supporting her smile
It was making Richard mad as he swung more punches before attempting a spinning heel kick another move easily dodged by the Devil as she just chuckled
"Come on that's all you got" she teased making him groan before attempting the kick again, and again, and again, and again
More and more he tried to hit her only ending in her chuckling at his failure
Finally he sent a singular punch straight towards her a move she quickly countered with a block from her wrist before doing a side summy into a kick forcing Richard to reel back in pain
"GAH !"
With a smirk on her face Elena enjoyed this more than she should've as she simply taunted the young man smirking with her eyes closed pointing the middle finger up at him
Richard sniffled his nose to keep the blood in tact before letting out a animalistic grunt ready to make his move
And Elena planned on making this her last as well as together the 2 charged at one another
Richard throwing his final strike and Elena who simply dodged before jumping up clenching around the back of his neck using her momentum she had to swing herself around slamming Richard right in the middle of his table breaking the wooden tool right there and then ending the fight for what it was even worth
Richard had finally stayed down. To injured and bloody to even think of moving and that was just fine for Elena as she had opened her eyes to see the night glow and moon shine in the office
When she caught wind of Richard's unconscious form laying there she looked down at the gun laying right beside her feet
She had to think really truly think
If she killed him. Would it truly end it all? The Rivalry, The Feud ? the fight ? Would Frank want her to take a life for vengeance ? or would she want her to be better. Be something more than some Punisher
She was left with a choice one that would choose the path of her life

Knocking out the last guard in the hallway Lucy took off her hoodie and mask before looking at Danielle
"We better get going soon, cops are coming to check out the Fisk Tower break in"
"Alright but where's Elena ?"
Looking around the hall the two girls suddenly heard steps come down the hallway
Their hearts dropped to find Elena dragging Richard's body down the steps
"Elena….." Danielle began but stopped when she saw the ties around his arms and light smile on her face
Dropping the young boy to the ground Elena sighed
"Well come on, you wanna explain this to the cops"
Lucy and Danielle just laughed before following her, ready to escape the Tower

Placing the rose down next to the gravestone Elena held a sadden look on her face as she touched the Gravestone in the park

"Were sorry this happened E" a voice said making the girls turn their heads to reveal
James, Francis, Tournn, Pym and Azari all with sorrow looks on there faces
Expect Elena, who just sadly smiled
"It's ok guys, Death…Death is something we should all know well"
"There's a saying" Azari said
"In my culture, Death, does not mean the end" he said as everyone looked at him listening to the words he said
"It's more of a stepping off point, you reach out with both hands and bust in bust in sekhmet, they lead you into the green world where you can run forever"
